Cons: "They cancelled our flight without informing us from Doha to Miami, so they were going to fly us to Doha at 3 a.m., take us to hotel, and then have us fly the next day. This was the third time this airlines cancelled a flight on us for the same trip. The first two times were traveling from Miami to Delhi, we had to change our itinerary because they cancelled the flight, and we had to fly on different dates. This caused a series of hotel changes and cancellations costing us a lot of money. On the flight that we finally got from Doha to JFK, the man sitting next to me SMELLED LIFE THE FUNK OF 40,000 YEARS. It is unbearable. Thirteen hours of pungent body odor that even the flight attendants acknowledged was horrific. It was a miserable experience flying with this airline for what was to be the trip of a lifetime."

Cons: "At Mumbai airport, during check-in I was told that my carry on bag plus personal item together should weigh not more than 7kgs!! I have never had any airline actually weigh my personal item (laptop backpack) before this journey. Eventually I ended up stuffing my check-in bags with everything I was carrying in my carry on bag before I was allowed to check in. The weird thing is, I was never told about this rule on my journey from the US to India."

Cons: "During check-in, I observed inconsistent application of rules with respect to hand luggage. My carry-on and laptop bag combined were 12 kgs and was told that I had to pay excess baggage fees. While, there were quite a few people on the plane whose hand luggage was clearly above 12 kgs."

Cons: "The flight got delayed which caused me to miss my connection flight. I was at the gate of my connection flight 5 minutes before the departure, however, they did not let me in. They transferred my flight and now I have to wait 24 hours for the next flight."

Pros: "The crew was attentive and polite. The flights were on time, and the entertainment options were good. The Doha airport is quite nice, with many eating and retail options. although everything is very expensive, even by airport standards."
Cons: "My wife and I personally don't mind a selection that leans heavily toward Indian food, but I imagine others will not. The main courses were mediocre and the "sandwich" offered between meals on the 13+ hour flight was cold, soggy and inedible. The seats on our A350 were hard and not very comfortable, and the recline function was difficult to operate. Security at the Doha airport was confusing. We had to go through 3 separate checkpoints for our transfer, each with different rules and procedures. The final check at our departure gate was the worst, with impatient officials giving hurried instructions in heavily-accented English, and scolding if passengers didn't understand. I was sent back through a second time to remove my camera from the bag (and to be scolded by the agent), and was patted down a second time coming back through the x-ray, which had green-lighted me both times. It made me wonder if this was a reaction to the extra scrutiny that Arab passengers receive from our airport security in the USA."

Its been 6 days and the best answer I got was "We are not responsible for items you leave on our aircraft. We don't know if anyone even found it". Really? Is this that difficult to figure out? Can a strange bag left on a plane be overlooked for six days? That scares me."

I have had missed flights before and the airline has always taken care of me but this was just terrible. Cons: "As many of you know, Frankfurt/San Diego is a new service offered by Lufthansa. It touts direct flights to and from Europe. It’s main advertising draw was connection to the east. Many of their connecting flights at Frankfurt are scheduled within an hour of arrival. This possess a high risk of missing your connecting flight. I experienced this personally as a major number of my fellow travelers missed their connecting flights. Though Frankfurt has good directions, transfers take a long time due to multiple security checks and due to the size of the Airport. LAYOVER OF AT LEAST TWO HOURS WOULD BE BEST. Anything less, you risk missing your flight. I was personally selected TWICE for ‘random check’ for the same flight! Not sure how that can happen! The flight itself is long and arduous. the economy seats are small, cramped and don’t recline much at all. The entertainment selection was very limited. The TV touch screen barely worked. The food was tasteless and service was not much better. I have a hard time sleeping on flights with such bad seats but we had air hostess who kept talking the whole flight and that did not help with resting my eyes. I highly suggest taking a different airline through LAX. I personally feel like driving to LA and taking a flight there would be the wise move."

The agent at the check in desk immediately put us on an alternate AIr France flight via CDG to LAX, which left an hour before our FRA flight. The service on the flight was excellent. But we are most thankful for the quick re-booking on a different alternative, ensuring no hiccup. We will only be flying Lufthansa from now on, and recommending Lufthansa to all friends and colleagues."

I don't have enough extra of my medication here in Dallas. I am super stressed. No car. Costing me extra every day. Don't have enough clothes. This sucks!"

Being EP the benefits don't seem to be different from gold or platimum memebers as they board us all together. The crew was busy txting instead of being polite. I said hello, goodby, and thank you. Got no response back… as usual. I am a normal sized person but the seats are so small even I was uncomfortable. No drinks or real snacks on a 4.5 hr flight? Really? TSA precheck # not on passes even though entered when I purchased. Cherry on top, USB ports broken on all seats in my row… on both flights. WiFi sucks had to buy it just so it would work. At least the pilots know what they are doing. I’m going back to boycotting AA flights. Go Delta! Never have these issues when I fly them."

