Cons: "The Cancun airport provides a terrible experience for transferring between flights, especially if you need to change from the international terminal to a domestic terminal or vice-versa. There is no way to get between terminals inside security and the free shuttle is slow and overcrowded. Meanwhile, one is forced to run a gauntlet of taxi and shuttle drivers trying to get you to pay them exorbitant fees to drive you to your terminal. Once you finally arrive you discover that there is no dedicated baggage recheck for an international arrival. Just don't buy a ticket that transfers in CUN."

This was all totaled 2.5 hours on the Tarmac. Finally, some 5 hours late we departed Miami in a different plane. Upon arrival in Phoenix, the captain wearily announced that there was no ground crew awaiting us, so we had to wait some time on the tarmac there to disembark. Never before had I heard a airline captain encourage the passengers to write a letter of complaint to his employer."

The flight attendants were blatantly rude and would sit right in front of us and openly talk badly about the passengers. One of the flight attendants walked by and literally just grabbed my drink out of my hand and took it. There was only one flight attendant who was actually pleasant and polite to everyone and her name was Kate. The other flight attendants were just rude and abrasive to everyone and basically would mock people who did not speak English as their primary language. We were both treated okay but I was truly appalled with the way they spoke to some of the other passengers."

And the flight attendants had the typical U.S. flight attendant perma-rage, of course. I feel sorry for them, underpaid and overworked, but always p***ed off. Anerican Airlines needs to look at Emirates and other non-U.S. carriers to learn how to treat their passengers."

Can’t remember the gentleman’ Name but he confirmed the following that I am allowed 1 carry on since I am on the mileage plus and I have to pay my other baggage which I did online. My carry on is smaller than the usual carry on’s Standard yet they didn’t allow it at the United check in luggages and made me pay another $40. They allowed so many other passengers with lots of stuff and bigger carry on . It is all shown on your surveillance cameras and recorded on your customer services phone calls. I don’t know why I was treated and discriminated like that. I felt bad and humiliated about this incident."

Cons: "Delay after delay. Took way too long for de-icing. The storage compartmemt door got stuck and I could not get my bag out. The flight attendant blamed the issue on my bag. She claimed it was too big. It was not. I have carried the bag on several flights with similar planes, the gate agent slowed it on the plane as many have, and I had no issue opening and closing other compartment as I tried a couple after maintenance retrieved my bag."
Pros: "Again expectation can get in the way. And of course the airline needs for flights to be as full as possible. In order to be profitable in the long run. We all want them to be able to stay in business"

There wasn’t much room for my wheeled carry on but I did find a spot. On the Akron flight there was no room for wheeled carry on. We had to wait outside for them to get off the last minute carry on."

Pros: "Even with a nearly hour delay to switch planes, the captain and crew were very good at keeping people informed of the situation. The plane we were supposed to be on was having mechanical issues and rather than waiting until we were boarded and sitting on the plane until the issues were resolved (which coincidentally happened on my earlier flight for 1.5 hrs) the stopped boarding, which made a bad situation a little less crummy."

Pros: "Friendly crew, easy, quick boarding. I had gate checked my bag. Upon arrival, it wasn't brought up with the others. A ground crewman said he would find it. After a few minutes he returned with my bag, thanked him profusely, he saved the day for United"
