Cons: "At Mumbai airport, during check-in I was told that my carry on bag plus personal item together should weigh not more than 7kgs!! I have never had any airline actually weigh my personal item (laptop backpack) before this journey. Eventually I ended up stuffing my check-in bags with everything I was carrying in my carry on bag before I was allowed to check in. The weird thing is, I was never told about this rule on my journey from the US to India."

Cons: "During check-in, I observed inconsistent application of rules with respect to hand luggage. My carry-on and laptop bag combined were 12 kgs and was told that I had to pay excess baggage fees. While, there were quite a few people on the plane whose hand luggage was clearly above 12 kgs."

My sole complaint is about the general practice in all airlines that they serve first the slim minority that does not eat meat. Democracy means that the majority should be served first. Unless the airlines consider the vegetarians as some kind of sick people! 2. The crew didn't offered us enough liquids during the flight and the excuse that they didn't wish to disturb our sleep is too lame."

If one reason I had to choose to drop Lufthansa from my future consideration then that would be worst food and drinks. I would strongly recommend that they should assign people who need additional time to board at the back of the plane. It will help them to go back of the plane faster and avoid gridlock in the middle. Another advantage is it will help other passengers leave plane faster at the end of the ride. Boarding process will be come significantly faster by filling the plane from back to front by loading passanger with children and who needs time at the first loading area at the back of the plane. That flight is chronically late or canceled. So I felt very lucky, especially after a long flight from Israel. The crew was nice however."

I was amazed by the quantity of movies of top quality that were offered, and was able to watch 3 on the flight that I had not been able to see in recent months. The crew were terrific, seats could have reclined a bit more, but there was great leg room, and I did not feel squeezed in. Altogether, terrific!"

Cons: "I actually lost money because of the misinformation -- was told there was a modification on my flight details and that I had to call the Lufthansa office. I called in and was never told that anything was wrong. I kept trying to check in online and got blocked at every trial... Cut a long story short, I showed up for my Lufthansa flight to only be told I didn't have the required visa for one of my layovers... I missed my flight, got no refund for it and got zero help in finding a solution to my problem. You could do better than that, Lufthansa."

Cons: "The first plane was broken and the pilot kept coming to brief the passwngers that it was broken but it may be fixed and so on, it would have been better if he had just let the counter clerk say the plane is delayed due to maintenance. As a customer, i dont need all the rambling explanation every ten minutes about the issue. I was told that we could board another flight leaving in 30 minutes, so i went to that gate, crew was not there and we boarded the plane. We had to de- board and wait for the crew. After the crew showed up, the rest of the flight was pretty standard."

Pros: "Crew was friendly and helpful. Offered ice after I burned and blistered my finger on the overhead light because it was so hot because it was so old. Pilot got me safely to my destination."
Cons: "-A line of agents asking for passports to even enter the area where American Airlines is located. Crazy security for no reason. -Tiny seats -No legroom for an 8 hour flight -No creature comforts or modern day technology like personal TV's or charging ports. Only 3 Small TV's along the the middle aisle. I remember flying on a plane like this in 1986. Played movies from 2012. Smurfs? Really? -No headphones offered -Burned my finger on the overhead light!!! Still have a blister!"

Pros: "Comfortable seats, for the most part friendly crew, with one exception. Flight left right on time and landed with no extra time to taxi. That was a welcomed benefit."
Cons: "No wifi on plane and no individual tv's for movie selections. Also had to pay extra for an aisle seat. Could not select seat at time of purchase. Didn't know if I called Iberia or American to make seat selection. Confusing with two different flight numbers. One from Iberia and one from American. Passengers should be made aware of which airline they are flying on at time of purchase."

Pros: "Love the direct flights from RDU to West Coast. Wish there were more cities on the list. The flight was delayed about 45 minutes after we boarded for take off. I hate sitting on planes idling. The seats are already uncomfortable, then add more time onto that to sit. But we made up the time in the air for an on time arrival. Hmmmm?"
Cons: "For a 5 hour flight at dinner time and then the 3 hour time change, the snacks provided are not enough. You just have to remember to bring food on the plane and then risk annoying your fellow passengers with the food/dinner dining space. More checks of drinks would be nice too. Cost cutting measures, but minimal considering a packed flight and pretty high ticket price."

Pros: "The PWM airport, ALMOST makes air travel tolerable. Great little airport. Crew was pleasant, Seemed to enjoy their work. That, alone makes a huge difference in an industry that truly doesn't put customer service anywhere NEAR the top of the priority list."

