This caused me to miss my connecting flight, which stranded me at JFK because they only had one flight per day to my destination. JetBlue's customer service told me I could not reach my destination until the next day, which was unacceptable (I had a morning interview). In fact, the only thing they said they could do was *PARTIALLY* refund my ticket, even though they stranded me in a completely different city. They also said I would "be able to" book a new flight with a different carrier, which cost roughly $400, using my own money. In the end, I spent about an hour talking with customer service until they were "nice enough" to do a partial refund with an additional credit equaling the remainder of my $400 ticket to fly with them in the future. It was still a very poor interaction with customer service."

The flight attendants rushed through the pre-flight announcents and I could only understand about 60% of it due to speed, volume and accent. Despite asking me for my drink order, it never came...and I only heard a few soda cans pop open at all. Did they just decide not to serve us? She even gave me a napkin for it. Luckily when they put the snack basket in front of me, there was a tiny bottle of water, which I grabbed...little did I know, that was all I would get. The flight attendants were just tapping in the back of the plane the rest of the flight. They didn’t even bother collecting garbage until we were on final approach. They also never did the normal checks before landing."

He neither said yes nor no, but rather completely ignored what I said and just poured my drink and moved on. I was a mildly annoyed, but figured maybe it was policy and he was shy and didn't want to debate the matter. When he took care of the older couple behind us, however, things got really strange. He asked them whether they wanted pretzels or peanuts, but they misheard him and asked for a ginger ale. I happened to know that he did have ginger ale, since my wife had just gotten one, but rather than just pouring the old folks a drink, he repeated himself. "Peanuts or pretzels?" They misheard again and asked him whether he had a diet ginger ale. Again, rather than just pour them the drink, he repeated himself. "Peanuts or pretzels?" This went round and round a few more times -- like a poorly designed computer UI that refuses to accept anything except the correct input -- before the old couple finally figured out the disconnect and picked their snacks before their drinks. Very weird."

When speaking on phone with agent, I was told it wasn't due to weather but incident at LaGuardia where plane went off runway. I paid $130.00 for 5 hours in a hotel, due to pilot error, not weather. La Guardia opened it's other runway immediately after and other airports in NewYork were running fine. Completely unacceptable and extremely bad customer service as CSR simply told us "sorry we can't help". Will never book with West Jet again."

So there was no record of her on the flight to Chicago which led to the rest of her trip being cancelled. Fortunately the United agent restored her reservation and put her at the top of the standby list."

We still had to carry them over to the men who actually sorted and loaded our luggage. Other airlines print out our baggage tags at kiosks along with our boarding passes, so we can immediately apply them to out luggage ourselves and then hand them over to the loaders. If Spirit Airlines had that feature at least two-thirds of us would not have had to wait hours in line."

The customer service attendants at United and AA at ORD were SO KIND AND HELPFUL, and I wasn't even their customer. I will NEVER fly Sprit again as long as I live, and will continually discourage anyone who asks from using it. I am not a complainer (usually), but this was simply awful, and the customer service was worse."

Cons: "Flight was late. ALSO... Person on the phone in Salt Lake City was not honest. They took all of my TSA Pre check info and said I was registered. I checked in online and there was no Pre Check so I called back. They denied speaking to me and said they did not participate with the Pre Check program. I am curious if my info can be sold. It was creepy!"

Cons: "they cancelled our Mon eve flight - allegedly due to weather in NY but there was 10 mins of rain in NY & no other carriers were cancelled. I've since heard that Spirit does this rather frequently."

Cons: "Fees on fees on fees - the flight was not inexpensive enough to justify paying for a carry on. Arguably my fault for not researching the airline to know about the fees, but at no point during my flight purchase process was I notified about the way Spirit airlines functions (i.e. you should only fly if you plan to bring nothing). But fine, after I realized the joke was on me, the process of updating my baggage status was a nightmare. And THEN...I called to add my TSA pre-check status, which the customer service rep took "and added" over the phone only to find our at the airport that "Spirit airlines doesn't do TSA pre-check." Overall just a frustrating and stressful experience."

Cons: "Because my flight was booked through Kayak, I DID NOT know about the many fees until the night before. I should have been able to get all the information days/weeks earlier. I paid $50 extra for a $75 flight - which was extra bad for me because I chose to take a 6 hour greyhound from St Louis to Chicago, instead of flying directly from STL to NYC. So, for just a bit more, my 12 hour travel day would have been reduced to 3 hours. The airplane was dirty and I swear to God, there was duct tape on the engine casing."
