Pros: "This review is for return travel from ATL to MAA (Chennai, India) and back. Route: ATL-DOH: about 14.5 hrs; DOH-MAA: about 4.5 hrs; Likes: 1. Baggage check-in process was simple and easy. 2. Meal preferences was good - I'm a vegetarian and on the onward journey forgot to specify the meal preference but the crew had enough inventory to meat the requirements. 3. Every seat was provided with a small plastic pouch/packet/goodie bag that consisted of a eye mask (very thoughtful), pair of sock, toothpaste+brush (very thoughtful), hand cream. This was very useful and effective. 4. Entertainment - options were good and current."
Cons: "Dislikes: 1. Online check-in wasnt easy; towards the end of the process, there is an option to email the boarding pass but this never worked. Not sure if this is something to do with the browser (tried with Firefox, Opera) 2. It would have been good, as part of the online check-in, if the users reminded to specify the meal preferences, etc. I forgot to specify the meal preferences but thankfully the crew had enough of what I wanted. 3. Take a relook at the packaging of the toothpaste tube in the goodie bag. It was sealed in such a way that it was difficult to open it w/o a sharp object. This should have been easier. 4. Seats were the worst part - poor legroom. Worst, the seat cushion is the worst. I think it was just a fabric over a metal seat with minimalist of cushion. ATL to DOH leg was the worst (and the longest leg of the trip). Unless you have open seats next to you it would be a back breaking and painful trip. Seat comfort wise, I would rate Qatar as the worst. Luckily on the return leg (DOH-ATL) next two seats to mine was empty, so was able to stretch and sleep well. DOH-MAA or MAA-DOH seating was little better (think its a older plane; newer planes have worst seats) 5. The website was damn slow while accessing from overseas. Even in the US, at times the website hangs-up, freezes or spins often. 6. Food was ok -dinner and lunch but minimalistic; I didnt see any specific breakfast menu or any coffee served separately (was part of beverage option during lunch or dinner) 7. There was no alert, communication, notification, reminder of upcoming trip via email or text, etc. Many airlines does this very often but Qatar was totally silent on it (they did have my email during checkin). Not sure why."

Cons: "I slashed my finger fairly painfully on a toilet door while pushing it from the outside to open it on the Dubai to Cape Town flight [again, an upgrade on my home flight which is a bucket list dream would more than make up for that!] which i pointed out to a flight attendant and they took note of it and bandaged me up so it was dealt with well but hopefully that gets sorted out [she said she would write a report] cos it did unfortunately affect the rest of my flight a little... And so many crying babies [thankful for volume control on headphones] but literally that was it - love flying Emirates cos on the whole felt super well treated..."

Kiamaria even got text of address in WY where 2 suitcases should have gone. All 4 suitcases were sent to NJ and arrived at 9pm. more phone calls. this time Rachel helped with fedex labels unfortunately more problems as fedex said no barcode and we had to go to fedex office and finally they took care of it so many hours wasted, not to mention the anxiety and frustratioon How are you going to reimburse all this ????"

I reached airport 4 hours before departure and I get treated like this, horrible service."

When we got thru immigration in record time due to the newly installed kiosks, we waited for 2.5hours to get our luggage, there was only one carousel open for an entire A380 airplane with all its luggage and the boxes were piling up on each other, some of them were crushed due to overloading, it took them 2 hours to open a second carousel to offload all of the bags. During this entire time, the Emirates representatives were unhelpful, the local SFO personnel were quite disorganized as well."

Pros: "The food, beverages and choices of movies, entertainment There was a medical emergency that caused the flight to land in Canada. This was handled very professionally - I hope the passenger ended up getting the care needed and is doing well."

Cons: "Everything. AF changed seats without authorization or notification, separating a mother from her 3 year old daughter. Their entire attitude was "nothing to be done, now board plane and leave" no compensation was offered, nothing done to remedy their mistake or rude behavior and treatment"

Cons: "Downgrade without notice or consent separating family. Paid full fare for family to travel business class together. AF without our knowledge downgraded one member, separating a mother from her 3 year old daughter. They offered no compensation, no apology, and CDG ground crew was terribly rude. All anyone said was, nothing to be done, now please Leave"

Pros: "movies were great, watched a lot of them food, while nothing to write home about, was at least tasty and not inedible the staff was great, friendly, welcoming, hard working loved that we could have wine and snacks"
Cons: "we had paid for the exit row and had a luxurious amount of room. But when we tried to sleep, our fellow passengers came and stood at our feet and talked so loudly that we could not possibly sleep. They stayed there for more than an hour. Would have loved for the staff to maybe ask them to tone it down, if not move."

