You can use public transport to and from the airport before 6:30pm by catching a Smart Bus from the bus terminal outside of arrivals for a bus fare of 85 THB (about 182 INR). Buses are infrequent and operate about once an hour, going from Phuket City Airport to Phuket Town and back.
Taxis are the easiest way to get around, and you will find the taxi stand outside the main terminal. A fare to Phuket City should cost about 400 THB (about 860 INR), with a 100 THB (about 215 INR) airport surcharge. The trip to the centre should take about 30 minutes.

Cons: All food was for sale not included. Good it was not more than a four hour flight and I happened to have kept some thai money since it was a flight out of thailand. Also, this was our connecting flight - one in the middle of three flights going back to LA. For some reason, the gate attendant decided to have issues with my wife's passport, ticket, and greencard. All were valid. We bought the tickets and were in the middle of the flight, so it was late for any questions..... Took them awhile to determine that the greencard was really none of their business since we were flying through china and into the US on another airline. Luckily we were able to get on the plane before it left. Seems like the gate agents need better training on this.

Cons: No power plug, no English magazine, no phone allowed (even in flight mode) for a 4 hours flight. So “entertainment” deserves 2 star only. As a couple travelling together, we were not seated together, which is very annoying (that was the case for other passengers too) even though a lot of single seats were empty in the plane (crew refused to let us swap places). That’s a 2 star for the crew. Food and beverage is pay only, and was real bad, that is the 1 star for food.

Cons: Minus: On my flight from Bangkok to Siem Reap today, the seat in front of mine was broken and the seat back would not stay upright. The man in it asked for a new seat, and the FA first told him that it was okay, despite his head being in my lap. Both of us said that was dangerous, and only after arguing with three FAs was he finally able to change seats!

Pros: Generally okay and what one could reasonably expect for a regional low cost flight in Thailand. Ground staff were friendly and helpful despite huge numbers of people travelling. Likewise the cabin crew did their best given the low cost nature of the flight and having a full plane.
Cons: Paid for seat selection, which I thought brought with it some priority in boarding, however that was not to be and instead boarding was a bit of a free-for-all with no management of the situation by ground staff. The seat pitch is also hideous and even being of average height it was near impossible to even move my legs to retrieve something off the floor.

Cons: The process to check and pay for a bag at the airport was ridiculous. We waited in line to check the bag, found out that since we hadn't paid for it ahead of time, we could get the bag checked but would need to go stand in a new line to pay for it and could not have the bag tag until this was done. Then the new line only had one agent working all of the people who needed to pay for their bags. When we got to the front, we were asked to pay the bag fee with a credit card and the processing fee in cash. Since we were only connecting in Singapore, of course we did not have cash. She could not process the charge, walked us over to a new desk and a new line where they processed the bag charge without the cash fee (how this wasn't done initially, I have no idea) and finally, we were finished with the check in process an hour later.
Cons: The flight cancelled.first we boarded twice and been waiting for 7 hours Inside and outside the plane thereafter they gave up and decided to cancel it ..it was nightmare
