Cons: "Business class seats not very long if you are tall. Western meal option is not really very western. Crew is a little too efficient- got woken up 90 minutes before landing to clear the mattresses. Lots of announcements- a bit too much. On time, and quick to respond to requests. The flight had numerous crying babies on it, it was warm and stuffy once in flight, the crew brought you meals you didn't have a say in ordering and having to sit for an undetermined amount of time with the used tray in front of you really made the modest space even more so. I love JAL but this flight was not one of the better ones for me. Not through any fault of the staff, they are top notch, but certainly this flight ranks as just "okay"."

Pros: "Japan Airline is a notch above the rest. The services was constant and consistent, the food was delicious and abundant, and the seats were comfortable. I was surprised at how often they would go up and down the aisles checking on passengers, picking up trash, and serving small food items. To top it off towards the end of the trip they put toothbrushes in the bathroom so you can leave fresh, awesome."

The ground staff kept trying to convince us to just walk which seemed very unprofessional."

I again complaint but by the time Ms Jacky came the system started working again so she said "I did not know how to use touch feature. I was touching it too hard."

Pros: "I am frequent air traveler that logs about 100k miles a year and this is the first time I felt like writing a review about an airline. I traveled with my 4 year old son on this trip. Excellent service, high quality food options and flight amenities. I really enjoyed the food as did my son. My son left his backpack behind on the first leg and the airline staff retreived it and delivered it to the lounge in less than 15 minutes. I was astounded and had almost given up on seeing the bag again, given my experience with other airlines in the past. This is going to be airline of choice for future trips!"

Pros: "Provides the service you'd expect from an international carrier. Boarded on time, seat actually reclines, meals, baggage, seat assignments are included in the price. Staff treat you well and the price isn't bad."
Cons: "Virgin website is slow and not intuitive. Couldn't get seat assignment until i was at the gate. No explanation why. Boarding announcements delivered via ESP. Half of the passengers were still in the boarding area because no one heard announcements. Arrived 30 min early but had to wait on the tarmac for 45 min for a parking gate. Baggage delivery at JFK took forever."

Cons: "- Boarding kept getting delayed without any warning. - Duty free purchase was meant to be collected just before boarding the plane but mine was not there. This was not so much an issue but the man said he would have my bag sent to my seat and I was subsequently approached by a crew member who asked for my receipt. Which he was holding in his hand. I would have thought it would be quite easy to confirm the person without them having the receipt as the their name and seat number is on the receipt but he had to go back and check if it was okay. - Found it hard to sleep on the overnight flight due to uncomfortable seats. Would probably not be an issue in upper class. - No comment on entertainment as did not use it."

Pros: "The flight crew was phenomenal, especially Daniella. Somehow we wound up with seats right next to the bathroom door, which would have been a pretty uncomfortable situation for a variety of reasons, but the flight wasn't full, and she helped us find a suitable place to sit. Also, my wife and I usually take our tea with honey vs. milk and sugar. Even though honey is usually one of the options for tea, she found a way to accommodate our request. The lunch meals were the best I can remember in a long time on an airline flight. They might have been the best I've ever had. The chicken curry was authentic, flavorful and spicy. Frankly my outbound flight had problems. My luggage got damaged. The transfer experience in Manchester left a LOT to be desired. I wasn't planning to use Virgin Atlantic again, but this flight crew (Daniella especially) redeemed Virgin Atlantic. They were attentive, pleasant, diligent."
Cons: "Only thing I didn't like about this flight was the boarding area. Once you get into that the area, you don't really have access to appetizing food (only vending machines) or even restrooms. That's one thing that could be improved."

Pros: "Everything about my flights on Virgin Atlantic was amazing. The plane was new and comfortable, the seats seemed to recline more than in other airplane I have been. The entertainment was good with a wide selection of movies and TV shows. The crew was incredibly nice and helpful and I had a really pleasant time talking with them. On the airport team side I can also say they were extremely helpful as I missed my flight and they promptly rebooked me on the next one 3h later, free of charge. I think the stress of missing a flight was completely deflected by the help of the Virgin Atlantic crew at the desk so thank you for that!"
Cons: "The only thing I would improve is the main dish in the meal. I loved all the small sides like the Boursin and crackers but I found the main meal a little bland l."

