Excellent location friendly staff
Great location from this clean and well maintained hotel. Has a high end feel but at reasonable prices. Sometimes it can be too popular but the hotel copes well and the staff have always been cheerful and courteous.
Room were lovely Staff efficient and friendly Lovely hotel Rooms were far too hot at night Breakfast area - Shown to a table that was not laid up but dirty then had to stand and wait until waitress cleared cleaned and re-laid. Bits of food below by our feet. Breakfast buffet lovely except cooked breakfast, dissappointing in lack of choice of egg and most food only warm, scrambled eggs cold.
The studio room was superb and also the view from the room. The location is perfect. The staff at check in. There was litter in the room.

The room was excellent and very comfortable. However I found the pillows were too soft - apart from that I like everything else about the room. Breakfast was not included in the room price and I thought the breakfast was overpriced. We eat breakfast close by on the Southbank rather than at the hotel and found it to be much cheaper. Also the quality of where we ate our breakfast was very good.
The staff were extra friendly. The spa is closed on weekends.

The room was lovely - everything you needed and amazing toiletries. The location of the hotel was ideal, a short walk from Southwark or you could walk straight out onto the Southbank. The staff were all delightful and extremely helpful. I'd definitely stay here again.
Hotel room was warm and comfortable, as the weekend weather was poor it was nice to get back to an inviting room. Delay in breakfast - although once we got fed it was great.
The hotel has an excellent location and a very nice atmosphere. I also enjoyed the restaurant recommendations made by the concierge. The room was a bit noísy (I lived on the second floor).

The size of the Junior suite was wonderful! The room was a little old and had some cracks in the wall joints. They didn't have any pull in area if you arrive by car. We weren't aware of this from the descriptions and had to drive around the area to find a parking garage and then roll our luggage a few blocks to the hotel.
I have stayed at Hotel Russell now a number of times, both as a single traveler in a single room, a twin room with my mother, and a double room with my husband. All rooms were comfortable and spacious enough for our needs and comfort. Breakfasts are very good quality too! Staff polite and helpful and location brilliant. I couldn't stay longer!!

simply the way in which the staff treated us with so much respect, after we had a couple of problems with our room to start with, they showed alot of kindness, booked us into a different hotel for the first night, free of charge, and then upgraded us to a lovely room for our second night stay in london, we felt very well looked after.
I thought the hotel was beautiful. The design of the building was very impressive. I found the staff very helpful and informative. I had a very relaxed weekend away at Grange St Pauls and thought the location was perfect as it was just round the corner from the tube with only 2 stops to Oxford Circus. I think there should be swimming costumes available to buy at the spa.

The location of hotel was excellent, just a short walk from St Paul's Station. The facillities at the hotel paricularly the swimming pool/spa were fantastic, we just wished we could have stayed longer.
The previous really positive guest reviews made me try this hotel and I wasn't disappointed. The location close to St Paul's is perfect, and the value for money you get at this hotel is OK for London standards. Big plus: Though the hotel is in the upper price category, they offer free WiFi. I expect this from hotels of any category nowadays, but it´s not standard (yet). The spa area closes already at 9pm, and you have to leave the building to enter the spa *brrr*. I know significantly cheaper venues that will switch on the sauna on guests' request 24/7. After an exhausting day at work that might last until 7-8pm, 9pm is just too early to close the spa.
We had a really comfortable room with a sofa and a view over the atrium The lifts were a real problem. There are only two and at peak times we had to wait a long time. No alternative stairs were signposted which might relieve the delays.

It's location, the size of the room and its design. Good staff too, concierge staff was very nice and useful. However, the bar staff was terrible, took forever to get any service and they did not take orders properly. Only negative of the hotel really.
My room was probably the quietest I have ever had in a city hotel. The position of the hotel is good for access to the river, the St Pauls/Tower Bridge tourist interests and comfortable walking distance from the city. Although not my favourite architectural style, the steel, glass and marble style of this hotel is well implemented. My room was well equipped with electronic gadgetry from contactless door card to Ipod dock and flat screen TV with good range of channels. The brilliantly illuminated advertising display that extended the full height of the 6 floor attrium seemed an odd feature and required two layers of curtain the shield the light from my inner facing room window.
Location and Spa A little tired in places
The new look, contemporary design and rooms are furnished immaculately and easily one of the best rooms I have stayed at in London. I recommend contacting Guest Relations (Simonetta in particular - who is simply one of the most professional and courteous people I have ever met)prior to arrival so they can ensure an enjoyable stay. They ensure all your needs are met prior to check in.
Stunning views, huge luxury bathroom with freestanding bath overlooking the city. Very comfortable bed, every comfort provided, even a warm towel when you finished swimming! Bar was quite expensive, but was to be expected
The service was outstanding from the moment we stepped out of our vehicle until the following afternoon when we left. We could not have asked for anything more. There wasn't anything not to like.

