I have had missed flights before and the airline has always taken care of me but this was just terrible. Worst was that this happens on a regular basis and yet customers are not informed of a need for a Schengen visa. Finally after begging and begging i had to pay to get on a flight to Frankfurt."

I would strongly recommend that they should assign people who need additional time to board at the back of the plane. It will help them to go back of the plane faster and avoid gridlock in the middle. Another advantage is it will help other passengers leave plane faster at the end of the ride. Boarding process will be come significantly faster by filling the plane from back to front by loading passanger with children and who needs time at the first loading area at the back of the plane. The difference of inflight entertainment technology was certainly VERY noticeable & I actually preferred it. Better, clearer, bigger screens. It just changes the experience for the passenger if we can be happily distracted."

Cons: "The website does not allow updating of food preferences. I tried multiple times to update my preferences but it did not work well. Veg options are a must for flights originating from India as there are several passengers who prefer veg meals. However, this was not well attended to in the flight."

Cons: "The crew was not helpful in keeping us informed about the delay, or in helping us make our connections."

Pros: "Flight was good - smooth takeoff & landing. But delayed half hour in Abu Dhabi , did not make it up. Crew good but food was not tasty. My wife's specially ordered Jain vegetarian meal was inedible. Seat comfort OK but soiled by a supper in seat ahead, could not stretch legs."

Cons: "Etihad overbooked me along with more than a dozen other passengers on a 14-hour international flight. Apparently Etihad decides on who gets left behind. Etihad's "Transit Travelers" service is one of the WORST customer service desks I've ever been to. I waited in line for 2 hours. Passengers were urging to be served so they can make it to their connecting flights not knowing they have been already selected not to board those plains. Voices were raised and demands were made to speak to the supervisor. It was chaos. I made it to the agent shortly after the gate to my flight had opened. I was shocked by how the agent lacked empathy when he informed me I won't make it to the connecting flight because it had been overbooked. Not an apology or even sir! I was forced to be rerouted which stretches my 25-hour trip to 33 hours. Then the connecting flight gets delayed more than an hour resulting in missing the second connecting flight. Now my trip has become a 41-hour trip, I missed a day of work that's worth more than double the value of the voucher Etihad gave me and lost one day of unscheduled vacation. Etihad even damages my bag that had servived more than 10 flights. I will never fly Etihad and strongly recommend against flying with Etihad."

Cons: "Seats are narrow and leg room is tiny. I am likely not alone in saying that I would pay a little extra for my ticket if all our seats were a bit more roomy and leg room a bit wider. And I am not talking about just your upgrades - I detest such a la carte pricing that only make money for the company without considering comfort for the customers."

Cons: "this does not necessarily reflect in the airline, other than the fact the staff could really not do anything for me in Abu dhabi: the eithad staff handed me an email and told me i had to inform them that way. no designated lost and found, the local police were utterly unhelpful"

Cons: "I had requested a special meal on my profile. before my onward journey I had also verified at the gate that my special meal was included. 1) they ran out of meals and didn't even realize that i had a special meal - they did try to accommodate and infact i think one of the meals looked like it came from the crew themselves. However it should not be the case 2) the cafe items are not marked for special meals. they ran out of vegetarian items by the time they reached my seat. as a result i had no food at snack time at all."

Cons: "- LOST BAGGAGE: they lost my suitcase in the last leg (auh-maa) and I did not receive it for 4 days. I had no clothes, toiletries, etc as I only checked in 1 bag. No compensation offered. - I had to literally get into an argument with the ground staff at MAA airport to get any compensation for basic toiletries, change of clothes, etc. I only received compensation 15 days later for 2 days after several phone calls. I finally had to show up at their office, upon which I realized none of their staff communicated with each other. So, I had to explain everything from the begenning and was finally given some monetary compensation. - Their staff called me back every once in a while and promised things that they never delivered on. For example: they asked me to wait at my mom's house for 4 hours as I needed to sign some paperwork and they could not mail it or email it to me. After waiting 4 hours and cancelling other plans, no one shows up and no one answers the phone. - On my flight back, flying through AUH was a disaster. We had not been notified of the new pre-clearance procedures and with only 1 hour 30 minutes to get past 3 security checks and U.S pre clearance was near impossible. So, 10 passengers including myself just waited while our flight took off. - In AUH airport, their staff gave us completely different directions. We would be told to go to the rebooking desk by the ground staff, and once we get there the ticketing agent informs us we cannot be rebooked for 3 hours and that the prior person did not know what she was talking about. - So, they make us stay awake for 5 hours from 2 am to 7 am seated in their waiting area, until someone finally is able to rebook us to our destinations in the UNited States. They rebooked us on connecting flights which added 5-6 hours to the flying time. Simply awful management. - The staff complaining about their jobs, miscommunication and other work related problems was really unprofessional when they had pregnant women and children waiting around for 5 hours."

Cons: "Food problem again. Did not have vegetarian food, even after selecting it online. Crew did not collect cups and other stuff before landing. So tray table was not stowed during landing, posing hazard. Crew needs to be trained more on safety."

Pros: "Totally it was good and we enjoyed our trip. Keep it up In particular Asian vegetarian food was good. We South Indians need more milk for tea snd coffee. On request the same was given. Nothing more to add"

Cons: "My inlaws were carrying 4 bags with them. However all 4 are in very bad condition. Wheels are almost broken and I can't even drag them. It's worse. For there return journey I have to buy them new ones. It's overhead for me."

Pros: "The flight from Washington DC to Abu Dhabi had nice modern amenities. I like the wide range of entertainment options, plus power supply options for every seat. The food was decent."
