Pros: definitely a different style hotel but we still loved the concept. staff was very friendly. we would definitely stay here again.
Cons: since there wasn't any superfluous people like bell boys or concierge desks, I wish I saw a lil more savings and value in the price to stay here.
Excellent9.4
Pros: Exactly what I needed for a one night business trip. Room is compact, but designed to be so, and spotlessly clean. Has a great location, fast wifi, brilliant communal spaces for getting out the laptop, and it took less than a minute to check in and out.
Excellent9.7
Pros: The rooms are little pods, but really fine for the price. Very clean. They are having issues with the some of the iPads that control room temp, lights, etc, but assured me this was a temporary glitch, as this was a new batch. The lobby is amazing and the location stellar. The staff might be the nicest and friendliest of any hotel I've ever stayed in. Inexpensive and tasty buffet breakfast at communal tables gives you the chance to chat with lovely people from all over the world. Rooftop bar has beautiful views.
Cons: Just the iPad situation, and that was very minor compared to all the positives. The controls were still functional, so no real problem on my end. Just had to frequently reboot.
Excellent10.0
Pros: Private rooftop bar and cozy lobby hangout space. European style breakfast lounge and 24 hr snack pantry. Room was small (though big for New York!) yet thoughtfully laid out with clever use of space. Fun/funky upscale low key vibe just perfect. Midtown location excellent for exploring NYC and checking out theatre scene. Daily complimentary bottled water. Friendly, helpful staff
Cons: If you pay for your breakfasts when you check in you save a couple bucks vs. paying on day of. I can understand that you'd want to have an estimate of how many diners they will be but, come on, this felt a little nickel and dime-y when everything else was so seamless.
Located in Midtown, this eco-friendly hotel is within a 5-minute walk of Times Square and Broadway. Central Park and Rockefeller Center are also within 15 minutes. 49th St. Station is 5 minutes by foot and 50 St. Station (Broadway) is 9 minutes.

Pros: Room was really nice. Great view and location
Cons: Nothing
Excellent10.0
Pros: Easy walk over to Times Square. The room was beautiful and I really felt like I got a great deal staying here! It's New York so of course it was a tight fit, but our family of four in the double deluxe room never felt too crowded. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the neighborhood was close enough to Subways and other destinations, but far enough from all the action and noise. Will definitely remember this place the next time I visit New York!
Cons: The only issue that ever came up was the shower would leak a bit into the hallway floor.
Good6.5
Pros: The location was great for Broadway shows.
Cons: The rooms were minimalist, which is okay because you aren’t there much. However, the biggest problem we had was that our key demagnetized EVERY.SINGLE.DAY. We put it in different pockets, away from cell phones, we were very careful because it got SO ANNOYING to have to trek back to the desk from the 17th floor every time we went back to the room. Our subway cards didn’t demagnetize stored the same way. I stay in hotels frequently at all price points and have never had this consistent a problem with room access. By the end of the trip I thought I should just probably go wait in the front desk line every time I walked through the lobby just to avoid the trip back down.
Okay4.8
Pros: Great location.
Cons: Room was EXTREMELY small. Unclean (hairs in sink and on bathroom floor). Not even a small, single serve coffee machine in the room. All for $450 per night?
Excellent10.0
Hotel was beautiful, rooms were spacious for NYC, and the location was perfect! Breakfast was good and it saved a lot of money vs. going out to eat each morning. We’ll definitely be back, well worth the money!
Excellent8.2
Cons: Near Times Square, cleanliness and open room with large window...
Excellent8.0
Pros: The room size and lobby staff
Cons: Service on the room was not attempted until 5:20 p.m.
Okay5.9
Rotting hole in the bathroom ceiling, very limited fitness center, no pool, staff did not explain the key card procedures. Otherwise fairly nice and good location.
Good7.7
Cons: The bathroom was very undesirable!! From the door not shutting all the way (sitting at the desk you could see the person sitting on the toilet because there was that much of a gap) to the shower that everyone can see your shadow in - so uncomfortable with others in the room
Excellent10.0
Great location! The restaurant below was excellent. Buffet breakfast was very good. Sometimes there was a very long line but moved quickly. It was irritating using room key for elevator and lights but was fine once you got used to it (and when it worked). Check-in line was always way too long- there needs to be online check-in that allowed not going to the desk. Would definitely stay here again!
Excellent10.0
Pros: Full buffet breakfast saves money and time running out elsewhere. Location is perfect. Only a block from Times Square. A block from most broadway shows. Lots of restaurants close by and close to subway . Our flight was early and they gave us a room at 9:30am at no extra charge . We will definitiley stay there again.

Pros: location was amazing. staff was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: room smelled like cigarette smoke.
Good7.7
Pros: This hotel is conveniently located near Times Square and Broadway shows. I would definitely stay here again. Staff was friendly.
Cons: It is not as modern as some of the more exclusive hotels but worth the price as it is less expensive as most NYC hotels in the area.
Excellent8.2
Pros: Right next to Times Square. Clean rooms. We stayed in an apartment style room (2 rooms and one sofa bed).
Cons: The mattress of sofa was extremely old and useless. The person who was supposed to sleep on it ended up sleeping with somebody else’s bed
Excellent10.0
Pros: Location was fantastic
Excellent10.0
Pros: The location was perfect and the price was affordable. The staff was very friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. I will definitely stay here again.
Cons: At first, I did not like being unable to guarantee a nonsmoking room and was given a smoking room. However, even as picky as I am about that, I couldn't tell it was a smoking room or floor.

Cons: nothing
Excellent10.0
Pros: We went to NYC just before Christmas and could not have been happier with this hotel. Although our room was small, we did not spend much time in the room and therefore it did not bother us! The staff was so friendly and helpful and the location was amazing! We would definitely stay here again on our next visit to the city!

Pros: Great price for a room in Times Square. Nice room with basic amenities. The Polynesian was great to have in house.
Cons: Noise in morning is a thing. Had street noise and noise from apartment next door

Cons: My stay was prepaid. However, at check-in, I was charged another $50 for "property use fee" :-( . Other than that, the hotel met my expectations and staff was nice. I would stay again :-)

Pros: Very clean with most amenities, location was great
Cons: Check-in/Check-Out Lobby space is tight and crowded

Pros: Second time staying in this Hotel. It has a great location and provides me with all the essentials during my stay. I like their minimalist style and the rooms are very comfortable and well designed. Also the price is very competitive.

Pros: Great location and very friendly staff!

Cons: The hotel never received a certificate of occupancy and couldn't open on time. When I booked this room over 30 days in advance, they never once mentioned that they weren't already open.

