I was not able to travel because of the volcano eruptions threats in Bali. Tried to cancel and get credit for the trip no one was able to help. Insurance wouldn’t cover because apparently volcanoes are not considered natural disasters. Tried to call eastern China airlines no one would pick up the phone. Soooooo there you go I don’t think there’s anything you guys can do to make happy again.

Good entertainment, food and in-flight crew

Because this flight was delayed it was a miracle (involving running til my throat literally bled) that I made my connection. Ground crew could not have been less helpful - even to my friend who they knew was trying to get home to attend a family funeral.

I was selected for additional screening at the gate. I have no problem with this at all. From the start I told them I am traveling with my fiancee. They tried to hold me back in a separate area after the screening and I once again told them my fiancee was waiting for me. One staff memeber walked with me half way back to get her and then disappeared. By the time I found her and came back, the staff memeber was no where to be found. Now we had lost are spot in the line and had to go to the back of the line. We spoke to 3 different staff people about what was going on and everyone said, oh the guy over there will help you. But no one did. The staff had No idea how to run a security check or handle paople. There was No working wifi! There was no tvs in the seats, only the old style in the aisle. The staff told me the plan was going to retire at the end of the month. The food was more for animals then for humans! We got updates by txt 10 mins before the staff updated the gate on our flight out from SFO. I have traveled all over the world with a lot of airlines and Never had such a poor service, but what is it to expect. It was United after all!

Nothing to talk about this experience. The check-in process was mechanical. The lunge did not had enough seats to accommodate people. Boarding process was horrible and chaotic with no preference for Premium members. No one to guide at Tarmac. The food served was neither appropriate for the time nor was good in quantity, taste as well as presentation.

Gave 1 star since there was nothing less than that for crew and entertainment

The very least thing you would expect on international travel is to kill your time watching movies or something on the screen in front of you especially when you travel 13+ hours non-stop. My screen wouldn't even start and when informed the crew multiple times all got is "ok" and nobody even bothered to comeback and check( even after pressing the flight attendant button multiple times). Trip felt very exhausting since all you can do is close your eyes and pretend you sleep or stare at seat in front of you. I am sure there are many broken systems and it may be ok for people who sleep through out their flight but such a shame that air India doesn't bother to check and fix their systems. Very disappointed since this is not the first time it happened, also happened on my way to India and the response I got from flight attendant is" there are hundred of seats empty"meaning to say go find a working screen myself. When you spend so much money to travel least you would expect is basic things and minimal courtesy. Somebody needs to fix their systems and train the crew better. Very disappointed that Air India didn't even bother to correct the issues they knew that were already at fault.

Additionally, my friend travelling with me got a business class upgrade for free which the agent did not entertain when I asked. The seat assignment was with a severely obese person and they did not change when I asked, though the flight was pretty empty and people were using 3 seats to sleep and fly all the way back.

The crew fed us well throughout the flight--and we got free wine with dinner. The food was pretty good for airplane food. We got fresh dinner rolls, salad, dessert, and Swiss cheese. We got ice cream part way through the trip. I loved that we got a piece of Swiss chocolate on each leg of the journey. The crew was friendly. There was a screen at each seat where you could watch movies or TV, listen to music, or track your flight. The entertainment was free, and the crew provided free earphones. Blankets and pillows were provided.

Like most planes, there was not enough leg room. It makes it pretty uncomfortable for an 11-1/2 hour flight. The boarding was a little confusing, but no serious issues.

Flight itself was good for a shorter international flight. Dim cabin lights for early morning, crew providing plenty of drinks and snacks.

For international travel, I’m always told to get there 3 hours before. For this trip we checked in but didn’t have access to a printer so needed a boarding pass. We wanted to carry on luggage so just needed to print the pass. Swiss was the only airline that wasn’t available on the check-in kiosks. The front desk staff didn’t arrive until closer to 1.5 hours before check in so nearly theall passengers were in a huge line to get passes and check bags.

Seats way too tight. But the worst thing was the two passageners in the row we shared. They were laying on each other and it was inappropriate for the entire flight. He was rubbing her breast and I said something. He seemed to stop. Lots of rubbing and huggin and the man had his legs stretched out man spread style

Older plane had extremely uncomfortable seats for the lengthy flight (over 7 hours). Shorter flights of 3 hours or less would have been fine.

The flight got delayed for 4.5 hours. We didnt receive any call, sms or email informing us about the delay. We went to the airport for checkin only to discover that it was delayed! No justification or any reason were given to us. We are travelling with a baby. We had to get a taxi to return to our home and return back to the airport after 4.5 hours. Called qatar airways and send them a xomplaint email. No one cared to answer. The worst flight ever. Will never go with qatar airways anymore

They still used old crappy screens that you couldn't see very well with any glare from windows. The movie selection was not great, not many good newer choices, lots of old movies/shows they probably got for super cheep or free. The food wasn't great at all. I've had much better elsewhere. They cut corners there too, not impressed.

