Cons: The maintenance guy who tried to fix a broken bathroom light was using very profane language as he failed at repairing the light. However, this staff member's behavior scored us a free upgrade from city view - to river lake view - so it all worked out.

Cons: Service was boardline TOO GOOD if that is such a thing

Cons: The pool area was not on par with the essence or ambiance of the rest of the hotel, with the lack of hot tub areas and the extreme plainness of the pool area compared to the rest of the hotel.

Cons: There should be a parking facility for the guest. I was paying almost the same amount for the parking what is was paying for my room.

Cons: Room was small and oddly shaped. Could not get wait staff to take our order in the restaurant which was fine since menu didn't look appetizing anyway.

Cons: Staff were horrendously unhelpful on more than one occasion

Cons: We checked in early and dropped off our bags, no problem. Then we got the notification that our room and digital key was ready, so we made our way back. When we tried to get our bags, no one was there to talk to so we had to go to the front desk and they were going to send them up. We went upstairs with our digital key ready and it didn't work. We had to go back to the front desk, only to have the staff not believe us that it didn't work. They gave us a regular key and we went back upstairs. I had wanted to freshen up but the bags had not arrived. We waited about half an hour but ended up going back to the front desk to remind them to send the bags up. After that, the stay was fine until I was over charged for the room and had to call the hotel to get the correct charges.

Cons: Probably being a little picky here, but I couldn’t get the Netflix to work on my TV in the room. Totally reaching here....this place is great.

Cons: I have the Hilton app and credit card. I was allowed to pick my room, so I did on the app. I did not get the room I selected. I arrived early. Was told my room was not ready. By 4 p (check-in time) it was not ready; not ready by 4:45p (yet I saw several checking in at 4p). I had to leave for dinner and opera (couldn't change into the intended clothes because of the room not ready). Shower head doesn't allow for focused stream; took a while to rinse thick hair.

Cons: Bar, location and staff

Cons: Room faced Michigan Ave and was very noisy (sirens, etc.) A white noise machine would have been helpful.

Cons: We tried to eat at the hotel restaurant to avoid going out in a storm. The restaurant is more of a bar setting and the menu is not family friendly. Needless to say we braved the storm, got soaked! Great memory! Lots of good places to eat around the hotel.

Cons: Soundproofing could be better, for something so new, too many items weren't working.

Cons: We went to this hotel so we could have access to the rooftop lounge. They made it very hard for everyone by saying that it’s Booked all year but if you come and wait in a ridiculous line for a few hours you will get in. Are you booked or not? Another thing was the shower water that took very long to get hot.

Cons: The fact that this upgrade was right against an elevator on the 11th floor (1101). Throughout the stay, you could hear the elevator go up and down, the guest talking loud coming out and going into their hallways. But importantly for a Photographer, that giant TRUMP sign taking away from my cityscape photos. My suggestion would be to place any upgrades away from the main hall where the elevator is and to ask the guest questions such as, “Is this your anniversary or honeymoon “.

Cons: Not much i didnt like. Nice view of the Chicago river but would be better if window was cleaner.

Cons: I had issues about several things that may not matter to some people but it bothered me. I asked twice for a sleeping mask and the first night they're were out said they'll get some in the next day. On the next day I asked again and they already have them out.?.? I feel they should have notated I requested one the first day and then have it ready the next. The bed linens leave something to be desired. They use a flat sheet for the bottom sheet which kept coming undone. The comforter wasn't big enough for the bed. It continuously kept falling off so in the middle of the night I had to get up and cover my wife back up. The room was for the most part clean. However I drop something and when I looked under the bed I saw individual skittles covered in dust :-/. And the restaurant... We tried to eat and drink there but the service was terrible. Took 20 mins to get menus and a water. I guess they're understaffed? But we left before ordering anything due to the service. The overal stay wasn't terrible. I would stay there again but I would never pay full price for it.

Cons: The room was tiny - literally the same size as many of the hotel rooms we stayed in in Japan. The toiletries and furnishings were the bare minimum - don't forget to bring the bar of soap to the shower if you want to use it there instead of at the sink! Finally, the elevator situation is terrible. Multiple times, we had to wait well over 10 minutes for an elevator to get to our room. Be sure to budget in extra time if you're on a schedule!

Cons: They have no lot, no arrangement with a local lot, and only one valet on staff as best I could tell. This guy would disappear for up to 20-30 min, or flat out say it will be 20+ min before I can get your car. All that, for $55 per trip. Don't drive, or plan to find a distant garage if you want to pay less than $50-70 per night parking. Atop the valet-delay, they only had one elevator servicing floors 11-30s, and every trip up or down took at least 10 min of waiting (don't leave anything behind!) and every trip in the elevator was packed body to body.

Cons: It was difficult to locate and find initally when we were driving and trying to checkin.

Cons: My king bed was actually a king box spring with two twin mattresses. Who does that? The seam is right in the middle of your back.

Cons: The elevator service was terrible. We would often wait over 20 minutes to catch the elevator during the day, and the stairs were not practical when you're staying in the 28th floor.

Cons: The bed and pillows weren't very comfortable. And there weren't that many amenities.

Cons: The bathroom was poorly separated from the bedroom. With a gap above the hanging door to the bathroom area and a much bigger gap above the glass door that made up the toilet room, it was almost like we were in there together. Not very romantic.

Cons: The corner lounge was strange in terms of food offerings, everyone shows up for breakfast expecting to find dry cereal, bananas or a pop tart. Get rid of the candy and party mix and offer a minimal continental breakfast.

Cons: I needed to print a document and the business center did not have a printer.

Cons: The room was really quite loud. The air conditioner would kick on and wake me up several times a night. We were also close to the elevator (which I know is unavoidable) and could hear word for word the conversations in the hallway. This made for a rough night's sleep.

Cons: Everything was great for a fantastic location. Didn't like the parking fees for the garage, but that was the case anywhere you go in Chicago. Not the fault of the hotel.

Cons: The rooms are incredibly dry! My face, hands, mouth and most of my skin felt coarse and extremely dry all evening and night in the hotel. Upon asking for a humidifier around midnight, I was told that maintenance/the front desk would check in with me after they looked for one. However, after 40+ minutes with no response AFTER I called back again, I went to bed. I was disappointed in both their communication and state of the room. Furthermore, there was the tiniest window with a speck of natural light let in. I understand city hotel room have limited views but I have never been in a room so dark with such a small window. I will not be returning to The Central Loop Hotel for these reasons.

Cons: $53 for valet and they brought down the wrong car 2 out of 3 times. Both times I waited for more than an hour when the entire purpose of the valet is to save time. Half of the staff was excellent and the other half was rued.

Cons: The king bed we booked was very clearly 2 twin beds pushed together with a zippered-in gap filler that sort of worked. So it was wide but there was a dip in the middle and my feet were hanging off of the foot of the bed, I'm 5'9"... Some trash that wasn't ours under the bedside table when we arrived. As others have said the walls are very thin.

Cons: There was a lack of dance bars for people our age without a ridiculous cover charge

Cons: $400 for a tiny bed and room with no fridge or microwave is a complete rip off. I will never be staying here again no matter how busy the city is or how expensive another place is.