Pros: The rooftop was amazing !
Cons: Was confused about the hotel facilities and how to gain access to the terrace - more info at checkin would be good
Good6.0
Pros: Bed was comfortable. Room was small but adequate. Nice views
Cons: Night stands are sloped. Meaning drinks don't stay put. Tiny bathroom. Almost claustrophobic. Stingy with soap and lotion- replace if shen you clean and don't make me call for some. Also don't close roof for renovations without telling people in advance.
Excellent8.0
great location, but LOUD LOUD LOUD hotel! The surrounding nightclubs (and the hotel's own nightclub) mean that the thumping music and rowdy crowds go until 4 a.m. pretty much every night. Ear plugs, white noise app, sleeping pills, and STILL couldn't sleep. fantastic gym with crazy views (weights, stairmasters, Pelotons). cleaning people were awesome--thorough, efficient, and sweet. Room service was really good--coffee was fresh and hot (seems a tough thing to achieve for most hotels). design was great, and the room was nice and bright with an amazing view. some form over function issues (open shower left black tile bathroom floors soaked, even with a dam of towels to prevent it). pushing floor numbers in the elevator was a challenge, because it was so freaking dark (the numbers were next to, not ON the illuminated floor buttons), and you only have a few seconds between tapping your security card and pressing your floor button. truly, it's a great hotel in a lot of ways, but the noise level was ridiculous, so you should take into account what your agenda is going to be for your trip to NYC.
Excellent8.2
Pros: Stayed for conference and anniversary. Asked 3 days ahead to have flowers delivered to room. Never happened. Asked day of and they would have concierge reach out to me. Never happened. Restaurant. Was outstanding. Top floor was a bunch of nobodies acting quite pretentious.
Good7.4
Pros: Cannot beats the location! It’s very high in NYC Hot zones!
Cons: The Standard Highline review TOILET PAPER! Worst toilet paper ever!!! BRING YOUR OWN!! SERIOUSLY!!!!!! It’s like Cold War East Germany Military-grade issued!!! Single ply you can almost see through!!! If you’re not careful, you might sand off your butt or get a bad paper cut! Really for almost $400/night to have such crappy toilet paper???!!!??? (Pun intended!) Really BRING YOUR OWN TP!!! Otherwise everything was quite nice - especially the views from the room!!!
Okay4.0
Pros: the location was good
Cons: This place needs a makeover badly. Not only did it look run down but there were many issues with lack of maintenance in the room. They also didn't honor the special promised on their webpage then won't answer my emails now. Poor customer service on top of a tired hotel. Avoid.
Okay4.0
Pros: Friendly front desk staff.
Cons: $34 resort fee includes WiFi, which nearly always means they'll just take any separate WiFi charge off the bill when you leave. Not here! $19.99 daily upcharge for "fast" WiFi, and no warning whatsoever, not even when you check out, unless you ask. They took some but not all WiFi charges off. But hey, if you don't need fast WiFi or don't mind paying $54 per day for it, the hotel is great.
Excellent10.0
Pros: Super comfortable bed, awesome views, helpful staff, great location.
Cons: Bluetooth speaker wasn't working when we arrived but the staff replaced it pretty much immediately. Thanks for that!

Pros: The bed was OK. A bit squeaky. The hotel has a cool vibe

Pros: The hotel is a landmark. It is in a great location and gives great access to Central Park. It is also not too far of a walk to the theater district. The rooms were clean and spacious. The beds were comfortable.
Cons: The staff seemed indifferent. The revolving door wasn't working, so we had to go in through side doors. The doormen (sometimes as many as three) just stood around watching, not helping at all with the doors, which were heavy. Breakfast in the lobby: we were seated and I asked the purpose seating us to bring coffee. He said the server would be right with us. After 5 minutes there was no server to been seen. Why didn't the person seating us just bring us coffee? Very mediocre attitude. This hotel was not at all worth the price we paid.
Excellent10.0
Pros: Everything was great about the Plaza! The hotel staff was so nice. They were always asking us how we were doing and if we needed anything. Our room was amazing! Very luxurious! The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. The mini bar was filled with all kinds of drinks and snacks. I think our favorite part was the bathroom. The walk in shower with the huge shower head was ginormous! The tub was rather large too! Everything was very very clean. It felt like it was brand new and we were the first people to stay in it! The hotel location was great also. Central Park and a subway station is right across the street so it was quite easy going to and from the Yankees games. We will definitely stay at the Plaza again!

Me and my fiancé booked a room with moxy and when we booked we had seen the pictures of the room and booked it. At least the pictures showed that we would have enough space to move around in the room with our luggage present. When we checked in the room was a matchbox room, it was so small that one of us had to stand in the bathroom, so the other can open the luggage. The room had a bed which was between two walls end to end and at one end we had a tv. So basically it was a capsule bedroom and this was not mentioned when we booked it. In all this was a disappointment and I would never go there again or recommend it to anyone.

Pros: Rooms were clean, shower was great, restaurant was excellent
Cons: staff didn't want to help with anything, on the 15th floor and could still hear the music from the bar from the 2nd floor at 1am
Excellent10.0
Pros: Very reasonably prices for the time I stayed and extremely cozy! The bar on the 2nd floor is a great place to unwind and the staff was super friendly.
Cons: N/A
Excellent10.0
Pros: Really enjoyed my stay here. Amazing from start to ending. Great friendly and helpful staff. Customer service excellent!! The beds are super cozy, rooms are small yet still beautifully modeled. Would definitely recommend staying here again my next visit. Great location in the heart of timeshare. Amazing!!
Cons: Loved everything
Excellent9.7
Pros: Super comfortable beds, great location cool bar and super friendly staff
Cons: I know its NYC but rooms are small
Excellent10.0
Pros: Sheet as comforter. Body wash shampoo pump in shower! Cell phone shelf and outlets to charge underneath on wall by bed
Good6.2
Pros: Location
Cons: They charge at least 5 USD per package if you get anything delivered. Check-in process is a nightmare. No closet in the rooms. Not good for business trips.
Excellent8.0
Pros: Location
Cons: Luggage storage
Excellent9.7
Pros: Room was comfortable, very efficient for the space and quiet. NYC can be loud due to traffic and people, but I was not disturbed! They also welcomed me with a personal, hand-written note in the room.
Excellent10.0
Great location and staff. Only downside was how tiny the rooms are. Makes sense for Manhattan though
Located in Midtown, this boutique hotel is within a 10-minute walk of Empire State Building, Madison Square Park and Macy's. 33 St. Station (Park Av. S) is only a 4-minute walk and 28 St. Station (Park Av. S) is 5 minutes.

Pros: Bed was super comfortable
Cons: Long waits for the elevator
Excellent10.0
Pros: Modern design, the lounge area is designed to incorporate as co-working space where people can do work or have meeting, rooftop bar with great view to the city and empire state building, free bike rental, friendly staff
Cons: The room is a little small compare to other traditional hotel but it is really clever designed to maximize the use of space. There's only one glass door between the bathroom and the outside. If you share the room with someone, your 'business' could be heard.
Excellent8.5
Pros: As an interior designer, I have an appreciation to the level of design and details. The room was small, but because of thoughtful use of space, it functioned really well for our needs, plus with an expansive corner of floor to ceiling glass, it still felt open and airy. Great views. We loved hanging out in the public spaces, listening to live jazz. Only disappointment was that the roof deck was not open during our stay. Would have liked to have experienced that. The breakfast toast available in the lobby was amazing.
Cons: The HVAC system was loud. I did not sleep well the first night because of it. The entry doors are huge and heavy. While the ADA automatic door buttons were helpful, a door man would be a nice addition to help guests in and out of the Lobby with luggage. The elevators were slow. At times there was a line to get on the elevator on main level.
Excellent10.0
Pros: Great studio space for working with yummy food and bar services available throughout the common areas. Surrounded by the city and all the great Korean food. Wifi is included and suer nice staff. Great value in this city.

