This is unlikely and complex process for anyone while in airport to get access to print, scan etc. we wish this was more simpler process Cabin was too cold and staff deny bluntly to make any adjustment saying some other set of passengers complained that cabin is warm.. I have not seen anyone who could sit around with out blanket on them and we had to get double blankets and wrap ourselves in there"

It caused lots of hardship as I had no way of contacting my family to let them know I had arrived and was safe. They were all worried when I didn't come out of the airport at Hyderabad in a timely manner since I traveled alone due to an emergency."

The 15kg weight allowance for stowed baggage (that no one told me about) but I did like the way one could pay for excess at the check in desk. strange that refreshments were served 15 mins before arrival exactly when the pilot started his landing announcement on both legs I travelled. On the longer leg they were also offered earlier it is true, so it seemed especially odd to serve again then."

All you got was water and tea or coffee with the meals. Some of the flight attendants had attitudes and were throwing temper tantrums."

Cons: "The service is very very poor compared with any other competitor in each and every aspect including fare and service. They should be ashamed to charge/ sell the seats which have problems. The entertainment system wasn’t working for me for a paid seat and unfortunately they also couldn’t turn it off completely until half of my journey and finally they covered the monitors with blankets to stop the light so that we were able to sleep just for 3 hours out of 15 hour journey. Again this is for a paid seat and they proudly say it’s the same issue for atleast 40% of the seats"

Pros: "Flight from chicago to delhi and the international conn to kochi was all excellent and seamless. I highly recommend flying air india if you find a last min good deal because then most seats are empty so you can stretch out and sleep."

Pros: "On time, comfortable, good leg room in economy class and decent service you can expect. This was a Dreamliner service from Dubai to Kochi. Can't comment about onboard service as I was comfortably sleeping during both trips and chose to skip it. On my previous trip from Kochi to Dubai last month, the flight reached Dubai 40 mins ahead of the schedule. I would highly recommend this service over Emirates flight to Kochi."

The guy at the counter couldn't get me a luggage label; then announced the flight was overbooked, took back my boarding pass and then tore it up. Told me my seat had been assigned at another counte to a family. He sent me over to another counter where no one told me anything for gala an hour. Finally they told me I had no option but to take the next flight at 500am. They put me up in a trashy transit hotel, made me wait outside in the heat for another half hour for the transport to the hotel. Will never fly Air India again if I can help it. Everywhere you see a lot of air India officials but only on in ten appears to know his job. Very unprofessional, incompetent, customer unfriendly. What a pathetic airline. Btw the frigid provided is a meager vegetarian buffet at a restaurant which is a few blocks away from the transit hotel."

Cons: "NEVER EVER CHOSE THIS AIRLINE. How such an airline is still the national carrier of India amuses me. My entertainment system was not working. There were no headphones and when asked they just kept ignoring me. The remote was broken in 2 pieces and when asked the attendant replied "Am i supposed to fix this?". I was forced to travel for 15 long hours from Chicago to New Delhi without any entertainment system. I barely saw any flight attendants in the economy class. Such airlines without any professionalism should be grounded ASAP. I would request Kayak also to remove Air India from their services or give a warning when any user opts for it. The Govt. of India should strip of the national carrier symbol of this huge debt ridden business. Its a shame that a route like US - India wherein the middle east airlines are reaping profits due to their brilliant services, the citizens of India have to look for other options rather than their own national carrier. SHAME ON YOU AIR INDIA."

Our group was on a medical mission and had to have a bag for our clothes and one for medical supplies. It cost over $800 for 6 of us to have the medical come with us to Nepal. As humanitarian volunteers, that money comes out of our pickets. There is no reimbursement from the sponsoring charitable foundation. We could check both bags for free from the US to Nepal, but because we had to have a layover in India, Air India charged for one of the bags. There was no other airline option available to avoid this cost."
