Your guide to booking Manila flights

From booking to airport arrival, find tips to help you plan your flight with more confidence.
  • For the best chance at a low fare to Manila, aim to book around 25 weeks before you fly. That window historically saves about 32% versus last-minute pricing based on KAYAK booking data over the last 12 months.
  • For flights to Manila, recent KAYAK data shows that stronger deals tend to be around ₹ 31,299 return. If you see a fare below that threshold, it's a good deal – book before the price climbs back up.
  • If you can choose when to go, aim to travel to Manila in September. Return fares historically average ₹ 35,433 that month – typically the cheapest month to travel based on the last 12 months.
  • Before you book:

    • Check the route's typical price range so you can spot a deal.
    • Confirm baggage fees and seat selection costs on budget carriers.
    • Verify whether you need any travel documents beyond an ID.
    • Pick a departure airport, since your nearest may not be the cheapest origin.
  • Shift your departure to evening to save up to ₹ 11,558 per return. Evening flights to Manila average ₹ 39,128 compared to ₹ 50,686 for midday flights. See the time-of-day chart above for the full breakdown.
  • Bag allowances vary by airline, fare type, cabin class, and route. On flights to Manila, some airlines may include bags at no extra cost. For example, Air India includes a cabin bag and a checked bag in Economy class. Always check the fare details before booking, since bag policies can change by ticket type.
  • Once you arrive in Manila, a few great places to start are Robinson's Place, Supreme Court of the Philippines, and U.S. Embassy. These are popular with first-time visitors and can give you a good feel for the area.
  • While there are a number of airlines that operate flights to Manila from India, there are no direct flights. Different airlines fly via different cities, so your choice of carrier may depend on where you would like to have a layover. The airlines flying into Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport from various cities in India include Cathay Pacific, Singapore Airlines (flying into T3) and China Southern Airlines (flying into T1).
  • Passengers who are in transit with children after flights to Manila will be happy to hear that there are Kiddie Travellers’ Lounges in both T1 and T3, which are well equipped with toys and games for both getting creative and burning off some energy. Once your children are all tired out they can relax in front of the TV and watch cartoons to while away some more of the layover time.
  • For hungry travellers who have a layover in T3 at Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport, there is a food court in the departures area with a range of restaurants and cuisines for you to choose from. Try out Ka Tunying’s Café or Max’s Restaurant for local-style food, or you can opt for the Japanese restaurants Raku Hokkaido Ramen House or Samurai Halal Express.
  • If you need to exchange currency before travelling from the airport into central Manila, there are various banks and currency exchange counters located in the arrivals areas of the terminals. The opening hours of these counters differs depending on which terminal you are in; otherwise there are ATMs located at convenient points throughout the airport.
  • If you wish to explore Manila under your own steam, there are several reputable car hire companies at Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport, including Avis, Hertz and National. On schedule, courteous, and efficient. Old aircraft with not so nice lavatories.

Food was excellent.. better if there are more movies selection.

Had picked seats while booking tickets but airlines reshuffled the seats without informing and we were again left with the worst possible seats on the return journey. terrible experience.

Overall the airline tried to give excellent service. The wheelchair service was bad at SFO. My baggage was also delayed but I thank them for taking the trouble to find it and deliver it to my home.

Airline should consider adding a small meal at the last leg of the flight, right now there is 7 hours of no meal break.

The food wasn’t good at all. I skipped meals .

Too many luggages for 1 passenger (4 bags) will make all the overhead luggage bins a challenge to fit them all. Some have oversized hand carry as in like back packer size bags shouldn’t be allowed as handcarry.

Great to have actual hot tastey meal on a flight. Well done

The seat comfort, the food and of course the crew, they made you feel welcome and relaxed 😊

I cancelled my family 2023 international vacation because you guys double booked me with the same date, passengers, airlines and just hours difference and did not want to refund me at the right time and then finally cancelled the extra booking! Cancelling the booking that I personally booked! And you guys kept the unauthorized booking! This experience was really bad! Ruined everything! Never again I will book with kayak , me , my family , my friends and most importantly I will advocate to everyone to make sure not to book with Kayak! None existing customers service! Only 3rd provider that serve only their company and not the travelers!!!!!!

Overall, very pleased with this flight. Boarding could be better because boarding was announced without a microphone so people didn’t know to line up until we heard the staff walking around to announce it. Also, had to stand in line for 10’ before we started moving. My husband who is impatient and cannot stand for too long did not like this. The rest of the flight- crew, food, and entertainment were very good.

We flew with their partner VESCO on a small plane, it was a really good flight. There was no food or entertainment as it’s a one hour hopper flight.

The flight boarded and departed pretty much on time as it’s just a one hour flight there is no food or entertainment so I marked that at the neutral but they do offer water and I’m sure if you needed some food you could bring your own onboard. This was our third internal flight with Vietnam Airways and I recommend them.

Very good flight and very kind crew Only thing is I wish there would be a vegetarian option for the meals

I am a bit upset with the check in counter, I signed up a wheelchair for my mom so they wouldn’t grant us her boarding pass. We got to the airport a couple of hours earlier and they had us wait and no one ever gave us her boarding pass or the wheelchair, I had to go back and complain when it was already time for our flight to board. Since we got their earlier, I could have easily pushed my mom myself and we could have relaxed and went to the lounge while waiting… when I finally got someone to help us he couldn’t explain how and why they dismissed us in the first place.