Pros: Rooms were clean, beds very comfortable, maid service timely, toiletries excellent, service excellent, fitness room spacious, and outstanding location - one block from Times Square, next door to subway stop to SoHo and 2 block from subway going uptown, near great restaurants a block away, and a block or two from most of the major theaters . We have now stayed here three times in the past 4 years - not willing to risk staying somewhere else
Cons: Nothing not to like, except it can be pricey depending on the day of the week you stay ($300-$400/night), but it is worth it.
Good7.1
Pros: for the buffet breakfast they write down 18% tip???
Okay5.7
Pros: If you want to be in the middle of it all at Time Square stay here.
Cons: Everything from the quality of room service, attention to detail and cleanliness, broken wifi, and price tag was incredibly underwhelming for a 4+ star hotel. The Hilton a few blocks away is a better value and so is the Westin across the street. This hotel felt stuff, old and dated.
Excellent8.8
Pros: The bed was super comfortable
Cons: The front desk could have been friendlier
Good7.4
Pros: Great room, great view
Cons: Pay for wi-fi in the room; shower had no separation in bathroom (lip or tub around bottom - shower water got everywhere. Could not find free coffee in room or a free bottled water. For $400, I would have expected more amenities. Elevator keys did not work for several people, including me, to get to your floor. We rode up and down the elevator several times in less than 24 hours. Many others had the same problem. Big waste of time.
Excellent8.0
Pros: Clean room, comfortable bed, nice walk in shower (no tub). Subway entrance right outside.
Cons: WiFi wasn't free unless you sign up to rewards club.
Excellent10.0
Pros: Amazing room, location and staff.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent10.0
Pros: Loved the location, quietness, cleanliness and courteous staff
Cons: Paying for wifi
Okay4.5
Pros: Nice hotel friendly people
Cons: The parking people they are affiliated with are ripoff scam artists! DO NOT PARK THERE
Excellent10.0
Pros: Great location, if you can tolerate Times Square. Stayed in a king corner room on the 16th floor. Wife and I loved the bed, the view, and the bathroom. Subway doesn't get any closer, entrance is immediately outside lobby door. Gym was spacious, if you need that. Didn't try the bar/restaurant, just too many other choices in Manhattan. For that matter, nice bathroom and comfy bed is all we needed, as we weren't looking to waste time sitting in the hotel.
Cons: Again, location is great as long as you want to be very close to Times Square and all that comes with it. Noise of the city is audible on the 16th floor, but wasn't a problem for either of us sleeping through it. Wifi has a fee, but you can avoid it if you sign up for IHC membership.
Excellent10.0
Pros: Room was very clean. Great staff. Great amenities. Close to all restaurants/bars, time square, parks, etc.
Located in Midtown, this hotel is within a 5-minute walk of Times Square, Gershwin Theater and Ambassador Theatre. Broadway and Broadway Theatre are also within 10 minutes. 49th St. Station is 6 minutes by foot and 50 St. Station (Broadway) is 7 minutes.

Our standard king room was large (for New York) and very comfortable. Up to date bathroom and fixtures but in a conventional style Great service. Free baggage check. Art deco lobby, but building has a vaguely venetian facade. Excellent location just off Times Square. will stay here again.

Pros: Did not stay there. Trip was canceled.
Excellent8.8
Pros: The best thing about this hotel was the comfortable king bed...and it truly was king sized! The size of the room was pretty large for NYC, bathroom was a bit small though. It's a clean hotel with a friendly staff. The drawback is the it is a bit of a walk to Times Square and Rock center but definitely within walking distance. The only negative was that they will charge you to use WiFi.
Excellent8.8
Pros: The location was great, the rooms were clean, and we had generally no problems.
Cons: The elevators can be kind of finicky and slow.
Excellent9.1
Pros: Location, affordability, friendly staff Good view (on the 12th floor)
Cons: Slow elevators
Excellent9.1
Pros: Walk to everything. Could see all the lights of Time Square. Will stay there again!
Cons: Elevators were slow and under repairs.
Excellent10.0
Pros: I highly recommend this hotel! Easy access, comfortable, and the staff was wonderful!
Excellent9.7
Pros: Great location. Very comfortable room. Able to control room temperature very well. Buffet breakfast very good.
Excellent8.8
Pros: The location was great and the staff courteous. The beds were very comfortable. There is a nice little workout room.
Cons: The room was pretty tight for three people. Also, when I called to ask the concierge about transportation to the Newark, NJ airport, she did not know to tell us there was a bus directly from Port Authority to the airport. She had described a multi step trip on the subway to the commuter train, the schedules for which "change every day." The other option she gave us was a $100 cab trip. We opted to take the bus home when catching our flight appeared it was going to be too expensive or too complicated for newbies to NYC. We learned of the bus going directly to the airport when we arrived at Port Authority. But by then it was too late to make our flight.
Excellent8.5
Pros: Location is close to so many great New York sights. We walked to most of the stuff we wanted to see.
Cons: Elevators are a bit old. But there are 4 total - Pro tip use the ones at the ends of the halls, they are smaller but less used.
Excellent10.0
Pros: The hotel seem to anticipate the big and little things an experienced traveller expects and as i found out, even unusual requests . My companion is superstitious about room numbers and the front desk changed our rooms with a smile as if they do this all the time. Most of all, the hotel is very well located. it is close to the shows and restaurants that bring you to new york in the first place.
Cons: The staff took a long time to get our bags from storage when we checked out. We did not miss our connection but i was disappointed for the hotel because they were doing a really good job. Overall however, I give the Belvedere my highest recommendation.
Good6.0
Cons: The fact that there was only decaf coffee pods in the room. People staying in a hotel do not always want just decaf. The room we stayed in had no bathtub and I was very disappointed with that.
Excellent8.2
Pros: This is a real value in NYC. The rooms are NY smallish, but comfortable. The location is close to the C E trains, and the staff is excellent.
Cons: Prices float so check periodically for good deals.

The stay was great! The only part that was not great were 1) the bellmen at the entrance: they are rude and uninterested in helping. They are just there talking to each other and never opened a door, or helped with anything. They seem bored and too comfortable in their position, and 2) the woman/host at the restaurant: she was rude and acted as if it was the Maxims, even thou the place was empty! I never went back to the restaurant because of her Otherwise, the hotel is very good and the rest of the staff is great: the front desk, the cleaning people, the people on the phone, the coffee shop lady!!!!! They were fabulous.

