Pros: The staff was nice and helpful, the butler ironed my shirts, breakfast was made the way I like and delivered to my room. The room was large, a bit worn but very nice. A very pleasant surprise for the price. I would go again, we enjoyed it very much.

Pros: newly renovated with modern decor. Extremely well equipped with washer/dryer, dishwasher, did player, etc. Clothes detergent provided. Location is excellent with tons of shopping and restaurants nearby.
Cons: Bed was small for a 1 bedroom apartment.
Pros: Great location: close to the sights and restaurants. Quick walk from the train station.
Cons: Room smelled like cigarettes and no air conditioning.
Located in New Town, this apartment is within a 10-minute walk of Charlotte Square and Princes Street Gardens. Edinburgh Castle and Scott Monument are also within 15 minutes.
Pros: Great location, superb interior design of the room. Very modern style
Cons: In-hotel gym was temporarely out of service bu the hotel offered a free entry at a partner gym
Pros: The room
Cons: There was a refurb going on so had to put up with constant drilling was not relaxing
Pros: Old world charm meets modern amenities- you can't go wrong with this hotel right on the royal mike in Edinburgh. Excellent staff, well maintained rooms, and full service. Health club has good assortment of machines and free weights.
Cons: It's bloody cloudy in Scotland- spent an entire week and didn't see the sun once.
Pros: Breakfast was amazing! Staff were very helpful and hospitality was good
Cons: The fridges were dirty and the carpets could do with new ones
2016/2017 TripAdvisor Hall of Fame-Certificate of Excellence The Radisson Blu Hotel, Edinburgh has been sympathetically designed to blend in with its' historic neighbours. Behind the stunning 16th century exterior there lies a modern hotel with comfortable and well-equipped accommodation and a range of nine conference and banqueting rooms catering for up to 200 delegates. The hotel is popular with both business and leisure travellers as its' central location places it within easy walking distances of the main business, shopping and tourist areas.
Pros: A very centrally located hotel with a freindly and helpful staff. The room was of a fair size with all you would expect of a hotel of this standing.
Cons: Although the room was finely furnished the room lighting was poor.
Pros: Location. Friendly Staff. The new bar/restaurant area looks good however the only downside is the seating area near the bar soon filled up and even though there were empty tables on the lower floor level there seemed to be a reluctance to give these to guests who just wanted a drink.
Cons: The reception area is still going through refurbishment which meant long queues soon began to build up when guests began arriving in numbers which was an inconvenience to be honest. No doubt this will be resolved when the work is completed.
Pros: Location, cleanliness and the staff who welcomed at door. They have a great manner and seem genuinely want to please guests.
Cons: Reception staff need much more warmth, smile more and actually treat people as such. Rooms clean bu quite small for price - felt a little cramped at time.
Pros: Clean and comfortable. Good breakfast.
Cons: Got bait and switched. Upon checkin was told that breakfast was included with the prepaid reservation. Great! Upon checkout was informed I owed something like £60 for breakfast. Tried to argue my case but had a train to catch and ended up with a "discount" to £40. Extremely shady. Will let my CC company take care of this.
Cons: There was no air conditioner in the room. The room I got was in the basement close to a very noisy load and unload area. Eventhough they had better rooms available, they asked me for extra payment in case I wanted a different room.
Pros: Location and reception areas were great.
Cons: Room was terrible. Really hot. Could not open window and AC not working. Staff unwilling to help.

Pros: This is the 2nd time I have stayed at Fraser Suites. I love the location right off the Royal Mile and right above Princes Street. Easy access to everything.
Cons: The bed was a bit firm and aggravated my sciatica. And the tub was higher than normal or I am short!!!
Pros: My wife and I got married in Edinburgh, and we stayed at the Fraser Suites. It's in an excellent location, just a few steps from the Royal Mile and a 10 minute walk from Waverly railway station. We had flowers delivered to the hotel while we took the train up from London; we called in advance the night before and the staff had no difficulties with dealing with the flowers; they were waiting in our room when we arrived. We booked a junior suite, which was nice; it has a living room with a little wet bar, and a bedroom with en suite. The room had tall ceilings, nice finishes in the bathroom, huge windows to let in lots of light; we really had the impression of being at a top-end hotel. Staff were professional and friendly. No hitches in checking in or out or with housekeeping. We wish we could have stayed longer!
Cons: As nice a time as we had at this hotel, we did have two minor complaints: once, there was some mould in the tile grout in the tub surround and the caulk joint between the surround and the tub itself, which was a blemish on an otherwise great room. A somewhat bigger problem was that it was windy (hotel can't do anything about that, of course), and this is an older building with older windows; the windows rattled pretty badly at night, and I'm a light sleeper, so this kept me up. Had we stayed longer, I might have raised the issue with the front desk, and it might have been possible to fix the problem by just sticking a coin in the window frame, but it did spoil the experience somewhat.
Pros: The shower
Cons: Noise from the neighboring business disturbed us all night. Room was in the "daylight" basement; small and closed in. Staff was condescending.
Pros: Appeared recently updated. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great location close to the train station and right off the Royal Mile. Large elevator. Bathroom very nice.
Cons: Bathroom shower did not have any kind of shelf for shampoo, facecloth, etc. No where but the floor to put anything. Safe did not work, but maintenance replaced it sometime our first day. Sliding doors for closet and refrigerator, microwave area did not work. Very difficult to move doors. They ground off aluminum off the track when moving doors. All of the lights in the room were either all off or all on. Window would not close all the way.

