Reason: There are two queues 1 For people who did a web checkin 2 people who didn’t do a web checkin The Qatar staff at Hyderabad experienced a technical glitch because their only system failed and there was no backup option. There was no apology from any of the staff. No one values the time of the people who chose Qatar making it a very bad experience overall"

Pros: "My flight from Chicago to Doha was late to come in and there was a gate agent waiting for us and two other passengers with a sign when we got off the plane. He told us that our flight had already left but he would get us on the next one. We ended up getting seats on the next flight but then were also given the option to get a temporary visa and explore Doha for the night. We opted for the comped night which included a very nice hotel and $100 in meal vouchers. We absolutely LOVED Doha and the hotel and food was fantastic! I don't think I have ever received better service from an airline or a hotel. We ended up walking around Souq Waquif and the downtown until 1am (we are two young females!) with no issue and just used Uber to get to and from the hotel. Everything was so well laid out for us! No complaints whatsoever!"

How can such a reputed airline have no tools to calculate the pay? Other airlines offered one-way for half of the price i paid. On top of it, online helpdek promised front line seat to satisfy me but nothing was offered even if i ask explicitly. Simply declined saying i am not in priority list. Why do they make false promises? Friends, Just don't fly for food ....."

I understand they are trying to squeeze as much money out of their flights as possible but it was to the point of such severe discomfort that my right knee still hurts half a week later. The reason that it hurts so much is that there was a post through the right half of the leg room under my seat, which was already super limited to begin with. DO NOT GET A WINDOW SEAT, WHATEVER YOU DO. It was a 7 hour flight and I was SO MUCH PAIN. Horrific. The flight staff was rude. I will never fly Qatar again under ANY circumstances. I would rather travel months by boat, or even walk for years on end then go through that 7 hour experience. Qatar's cheapness lost them a customer!"

Pros: "Service and Care with sense of humor! I have sat in both business and economy, and while I prefer the room in business, I still feel the service is just as wonderful in economy. I got all I asked for including bubbly in economy! I like to stay awake on the way back to the US and asked for two coffee's and a bubbly, a ginger and an OJ just before dinner & refills on cafe. Of course I thought I was pushing it to ask for it all at once, but they laughed, proceeded to fill my wishes and with a good sense of humor asked If I wanted anything else! Cons: "I pre bought my seat and chose an aisle. The plane was changed and I ended up in a window seat within the same row I had chosen on the other plane lay out. I prefer the aisle as I like to get up a lot and hate to annoy others who may prefer not to get up every time I do. I was lucky that the flight had plenty of empty seats and was able to move to an aisle after asking. What happens on a full flight? I would have been really upset. What is the point of pre-booking one' s seat? If the plane is changed, BA ought to take care to make sure a pre-booked seat gets a window/aisle near the row they chose. I suspect that is more important than the row on a long flight."

Pros: "The flight itself went smoothly despite some windy conditions, and we were transported in one piece, without incident, from LHR to IAD. The crew members were pleasant in conversation and reasonable in frequency of food service. Once, when I pressed the attendant button, one of them came quickly to ask me what the problem was, and that kind of responsiveness is always a plus, in my opinion. The seats reclined a reasonable amount, not the mere 2-5 cm one sometimes experiences lately."
Cons: "The aircraft was aging at least a bit, and it was clear because my seat almost would not return to the upright position and stay there. Several times I tried to return it to upright as the end of the flight neared, and it would easily move but would return to reclined once I leaned back. It was as if I had been the whole time keeping my finger on the button that makes the seat movable. After I'd about given up, the seat finally stayed upright even when I put my weight back on it. My flight attendant misunderstood my drink request, but I let it go because the result was close to what I had asked for. It could have been that there was too much background noise - not sure."