Had a very late check in after a long day of traveling. Front desk staff was not very pleasant or friendly. Efficient in checking us in but no smile no thank you for your patronage. Got to room no bottled water, tried to find information on vending machines on the floor nothing in the room called the front desk and was told there aren’t any but if I come back down to the front desk she would give me two complimentary bottles. We were on the 35th floor. I went back down and she gave me two bottles. I am a Hilton Honors member, gee you would think it would have been offered when we checked in. Not impressed with that but all in all room was clean and comfortable. Coffee shop staff and concierge were very kind and helpful.
Excellent10.0
Pros: Staff was very friendly -- they checked me in early and gave helpful directions. View from my room was great.
Cons: Wish the location was a bit closer to Times Square, but it's not too far...
Good7.6
Pros: Nice view, spacious room, relaxing hotel to stay at for a night. There's a pool!
Cons: The room was so cold even when we turned down the air. Also the location is a little removed from the rest of the city. If you need any emergency supplies, you have to go back out to find them because the gift shop in the hotel was closed when we arrived around 5:00 pm.
Good6.8
Pros: View of the east river.
Cons: Small, odly shaped rooms. Door opens into a narrow passage so you have to do a dance to get into the room. Windows are small, so feel cramped inside.
Excellent10.0
Pros: Great location. Nice pool for a downtown hotel.
Excellent9.3
Pros: I had an amazing view of southern Manhatten and the room was quite large for NY. The Lower East side has great restaurants and is only about a 10-15 minute walk from the theatre district.
Cons: All of the room was fantastic except for the dated shower head. Wifi was extra which i always think is a ripoff, but other then that I loved it.
Excellent8.3
Pros: perfect view, large, clean room.
Cons: must pay extra for in-room coffee/fridge and the wi-fi charge was way too high. Even less expensive hotels have FREE WI-FI
Okay5.0
Pros: The view
Cons: Room was old with stains on walls, pretty bare, staff was not very professional
Excellent9.4
Pros: Clean, very friendly staff and comfortable accommodations.
Cons: Wall were thin, we could hear entire conversations going on at all times.
Excellent8.8
Pros: I liked the view of the New York skyline from my room. The hotel was very clean and nice.
Excellent9.1
Pros: Great staff loved the security dog in lubby
Cons: To get in shower was quote slippery and shower head in a weird place
Good7.3
Pros: The layout of the room. The View.
Cons: Parking was expensive, significantly more than it would have been if I had parked myself. The staff was not necessarily rude, but not very congenial either.
Good7.1
Pros: I liked the location of this hotel. It is close to United nations building. The room was very clean and overall ambience of the hotel is quite good. I would like to stay again in this hotel.
Excellent9.4
Pros: Room was spacious with nice view of the city! Room had Illy espresso machine.
Cons: Business lounge is dull
Good7.7
Pros: Location -- close to UN where our meeting was held;
Cons: Small, crowded lobby; no bell boy service for luggage; only one courtesy phone in the lobby;
Okay4.3
Pros: The view and location. Had comfortable beds!
Cons: The filthy bathrooms!!! They had my reservations wrong! Supposed to have 2 double rooms! Didn't have them available !very upset and the desk clerk hid from me! Wasn't even compensated for not having my rooms! Told me that booking thru these places sometimes gets messed up! Not reliable! Very disappointed in how they handled the situation! Especially since it was 2:00 in the morning!
Good6.2
Pros: The small bar in the lobby. Friendly staff Good general location
Cons: Too expensive for outdated rooms especially bathroom. Internet connectivity could be better and included in the price.
Excellent10.0
Pros: The hotel is located across the street from the UN Headquarters, where I had a meeting. There are many reasonably priced and good restaurants nearby.
Good7.0
Pros: Hotel manager Erica was very accommodating when there was an issue
Cons: The room reserved wasn't available. Reserved 2 double beds and only a king available. Also noticed the family checking I next to us had a daughter in a wheel chair and the room they had reserved wasn't available. They needed wheelchair accessible bathroom. No coffee maker in the room. Found out the day we left that all we needed to do was ask housekeeping. That information should have been provided on check in. Bedspread was dirty. Pull out couch didn't have sheets.
Mediocre2.0
Pros: the kinds and the hospitality of the old men's who are as a bag carriers
Cons: Receptions staff and their behaviors with gusts who booked through third party. old rooms and furniture not as same as in the pictures in Kayak.
Mediocre3.0
Pros: I liked the fact the hotel was clean.
Cons: I did not like the fact that the staff at the UN was very unprofessional. Erica the front desk manger was short winded and unprofessional, and also Victor.
Good6.6
Pros: Location and view were excellent.
Cons: The room we had in the East Tower was very dated. The bathroom was terrible!
Excellent10.0
Pros: The One UN New York was very comfortable and well maintained. I particularly liked its proximity to the UN Headquarters, where I was attending a meeting. An added plus was the great views from my room to the south and west, so I could see the Empire State Building and Chrysler Building.
Excellent8.0
Pros: the bed is very comfortable if we hadn't set alarms would have slept the whole day. the amenities in the room alone are a nice add. the staff was efficient and helpful.
Cons: there were gnats in the shower and when we checked out and had to leave the bags at the desk the bellman took about 20 minutes to show up and help us.
Mediocre3.0
Cons: Very poor quality furniture and fixtures....beds very uncomfortable and noisy....unpleasant smell in room expecially closet (did not hang clothes in closet because of the smell) Breakfast for two $84.00 (overpriced for quality) I stayed in this hotel for three nights and will not recommend this hotel to anyone. Maybe a two star hotel????

Cons: Small bed, not "king sized"

Pros: I rarely write reviews but our stay at Hoilday Inn LES was perfect as it was three blocks away from my family we were visiting. We booked two rooms for the price of one boutique hotel in the neighborhood. The rooms were clean and modern. I've stayed in luxury hotels like the Ritz and boutique hotels like the Kimptons. This Holiday Inn room reminded me of the W Hotel in San Francisco (size, style, etc. less one down comforter). The staff was always courteous and helpful. Free WiFi! could use their "e-room" to use computer or print boarding passes. Free complementary toiletries if you forgot something. Air conditioner was amazing. Showers and water pressure were awesome. Room was very quiet. This will be our go-to hotel from now on in NYC.
Located in Midtown, this hotel is within a 10-minute walk of 5th Avenue and St. Patrick's Cathedral. United Nations Headquarters and Rockefeller Center are also within 15 minutes. Lexington Av.-53 St. Station is only a 4-minute walk and 51 St. Station is 8 minutes.

Pros: As a solo traveler staying in hostels mostly, I picked pod 51 and I was so happy with this place. As a hostel stayer saying your very happy is far in between. Very clean and very cute. Twin beds are bigger than the twins you usually see. We both had our own tv and outlet and sink! Right in midtown close to train and Ess-a-bagel! Would recommend this place to anyone.

Cons: I thought i had a room with a view and when unchecked in, they told me I didn’t...but then they quickly upgraded me to a great room, with a view, a loveseat, a walk in closet etc. unfortunately, i was hardly there to take advantage of anything but staff was great and location was super convenient.

