Kazakhstan Travel Restrictions

Fully vaccinated visitors from India can enter Kazakhstan without restrictions.

Kazakhstan entry details and exceptions

These travel restrictions do not apply to

- Nationals of Kazakhstan

- Residents of Kazakhstan (may enter once every 15 days)

- Spouse, parents, children of nationals/residents of Kazakhstan (may enter once every 15 days)

- Nationals of specified countries, including Belgium, France, New Zealand, and Portugal

- Diplomatic passport holders and their families

- People with Kazakhstan visas and approved by Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan

- Passengers traveling as students with an invitation letter from an educational institution of Kazakhstan

- Passengers traveling on business and approved by the Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan

-Travelers arriving from selected -countries, who are citizens of this country, are allowed to enter Kazakhstan.

COVID-19 testing requirements
Test type

Unvaccinated visitors from India must present a negative RT-PCR (NAAT) test taken within 3 days before departing to Kazakhstan.

Fully vaccinated visitors with approved vaccination certificates do not need to present a negative COVID-19 test.

Details and exceptions
The testing requirement does not apply to travelers 5 years old and below.
Quarantine requirements

Visitors from India are not required to quarantine after entering Kazakhstan.

Temperature screening is performed upon arrival. Travelers with above normal temperature will be isolated in a designated facility even if they have a negative COVID-19 PCR test.

COVID-19 testing requirements
Test type

Unvaccinated travelers returning from Kazakhstan must present a negative RT-PCR (NAAT) test taken within 72 hours before departure to India.

Fully vaccinated travellers with approved vaccination certificates do not need to present a negative COVID-19 test.

Details and exceptions
Travelers should upload their negative RT-PCR test report in the Air Suvidha Portal prior to boarding their flight.
Travelers will undergo a medical screening upon arrival and may be subject to a covid-19 molecular test at their own expense.
Children under 5 years of age are exempted from both pre and post-arrival testing.
Fully vaccinated travelers with WHO-recognized or Nationally-recognized vaccines are also exempted from testing requirements. Proof of vaccination should be uploaded in the Air Suvidha Portal.
Quarantine requirements

Visitors returning from Kazakhstan are not required to quarantine upon entering India.

Details and exceptions
Quarantine is no longer required. However, travelers are advised to self-monitor their health for 14 days from arrival and if they develop signs and symptoms suggestive of COVID19, they should immediately self-isolate and report to their nearest health facility or call National helpline number (1075)/ State Helpline Number.