Pros: "Air France is the worst company I have ever flown with. They changed our seats last minute. They where late both flights. Not worth the stress if your layovers are short. Also they took my passport with no explanation of why into another room with out my permission."

Cons: "Haha where do I start. The experience overall was poor. One of my flights was canceled by British and they claimed I cancelled it. It was a hot mess all the way around. This left we standing outside the airport in Indi for nearly an hour."

Pros: "Crew was nice and food was decent. The seats were also as comfortable as they can be when you’re in them for 11 hours. It was also kinda fun that they came around with ice cream (never had his before)"
Cons: "We had just a double seat but the center divide only went up half way, wouldn’t go all the way up. Since I was flying with my husband this was disappointing. They also didn’t make many beverage trips considering this was a 11 hour flight a little surprising since we had a 6 hour one that brought drinks more than this one. Also stingy on the drink size so it was disappointing to set less and then come around 1/2 as much."

Pros: "Six years ago, after a very bad experience with this airline, I swore never to use BA again. However, this year, because of my children, I found myself on this airline again and had a very positive experience. The flight was on time, luggage was transferred without a hitch, the food was excellent and in-flight entertainment had a great variety to choose from. The 747 provided a very steady flight experience. Personnel were reasonably helpful. Continue this kind of service - it will help you remain successful."

Cons: "Boarding via bus to plane was an added hassle The cabin temperature throughout flight was uncomfortably cold On each trip I have made with BA ( 6 in last year USA to U.K. and Spain) lack of overhead luggage space is always an issue. I paid 65 pounds for an extra check-on small suitcase, yet I couldn’t even put a small holdall in overhead because others had whole suitcases in there. This needs to be re-evaluated!"

Therefore we waited in the airport all night because neither British airways or American Airlines would help us We waited here all night with no sleep no one would give us a hotel or a meal we have now will be getting into London 24 hours later than planned and we will be out about $1000 in hotels in two hours we had booked that were non-cancelable . Multiple phone calls to British airline Waze and to American Airlines for all of the helpful"

Cons: "The BA ticket counter did not open early enough with enough staff to get all passengers checked in time. As such, the plane was delayed and we missed this connecting flight. Other people were in the same boat. We had no chance to make our connection but others did. While the flight crew offered weak apologies advising they had no control, they made no effort to help connecting passengers in ways the could control. Such as asking all passengers to remain seated allowing connecting passengers off the plane first. Something I've seen done on many other airlines numerous times."

Pros: "1. MAA - Boarding - grouping should have been more professional"
Cons: "1. I had filled up API information & am an Executive club member. My India contact number is available on record. In spite of that I did not get SMS about flight ETD details or alert. 2. First meal was served about 1 hour after departure, which is Ok. The second meal was served after 8 hours, towards end of flight. 3. BA 36 takes off at ETD 05.30 & travels east. It is always day time as it flies."

Pros: "This was my first time on an Airbus A380 and I must say that I'm still in awe of how an aircraft this large can be so quiet and smooth, let alone get in the air. Boarding was smooth. Entertainment was great and the food (depending on what you got) was okay. The inflight crew was nice and helpful."
Cons: "Economy seats are very uncomfortable. I am 6'4 and there isn't that much space. It's even worse when you have a kid sitting in front with his seat reclined all the way back - so the little room I had to start with became even worse. Not to mention he kept rocking his chair back in forth, passed gas about 5 times, felt the need to stretch his arm behind him 3 times so his hand was blocking my screen. I really never got comfortable in my seat during the 11 hour flight. For a plane this large, i would of expected a little bit more comfort, especially when I felt it on AA 777"

Pros: "The food and entertainment met our expectations. The crew was attentive and provided good service throughout our flight."
Cons: "I prepaid for 3 seats in the front row of a coach section according to the diagram provided when I paid $75 per seat to reserve them. If I had known we would be placed back a row and not able to be more comfortable I would not have paid that fee. I do feel as though I was scammed for the $225 for reserving the seats."

They all seemed to get along really well with one another and that set the tone for a long but comfortable flight. It's probably one of the most memorable of all my flights b/c the experiences."

Pros: "-Crew was very attentive to the passenger who needed medical attention. -Captain spoke clearly and slowly. All crew members were very professional. -Cleaner and bigger WC rooms than most planes I've been on which is always a plus."
Cons: "-Food was mostly bland (e.g. vegetarian lasagna), overly seasoned (e.g. caramel/chocolate pudding dessert) or just not quite good (e.g. cole slaw). Lots of room for improvement here. Thank goodness I'd packed some snacks while we were still in Barcelona. -The earbuds wasn't very good in comparison to other in-flight earbuds I've used from other airlines. Sometimes staticky, noise cancellation was low, and wasn't as comfortable to wear."