Pros: Only location is good
Cons: Hotel looks like a stale, old bathroom equipment, there is no bar and restaurant in the hotel; standard rooms windows overlook the courtyard, or rather, the windows of another wing of the hotel, the constant noise of ventilation and construction equipment is under the windows. Of the six elevators only two operate in this multistory building. On the day of departure, I was late for the shuttle, since at least 15 minutes wait for the elevator to come down with luggage - only one elevator was operating! Reception explained that the hotel is in the process of reconstruction. But there was not warning about this on the site! Very disappointed!
Excellent10.0
Pros: Location. Staff very nice. Room clean. No problem with elevator wait times. Overall very pleased. Fitness room well equipped also.
Cons: Can't think of anything.
Excellent10.0
Pros: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Edison Hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful and we were surprised with a Friday night complimentary wine and music welcome. A great Times Square location with clean, modern rooms!
Okay4.5
Pros: Location wasn't too bad. Very close to Times square. Walking distance to Broadway shows and shops.
Cons: Extremely small bathroom with no ventilation. Walls are thin. Could here everything going on outside like the windows we open even though they weren't. No dresser to put clothes in. Very basic. Loud air conditioner. Laundry facilities would help a lot! Took forever to get an elevator bc they were always full. St Front desk staff not so friendly. Conceirse service not useful at all. Didn't even try to help us figure out things to do. Very disappointed.
Excellent8.2
Pros: The hotel and staff were pleasant. Our room was nice and clean. Rooms are small but we expected that. The hotel is very busy. We were there for fun and enjoyed the craziness.
Cons: New York never sleeps, but I like to. Bring ear plugs if you stay in Time Square. New Yorkers like their car horns.
Good6.0
Pros: Location Security
Cons: Paid for a double/double and we were given a room with 2 twin beds. 2nd day not given any hand towels or wash cloths.
Good7.7
Pros: The complimentary umbrella for use while staying in the hotel came in very handy! The location is pretty close to a lot of famous landmarks. The onsite restaurant has a great selection and is fairly priced for NYC, I felt.
Cons: They cut my internet connection the morning I was going to check out. So that's 4 hours I was paying for internet that I didn't get. The room felt smaller than the pictures. There's a $21 facilities fee for every day.
Good7.1
Pros: Awesome location Beautiful lobby and bar
Cons: Small bathroom Bath tub had peeling paint Room was directly across from the elevators (which were loud)
Mediocre3.4
Pros: Location to time square and grocery store
Cons: Dirty room Old mattress Noisy heating cooling system Broken elevators Zero ammenities in queen room Zero wifi
Excellent8.2
Pros: The hotel was clean and had a great location! Staff was polite and helpful.
Cons: Liked it all!
Good7.7
Pros: Hotel location is wonderful. Walking distance from so many NYC landmarks.
Okay4.2
Pros: I liked the location of the hotel. It was situated right in the heart of Times Square and very convenient to access by the MTA.
Cons: I didn't like how I was treated by the staff. I felt that they weren't very accommodating at all even though I explained numerous times that I was traveling with a guest that had a serious medical condition and that we needed to check in early. I called ahead and informed them of our request but the manager that I spoke with was very rude and dismissive. They also put us in a very unsightly room with a broken heater unit that would randomly turn on in the middle of the night. I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone.
Excellent8.0
Pros: The location is the best for the price. The room with two beds was great for be in New York. The beds are not that confortable but for is ok for the amount of hours that we sleep. The bathroom needs some love. I’m not sure but I think that the ceiling of the bathroom leaked from the bathroom above.
Cons: The bathroom needs some love comparing to others hotels in the area.

Excellent10.0
Pros: Staff was courteous and friendly, catered to the children and helped get rooms next to each other.Thank you.
Okay5.7
Pros: I thought the hotel had some very positive attributes such as the entertance to the building and the location of the hotel but these positive atrributes were over shadowed by the disappointing service I had encountered here
Cons: I was extremely unsatisfied with the service at the hotel. When I first arrived in my hotel room I found that the bathroom door knob was somewhat broken and the toilet handle was difficult to use making it hard to flush at times. My room was supposed to come with a coffee maker in it and there was not one. I was not upset with that fact but what did upset me was that when I called to have one delivered, I was told that one would be brought up right away. This however was not the case, I called the front desk again about 20 or so minutes later and they apologized and told me one would be sent up. Another 15 minutes went by and I was still kept waiting for the coffee maker. I called the front desk for a third time and they transferred me somewhere in the hotel where I was told that the person that was to bring the coffee went on lunch, considering I called way before noon this was very frustrating. After waiting a whole hour I finally received the coffee machine and to my surprise was just a simple keurig machine that anyone could of brought up to my room. Another issue that I faced here was upon checking out. I had called the front desk an hour and a half before it was time to check out to have them send security to my room because the safe was no longer working and to have them bring my car out of the parking garage, they asked for my ticket number which was to be given to me by the doorman at my arrival, sadly no such ticket was given to me when the doorman took my car.The front desk basically told me there was nothing they could do without the ticket number and sent my call to the doorman for him to assist me. I waited on the line and the phone just continued to ring with no response. I called back to the front desk after a period of time because I was still waiting for security to open the safe and to get the car issue settled and ended up being transferred from person to person and no one was helping me locate my car. It became evident that I would have to go to the front desk to get this handle because nothing was getting handled. At the desk they insisted that I had received a ticket, which was 100 percent false if I had received the ticket I wouldn't have been in the situation I was in. It wasn't until a manager came over and took over and helped my situation by having the doorman go an physically check the lot for my car, and when he returned I was again forced to wait at least another half an hour to get my car which I didn't quite understand why it wasn't taken out of the lot while the doorman was already over there. I really am not one to complain but when I'm paying over 500 dollars to stay at a hotel I'd expect my service to be much better than the way I was treated.
Excellent8.8
Pros: Comfortable beds, clean room, beautiful lobby, friendly and helpful staff. Location was great for seeing a show. Plenty of places to eat in the area.
Cons: There was a fee for the food delivery that was unknown to us. Probably should use the phrase "no-fees on the card.
Excellent8.0
Pros: The staff are very friendly, helpful and efficient, especially Justyna from Reception/Reservation. Location is awesome. The hotel has a great security policy. We felt secured.
Cons: The hotel physical looks need to be updated and maintained. This may upgrade the hotel in general and compete with other hotels in the area.