Cons: "The past two times flying with American out of Dallas my girlfriend and I have been separated on the flight. The first time we were able to be placed with each other but this time the attendant at the counter basically told everyone that because the flight was booked and there were so many people who had the issue that she could not move anyone around to be with their families. That on top of being rude to many of the flyers just makes the DFW experience with American feel like they don’t care about you."

My bag fit but I had to press the side in slightly to make it fit. She said it had to slide in without me pressing on it and proceeded to make me remove items from the bag in order to board the plane. I walked down the ramp with my extra pair of shoes and a book in my hands. As a result, I had to place my bag far from my seat due to the added time. My bag easily fit in the overhead compartment with room to spare and my being made an example was a completely pointless exercise."

Although our arriving flight arrived over an hour before the Scheduled departure time- yet we were told that the flight had been closed. Despite the fact that she could see my name and my husbands name on the screen for the flight. We informed her that we had attempted to check in online three times but we're not allowed to. I believe it had something to do with checked baggage. After demanding to speak to someone in charge- we were told that the airport supervisor needed to be told by air canada directly to reopen the flight to allow us on. At this time my husband has been on hold ( an international call- seeing as we were on an island) for nearly 30 minutes- finially someone picked up and essentially told us that there was no way for air canada to do that and in fact it was the arriving airline that we should be communucating with. At this point- we hung up. Fearing that we would be stuck there- although the plane had still not departed- but since the supervisor of the airport never physically appeared so that we could discuss the issue in person- I went to another airline , American, to try to find and pay for, mind you, another way to get my husband and myself home. After spending another $1500 to do so- we boarded the American flight and actually made it home before our scheduled time had we been allowed to board the air canada flight. Honestly- I'm not sure if it was air canada or the airport... But I do know that my husband and I will never fly air canada or honestly- I have no desire to go back to the airport where this incident happened- which is sad because I like to contribute to the tourism economy of small island countries... But this one is no longer in my list."

Both times they took our carry ons without giving us a choice. For our flight out this was a stressful nuisance because we had to catch a connecting overseas flight. This involved my husband and son going to baggage claim and then having to go back through customs and TSA. The whole point of carry ons is to avoid this. Luckily we didn't miss our international flight but not a good way to begin a trip of a lifetime. Flight was completely uncomfortable and it seemed like no one cared. Should have driven"

Our flight was just sitting there on the ground. when people asked they blew us off. we were also crowded into the last, very narrow, terminal area in the Toronto airport (F89-F99 area). Too many flights departing at the same time, created limited space to sit/stand. One passenger pasted out, and had a seizure upon hitting the floor face first, because of the stuffed space, and lack of air movement and available seats. They did have a fan in the area but it didnt do much to circulate air. Once we boarded an hour late, the ground crew were nowhere to be found. We waited 30min on the plane for crew to board our luggage. We were told they left the area to work somewhere else, and would be back soon. Ugh! I would not fly Air Canada again, esp through Toronto again."

I wish Air Canada had compensated me for this inconvenience. On my way back, my checked in baggage was badly damaged. I realize that the airline is not responsible for this and it is the airport crew. Overall a good experience. I will definitely take this flight again, but will not check in my hand baggage. The crew is very friendly and helpful - great service."

Cons: "While checking in online for the boarding pass I was asked for information like my nationality, residence, passport number, but yet I wasn't informed that I would be needing a transit visa to take a connecting flight from Toronto. I was issued a boarding pass and assigned a seat on the plane. But when I went to board the flight I was not allowed to. I had to go back home with all my luggage and book another flight. No compensation of any kind was provided for the inconvenience and harassment that I had to go through. Not only did I not get any money back I also had to pay for another expensive ticket. I believe it is the airlines responsibility to ensure that the passenger doesn't miss such an important requirement such as the transit visa. They should have check points/pop up messages on their website during the booking of the ticket or during the issuance of the boarding pass that informs or at least directs the costumer to such specific and vital requirements. When I fly by Air France they always direct me to a page that helps me locate the requirements to travel through a country. No such thing was there on Air Canada's website. This was the first time I was flying with Air Canada, but thanks to them I never did. And now I never will."

Cons: "Our experience with air canada was horrible as nowhere in the ticket was mentioned that Indian residents would need a transit visa to even just change gates in Canada . My parents being senior citizen were not allowed to board and we had to cancel the tickets last minute . The customer support was horrible as we had to wait for 30 mins in phone to talk to an agent to get the tickets cancelled before flight departs and were penalized 400$ cancel fee ! Never ever would we purchase this airline even had no other choice ."

Cons: "Air hostesses were extremely rude and were full of themselves. There was a long queue for the washroom so I used the business class one which probably is not allowed is what I did not know. Your air hostesses were so rude, instead of telling me politely that I am not allowed she shouted at the top of the lungs to ensure that everybody around hears it and I get embarrassed. Later, when I asked for tea options she said "we don't serve tea options in economy class" as if I am some free loader and travelling in your plane for free. She ruined my trip completely. I don't remember her name but I do remember her face well. It was the worst experience ever. I never expected servers who are supposed to be trained to serve passengers behave so nasty with passengers just because we decided to pay lesser for the flight not because we can not afford."