Additional amenities include work desks, laptop-compatible safes, telephones with voice mail, complimentary bottled water, and irons with boards; bathrooms have rainfall showers, hair dryers, and designer toiletries.
Pros: The grandeur, the comfort, the facilities, the location, the staff.
Cons: The leisure complex is a little tired, but pleasant nonetheless!
Pros: The location of the hotel was good
Cons: Hilton are using there brand to sell below standard rooms. I would never stay here again
Pros: Spacious rooms and vaulted ceilings. Extremely comfortable beds and wonderful views of the city.
Cons: Sloppy paint job in the room. The shower drain was clogged and the shower floor was very slick and dangerous. Easy fixes though to bring the room up to speed.

Pros: Location was outstanding
Cons: Very small room and bathroom
Pros: we liked the hotel, very clean and it was a nice size room, staff were fantastic and very friendly.we would stay there again.
Cons: we did not like the noise from the street, it was very, very noisy up to 5.00 am in the morning, people coming from a bar across the street. I can not explain how loud it was, I no it was not the hotels fault
walking distance to everywhere
Pros: excellent position nice staff good breakfast
Cons: modern and clear
Cons: The road in front was missing some bricks and I almost broke my ankle.

Pros: the location it was right in the middle of nearly everything we went to go and see. It was also right next to the train station which is how we arrived.
Cons: the cold shower on Saturday and Sunday that was not fun. If you are going to charge premium price than it better be a premium hotel. It certainly not a 4 star hotel given the maintenance of their equipment.
They need to replace the boiler, I heard it was not the first time they only had cold showers

Pros: Love the location. Just out of the city but still conveniently located. Car access easy but not sure about bus/mass transit to and from the city
Cons: No lifts (but what can one expect with a 130+ year old hotel).
The Best Western Braid Hills Hotel is a wonderful place to stay in Edinburgh, which enjoys a delightful, elevated vantage point overlooking the city. Just 2.5 miles from the city center itself, you’ll be in the enviable position of having its many attractions nearby, whilst being away from all the hustle and bustle. This traditional Edinburgh hotel also has ample free parking and sits on a main bus route to the city center. In addition to the breathtaking views of Edinburgh Castle, Arthur’s Seat and the Firth of Forth, you’ll be within easy reach of the city’s other beauty spots. Just a short trip away, you can find iconic attractions like Holyrood Palace and the Royal Yacht Britannia. You’ll also be able to take in Princes Street Gardens, top class museums and plenty of shops at the heart of Edinburgh. It’s also a city where there is always a festival happening – and not just the world-renowned comedy festival in late summer. This is just one of the reasons why Edinburgh is the cultural jewel in Scotland’s crown. The capital is a great place to explore other parts of Scotland, with its excellent road and rail links. From the hilltop position of the Best Western Braid Hills Hotel, you can see all it has to offer. Please note: Hotel ground floor rooms are only accessible by stairs.
Cons: Looking a bit tired. Desk in room had big scratch on it. Also, on a previous stay breakfast was on the top floor which was lovely. This time we were in the lower part of the ground floor restaurant. The continental breakfast choice was quite poor considering the price. The toast was merely warmed up bread and coffee wasn't particularly hot. My elderly parents in their 80s, who were also staying, were unable to shower as they couldn't get in or out of the very steep sided bath.
Pros: Conveniently located in the Grassmarket district of Edinburgh within a very easy walk of several excellent restaurants and pubs, this hotel has an excellent view of the Old Town and the castle, which is only a few minutes away by foot. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the bar staff provided ice for no extra charge.
Pros: Lovely comfortable hotel with great views close to everything