Pros: Comfy bed.
Cons: Comforter (if you can even call it that) was more like a bed sheet. Upon showering, the whole room becomes like a sauna; probably due to the fact the bed is pretty much in the same room as the shower.
Excellent8.5
Pros: Very clean hotel with friendly staff. Comfy bed . Great views. Amenties thru-out hotel were great.
Cons: The bathrooms in room are very Awkward. The lack of privacy and doors make it weird when there is more than one in the room. The see thru curtain doesnt cut it No volume on the TV .. i could have called down for service but wr werent staying long

Cons: More affordable food offered at hotel

Excellent10.0
Pros: Great location.
Excellent9.1
Pros: I liked the view. Also the greeters at the first level were very curtious!
Cons: No fridge. Also the 4th level desk person wasn't very nice! She seemed more like we were a burden on her than a guest.
Excellent9.4
Pros: Loved that it was so conveniently located to downtown and near trains. Staff is always available to help you with anything you need. They were friendly and went out of their way to help me when I had an issue with a lost bag at the airport. Really cute bedrooms, loved the extendable bed. Loved the beautiful view of downtown!
Cons: If you travel with a partner you should be very comfortable going to bathroom with them because the bathroom we had was essentially all glass with a thin curtain and sliding glass door separating us. Not really private, but again, if you're very close with your partner, no big deal.
Mediocre3.6
Pros: Wifi speed was decent at 10Mbps.
Cons: There were literally no employees in the lobby so it took me a while to figure out there were kiosks for a self-serve check-in. Employees or better signage would have fixed that. Once in the room (tiny @ about 80 sq ft), the brochure mentioned that linens are changed every three days rather than with every check in which explains the pubic hair and the stains in the bed. It took housekeeping over an hour to come and change the bed. The bed was practically a fold out couch with a futon cushion that was not very comfortable. The toilet was covered in urine, the office chair in the room was missing wheels, the ice machine was broken, the carpet was filthy, and there appeared to be a transvestite rave going on at 4:30 in the afternoon.
Good7.4
Pros: Really liked the reclining bed, very comfortable and made extra space in small room when not in use. Lots of plugs for electronics. Included most amenities. Great view.
Cons: In room safe didn't work. TV didn't work. Self check in wasn't able to generate a key card. Lighting in hallways and room is harsh and unpleasant.
Okay5.4
Cons: Small rooms as though it was built for an aeroplane. Compact but with the essentials. FYI No fridge.
Excellent8.2
Pros: price and location. Men that checked us in and got cabs for us
Cons: food service. Food great service horrible. Ate at hotel twice and service horrible both times.
Excellent9.4
Pros: Great place. Clean rooms that use space in the best ways possible. The shower had great water pressure and the beds were so comfortable! We even got our room upgraded. It really felt very futuristic to stay was a place we got to show off.
Cons: Checking in was a bit difficult as the computer didn't recognize our reservation at first, but a staff member quickly helped us out. Checking out was a breeze though the staff member helping us check out bags into Yobot despite us not needing help imposed a forced tip.

Mediocre2.5
Pros: The staff was friendly.
Cons: The elevators were very very slow. They would stop at every floor and sometimes you waited 15 minutes to get on an elevator. There wasn't enough seating in the lobby and it was quite small. The room was always cold despite turning the heat up. Make sure you wear socks all the time in the room to keep you feet warm.
Excellent8.8
Pros: The staff were very accommodating and friendly!
Cons: Explain the roof access. Both elevators did not go to the roof deck.
Mediocre2.0
Pros: Room itself was clean and fine for what I reserved
Cons: On checking, I was initially charged $350 for my $200 room. It took a bit of effort to convince the one person behind the desk that he was overcharging me, including producing a printout of the reservation. Check-in was a 40 minute wait - at midnight. "City view" delivered - there was a fake facade 20' from my window on the second floor that I was looking at the inside of, with another tall building across the street from that. Just outside the window was a 15' gravel roof covered with trash. Coming and going involved going through a gauntlet of folks smoking pot and tobacco at the front door. None of these items are earth shattering, but it does make me think that Hilton is off their game. Back to Marriot if I have to stay in a chain.
Excellent10.0
Pros: Rooms are more spacious compared to many other Midtown Manhattan hotel rooms. This is the best value for every dollar you spend!
Okay5.4
Pros: Location proximity to port authority and subway
Cons: The room was so small I could barely put my suitcase on floor without it hitting the bed. The bathroom was half painted. The lobby was so crowded that I had to wait for 3 elevators to fit (multiple times during my stay).
Excellent10.0
Pros: They gave us free cookies on Valentine’s Day. The bed was super comfortable. The bathroom was clean and the shower was hot. There are so many great restaurants around. I was able to hook my laptop up to their tv using an hdmi chord so i could watch whatever I wanted. Great location and great price. I would definitely stay again.
Cons: The room was cold and the heat kept turning off. Eventually the room warmed up. But if they are expecting guests they should have the heat on. I also wish that the room had a mini fridge. Besides those things I had a fabulous stay.
Located in Midtown, this hotel is steps away from The Majestic Theater, St. James Theatre and Shubert Theatre. Times Square and Broadway are also within 5 minutes. 49th St. Station is 6 minutes by foot and Times Sq. - 42 St. Station is 7 minutes.

