There was a long delay on the tarmac, during which we had to pull back to the gate or to a maintenance area before we finally took off. When we arrived in Vegas there was no gate for us to pull into, which led to another long delay of an already long and delayed flight."

It was a tough spot for them and what Sun Country did to them was extremely unfair and unprofessional. These young men gave credit to the dispatcher at Sun Country who attempted to call up to the CEO, unfortunately he was not empowered enough to take care of the situation. Several star players here, but the team failed. Thanks to Waco Police and the staff at Whataburger for spinning up hundreds of meals in short order beyond the midnight hour. Thanks to KWTX, WFAA, KARE for picking up this story. Finally, to my fellow passengers, I'm sorry we all had to go through this, but to those who were kind, helping, and shed light on this event, thank you. God bless!"
Cons: "Our flight, Sun Country 550 from MSP to DFW diverted to Waco, TX. While unfortunate weather diverts happen, the airline failed to own the situation. The airline was ad hoc and did not have a plan to take care and comfort customers in an unfortunate event. With the lack of communication, I am concerned how this airline would respond in an elevated scenario. The pilot told us we had the option to deplane. After he stepped off, the flight attendant provided conflicting direction that we would all deplane and there was no option to deplane confusing passengers (crew coordination, who's in charge?). Maybe an hour later the plane and crew take off leaving all 150+ pax at what was essentially a closed terminal. Sun Country left no representation on the scene. (lack of leadership and communication). Local law enforcement and the general aviation terminal staff picked up where they could. Sun Country made valid statements with respect to FAA/TSA regulations, but they also blamed the local shuttle company for "not cooperating". The company repeatedly deflected ownership. With regards to ground transportation, we expected that it would arrive within a reasonable time (30 minutes) after deplaning. That turned into hours. I understand bus drivers have a certain fee for getting out of bed at 2AM. Sun Country, as some of us were getting a little stir crazy, I was able to call a local 24/7 hour limo service. They could be at the terminals in short order. For $750, we would get 1 limo, 22 pax from Waco to DFW. Speaking with them, moving 150 people was fairly simple. Sun Country, please try harder. For your new CEO, study this incident and you can see what you need to fix at your company. The most tragic thing I witnessed was a pregnant mother, with lap child experiencing morning sickness in front of everyone at the terminal. What angers me is no one from Sun Country was there to see or comfort her. Those people were in bed or unavailable. There were multiple failures here. In hindsight, it may have been better if the pilot refused Waco and requested Austin where there would have been TSA staff, a standby crew, or more reasonable accommodations. Sun Country could have some contingency contracts with local ground transit companies. There's a lot this airline can take in from this experience to improve themselves, let's hope they do. I would like some consideration for this terrible experience and if this airline cares about its image it should reach out to all flight passengers to apologize and get their feedback to so they don't muck it up again."

I don't really know why except the airport they said was busy and the plane couldn't come up to the gate. I have never experienced that before and we have flown Sun Country from DFW to MSP several times before. They don't even give peanuts or pretzels any more and all the other airlines do."

Pros: "The crew, flight, plane and ease of security and the airport were great! everything else basic."
Cons: "The spirit website was ridiculous to navigate and obviously on purpose. The spirit website is set up to take advantage of people and I will not be flying with them again. Water should always be offered and it wasn't. Also, the flight was delayed but not much like 20 minutes."

Pros: "The flights first appear cheap but after paying for your ticket they force you to pay for carry on, checked bag, and even seat. And while every other airline has a bag weight limit of 50, spirit is 40. And if you're over 40 pounds it's an extra $55! I have already posted on social media to never use spirit and explaining exactly everything that went well."
Cons: "It is hard to think of something that I actually liked about this flying experience. The price was ridiculously high, the person working the counter was not helpful, and my plane was old. I will never fly spirit again and I will make sure nobody I know flies spirit. Extremely disappointed."

Cons: "That there are inconsistencies between carry on sizes from DIA to Dallas. I was charged double to check my carry on even though its size was accepted through DIA. The only explanation for this that I got was "the Denver airport wasn't doing their job" by monitoring the size of the carry on and so ultimately it became my problem at the gate as well as a few others in the same situation being charged a ridiculous amount over what we should have for our bags. I hate the fact that this isn't a cash airline, there is little communication about checking bags, and essentially anything over the size of a backpack is super expensive to check. There are no complimentary items and based upon what I spent to check my bags, I could have probably gotten cheaper airfare with another airline because I would have gotten two free checked bags. I will probably never fly with spirit again unless all I am carrying is one small carry on, it's not worth it and ultimately was not competitively priced against other airlines because of this. Way too expensive for all the extra things which were not very well communicated. If I had known any of this before I booked my flight I would have gone with another airline it might have even been cheaper after paying for my bags both ways. This was my first and last experience with spirit."

Cons: "They charged me $55 for a CARRY ON. Just ridiculous. The lower ticket price doesn't excuse them nickel-and-diming you for every cent along the way. I ended up paying more for my bags than for my ticket. I've also heard multiple horrible stories about extremely long wait times due to Spirit understaffing the check-in desk. I will never fly Spirit again."

Cons: "Seats are extra small for width and leg room. Tray table measures only 10 inches by 5 inches...if that. I was freezing the whole time with hands on and vents closed. It might of been cheaper to check my bag then have it as a carry on."
Cons: "Maybe I was sleeping. I didn't get any snacks, and no other people was having snacks also. So I guess, no snacks and drinks. On my seat, I didn't even find a magazine. It was hard just sitting there and doing nothing. Moreover, I had a flight with United Airline (or American Airline maybe), they only charge 35USD for each bag delivery. But Spirit charged me for 50USD."

Cons: "That I felt stressed to have the perfect bag for boarding, to not bother anyone...that all their rules were different regarding size of a personal bag...the weight of a bag that was checked..and that if for some reason I had to check a bag at the airport it was twice as much and the fact they want to charge you for checking in at the airport... seems cheap at first...READ all the small print...they also found comedy in telling us if we liked luxury and good customer service we were flying the wrong airline!"
