The security part at Madras airport was horrible. There was no separate queue for business class, and i almost missed my flight due to the delay in security clearance

My connecting International was Qatar and allowing 15kg Carry, Vistara allowed 12.5kg only and made me throw 1 KG plus from my checkin too. Ordered Veg And Available option was Hyd Biryani and got some lemon rice with bad curry and dal.
Vistara had wrong information about the required pcr test I needed to transit Dubai. This cost me much stress and $40. Other than that, great experience on both airlines.
On landing, we had to wait for the bus while most of the aerobridges were empty. Bad experience

Cabin temperature was too low and uncomfortable
The trip was booked on a Premium Economy, I was moved to standard economy with no compensation. When I boarded the flight crew had already made someone else sit in my place who were reluctant to give me my seat. Quite a few people were found not wearing masks and crew did nothing about it. No choice of food in spite of me with a standard economy ticket that includes the option of food.
Pathetic ground staff and customer care. I paid for an upgrade 3 weeks before the journey, and I was downgraded with no reason.
No Food, No beverages, only water, and there is no information about this sudden change
Comfort and safety. At least packaged food could be served to Business Class passengers.

Boarding was NOT good enough. Our cabin luggage was pushed back to check-in in the pretext of packed flight. But eventually there were empty seats on the flight. Also, we booked seats on exit rows... But seems something got changed and we got same seats alright, but they were no longer on exit row (& that was empty eventually). Flight claimed to have a travel time of 1 hour 50 minutes, but it took around 2:20 minutes (seems Indigo has a different clock). 😂
Bag check is not as smooth as can be at CST Terminal 2. Passengers are advised to print out and attach boarding passes at home in a bid to avoid crowding at self-service kiosks given the Covid-19 public health crisis. However attendants then say tags need to be re-printed at the counter as the ones provided by the airline at the airport are more secure. While the check-in process is aided by the helpful staff, Indigo Airlines could do a better job of providing more self-service kiosks and clearer guidance during the online purchase process. Suggest calling ahead to confirm situation on the ground.

There were a myriad of problems many of which I posted on SpiceJet tweeter handle: * mobile boarding pass printed without qr/ bar code - tweeted airline support team for 2 days, no response. * unregistered my QR frequent flyer to the online check-in, information was not reflective anywhere- now the miles are missing. * return flight had 2 consecutive delays, electronic message prompts stated it as technical delay. No staff engagement at boarding gate, no announcements at airport. * the boarding gate podium remained unattended for most parts - no one to inquire or assure - very disappointing * I tweeted airline handle again and received a response this time - their marketing line, "no one plans on a delay..." some of us tra eling professionals do know that. * requested engagement and assurance from staff at boarding gate as flight was behind 2hrs30mins. No food, water, conversation, customer service was on offer even as a gesture. * finally a snack pack arrived - again extremely scrambled an approach during distribution - no announcements were made to keep people from congregating around the boarding podium amid covid times. * I objected and was told we haven't invited anyone bit failed to understand the argument that nothing is being communicated from the airline, ergo the confusion and the bottle beck * even if SpiceJet eventually embraced a gesture to retain goodwill the execution literally soiled the intent. * the aircraft for 8254 DEL/KOL was perhaps sat in the hangar for ages; filthy, loosened spares, accessories, fittings, the screen frames hanging loose, the chair recline buttons missing, the overhead luggage bins cracked, separation panel hanging lose - unsure how safe was it to fly the plane and was certainly happy the cockpit crew concluded a safe landing. Not impressed with SpiceJet overall ownership and customer experience skills at all. If there is a negative score below POOR, that's what they deserve. Customers cannot be expected to read operator mind or intentions, it's the execution that counts and Spicejet were certainly rookies last eve.

Based on this experience I would definitely fly with Spicejet again."

Cons: "I was disappointed to first learn that my flight booking did not include ANY checked bags. It was not shown in any fare comparisons. So I again logged in with KIWI.com and added one checked bags for equivalent of Rupees 400 for the flight. When I was checking in for the flight that, the agent told me that they have no record of my paying the baggage fee, I showed him the receipt that showed the inclusion of check baggage. He was rude, refused to call the manager and I had to pay another 400 rupees in cash. I want KIWI or you to refund my baggage fee paid by my credit card or I will take up the case with my credit card company, I will not recommend any one to do business with both KIWI.com and Spicejet.."
Pros: "Not a lot. . They served drinks but 15 mins before landing when pilot was about to start his landing announcement. The crew did try hard though."

I went online there was no option to rebook. Sent an e-mail with booking ref for date change agreeing to even pay fare difference, no reply received from Air India. Pathetic service"

Cons: "The plane was 4 hrs 30 mins late. Air India did not inform us what was going on. It is unacceptable that a flight would be delayed like this on a day with normal weather and between two major cities. One more reason to privatize it."

Cons: "Air India didnt let me on the plane from Bagdogra to Delhi saying I was late eventhough I arrived 1h15mn earlier. I had to purchase a new ticket on Jet Airways to Delhi. Once in Delhi Air India refused to let me on the plane to Dubai saying because I didnt use the Bagdogra - Delhi ticket - and asked me to re-purchase a new ticket! what a joke Air India is!"

Suggest taking your luggage to departure level and using the regular system. Also, no entertainment system on some flights."

Cons: "Nothing works on this flight. I traveled with a 4 month old and was given a faulty bassinet. In fact they forgot it give me the bassinet and when asked told me that wait till your baby sleeps and we shall give you the bassinet then. The good was terrible. Co-passengers traveling with babies were not even given infant meals. The toilets were dirty right at the onset. Te crew was deplorable. Air India doesn't deserve to be in business."

Cons: "Plane was extremely run down and dirty. There was dust and dirt on the windows and cabin panels, and the seat back entertainment was falling off of the chair in front of us. The bathrooms look like they haven't been cleaned ever. It generally felt like Air India does not maintain their aircraft, which makes me wonder if they do their safety maintenance on time as well. In addition, after we had taxied to the runway and were about to take off, the pilot suddenly returned to the gate because "something looked wrong." All of that adds to the feeling that this airline does not do proper maintenance."
Cons: "I flew air india 3 times this trip. All flights were late or postponed (5 hours in one case, 2 in the others). Crew were unfriendly and in one case rude, planes are old and uncomfortable, no safety briefing on one flight. The airline is unprofessional and generally miserable"
