Pros: The kids club - win win win! The fact that we as parents could leave our boys in the kids club from 18.00- 22.00 meant we could go out ourselves and enjoy a meal and few drinks. It’s a great service. The beds in appartment were so comfortable too. The staff very helpful. And the breakfasts in the cafe were delicious. Everything so fresh. Also great that breakfast was served till 11.30. Location was great too in the Chiado district.

Cons: We had an unfortunate start, as our room was missing bathrobes, the king bed sheet had a big rip on it and the table had no chairs to go with it. They immediately fixed this upon mentioning, with a nice note and chocolates to compensate. Some furniture were clearly worn out and stained. Shower nobs accidentally came of whilst turning. The lights and TV functions were a little too clever for their own good - it took us several minutes to find TV channels and to turn the TV off, on both nights. We don't generally struggle with such things... I feel they spent too much effort on the wrong things. We would've loved to have spent some time at the roof terrace, even if the pool was closed for winter. It's unfortunate that we couldn't enter that area. Spa services were priced way over what we're used to seeing in Finland, which was quite a shock. For more moderate prices, I would've loved to have booked massages.

Pros: We recently stayed 3 nights at the Sheraton hotel. The service was excellent - from the front desk staff, to the room service staff to the breakfast staff. Very polite and professional. The breakfast offered a variety of choices (healthy as well). The gym was decent and the spa was fantastic. The hotel offers a wet sauna, dry sauna and an impressive jacuzzi. We didn't go in the outdoor pool, however it also looked inviting. The hotel was very clean. The location of the hotel was a bit away from the center, however was an excellent challenge for avid walkers and only a short ride by taxi.

Cons: The room was a bit dirty for a room costing 300 Euros a night. For some reasons, I couldn't close the lid of the bathtub, so I was forced to take a shower instead. All and all, the room was good, but not for an expensive room with 300 euros price tag.

The location of the hotel was a bit away from the center, however was an excellent challenge for avid walkers and only a short ride by taxi.
Cons: The only thing that didn't impress was the club lounge (our room had club lounge access). The first 2 times we entered, the only food available was a tray of cookies. The 3rd visit produced a plate of fruit. It would have been nice if they offered some cheeses or cut vegetables. Other than that, we very much enjoyed our stay.

We have stayed here before about 2 years ago and it was just a nice as it was then. The buffet breakfast is good an has a wide variety of different choices. Cons: I ended up at the Altis after a very long day of travel and a disastrous Airbnb experience left me and my friends without a place to stay. Desperate, we found the Altis on Kayak with a 5-star rating and were willing to put a little extra money in given how nice the place looked in the app. Unfortunately, this ended up being a terrible experience. The staff was extremely slow and unhelpful, making us wait a very long time to get to our rooms after a very long day. Moreover, the rooms bore absolutely no resemblance to the photos we saw on the app - they were outdated, dingy, and dirty. There were hairs in our showers, and the floors were stained. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. The wifi didn't work, coming in and out every few minutes. In fact, we ended our stay early given how bad the conditions were - though it took ages to do so at reception. There is no way this hotel is 5 stars and it should not be advertised as such. Personally, I would like for the hotel to compensate me in some way for such a misleading and poor experience.

Pros: Wonderful hotel! everyone was so friendly and the room was a good size. The front desk was so helpful with anything that you needed. Also, it was right in front of the Agenda train station, making it super convenient to come and go to the airport but I didn't even use the train station to travel around downtown Lisbon or Alfama as everything was within walking distance!

The restaurant was over priced. The one dinner we had was very good and the presentation was beautiful, however, for 2 vodka tonics with absolute vodka cost 34 euro and the lobster salad, while beautifully presented, was 19 euro for 2 small claws and some greens.

The room was compact but not a problem .. definitely would return to this hotel . Lisbon is a great city to visit .. I stayed 6 days and still left places to visit next time !

Cons: We had no prior warning that the spa and pool facilities would not be available, which is a pretty big deal when booked and included as a romantic package for a 50th birthday. The hotel staff were pragmatic when I complained but I had to complain, before they offered as a compromise that we could use the facilities across the road. This does seem reasonable, however not the same as using the facilities in your own hotel and we should have been offered the chance to re-book elsewhere. This was a shame as other than this it would have been a perfect stay.