view, cleanliness & friendliness of staff absolute nightmare to get to because of road works surrounding the immediate vicinity, however, this isn't so much a negative about the hotel itself. was disappointed we had the choice of either paying an extra £30 to park in the public car park opposite for 2 days or an extra £50 to have it valet parked. we weren't expecting such a high charge.

Went as a London marathon runner. Made people feel welcome. Nice touch to give out free bananas & water. Clean hotel. Good gym facilities. Slow check in process. Expensive dinner & breakfast. I booked hotel when vat was 15%&my stay was when it was 17.5-hotel charged difference. Thought the hotel as a gesture could have met small cost itself.
Staff very polite and put customers first at all times. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Rooms very comfortable. We pre ordered Breakfast in the room for 9am. Breakfast arrived at 9am on the dot!!!. No Bad Point to report.

It would be a good 4 star hotel. good heating and hot showers. food was barely edible, always stale. reception service is appalling. In desperate need of refurbishment, old TVs, design. It was just a bed and a bathroom, not a 5 star hotel.
The welcome and service of all the staff. Everyone especially the Hungarian gentleman bent over backwards to make an extra effort every single time I approached them. More likely they approached me quicker, to help with my pushchair and baby. They were polite and fantastic. Your real asset!! The towels had an awful smell (I have a sensitive nose). My room was no 847. When I enetered the room I could smell the pigeons in fact I looked at the window sill and sure enough there was pigeon poo - and the windows hadn't been cleaned in some time? There was no child quilt / blanket provided with the cot (and, although the cot was provided, I had to ask for this to be made). The staff could be taught level one english.
The room was fantastic with view over the Thames, Bed very good and quite and the Hotel is tucked out of the way but in easy access to all of London We did not get a warm welcome at reception, They tried to put us in 2 single beds when I had booked river view doudle. They would not take my word so I had to go back to the car to get our booking. It is also hard to get a cab from this hotel.

Reception staff were really good, consierge was equally as good. Nice welcome, and fire in lobby. A lady in the restaurant for breakfast was very good, I think her name was Pam. Breakfast was really not great, firstly the lady who seated us, asked if we wanted coffee and toast, then none arrived had to ask again for it, same with ordering some porridge it came 15 minutes later, but was like gruel, quite surprised that a 5 star hotel kitchen can't make porridge. Overall a little bit too structured and formal, but lacked professionalism in the restaurant.
Everyone is polite and not overbearing. The room although we felt is was quite small it was peaceful and very clean. The only point was a dirty wet cloth left on the wardrobe shelve which was a little unpleasant,
What I liked about this hotel was the close vicinity to Kensington gardens and the underground station we stayed at this hotel two times this trip, The first saty we checked in early, the only room available was at the mezzanine. though it was a non smoke room, the room smelled badly and the outlets for the laptop were hidden behind the refrigerator. The second time we upgraded to a better more expensive room , which was nicer but also showed some bad points, the exterior windows seals were partly gone, and the airconditioning which looked ancient was noisy. Overall my impression was that this was once a great hotel for its day but today is in dire need of maintenance and repairs. Also the exterior looks very dirty. The prices are very high compared to the room you get. Overall I don't think I would make use of this hotel again.

Staff were very helpful. Nice clean looking lobby. Good fire escape facilities. At check-in were trying to charge us for an extra baby cod (child < 2yrs) while in the initial advertisement baby cods were free of charge. After a short but crisp discussion showing them booking info on paper printed from the site, staff finally admitted the cod was indeed free of charge. Phone charges for local calls are ridiculously expensive, real robbery. Looking at the quality of the rooms, the general service facilities and costs, and comparing with other hotels, a 4-star classification is overrated.
public areas look really well, staff very good and very convenient location I perbooked internet access but it did not work satisfactorily. When I reported it a new connection was brought up fairly quickly but I had been very inconvenienced overnight and in checking in online in time and on checkout the front desk staff did not appear able to handle a request that some deduction to the 24 hour rate be made.

