The boarding procedure was ABYSMAL. It is infuriating to be asked to "social distance" and wear masks when the airline is unable to conduct boarding in an organized and efficient way. The crew was totally incompetent in informing waiting passengers. No microphones. No digital display of boarding order. No staff assistance. Waiting for WAY too long with no explanation. It was perfectly awful. Food was eatable but completely tasteless. Not nearly enough liquid distribution.

Reason: There are two queues 1 For people who did a web checkin 2 people who didn’t do a web checkin The Qatar staff at Hyderabad experienced a technical glitch because their only system failed and there was no backup option. There was no apology from any of the staff. No one values the time of the people who chose Qatar making it a very bad experience overall"

Initially charged $1000 for 3 tickets for modification of return trip - confirmed the same and tickets issued (i'm fine with this). But, after i made arrangements for new date, I got a call saying calculation error and asked to pay another $500 leaving me no choices. How can such a reputed airline have no tools to calculate the pay? Other airlines offered one-way for half of the price i paid. On top of it, online helpdek promised front line seat to satisfy me but nothing was offered even if i ask explicitly. Simply declined saying i am not in priority list. Why do they make false promises? Friends, Just don't fly for food ....."

So it's one thing that you have to cancel the flight because of fog; but rebooking us the next day on a flight through New York that doesn't exist, was way below the standard of care I would expect from any airline. Apparently, the NY to LAX flight that KLM booked us on, was only one leg of the flight to Sydney Australia; and according to some airline agreement, only Australian nationals are permitted to take that flight! Running around at JFK from terminal four, to terminal seven, to terminal eight, back to terminal four, to get a flight out, was a bit much considering how tired we were – not to mention hungry, since KLM neglected to provide the kosher meals we had requested with plenty of time – BOTH going to and returning from Europe."

They also didn’t make many beverage trips considering this was a 11 hour flight a little surprising since we had a 6 hour one that brought drinks more than this one. Also stingy on the drink size so it was disappointing to set less and then come around 1/2 as much."

Connecting flights missed. I reached my final destination by a delay of 24 hrs. Luggage came after 3 days. No wheel chair provided at LHR. I have been suffering from Back pain since several years, underwent surgery. I had to walk a larger distance at LHR to hotel and back to to catch flight. Very horrible journey I had ever experienced."

Cons: "Non-A380 plane feels very old now and in need of an overhaul. My biggest complaint was the food. On the outbound leg (SFO-LHR) I had the pasta dish which was dry and poorly cooked so on the return flight I opted for the beef dish which was ok. I thought that the pasta was just a one-off issue. When the pre-landing meal arrived, it was so bad I had to look at the menu to see what it was (pea mousse with artichoke and almonds). It was completely inedible. Finally the amenities bag consisted of hand cream, face lotion and lip balm as well as the std toothpaste, socks, eyeshades etc. in the past there were far more items in the bag. Overall it feels like BA has cut costs and I had a reasonable deal on my flight price which I was willing to pay just to have a lie flat bed. I can't imagine if I paid $5K for this flight and had the same experience. I recently flew Emirates from SFO to Dubai in business class and it was comparable to first class in BA."
Cons: "First it's delayed by 1 hour. Few hours before the departure, it's delayed by another hour when I was checking the status from home. Then suddenly it's was back to 1 hour delay, which totally screwed up my travel time to the airport."

Cons: "the armrest between the seats did not go up all the way. the storage area next to the window seat was dirty on the inside with food crumbs. after the recent news about bed bugs, i was uneasy on the flight. the actual flight was smooth, some turbulence but not the worst. they have absolutely the worst food ever. i have no idea what the awful purple stuff is, but they really should get rid of it. it is really unappetizing by the look of it. the carpet was coming loose in a number of places, just in our seat area. how long would it take to put some tacks in, or even some tape? bathroom was nasty and the sink was clogged.and full of water"
Pros: "We could tell upon boarding that the crew was focused on making our fight of 10 hours as pleasant as they could. They got along well together, which aided in providing excellent coordinated care to the passengers. Not an hour passed without being offered food, drinks, snacks, drinks, and more food. Even a time delay at take off due of a passenger leaving passport in the terminal was made up mid flight, for an ontime arrival in SFO. Would definitely look to British Airways for my next European trip."