Cons: They were extremely rude to us. The first night they gave us a room that smelled of humidity and tabacco and the shower was broken. We called the reception because we took a shower and the floor was all wet, a guy came and he said it was not broken that it was just like that!! Next morning, after another complain, they moved us to a better room and discounted half of the price of the first night. However, on the day of the check out we fell asleep and they woke us up at 12.15 PM banging the door saying that if we did not leave the room immediately they would call the police!! We rushed to leave the room and then we asked if we could leave our luggage at the reception since our flight home was at night and they said no!! We just couldn't believe this. We had to go to the hotel next door instead to leave our stuff. They were very kind and helpful at Bairro Alto Hotel. Would recommend to stay here instead!!

Pros: We stayed for 5 nights at this hotel. Breakfast was a lovely experience with a man playing the piano.The Breakfast waslovely too.I recommend their own driver at the hotel for a taxi he not only takes you to your destination but you get to hear about the history of the beautiful buildings and lisbon.a lovely man he was also the staff always smiling and the owner himself always making sure his customers are comfortable and happy. Thank you for our lovely stay.

Cons: Not a quiet hotel, at all, and so for the light sleeper, a better spot is needed (especially for New Year’s Eve when the streets party til 6am).

Cons: The area was unsafe after dark. The bathroom sink stopped working overnight and then only gave out brown water the next morning. The breakfast was barely edible. The elevators never came when we pushed the buttons for them, so several other guests and I had to walk up and down stairs for 7 floors to go to and from our rooms. I left a night earlier than my reservation. I hated this hotel. Waste of money. This hotel and its area are not at all a true representation of Lisbon or Portugal at all.

Cons: I had specifically asked for a quiet room and unfortunatley we got the exact opposite however after phone calls and eventually my partner went down to reception they immediatley moved up to a far superiior room . We thought that the staff didn;t seem overly friendly no smiles apart from a lovely girl serving breakfast Renate who helped us with suggestions for travel etc the doorman never said hello the reception staff let you wait before they served you - maybe that in normal in Portugal but no one really seemed happy .

Bathroom more than adequate with hot showers each day after running gallons away before any warmth appears. A noisy generator or fan woke us each morning around 2.30 am close to our room presumably from a kitchen or storeroom. Won't miss that at our next accommodation Our room safe malfunctioned a few times due to a faulty entry button, beware inmates, you may need an ' engineer' to resolve. Most staff were very helpful although restaurant staff on first night were possibly trainees as service was poor and inconsistent. Food is good quality and presentable,if a little pricey. €6.00 for a large beer.€26.00 for an average Rose wine, and not the one we ordered. Breakfast is taken in the basement, not on the what would be obvious ground floor dining area, again a reasonable choice but certainly not even 4 star standards. There has to be an economy drive on currently, as the dining room was chilly each morning and bedroom cold at night. The heating system when used,actually lowered the temp. of our room rather than increased it. An 'engineer' sorted it on the first day, but from then on it did not work even on max. settings. The lifts can be temperamental and you could get stuck in one for a few minutes, if your pass card malfunctions. Try not to panic. The hotel location is ideal for metro and bus connections although we preferred walking each day. It's about 45 - 50 minutes to the centre. 10 minutes to El Corte Inglis, which has a fabulous 7th. floor. Well worth a visit.

Pros: It's just near the major parks, bus stops in a quiet neighborhood near the Four Seasons. The service is better than Excellent. Managers are helpful, courteous, English speaking. The rooms are generous, clean and comfortable. It's also the first hotel that offered valet parking.
Cons: It's a bit dated, but still very comfortable.

Pros: The staff was amazing, always available to help. Very comfortable beds. Great lighting in the bedroom.
Cons: The garage. The hotel had a garage next door but the lease was terminated so now the parking is done down the block, which isn't a nice area to stroll around at night.

Cons: My family of 4 were booked in two rooms with me & my wife in one and two boys in another. After a couple of days my youngest son aged 20 joined us and I wanted to accommodate him in the same room with my other two sons with an extra bed. However, the hotel staff did not allow that saying extra bed were provided only to smaller children. So, I had to hire another room for 2 daysStay.

Cons: I can only speak for the room for 3. It is huge but very poor equipped. We had big problem with the lack of sockets. No lighting in most part of the room. Portugal does not have heating system. For such a big room we only had a tiny heater which did not do much. All the requests are all politely rejected. The room smells funky, so are the duvets. We saw an insect running from toilet to living room in the last day of stay.

Pros: It is very close to the Metro station, and the staff is very good.
Cons: Beds were very uncomfortable; there was very little lighting in the room, you could either charge your phone or have the light on since other power outlets were high on the wall. The bathrooms had a very strong bleach smell (but they were clean). The rooms are very noisy and everything echoes, so every time someone passes outside, or even unlocks their door, you hear it very clearly in your room.