Fast-tracked us through Shanghai airport with a personal handler for a tight connection. He knew all the back routes and which border agent could put us first in line. No problem even though connection was boarding as we were disembarking arrival flight. Lounge at JFK superb.

No control over air con vents at seat. Plane uncomfortably stuffy for us...asked to turn down temp and they did for awhile.

I had a great experience from start to end of my trip. Most of the staff were pleasant and professional. Food wasn't okay and red wine on flight from Heathrow was delicious.

The red wine on the flight from Lagos was too sharp. That is the regular one served on virgin flight so was glad when I tasted the new one served on the flight from Heathrow, thinking it's been changed!

The price was right and we got what we paid for. All in all the experience was decent. We got where we wanted to go and we didn’t break the bank. The staff was very courteous and helpful, the quantity of food was good.

The seats were far from comfortable, but flights this long never are. As with all planes, the seats just aren’t designed for people that are six feet tall or more. Such is life, but these seats are also quite hard. You get what you pay for.

Great value! This was my first time on China Eastern and was apprehensive because of numerous negative reviews I have read about them. Boy, was I very pleasantly surprised. I travelled from Honolulu to Manila with a stopover in Shanghai. The pleasant experience started with the ground crew in Honolulu. Very friendly and helpful unlike experiences I have had with other airlines there. The flight crew was also very good — respectful and helpful in spite of the limited English. The flight left the gate 5 minutes before scheduled departure. I rated the food and entertainment 3-stars not as a negative, but because it was ordinary — I did not expect anything better than that because the price was very cheap. A couple of observations: (1) in spite of a nearly full flight, there was plenty of overhead space — could it have something to do with their luggage policies? and, (2) very efficient boarding — boarding by seating zones rather than frequent flyer status. I saw a lot of calm and no aggressive behavior. Just overall pleasantly surprised.

The schedule of the flight. Good legroom compared to other international airlines. Better elbow space.

1. Very bad entertainment system. Unable to use entertainment system with remote or by direct finger clicks. The delay between clicks and the action response on screen is too huge...these look like systems from last century...please upgrade !!!! 2. Crew members are not courteous. They ignore requests made by passengers. Looks like they just hate all passengers in their hearts.

No high expectations but everything was okay.

The crew member who served was moving clumsily . Hit me 5 times and spilled hot drink on me 2 times and on tray 2 times. There was no turbulent weather during those times so it was only how she was walking . Additionally the Bhubaneswar to Delhi flight was suddenly rerouted to Varanasi and then to delhi which arrived Delhi very late and everyone had to run to catch the next flight. No announcements were made until everyone had boarded the flight from BBI.

Left on time Crew friendly and helpful

Uncomfortable seats, half of the toilets not working for portion ao flight. Entertainment system not working properly on many seats

The boarding process was smooth. The crew was friendly and attentive. Even though it was a short flight, we each got a piece of Swiss chocolate.

Like most planes, there was not enough leg room.

Excellent food.

Yet again, was "randomly" chosen for extra security. Flight was delayed for over an hour because of mechanical failure. A/C set at polar temperatures.

Good space above seats

Seats way too tight. But the worst thing was the two passageners in the row we shared. They were laying on each other and it was inappropriate for the entire flight. He was rubbing her breast and I said something. He seemed to stop. Lots of rubbing and huggin and the man had his legs stretched out man spread style

Fantastic service, excellent food, state-of-the-art entertainment, always on-time and professional.

Older plane had extremely uncomfortable seats for the lengthy flight (over 7 hours). Shorter flights of 3 hours or less would have been fine.

One meal was sufficient in quantity, mediocre in quality. Other meals and snacks were skimpy in frequency and quantity.

The flight was excellent. Crew attentive and pleasant, good amenities--decent meals (special diet preferences observed on 2nd of two flights, but not first). Frequent offers of beverages and water throughout the flight from Munich to EWR, hot towels. Nice! I was not able to choose my seats until check-in, 24 hours before flight time. Of course if I wanted to pay extra (would have amounted to $60 for two flights for each passenger) I could have. Representatives at check in in Athens, were indifferent and not very pleasant.

Walk between connecting flights in Munich was very long (25 minutes) and when we got to the gate for the flight to EWR, there was a very long, and very slow-moving line with only one attendant checking boarding passes for 6 gates. We arrived at the gate and were among the last passengers to board. A last minute additional attendant that was brought on, helped to make the line move a bit faster, but this under-staffed checkpoint added unnecessary stress to our long travel day.

The entire crew was very professional and friendly, and I could tell that each one of them really liked their job. I am a seasoned traveler and have flown in the past on every major and minor airline, and I have to rate my flight LH424 from Munich to Boston as one of the best.

I cannot think of a thing that I did not like.

Boarding seamed inefficient. Loaded handicap onto separate vehicle in middle of us boarding, so it stopped our process. My seat didn't recline even though it had a button. No in flight entertainment?! At all... Got a crappy breakfast omelet that i didn't want to put in my stomach.