The seats are very close together, making it very difficult to get in and out, particularly if the person in front of you puts the seat back. On long flights we like to get up and move around a few times, and not only is it hard to get out of our seats to do this, there is little room to walk or stop to stretch. Heathrow London is tolerable if one is going to London, but as a place to change planes, it's exhausting. The various walks feel like mazes, and going from one terminal to another, even by tram, is time-consuming and tiring. We fly to Europe often, but we will try to avoid both British Airways (Airbuses, at least) and Heathrow."

I can understand once and maybe for one of us but it has happened EVERY time. MOST IMPORTANTLY, I sadly left my laptop onboard and I called the number for SFO BA Lost and Found for 48 hours....every 20 minutes. NO ONE answered and no one returned my messages. I finally had to drive back to the airport to talk to a human....a 5 hr round trip. No laptop turned in and it didn't turn back up in London. So clearly, cleaning crew stole it. That in its own right is a problem but NO ONE returning my calls. Completely unacceptable. I got the duty manager's email and emailed him TWICE over TWO days before he returned my email. I highly doubt I will fly BA again, I'm afraid."

Pros: "The air plane ran out of fuel we had to divert to San Jose we waited two hours because of weather and because the paperwork had the wrong pilots name so they wouldn't let the plane fly. Therefore we waited in the airport all night because neither British airways or American Airlines would help us We waited here all night with no sleep no one would give us a hotel or a meal we have now will be getting into London 24 hours later than planned and we will be out about $1000 in hotels in two hours we had booked that were non-cancelable . Multiple phone calls to British airline Waze and to American Airlines for all of the helpful"

Pros: "We arrived safely at our destination. Our bags arrived at our destination. Plenty of room in the overhead compartment. Due to a security snafu unrelated to the airline, we arrived at the gate after boarding was over but the gate crew were gracious and welcoming and let us board. The male flight attendant was quite nice. The entertainment screen choices were decent, and the hand-held controller was a great improvement over the touch-screen variety. There were multiple lavatories available. There was a decent amount of space by the lavatories that we could use for stretching and exercising. The wrap they gave us for high tea was pretty good."
Cons: "Seats were very cramped. I was sitting on the right next to the window, and there was no room for me to extend my right leg while facing forward; I had to twist to my left and extend my legs under the middle seat in front of me (fortunately my wife was next to me so I could do this). In addition, the passenger seated in front of me decided to recline his seat, nearly knocking over my drinks in the process, which left me with very little usable space. I haven't ever felt that cramped on an international flight. The main meal was very low quality. I had the pasta and it was quite awful; the sides were quite bad, as well. One of the female flight attendants was rather testy and unpleasant throughout the flight. She, and another female flight attendant, seemed put out when passengers asked questions about the food offerings, as though we should already have known what was being served. One passenger had just woken up and seemed confused and the flight attendant was quite impatient with him. The flight attendants were quite stingy with the water and only poured out a little bit at a time; they also came very infrequently, which meant that we had to keep pressing the call button to ask for more (which made us feel bad about bothering them). They would not give us a whole bottle of water, saying that there was not enough, but did, when we asked, provide multiple plastic cups of water at a time, which just seemed wasteful (of cups, not water). The timing of drink service was also perplexing: they did not offer drinks at least 45 minutes before or after bringing the boxes of salty "movie snacks"."
Pros: "This was my first time on an Airbus A380 and I must say that I'm still in awe of how an aircraft this large can be so quiet and smooth, let alone get in the air. Boarding was smooth. Entertainment was great and the food (depending on what you got) was okay. The inflight crew was nice and helpful."
Cons: "Economy seats are very uncomfortable. I am 6'4 and there isn't that much space. It's even worse when you have a kid sitting in front with his seat reclined all the way back - so the little room I had to start with became even worse. Not to mention he kept rocking his chair back in forth, passed gas about 5 times, felt the need to stretch his arm behind him 3 times so his hand was blocking my screen. I really never got comfortable in my seat during the 11 hour flight. For a plane this large, i would of expected a little bit more comfort, especially when I felt it on AA 777"

I am 5 months pregnant and it was not comfortable not having husband close to me, when in case of emergency I need something and he is not able to help right away."