Pros: We have stayed at this hotel for many years, first as chaperones for a high school choral group that came every year when it was still the Milford Plaza, and now as retired adults who come to visit our son who lives in the city. We love the location, and the recent remodels add a very cool feeling to the hotel. Also, we are usually able to get good prices when we stay here.
Cons: The last few times we have come to the hotel, we have noticed just a couple of comfort issues. This last time, our room was very small. I know all the rooms are smaller, but this one was very tight. Also, we ended up with a double bed! I didn't even know they used those in hotels any more! Another comfort issue (and we have noticed this in the past two visits we have made) is that the roll of toilet paper dispenser is located in such a way that it makes it difficult to sit down on the toilet! It hits you in the side of the leg. Other than those issues, we have always enjoyed our stays.
Okay4.5
Pros: The room was way to small. I never been in a place like this. I call the front desk to see if they change the room and they do nothing
Excellent10.0
Pros: great location, clean room lots of restaurants around.
Okay5.7
Pros: Swanky lobby doesn't translate to the rooms, which are cramped and awkwardly layed out. This is bottom end, despite the trendy sounding name. How anyone would rate this a 4 star property is beyond me. For first night of two night stay my room was oversold. They sent me to the Hyatt Times Square; much nicer.
Excellent9.1
Pros: Decor, good beds, convenience, staff. Ice machine, good TV, Wifi! Elevators are fast.
Cons: Lobby a little crowded at times - but that's due to the popularity of the place. Facilities fee seems like a trick for making the rate seem lower.
Good6.2
Pros: The furniture and the look of the room was nice; very modern. Also seemed very clean. Priced reasonably.
Cons: Check in took quite a while and when we got to the counter the employee said she was upgrading us but I don't believe that was the case because the room was very small. One very simple thing was that there was no full length mirror which does not help when I'm getting ready for my boyfriend's birthday dinner.
Good6.2
Pros: I picked Row because it is across the street from my sisters' apartment.
Cons: The room was very small. There was no fridge we can use. I stayed for a week and i noticed the sheet was not changed for the entire week unlike any other hotel i have visited. The shower was not ideal to wash my hair or rinse off soap from my body because the water was running very slowly. The maid didnt clean my bathtoom as well.
Excellent8.8
Pros: location walking distance to many places
Cons: My room type was not available but thanks to Patrick We were able to change rooms 2 days after. they should have the rooms available even if your flight is late and don't give the excuse that they are sold out
Okay5.1
Cons: Worst bed I've slept in for a long time. Very uncomfortable.
Pros: -Staff was very helpful -Location was tremendous, 1 block from Times Square -Excellent elevators. Customized for each individual. Enter your room # and it tells you which elevator to use. Time in elevators or waiting for elevators reduced dramatically.
Cons: -rooms a bit small -bathroom very tight
Good7.7
Pros: The Location thats about it For Manhattan the price was not bad
Cons: Room is small Walls are thin - loud hallways No movies on demand NO MINIBAR No full length mirror No Room Service
Excellent10.0
Pros: The elevators speed very fast. Very comfortable beds. Very quite for most part except for outdoor noise which is unavoidable but not bad at all. Clean rooms. Great staff. The security is well above the norm, made us feel very safe. Locating is very convenient to all parts of the city. Loved the location. Rooms are small but we didn't come to sit in the room. There were two of us and we were comfortable wouldn't have wanted anymore than two in the room that we stayed in. For our first visit to NYC we had a fabulous time and enjoyed the hotel very much..
Cons: Lobby gets very crowded at times. Travelers using elevators for first time doesn't even consider that someone might be getting off the elevator and they crowd the door to the point you can't get off. No reflection on the Row but just be warned you can get run over before you get off the elevator.
Excellent8.6
Cons: The staff were extremely unhelpful and unknowledgable about the facilities parking procedures. Due to miscommunication with several staff members (and kayak.com) we were unsatisfied with the entire parking experience as well as the lack of information regarding the price of parking before I made my reservation
Okay5.1
Pros: Location and hip spot
Cons: The room was horrible and so loud. You can hear the elevators all day and night.
Okay4.2
Pros: Elevators are fast, location is good.
Cons: Bed was an uncomfortable double. Room has no cups or water - have to go to front desk for paper cup to take to room. Room was unbearably hot - had to open window and construction noise keeps you up all night.
Excellent8.0
Pros: Great hotel in the middle of everything, next to subway line. Inside hotel is the City Kitchen where you have a "food court" with many renamed local restaurants. Included breakfast was so so, not the best but good. Very clean room, they cleaned our room every day. Eight elevators, but always very busy.
Cons: Extremely small room, very noisy on 7th floor (at night all trucks and constructions work and you hear everything in the room). Thanks God we got the "Deluxe City view" because it was supposed to be a bit bigger. The view is not as good as other in the area but its ok for the price. One night we found a small worm in the ice from the ice machine. They should have better beds. But over all its the best option for the $$.
Okay5.0
Cons: The service - was redirected a million times to try and make a phone call. Hung up a bunch of times and no one seemed to want to help.
Excellent8.0
Pros: The rooms are comfortable, clean and nice looking. The hotel staff are friendly (and there seemed to be a lot of them). I was there for business and the location was right, but for tourists this is a good spot right in mid-town.
Cons: There is a trend in NYC hotels: take an older apartment building, add blue lights and video monitors showing abstract images, along with bottom-lit check-in desks and then paint the rooms an aggressive color (dark grey is good) along with huge blow up prints of images of New York. Underneath the paint and lights is an old hotel or apartment building. That's Row, with a bar and loud music in the lobby, and the ability to mark up the room price. (See positive too...because at the end of the day its a comfortable place beneath the veneer)
Okay4.0
Pros: city kitchen
Cons: tiny room. provide nothing that is needed including gowns, slippers, water.. not like a 4 star hotel.
Good6.5
Pros: Location was great. Just a few steps away from everything. The discounted parking for self parking option was goo deal compared to other nearby options . Lot of eating options nearby
Cons: Tiny Rooms and small beds.. The rooms and walk way looks dull (may be because of their low lighting theme) .
Excellent9.1
Pros: This gem of a hotel is reasonably priced and is in a fantastic location. I have been singing their praises ever since returning home from my trip.
Good7.1
Pros: Quick in and out, elevators are fast and usuall no wait time. City view rooms with single queen bed is great. You have good programming package on TV. Internet is very useful since my AT&T mobile hotspot connection was spotty. Needless to say, Timesquare, Subway train station , theaters and plenty of restaurants nearby.
Cons: First stay, I got a double bed , twin size. Hardly any place to turn. The second stay, I got double full bed, quite an upgrade to my previous stay. Third visit, I got a single queen bed with partial city view, which was great. Make sure to ask. Also this is not your typical full service hotel, no fridge, microwave, coffee maker, etc. can't complain, price is hard to bear!
Excellent8.0
Pros: Friendly staff at check-in. Door man helpful and fast getting car checked and checked out for trip home. Clean room but a small. Ok for an overnight stay. Close to Times Square, theatres, and midtown sights.
Cons: Music in elevators very loud.
Excellent8.6
Cons: They had a false alarm around 10pm. The person that spoke only spoke in Portuguese first 2 times. Since it was a possible fire it was very confusing and we were on the 24th Foor ! Luckily we were next to a Germqn couple that understood a little Portuguese and it seems the instructions were wait for more instructions. The 3rd time he spoke Portuguese and then finally English ! If that had been fire it would have been very serious ! Didn't sleep well that last night but otherwise it was a nice stay.
Located in Midtown, this hotel is steps away from Winter Garden Theatre and Broadway Theatre. Gershwin Theater and Times Square are also within 5 minutes. 7 Av. Station (E 53rd St.) is only a 2-minute walk and 50 St. Station (Broadway) is 3 minutes.