Cons: "The worst experience I ever had in thirty years of flying. I missed my flight because even though I got to LAX two hours before the flight, I had to wait on the baggage check for two and a half hours. The attendants were texting and talking and not servicing the passengers. When I told American attendants and supervisors that I was going to miss my flight unless they got me through they were clueless and didn't care about me or any of the passengers. The entire American staff were the most disorganized and careless flight personnel I have ever seen. Them they put me on a standby flight, where I was number eight and five minutes later was number eighteen, so I missed that, too. My wife is one of the top Public Relations people in Los Angeles and we both have tweeted and posted on social media extensively about this horrendous experience. I require a full refund from American Airlines for my airfare, and if I don't receive it from you will take you to court. --Eric Red"

Cons: "The in-flight entertainment was out, and the a/c was barely working-not good for a four hour flight. Instead of addressing the issues the flight crew was more interested in chatting with each other. No pre-flight drink service in first class, they rarely even passed through the canin."

Cons: "This was supposed to be an Iberia flight, but with code share nothing is as it seems. (Had to cancel previous flight on Scandinavian air as that turned into some Turkish Charter). These old birds were 30 years old, out of Arizona desert storage...former TWA, so no entertainment or power or anything. And, AA re-confirmation showed flight and ticket canceled! Said Iberia flight, Iberia said AA flight...yikes! Serious glitches and lost data...locator number erased! You see why I tried to take a foreign carrier."

Pros: "The entertainment wasn't good (the movie choice was not to my liking, the main feature was shown twice, there was no opportunity to choose a different film, the screen was difficult to see, and the sound was difficult to hear), but none of that was very important to me. The crew was great, and surprisingly edible food and generous beverage offerings just kept coming. The food and beverage service never intruded on anyone's rest or reading, but rather provided just the right amount of distraction to enable the time of the flight to pass quickly. Overall, it was one of the best flight experiences I can remember."

Cons: "i had my boarding pass and chose my seat some time ago, in row 4. When I checked in, the AA representative switched my boarding card and I was told that my seat was no longer available. When I got to the gate, I spoke to the gate attendant. There were several people also speaking to them about their seats. I did not have a seat assigned to my boarding pass, so I stood until the entire plane boarded and the gate attendants could sort things out. In the end, I was given a seat at the back of the plane, even though booked my seat some time ago and am a Sapphire member. When I boarded, there was no room for my carry-on luggage. The flight attendant already understood what happened. She immediately took my bag, and found a space at the front of the airplane. This is the second disappointing flight in a row in 2 weeks I have had with AA. I'm not sure if it's just bad luck, or has something to do with the company. I had flown with U.S. Airways for years and never experienced any major issues."

A couple of the crew members were disrespectful, combative, whining about other passengers and definitely needed to be trained in customer service. Chicken/pasta was bland and not cooked well, pairing of the food was terrible, in fact they even had the wrong condiments - they gave butter with the omelette but no bread. In that case, instead of butter, ketchup would have made sense. The music section of entertainment had one song in each genre. Poor touch screen, no pullout remote and not the best selection/ not properly organized. Overall, I would say, United needs to learn from their peers - middle eastern and asian airlines about service, food and process. The only thing going for them is the direct connectivity"

Cons: "My connecting flight was delayed by 4 hours due tknsmong in India. I called United ahead of time to tell them I was not able to make my flight and if there was anyway I could get a new ticket. The representative was confident that 40 minutes between my flights at Delhi was enough time to make it despite me reminding her about the time it took to get off the plane, pick up my luggage, get through immigrations and travel to my terminal. She was very wrong. She insisted I call them when I land and that I go to the ticket booth. Little did she know that once I miss my flight my ticket is no longer valid and I was no longer able to enter the airport in India. Once I reached the entrance I was directed to a Untied booth all the way at the end of the terminal and was told to buy a new ticket. There was no United representative at this booth. I waited 3 hours and even called the number posted at the booth. No one picked up and no one came. I had wasted several hours. I ultimately decided to buy a ticket online spending another thousand dollars to get back home when I was told that I would be given a new ticket at the booth by United. But I had to wait another 24 hours outside the airport because I was not allowed in so early prior to my flight. Very unprofessional and unhelpful when I needed it the most."

Thank you United! We only had one day visiting our son and his wife near Seattle, if we had missed that flight, I don't know when we would have gotten in. We would have lost our day."