Cons: "One particular female member of crew could do with a refresher course in customer care service !!!!! I asked for water and she gave me something else, when I told her very nicely that I had asked her for water she began to argue with me that I hadn’t, I thought her very rude, (what happened to the customer is always right) I have been flying with Virgin for twenty years twice a year sometimes even three !!!! and never been spoken to like this from any other member of staff!!!!"

Cons: "I paid extra for Economy Delight seats for me and my wife. Shortly after take-off, our calm and comfortable more or less empty section of the aircraft was colonised by an extended family of Orthodox Jews in a kind of airborne West Bank situation. They weren’t in our section of the cabin at all to start with, and I don’t know why they were apparently able to get a free upgrade that I had to pay £100 for. We went from being in an almost empty cabin to being basically sat in the middle of an Orthodox Jewish kindergarten. It was awful! They were noisy, messy, were constantly getting in and out of their seats, the back of my seat kept getting kicked, and there was even a baby crawling around the aisle. We were surrounded. I have no idea whether this is characteristic of Orthodox Jewish family life, or just a completely inconsiderate family. They didn’t exactly ruin my flight, but they didn’t make it enjoyable either. I asked to be moved. The cabin crew were great and acknowledged the difficulty of the situation. My wife lost her window seat but at least we still had the legroom and peace and quiet."

Cons: "The check in process and boarding process were very slow. It made going through security a bit stressful and I didn't have much time after going through the security to use the bathrooms or get a quick bite to eat before the plane boarded."

Cons: "Very strange boarding. They got us through the boarding process but then made us all wait in the bridge because the plane wasn’t ready. So now you have a plane load of people all crammed into the bridge. Very poor."

Cons: "Plane was late taking off, Crew did not provide water when requested. They were busy with beverages that they could sell at a cost."

Pros: "One particular member of the flight crew (Jennifer Foster-Moore, I think) was stupendously kind and helpful. The cabin service manager (a young gentleman) was also very helpful. The ice-cream bar mid-flight was a nice touch."
Cons: "The equipment for this flight is a 747-400. Hence, the personal entertainment system is old: no games, and the video can be shaky."

Pros: "FYI this was actually an American Airlines flight (AA 104) not BA. Anyway I love those 777-300ER’s, they are huge with great up to date ambient lighting, excellent, outstanding entertainment , and I had the whole row to myself. I often take this flight when flying home from LHR to JFK. 5 stars!"

Pros: "We had a long delay that the crew did their best to mitigate while still on the ground in Heathrow, and the Captain invited children to come up and tour the cockpit while we waited! Things like that alleviate any anger and frustration we may have had, and the flight was excellent overall."

Pros: "This was the second leg of flight from Gatwick, short stay at St Lucia, only a short flight, didn't leave the plane there so boarding and food comments don't really apply to this flight. Crew changed over here - new crew as good as first leg, excellent, never had problems with this on BA."
Cons: "Entertainment poor, limited choice and mediocre screens. Is the Boeing 777 fleet due a refurb? If so, don't spoil the seats and legroom, but do update the in-flight entertainment system!"

Cabin crew we grumpy. Ashamed this is called British not what I called British........"

Cons: "the older plane did not have personal air vents and it was hotter then I would have liked. Also being in the last row of a section allows us not recline as much while the people in front could recline more, which made for a cramp feeling during the flight."

Cons: "The wash bag is now so limited- the bare minimum (and that's in business class!). No comb even. No face wipe either. It's an obvious thing to economise on from the airline's point of view, but it doesn't really have to cost them anything. And the choice of new films was somewhat disappointing - they are relying quite a lot on older films. and no duty free at all (the crew were apparently not given the correct paperwork to allow sales). This was disappointing as I had been hoping to pick up a dual SIM gadget. None of these minus points are major, but they detracted from my enjoyment of the flight"

Pros: "We had ONE customer service rep in Heathrow who was incredibly helpful and tried to help get us home. She was wonderful."
Cons: "Their delayed flight from Milan to London caused us to miss our flight from London to NY, and thus our flight from NY to Denver, which was standby. When we explained how difficult it would be to catch another flight to Denver from NY with it being the weekend, and attempting to get a flight to another airport with higher chances of getting us home, their customer service rep informed us that as long as they 'fulfilled their contract' to get us to NY, it wasn't really their problem how we got home (or couldn't get home) after that."
