My five hour layover in Phoenix turned out to be 7 1/2 hours. A plane that arrive late because of some other issues with that route. Then we boarded and had to wait for an air test. Then we discovered that the wheels flat and they say we have to Deign well while we do planing the crew changes the tire before we’ve completely gotten off the plane. So we didn’t need to get off in the first place that cost us a good half hour to 45 Minutes at the least.

I am very disappointed with american. We have flown American airlines numerous times, as well as other airlines and never had such an experience. My son's flight for Sunday afternoon was cancelled around 11 am. We were told not to do anything bec AA would. After an hour of not seeing a change in his flight status. I called AA. I was on hold for half hour then opted for a call back. That call back never came. So I called again, in meantime I started looking online at my options. No flights were leaving that day from AA. But other airlines were flying out. We needed our son in Chicago asap.i kept calling AA for a callback, but never received one. Finally i called back later in the afternoon and a representative answered the call. She told me there were no flights out till Tuesday morning. I asked how this is possible, I had seen flights from AA and other airlines leaving Monday. She said she checked all NYC airports and there were no AA flights till Tuesday AM. Then I asked about getting on another airline. She responded i would be responsible for that. When I asked how AA would reimburse. She became nasty and told me AA has not responsibility to reimburse anything they will put me in a flight for Tuesday morning. When i explained he must be there Monday by 8am, she told me there's nothing to do and practically hung up. At that point I just asked her to book the Tuesday morning flight. I had this experience with other airlines, cancelled due to weather and they and their reps were much more helpful. Either way Tuesday morning flight was delayed as well. Over an hour! I expect more from AA.
Abysmal, getting delayed approximately 13 times, having to switch out a crew with another crew that timed out within an hour, and customer service representatives that abandoned the stranded travelers. Terrible service
Delayed so that missed connecting flight. Connecting flight was also delayed on the tarmac but they closed the gate before the rescheduled time.
Terrible, oxygen masks were deployed mid-flight. We returned to airport. Took additional 12 hours to get home.
Food choice is limited, entertainment better than average, seat leg room terrible
Crew was rude and the flight is not comfortable for long haul.
The Wi-Fi is more expensive on AA that other airlines and it doesn't cover the whole flight; it's by the hour. So, the Wi-Fi for the flight from Spokane to Phoenix is $45. They also charge for checked luggage, unlike airlines like Southwest. The only plus side was that there are power outlets on the flight, and you get a full can of soda, instead of a partial, like most other airlines.
I guess the weather in the UK , but no one has any control over that , was missing a blanket for my knee on the plane though..
Food was very bad, eg noodle dish that could have hardly cost more than $1 plus a dry piece of bread a sad salad and a fig bar. Entertainment was also disappointing, mediocre movies and Tv shows and barely any classical music.
The terminal for this flight, 4S, was INSANE. So many Iberia desks, and it wasn't clear which ones were for which destinations. When I checked in, I asked if I could check my bags to LAX, my final destination, but was told no because my next flight was with another company--I would have to gather my luggage and then deposit it again in London. Annoying, but okay. Then I went through Security, where I was asked to open my luggage, berated for having water (which I offered to throw out), and just generally hazed. After Security, I went up and down countless escalators and then boarded a tram, which literally went miles. Following the tram, there was ANOTHER escalator and ANOTHER line, this time for passport control. At 10:25, I told officials there that I was on a 10:40 flight, but nobody seemed concerned. So after clearing passport control, I RAN all the way to the gate, where my boarding pass was scanned, and then ran along the gangplank. At this point, I expected to board a plane, but what I encountered was a STAIRWELL, with steep stairs leading downward. Astoundingly, I didn't see any elevators or escalators. I lugged a suitcase, large bag and jacket down three to four flights of stairs, expecting to board an aircraft at the end, only to encounter a bus outside. After all the hoops we passengers had just jumped through, I was floored by this. And because the bus driver was waiting for other confirmed passengers, the rest of us were standing on the bus for at least ten to 15 minutes. Once the bus FINALLY set off and then dropped us at the plane, which was sitting way out on the tarmac, we all had to cart our luggage and bags up ANOTHER steep set of stairs onto the plane. In 100-degree heat. Parched from the physical marathon I had just endured, I was thinking that once we were in the air, the flight attendants would pass out water. Instead, they went down the aisle asking if anyone wanted to order and pay for a drink, but they never asked me or many others if we wanted anything—they picked and chose passengers to ask. I raised my arm to try to get their attention, as I was desperate for some water, but they were avoiding almost all eye contact with the passengers. So I arrived in London completely dehydrated. Then I went to baggage claim. After waiting for about 20 to 30 minutes for my bags and not seeing anything that resembled mine, I started looking at my phone. That's when I saw an email from Iberia saying that there had been an incident with my luggage, and that my luggage had not made the flight, even though I had done the Madrid baggage drop in good time. Also, if I hadn’t checked my email, I don’t know how I would have found out that my luggage was missing, because there weren’t any reps at baggage claim. When I spoke to the Iberia representative about it, she said that the luggage would be arriving on another Iberia flight at 3:00 p.m. that day, but I was scheduled on a Virgin Atlantic flight departing London at 3:45, so picking up my luggage at 3:00 p.m. and rechecking it wouldn't be an option. After everything that had already happened that day, this was really disappointing. I didn't see my luggage again for two days. Honestly, it was just such a bad overall experience that I can't imagine flying Iberia again. And it was surprising, because earlier in the trip, I had been on the Renfe high-speed train from Barcelona to Madrid, which was a really good experience, so I had high expectations for Iberia. This could have been an aberration, but since it has been my only experience with Iberia, it is my only reference point.
It took an hour and a half for luggage to be dlivered in London
Bad. Bags are missing, there was no wheel chair assistance provided
You were not able to check in online. Was not able to select a seat. The flight was delayed, so missed my connecting BA flight. Flight was rebooked, but to a different airport luckily for the same day. My friend that I was traveling with her flight was rebooted 24 hours later. Very disappointed.
Everything could be better. Really poor airline service. No communication. Overall rude staff.
Horrendous, the worst ever. I would not fly with them again
Delayed so we landed 80 minutes late. Also the steward agreed we had unusually powerful AC above our seats which he couldn’t control so we were very cold throughout the journey . Food used to be better before. David our steward was excellent
The port to insert the headphones was loose and had to hold it the entire time
The BA team at Sky Harbor is deplorable, full of unnecessary attitude and poor communication. It seems like every member of the team was looking at another to solve the problem, instead of taking agency to do so themselves. I saw no less than 6 altercations with the same gate agent where he threatened to revoke the passengers boarding pass for asking a wildly reasonable question, something as simple as where the cue to board was. I’ve complained to BA before but it seems this isn’t an issue for them, which is very disappointing
Very Stress free Lounges were superb. Crews were caring. I loved it.