Cons: "we didn't get a snack before landing we only got a drink. we were only given food at the beginning of the flight and it was an 8 hour flight. I was not able to change my flight for this trip had to do it at the counter; but the friend who i was traveling with did have the ability to do so. I went early to the airport in Johannesburg to ensure we could sit together but the workers in terminal A sent me to terminal B (even though they were closed and didn't open until 3) then i went to the ticketing desk and they said they couldn't' help me. so i ask them to call British Airways help desk (since i didn't have a phone internationally) and they said they were closed on the weekend. I wrote the gentleman's name down but i don't have it with me right now. I was finally able to get my seat changed when i checked in at 6pm; lucky there were seats available. I would say the customer service at Johannesburg airport for BA is terrible."

I'm only 5'4" 118lbs - I can't imagine how anyone bigger than me feels when they have to fly in the same situation."

WHen i told the attendant i was being "rained" on he said...i know its happening everywhere..... he said there was nothing he could do but get me paper towels...they never came. I was very annoyed getting off the plane walking back and forth....it was aweful. and my flight before this was no better i am VERY TURNED OFF BY AMERICAN AIRLINES RIGHT NOW."

Cons: "The gate was changed 1hr prior to boarding despite the arriving plane having landed 3hrs prior. So with stroller and infant in toe, I had to run to change terminals/buildings. There was no assistance or prior warning regarding this from the check in staff and I made it all the way to the original terminal and gate before having to turn around. The desk staff at the gate was asked about early boarding for infants and said it would be okay but didn’t give clear instructions on boarding so I sat down and they began boarding each group 20 minutes later and did not give priority to mother’s with infants. The stroller which I brought to the gate was then tagged incorrectly with a white tag instead of a pink tag. I was later told by he crew that it meant it would go directly to baggage claim instead of being brought to the door. According to the crew, all staff know to tag with a pink tag. At every step there was blatant display of inconsideration that made an already difficulty journey, that much more challenging."

Most MIA staff was very rude (this wasn't American's own staff, or TSA, I should note). Got middle seats but luckily was able to switch on one of the computer kiosks. Flight crew didn't seem to care that other people moved to the for-pay seats further up front (the flight wasn't full)... so why did we lose our seat assignments and get grief with not being able to select anything good? Pros: "I appreciated the interactive screen on the backseat, which provided me entertainment watching Doctor Who and playing Angry Birds. I also liked that the power outlet to charge my phone was more accessible on the backseat instead of below my seat, which is normally where I find it."

Cons: "Gate supervisor (male) in Dublin was unhelpful. He announced theee times that the US Customes pre-clearance would close shortly. This announcement was in the gate area where everyone had already had to have cleared the Preclearance US Customs. Then when he announced boarding for priority and Business class he "pointedly" told the zones 1 thru 4 to all begin boarding at once (w/ one agent while three agents stood behind chatting) and to only use the one Priority lane. Thirty people all gathered for the very slow process. The Gate Supervisor the says he would start boarding Zones 5 and 6 in the other lane. Zones 5 & 6 all boarded while I (zone 1 passenger) and five others were still in que boarding thru the priority lane. Poor leadership. The Business Class flight attendant while serving snack, spilled my hot tea on my shirt, trousers and iPad. She was very apologetic and said that she wished she had not filled the cup so full. The tea "happens" and was no big deal. The Gate agent on the microphone in Dublin was having a bad morning and transferred his unhappyness to me, which I did not bargain for on the 27th."

They boarded half of the plane and stopped when the pilots radioed in that there was a severe hydraulic fluid leak. Updates were supposed to happen every thirty minutes but more than three times they were longer than thirty minute intervals and at one point more than ninety minutes without an update. The representatives at the Chicago gate told us we were all set then the rest of the passengers boarded the plane. The pilot said they were waiting on maintenance paperwork to print off but then we waited an extra hour at the gate on board while we could still hear very loud tests of the hydraulic system. Once we finally left the gate and headed out on the runway for takeoff we stopped just before takeoff and the pilot said we were waiting on PAPERWORK AGAIN! This was another 30 minute delay and we finally took off. We were supposed to arrive home at 10:00pm and instead arrived at 3:00am..."

Never expected such quality on an international route. My suggestion to other travellers. Pack your own food especially for kids. Fully charge and download your own entertainment for your flight on ipad or laptop. Carry a sanitizer or perfume to get over the bad smelling cabin."