Attention and concern of staff is excellent,especially Anna breakfast hostess in Amba room. Serving staff uneven although Nadia v nice and accommodating too. Hotel overwhelmed by the world travel convention, on all fronts that kind of capacity is hard for the whole 'factory' that is the hotel to function. Eelevators slow, rooms seem tired, and what seemed appropriate three years ago now seems tired and yes, a little rundown.

Well we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at the Mayfair and the staff could do more for us. We come back to our room to find a complimentary bottle of bubbly and chocolates, such a great supprize for both myself and the wife. Would we stay again definitely 100%.

Wonderful stay, lovely unique rooms, great location was very close to everything but in a slightly quieter residential location, very clean, friendly and helpful staff, couldn't have been happier Room didn't have a shower, only bathtub, but that was fine for me. If I was travelling with my tall husband we would need to make sure we got a room with a shower. Floor level doors could have been marked. It is very hard trying to find something negative about it!
within walking distance to Victoria station, quiet road. Acceptable for one night. rooms are very small, difficult to adjust room temperature. Small breakfast buffet, choosing english breakfast is the better choice, although I have to admit that I had better ones.

Low cost Internet system was out, satalite television was not functioning, and thin walls so very noisy.
The proximity to Victoria coach station and bus links. The breakfast was good and the staff friendly. The toilet and washing facilities were cramped. The washing basin was chipped and spotty. Worst of all was the sound proof. We could hear people talking next door and tv noises. Our next door neighbours had the tv on until 3.30 in the morning and switched on again at 6.30 a.m.

The location was excellent - very close to Victoria Station - easy walking distance even with baggage! Climbing the stairs with baggage was difficult.

The location to the Albert Hall. We were not pre-warned that the hotel was undergoing refurbishment and therefore noise levels were very high.

The suite was great - and the staff were excellent
The hotel is located in an ideal part of London with the opportunity to walk to nearby shops and restaurants. The staff is very helpful and attentive without being burdensome. The rooms as spacious and well supplied.
Location was good,reception service good,suite very good,comfortable,quiet and very clean. Tv system laborious to change channels on TV-but maybe due to my lack of tech knowledge!
The location of the hotel is great. It has a lovely relaxing and welcoming feeling to the hotel. The staff are very well trained and always pleasent and helpful. The bar of the hotel has a lovely atmosphere and is very popular which I have found in other hotels we have stopped in, not to be the case.
You sent us an email to check into the hotel with time of check in room floor etc We filled this in sent it back and you sent back confirmation of our check in on the morning of the booking When we arrived at the hotel we were told by the duty manager they did not have a room for us Reason was the person did not move out of the room This of course is utter rubbish I believe the true reason is we booked the room through you at a discounted rate they were then able to sell the room at full rate so we were left without a room Of course this teachers us and others a lesson never to deal with you again and never stay at the Chelsea Harbour We could of course been informed earlier in the day but nobody even cares when you are paying cheap rates You get what you pay for in this world In this case nothing
The staff was very friendly, well trained and motivated. The breakfast is one of the best I have seen in all my life, - staying mainly at hotels of this category! Order the fruit plate at the buffet... During my six-day trip unfortunately I stayed only three days at the Wyndham and three days at another five star of another American chain (paying about GBP 380.-- plus taxes/night). It would have been better to go directly to the Wyndham.

Very nice rooms, excellent service, not expensive
The room was very clean and spacious. The doormen were friendly and helpful. I had flowers delivered to me at the hotel and these were turned away at reception with the reason being that I wasn't staying at the hotel which was incorrect. I left my key and a note at reception for my son to collect and leave his luggage in my room, reception said that I had not done this and did not have a key for him. During my 12 nights there a card was sent to me which I never received.

What's not to like! Everything was outstanding! The hotel staff couldn't be more friendly, anything you needed they got it for you! Just wish it wasn't so pricey otherwise we would go more often!
despite being over motor court, room was very quiet, everything was well designed, staff was extremely helpful, bathroom was tremendous, restaurant was great. Very little (if anything) to actually complain about. Top-notch. gym facilities were modest as was pool, but not a terribly big deal as most hotel gyms have a limited offer.