Compared to other US airlines, American is the worst. The planes are tight. Seats are uncomfortable and there was no option to buy food on a 6 hour flight. Also the free wifi didn’t work.

I don't fly American that often, but wanted to give it a try to see the difference between you and the other airlines. I have to say that on the return segment (ORD to SFO), I was not that impressed."

The poor weather likely caused flights to be rerouted into PHL so our flight out to SFO ended up 1/3 empty. FABULOUS. But the gate experience was horrible and the legroom, had it been a full flight, was miserable. I'm in search of an airline with a humane approach."

The guy at boarding (unlike the boarding in SFO) called way too many groupss individually, First Class, Diamond, Premium, Gold, Priority. This led to many people being refused boarding and told to wait. In SF they simply call first class and then all the rest or the Aadvantage members together before the land boarding. Much faster and more efficeint. Even though the flight was full there less than 12 people in the Diamond, Premium, whatever classes. And the guy taking the boarding passes was a jerk. He actuallly seemed to take pleasure in telling people they couldn't board. Might not ever fly AA again. At least never from Philadelfphia."

As the connecting time was around 2 hrs , I had to rush to board the next flight. The connecting bus to the airport made me wait for a long time and I reached the gate quite late after the boarding was over! And after all this drama where I rushed and ran through ,crossing the domestic airport ; there was a long queue for general security check. I ran to the immigration , rushed through the security check. And finally reached the gate. I forgot , I am pregnant ! I was told there , I will have to shift to another seat due to "emergency" exchange reason ! Oh gosh ! I felt , I deserve a round of applause for making it there and I was offered an exchange ! It's unbelievable, but the flight got delayed by 3 hours! Yes, you read it right , by three hours ! The crew members were not that prompt and welcoming ! The flight toilets weren't sufficiently equipped with the necessities. They was no hot water flowing through many taps, seat-covers were missing, even the basic toiletries were."

The male employee grappled my passport and boarding pass and insisted that I follow him and check through the Indian Passport immigration line though I am an American citizen with a US passport. Then taken quite some distance to a back room where two male employees stared at me and wrote down my passport number and name in a log book. My passport and boarding pass were repeatedly taken and held without my permission. After checking thru customs, I was among the first to arrive at the designated gate 36 which was initially closed . When boarding time arrived, I was among the first on line to board. I was again pulled out of line and prevented from boarding until way past the last boarding call with no clear explanation. I am a 72 year old RN and was suffering from severe bronchitis and a head injury sustained on acsidewalk In the town of Solan while searching fur an ATM. No accommodations were provided for my age or physical condition. The unexplained, rude and cruel conduct by Air India employees constituted elder abuse. I feel an apology and a refund are the least that Air India needs to provide considering their cruel behavior. I would advise all seniors especially women to avoid flying Air India."

As an Air India frequent flyer, I am very disappointed and don't plan on EVER booking them again and you can be certain I will spread the word via social media. Their 777 plane is so old and run down, hardly anything works and the seats are uncomfortable."

Cons: "Bullshit boarding process that left me furious! I had a family of 5 that all had seats together. I specifically requested for extra leg space chairs as I have someone in my family who is 6'+ and another member who recently had knee replacements and thus needs extra leg space to allow more knee flexibility. My seats were all good to go, and I arrived at the airport 8hrs prior to my flight and was able to check in and print boarding passes. When I was boarding the aircraft, the gentlemen crossed off my families seats and re-wrote them in PEN right at the gate. I told him I did not approve, and he said "it is to make all your members together". I had told him we were already seated together and I did not like him switching my seats last minute. Turns out when I went in the aircraft that my seats were given to other members, and my family was forced to sit in another row. The team in the aircraft called the guy from the gate and asked why this was done. He gave me all sorts of bullshit excuses, none which made sense. He said it is "Impossible" to give me my original seats back. The other issue occurred from SFO-DELHI where the crew was incredibly rude. They would walk away in the middle of someone speaking, and wouldn't stand to listen to the full request."