Was on holiday with my partner and we booked with Vietnam airlines as it not meant to be a budget airline. They separated us and made us sit at either end of the plane. Not the way I planned to spend my time on my holiday separate from my loved one. How can they separate people on the same booking. They know we are together and spending quality time together.

Ensure there is a choice of food for all customers and also enough food

No space in between the seats as per them the average height of human is 5’3” and weight as 55, so seats are designed as per the same. Also, the aircraft was dirty and full of insects

Flight was good but they cancelled return direct flight so they provide us connecting flight through hanoi

The most attentive crew and although we were a little late leaving ( missing passenger) flight experience more than compensated . Best flight attendants I have flown with in 50 years !!

Vast improvement needed in customer service. I couldn’t get the drink of my choice during both meals (i.e. sparking water and Diet Coke). I had used plastic cups falling onto me from the tray. No eye contact when they thank you on the way out signalling an insincere thank you.

Jia yung was the flight attendant that made this a miserable flight.

Service / food has to be much better. Staff were not very attentive to requests. Requested for a second serve of coke and got a weird look back from the host! Was also told they don’t have extra water bottles when I requested for one before sleep! Dinner time food was very minimum and average.

An overnight Doha to KL. Great sleep, good service and tasty food in business class

Delayed, not enough information. Had to ask for refreshments, crew could have been more proactive

No recognition for one World Emerald member. I got row 1 in business class and it was pathetic. No leg space, cramped space, less recline

I had purchased extra leg room for all legs of the flight but due to a delay in leaving Perth I was put on another flight but with Emirates. My luggage was initially lost but later found and my suitcase was broken. I ended up losing my upgrades

On-time & very well priced. All you need on a short flight.

The flight is awful, food isn’t very tasty or good, entertainment sucks

Personable, friendly service. Crew interactions always naturally pleasant and polite. The crew really enjoy their job and interactions with one another. Public Addresses are all smooth, clear and unambiguous - this instils confidence. Landing was butter-smooth in what seemed to be challenging and turbulent conditions - Kudos to the flight crew. Boarding and airport experience were good also.

The flight has been delayed for nearly an hour, yet neither the captain nor the chief steward made an effort to explain the reason for the delay or offer any apologies to the passengers.

My flight boarding was interrupted as gate staff said I needed visa in advance for Vietnam....

As usual, poor communication on delays. No info, no updates, no apologies.

should remind people who cough must wear the mask. A few persons surrounding keep coughing.

Meh, it was AirAsia. It's not about a quality.

Great flight. Achieve my objecttive of travelling with less hassle .

Air Asia’s standard has dropped tremendously post pandemic. The whole organisation feels ‘soul-less’

Crews could have been more friendly and helpful . One specific crew was a bit rude to some passengers

I don’t fly also same as previous no refund even it’s airlines or agency mistake

I don’t travel I need my ticket back until now am with so many communication daily to get my refund

Air India Express operates as a separate airline, so it says. Air India Express is a subsidiary of Air India and is part of the Tata Group, which acquired a 100% stake in the airline. (https://www.tata.com/business/air-india-express). Yet Air India express is not a member of Star Alliance, so Star Alliance gold members do not receive the benefits they would had they traveled on a mainline Air India flight. Even though it's a subsidiary of Air India, which is a Star Alliance airline. Very frustrating.

When landing in Hyderabad, the pilot made a hard landing. Everyone in the plane were shocked. The captain landed the plane hard and felt as if we were going to be thrown out from our seats. It was surprising the captain didn't apologize or make an announcement about. Again a surprise no crew acknowledge this. This was an odd experience!

I appreciated a meal on the shorter flight. It was slightly delayed with no announcement but I was able to determine what was happening.

I don't think there were entertainment options (short flight) - which is why I gave the 'ok' sign. Didn't make a diff in my flight experience either way, however

Really old air craft, broken seats and tray tables. Entertainment screens don’t work. Charging ports didn’t work.

Poor, pilot flew as if he was in hurry and had to coverup for wasted time

seats were not comfortable, entertainment was not working and food could be much better, given the airline calls itself full service and india's flag carrier.

The planes did not have charging jacks for phones or lap tops and there are no monitors for movies. On the flight from Delhi to Hyderabad I was the last person in First asked for a meal choice and only one meal was available so I had no choice.

Crew was polite. Ground crew was prompt in informing about the flight delay. Boarding process was ok. There was no entertainment on the flight. Blankets were not available for an overnight flight. It was very cold & blanket was given upon request. Food was average. It would have been better to serve breakfast instead of a late night dinner as people like to sleep & serving breakfast before disembarking in the morning at Singapore would have been much appreciated. Seats were ok. Plane was old.

Terrible airline... Originally, the flight was canceled and didn't receive a notification, had to learn from their twitter account... Rebooking was a huge pain... Every other airline like American and United did eventually fly a day later... The flight had a layover, no other airline needed one... India is such a weak nation globally, this airline has no leverage to negotiate good airspace... Flight left late, again no notifications as to why at the airport. On the plane, wifi is spotty, chargers don't work... The only saving grace used to be good food. Even that has gone down the drain. Just the worst!