The Savoy stay was one of the most exceptional stays that I have had -- extraordinary from the moment the taxi door opened. I needed a rest and wanted to visit London, and the Savoy was worth every penny. Location is perfect. Food and service were outstanding -- didn't feel the need to leave for an outside restaurant. Breakfast, high tea and dinners were delicious. High Tea was conceivably the best I have every experienced. Room was like a cocoon, and their baths are legendary. Will be back soon for another break. I was disappointed that the spa and pool were closed for renovation.
Spectacular in every way Not being able to stay longer
The room was very clean, well equipped and comfortable. The front of house staff seemed disorganised, we checked in at 10am and left bags, got a call at 12.30pm asking when we would be arriving and had to explain had checked in and paid!!! Were advised that bags would then be in room when we returned, however, when we did get back only one of two bags was there. After calling reception eventually went down to find bag was still in the lobby not even locked away. Bar was not open due to staff being late and would have expected this to have been open all day for a 5 star hotel. Alll in all the front of house staff, with the exception of the doorman who was excellent, were definately not up to the standard of a 5 star property
Althoug the room size was a bit small, it has modern accommodation, functional, clean and the hotel is very well located, close to the Marble Arch. The bathroom is high standard with TV set, large bath tube and other minor things. The room location in the basement for long stay is a bit depressing. I was not expecting this when booked a "superior double room." Moreover, as a Brazilian visitor, I suggest that the available Brazilian TV channel should be changed for a better standard because the one available was a network of an evangelical church of low ratings and deplorable programming. It could be replaced for a GloboNews, BandNews or, at worst, a Globo TV broadcast.
Excellent, friendly ervice Nothing major
I was due to meet my mother at the hotel, she arrived 30 minutes before me and was made to pay the full amount for the stay, even though she repeatedly informed them I was paying and they had my card details. After locating my room i was in a state of shock as to its cramped size and airless atmosphere (5* with 5* prices!). i then went back down to reception to find out the location of the pool and gym also to request a hotel information booklet and directory and a room service menu, (This never materialised durinng our stay. I was informed that the pool/spa/gym was not open yet as the hotel was still being built. Also the main restaurant was not open yet but we could eat in the bar if we wanted.

From the moment you walk through the door you are treated like royalty - my only disappointment was that I was only staying the one night - suites superb, staff warm, friendly and very helpful - unlike the obnoxious staff that I have encountered at other 5 star hotels Nothing - everything fantastic

Partial view of the river room was given when we expected a blocked view one due to the special rate booked which made us quite happy. Some items were missing like pan and cutting knive when we arrived but was quickly replaced when we asked from the housekeeping. tv in the living room was not working but was quickly repaired. The hotel was very gracious with welcome basket of cereals, mineral waters, chocolate bar, and jam. Two bottles of free mineral water everyday. Beds were made every night with chocolate given. Free wi-fi internet in the room as well as in all areas in the hotel and free access for computer use in business center were very convenient. Vauxhall underground station could be reched within 5- 10 min. We were very satisfied
Staff were very helpful and friendly. When my husband left his mobile in the taxi, they arranged to have it returned in about 2 hours. On request, they also gave us a view of Westminster and changed our original room. The room cleaning and servicing was a little erratic. Sometimes different things were not replaced, such as dishwashing tablets, but as soon as housekeeping was contacted, missing items were brought to the room straight away.
This was an amazing modern hotel that I had a really good young vibe but also took really good care of my husband and I and her 16-month-old child. They be provided a travel cot with a goose down blanket and the staff was very pleasant with him especially in the restaurant/lounge. Service was excellent the only downfall was it took the kitchen longer than normal to get food out in the restaurant.
very nice hotel , the staff are all wonderful and helpful. very close to the eye of London, the nearest tube ( vauxhaull) is five minutes walk, the bus stop is at the hotel entrance.all and all this hotel is a five star with good value for your money.

I did like the complimentary promotional products. I changed the room when I checked in So that my nephews would have a seperate room. The room (450) had cigerette burns in the carpet and smelt of smoke especially the curtains- I am not a smoker.