Pros: Liked that the hotel was close to everything especially "Times Square". Staff was very helpful and friendly.
Cons: Not all the elevators were working so the wait for the elevators was long. Work was being done in the elevator area so the tool noise was very loud.
Good7.1
Pros: The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The location was excellent for our needs.
Cons: The hotel is tired and worn. It needs an injection of cash to update and refresh the rooms and fixtures. It wasn't the worst place to stay because it was clean and the location was great. The front desk was understaffed at both check-in and check-out. This created long lines and long waits. We had to wait an hour for our room to be ready because they were behind on their turn-overs and we arrived at 8PM. They need to hire more staff for peak times.
Mediocre3.3
Pros: The location
Cons: This hotel is very dirty and very dated. Mold is in the shower and tub surround. Carpet and walls are filthy. Check bed for bed bugs but didn't find any - THANK GOODNESS. The windows haven't been cleaned in years!!!!!!! Takes forever to get an elevator to the Lobby and you will stop on every floor with people piling on the elevator because they are sick of waiting for one! It took us 26 minutes to get down to the lobby one eveving. Oscar Jacques and Allison are very nice but other than that it's disgusting. It has no place to get food after breakfast. No room service. Vending machines are sold out and gives you back change for your dollars but only takes dollars the change slots are glued shut so you can't get anything!!! It was the ABSOLUTE WORST!!!!!!!!! Electrical outlets do not work along with some of the lights!!!!
Good6.0
Pros: Location
Cons: The rooms are tired, evidence of water damage, electric drapes that didn’t work, carpet that has large bumps, air conditioners that keep shutting off, plus hidden $30 fee per day for access.
Excellent10.0
Pros: Staff upgraded my room to time square view. Extended our check out time. Just pure awesome. This hotel is so beautiful inside & out.
Cons: NOTHING AT ALL.
Mediocre2.8
Pros: Location is the only good thing about this hotel
Cons: Needs to be rehabbed. Rooms are rundown, moldy showers, poor customer service
Good6.8
Pros: The location is superb and the staff is friendly. We had a decent view over Broadway. The price is b based on location.
Cons: Hotel is in desperate need of a Makeover. Missing grout in the bathroom, yellowing bathtub with soft spots, faucets missing screws and a thermostat that only knows "very warm", despite seeing it to 65 degrees (18C), no fan in the bathroom, are just a few of the issues. The parking garage under the Hotel is operated by a different company and is a disaster, both pulling in and especially when leaving. It took over an hour to get our car back, once ordered. Wr were told by others that this was common there.
Good6.3
Pros: Location
Cons: Hotel was run down. Staff was not helpful.
Excellent8.5
Pros: Location was fantastic, we were able to walk to Colbert, Beetlejuice, Times Square, Rockefeller Plaza, and close to several train lines to get us to our other attractions.
Cons: Would have been nice to have a fridge in the room
Excellent9.1
Pros: Being close to Broadway, Central Park and Rockefeller Center. The staff was very helpful.
Excellent10.0
Pros: Great Location and wonderful people made this place worth being in NYC!!!
Cons: Nothing...
Okay5.6
Pros: The staff was great. Friendly, helpful, professional. All you could ask for.
Cons: The rooms were old and outdated. Dust was caked on the vents, and there was no air conditioning so the rooms got very warm even on cold winter nights. Also pretty noisy with thin walls.
Good6.2
Pros: Location- that’s it.
Cons: We booked our stay online (as I’m sure most do). This was our first stay at The Manhattan but not our first visit to NYC. The website pictures advertised updated, modern facilities, which was true of the lobby. However, once you get off the elevator, you realize the rest of the hotel (minus one floor apparently) has not ever been renovated. Upon walking into our room, we notice that the wallpaper and paint are peeling, the furniture is chipped, the bathroom is covered in pale pink tile and includes a fluorescent light box is not even bright enough to put your makeup on. After placing a call to the front desk, we realize this is typical of a “standard” room. The modern and updated pictures on the website actually reflect the “executive” room. We upgraded as soon as a room was available, and the facilities were much more consistent with what we expected. However, we had to then deal with the thermostat being defective, so our stay didn’t brighten up that much. We will not be staying here again.
Excellent8.0
Pros: Location
Cons: Room facility
Excellent9.1
Pros: Super friendly helpful outgoing staff
Cons: Tub drained a bit slowly whichwas skeevy, and no climate control so we were hot at times but overall definitely good value.
Excellent8.0
Pros: Location and friendliness of staff were great, room was clean.
Cons: The hotel is older so it could use a little TLC to be expected.
Okay5.6
Pros: Location
Cons: 1. No communication by hotel staff. They tried to place us in a room that is half the size of a regular room without even telling us when we checked in. We found about this when we actually entered the room. After that we had to reconcile this very uncomfortable and unexpected experience. 2. Hotel management spent 10 minutes explaining how they cannot keep the fully paid room and that upon check in they will place and assign the room of their availability. Why bother and pay in advance if there is no guarantee? 3. We didn't feel hospitality was there at all. It truly came across as just another place interested in making money rather than building long lasting experience 4. Hotel is definitely run down and it stinks super bad. 5. We would not recommend this hotel and definitely would not have given it 3 stars. Stay some place else!
Excellent8.0
Cons: Noise from nearby club was very present in the room every night until 2AM
Good6.0
Pros: Most staff was nice. Excellent location. Walking distance to Times Square, subway, theaters Hell's Kitchen, 5th ave shopping and many more. Elevators wasn't an issue for us. We asked about a refrigerator and they sent us one to the the room free of charge.
Cons: Definitely needs updating specially their bathroom and noisy doors. Wish it was cleaner. The housekeeping people really needs to be trained to be quiet and not to shout across the hallway and slam doors in the morning. They also forget to refill lotion/coffee. Sink and bathtub was clogging water always.
Good6.6
Pros: Very good, central location on 7th Avenue. Just a few blocks from Times Square, Central Park, immediately adjacent to Broadway...can easily walk (or use subway) to anywhere in Midtown. Hotel staff was courteous and helpful. Had a decent breakfast bar in the lobby with very kind, courteous employees staffing it. Was an enjoyable visit every morning, though it's primarily only got muffins, fruit, and coffee.
Cons: Room was very minimalist and small. Bed was not particularly comfortable. TV only has a few channels and reception was fuzzy on about half of them. Wi-fi is not free - costs roughly $15 per day, less if you buy several days' worth of usage up front. Noise from the street below was pretty noticeable; it would have been very difficult to tune it out completely had I not been using ear plugs. Basically, it's cheaper than the other (nicer, I would assume) hotels in the area, but the location could make it worthwhile if you don't plan to spend a lot of time in your room...and it's NYC, so why would you? Spend a lot of time out in Manhattan, making use of the great location, and you won't mind the facilities as much.
Good6.5

Pros: Place, location, access, and security
Mediocre2.0
Pros: The location is great.
Cons: The hotel staff is less than friendly. The hotel rooms need a remodel. The hallways smell like someone is smoking weed. The ice machines don't work. The AC doesn't work most of the time.
Excellent10.0
Pros: Perfect location. Great value for money.
Okay4.8
Pros: The main floor lobby was done very nicely. The proximity to trains & Times Square was a plus.
Cons: Our room smelled extremely bad & even the man who brought up our bags noticed it & said something to us about how strong it was. It smelled strongly of weed. That smell lasted from when we entered our room until check out, our entire stay. We even kept the windows open. The only reason I didn’t complain about it was because we had adjoining rooms with the rest of our family & we wanted to be together. Also, the room is in need of updating especially the bathroom. The water in bathroom didn’t drain properly either. As well as the hallways on the other floors. It seems as if the only update was done in the main floor lobby because once you take the elevator up and the doors open it’s like you’re in a motel. The rest of the hotel is dingy & dirty. The beds were extremely uncomfortable and I could not get comfortable with springs stabbing my back all night.
Good6.2
Pros: Location
Cons: Poor a/c - room was very warm. Bathroom was small and bed wasn't that comfortable
Good6.0
They say, Location, location, location... well this hotel has that, steps from Broadway and Times square. It is an aging property, that while reasonably clean and comfortable, is in need of some basic maintenance (Cracking/peeling ceiling in bathroom, unrepaired holes, dripping/flowing faucet). Every request (to English speaking staff) was handled wrong... (Asked for a late clean, and got a refrigerator and microwave instead... :) ) No amenities on site.
