At one point during the flight once everyone had their chairs reclined one hostess told me to not put mine so far back?!?! Then when asked well then person in front of me has to move theirs forward and her response no they don’t. Absolutely shocking. To think I wanted to upgrade to business class. I’m traveling the globe over the next year and thought let me try Qatar but never again with this type of service and how they treat their customers."

They said that they have to charge me a $615 penalty on top of the $750 i had payed for the ticket for cancellation. They mentioned that ill be refunded my $750 from qatar as they got a waiver for me. I received $250 from qatar airways and nothing yet. Airfare's customer service staff is highly uncooperative and v rude"

Cons: "1. Food - It was not that great, especially if you are allergic to cold. It applies to asthmatic patients like me. You have very limited choices. The only hot item in my whole tray was "chicken mixed rice". Everything else from yoghurt to fruits went waste. Can we have HOT FOODS for people like me? 2. Flight Attendants - It seemed that the flight attendants were not so experienced at handling customers. Plus, several of them had poor English. That would have been okay if they had patience to listen to me slowly. But, they seemed to be in hurry and not wait enough to understand my request properly. I was asking HOT WATER and they were repeatedly handing me COLD WATER. Plus, they could see me breathing heavily and feeling great discomfort. Nobody asked me 'ARE YOU OKAY?". It seemed, they didn't care for customers like me. I found a serious lack of CUSTOMER RESPONSIVENESS, forget PRO-ACTIVENESS among several flight attendants. Finally, I found an example of SNOBBERY in the plane. A flight attendant was asking a couple sitting next to me to fill up the FEEDBACK FORM. They looked like from Middle East but were British citizens. They didn't talk to me even though I volunteered at frist to introduce myself. The lady was especially rude to me. They were dressed like high class folks. That's it. They neither represented the hundreds of passengers, especially Indians, in the Economy Cabin, nor were they friendly to fellow passengers. It left me with a feeling that Qatar Airways attendants were judging a book by cover and asking the wrong persons to fill the form who didn't really represent their majority customers for that cabin."

Pros: "My flight left on time and from the moment I was greeted upon entering the A380 Airbus, I knew I was in for something very special. As prepared for departure, blankets and pillows were distributed amongst the passengers. Once in flight, dinner and in the morning, breakfast. And, throughout the night, the flight attendants attended to passenger requests for beverages and snacks. The plane was clean and, maybe I need to compliment my fellow passengers also, for the washrooms were clean and well maintained. We arrived on time and the trip seemed rather short with the entertainment of movies, news and inflight updates. Everyone was packed in. Boarding felt chaotic. Staff did their best. Food was not as good as on some Emirates flights I've been on. However, it was over quickly. No harm done. Flying can be delightful. Or not. And Emirates seems to handle those days when "not" pretty well."

I also felt that the crew in this section weren't friendly. I know it was an extremely busy flight but there wasn't much eye contact with the some of the crew, I felt that the stewards (men) were the least friendly."

The crew didn't seem that familiar with the types on offer, ie savignon blanc, chardonnay etc. They just handed you the wine and hoped it would be ok. I felt for such a long flight the crew could have announced that if anyone would like extra snax or drinks then feel free to call a member of the crew or even go to the kitchen and ask. Wifi was offered on the flight but it wasn't explained how to use it so I didn't have this facility as I couldn't connect! Once we asked it was explained but I still wasn't able to connect. Would be helpful if this could be explained / announced to the passengers."

Airport experience at both MXP and JFK was excellent.. attentive, efficient ground staff- as were aircrews on both our flights with Emirates. Top class, attentive.. really enjoyed the flight. Cons: "I was assigned a window seat. I asked an agent if I could get an isle seat because I am a little claustrophobic. She said yes, and gave me 24D. Great, but I was annoyed and upset that she did not warn me that it was a front seat, with now place to put my personal bag. The wife of the guy next to me was 10 seats away, so I found an isle seat at the back of the aircraft and moved, so she could be with her husband. It all worked out okay, but the agent should have been more informative and have offered the option of that rear seat. It's not nice to be sneaky."

This in turn causes no breakfast or lunch or dinner opportunities. I travel with snacks in my bag at all times now just in case so I won’t get sick for lack of nourishment or water! This last flight I missed my connection altogether and had to take a shuttle home, then catch a ride back to the airport to pick up my luggage and then get my car to drive home. It was 4 hours past my expected time home."

I turned around and walked away to avoid conflict. He was being overly dramatic and completely rude and several people clapped when I responded"

Cons: "The flight out of RNO early in the morning was chaotic. One of the kiosks was down and the line to self-check was long and moved very slowly because there was only one agent behind the self-check baggage drop. She did well keeping up but there was a long line of unhappy customers due to the long wait. No snack was offered but I did get a glass of water. Not enough overhead storage for the carry-on bags because passengers get the luggage check tag but brought the carry-on onboard anyway."
Pros: "I feel like there is more leg room in the seats then in other discount airlines! I like the snack and drink, this breaks up the flight a bit. This is nice for me because I don’t like to fly."

And try to explain that to my kids-ages 9 and 10-who had NEVER flown a plane without individual screens (and my son has been already to 20 countries....yes, we fly.) The flight attendant gave me ginger ale and pretzels and let me sit in the back so i didn't have to go back and forth. The other flight attendant had aroma therapy that helped a lot but i was just too freaked out. Those two made the flight as nice as possible."

Then the lady told me that my warranty on the bag will cover the damage. It was obvious she was not willing to help and did not have a clue what she was doing thus I just logged the complaint and had by suitcase sorted out the San Francisco Airport. They were very helpful."

As some of us where desperate to make a tight connection in SF, focusing on getting people on board and the plane off the ground should have been the crew focus."