Pros: "Crew served with grace. Your crew is doing whatever they can to serve best, but the poor plane infrastructure, indiscipline and chaotic boarding process is terrible at DEL. This part of the business process requires re-training, enforcement."
Cons: "Toilets did not have toilet seat cover papers, very limited supplies of tissue paper. Paper towels were provided instead of tissue paper and seat cover papers. No wonder these toilets clog so often. It's a long haul flight almost 161/2 hours; should attend this need. Upon inquiry from crew, I came to know that flight services from DEL to SFO does not provide toilet seat covers; while SFO to DEL does? Entertainment system hardly works; three of the entertainment systems at 34 row were not working. Infrastructure seating, cushions are old, suggest updating/refurbishing these for such a long flight. Food menu should be reconsidered, especially bread - I still don't understand why are you serving bread roll with Indian food, mismatch, and also would suggest executive management to make surprise checks on the food quality - hopefully they will understand."

Cons: "1. food tasted so bad. it wasnt fresh for sure. 2.Service was aweful. Very hard to get help from the employees. wasn't convenient at all. 3. entertainment screen wasn't working well especially the touch screen wasn't very sensitive. 4.booked two tickets with my spouse but got seated totally apart and didn't even try to seat us together. and lot more."
Cons: "One of the passengers threw-up in the aisle near the restroom and the airlines staff simply threw some news paper on top of it rather than actually cleaning it up so we all sat there smelling it for another 5 hours."
Cons: "Entertainment system, reading light and bath room quality are too irritants. Very dirty aisles, crew not engaged enough, kitchens are run over by passengers directly."
Pros: "Non Stop Flight to Delhi was the only comfort."
Cons: "Old Aircraft. Bad and old seats with less cushion. Minimal incline on the seats. Broken hand-rest, Broken airline provided headphone. Headphone two pin adapter not standard with Bose or other noise cancelling headphones I brought with self. Food was average. A lot more expected from the 16 hr non stop flight. Very disappointed. I have pictures to show broken hand-rest and headphones."

Cons: "Worn out seats, dirty tray table and around seat, dirty rest rooms, impolite staff, horrible food , maps not working, headphones not working, not able to choose seats online."

Cons: "I was traveling from delhi to sfo with my grandparents and they required wheelchair assistant, it took me about 4 diff. counter to first to just find out where i can find wheelchairs for my family, air india crew at delhi are so rude!!!! they dont help you at all if your in need. It says "no tips please" on their shirts but there still asking you to give them tips but away from the camera so that they wont get caught!!!!! how ridiculus is that? When finally i checked in my luggage and finally found wheelchairs for my grandparents, the 2 men leave my grandparents near boarding gate and take both wheelchairs away!!!! They Said there will be other wheelchairs coming for them to board the plane... So now again i have to find 2 wheelchairs for them to board the plane! So damn stupid!!!!!! Lastly, the crew inside the flight was much more helpful and understanding but delhi crew needs alot of training and manners!"
Pros: "Nothing is good"
Cons: "Everything. This airlines delays the flights for a reason. If a flight is delayed the passenger will somehow struggle and argue with Air India to get an accommodation. Once the passenger reaches the mediocre hotel, which has already a deal with some person from Airlines, they basically are providing business to such hotels. All this show is put up at the expense of Travellers' time, money and energy. Never gonna travel with this airlines again. About 10 of us on the same day missed the connecting flight to British Airways BA138 because of 1.45 delay from Air India flight AI 51. We suggest British Airways not to show up this shitty airline along with their flights in the iternary."
Pros: "Turbulence, higher than usual, lasting for an hour at a stretch. Plane dipped in altitude suddenly more than a handful of times. Plane was about to land at SFO, pilot suddenly decided not to, with sudden and accelerated plane movements. A kid next to me was thrown half a foot from the seat. Following this when the plane landed it was continuously 'wobbling'. This kind of piloting is not expected of a long distance passenger aircraft. Lost my trust in Air India as a safe flight. Will highly not recommend Air India to family and friends."
Cons: "Flight number 174 going on 11th November from sfc was not that great . Servive was not good ,whole plane was stinted due to bad smell. People were having their drinks by themselves throwing cups alllover . Not a good experience."

Cons: "I had requested for vegan meal but they could not provide it. Plus, entertainment the system were not working well. No seat covered in the bathroom + the area close to the bathroom smelled like pee.."
