Croatia entry details and exceptions

Travelers may enter Croatia but will be required to meet one of the exemptions:

Persons who travel for tourist reasons and have a certificate of paid accommodation in a hotel, camp, private renter or rented vessel, and another form of tourist accommodation or are owners of houses or vessels in the Republic of Croatia.

Citizens of EU/EEA member states as well as members of their families;

Healthcare workers, health researchers, and caregivers for the elderly;

Travelers in transit, with the obligation to leave the Republic of Croatia a maximum of 12 hours from entering;

Persons traveling for necessary personal/family or business reasons, or who have other economic interests;

Travelers are required to wear masks in all health services facilities including clinics, hospitals and social service centers. It is recommended to wear a mask indoors where larger crowds are expected.

COVID-19 testing requirements
Test type

Visitors from India are not required to present a negative COVID-19 PCR test or antigen result upon entering Croatia.

Quarantine requirements

Visitors from India are not required to quarantine after entering Croatia.

Details and exceptions
Travelers who are unable to present an EU Digital COVID Certificate or other certificates with similar data as the EU Digital COVID Certificate are required to self-isolate until they receive a negative test result.

COVID-19 testing requirements
Test type

Unvaccinated travelers returning from Croatia must present a negative RT-PCR (NAAT) test taken within 72 hours before departure to India.

Fully vaccinated travellers with approved vaccination certificates do not need to present a negative COVID-19 test.

Details and exceptions
Travelers should upload their negative RT-PCR test report in the Air Suvidha Portal prior to boarding their flight.
Travelers will undergo a medical screening upon arrival and may be subject to a covid-19 molecular test at their own expense.
Children under 5 years of age are exempted from both pre and post-arrival testing.
Fully vaccinated travelers with WHO-recognized or Nationally-recognized vaccines are also exempted from testing requirements. Proof of vaccination should be uploaded in the Air Suvidha Portal.
Quarantine requirements

Visitors returning from Croatia are not required to quarantine upon entering India.

Details and exceptions
Quarantine is no longer required. However, travelers are advised to self-monitor their health for 14 days from arrival and if they develop signs and symptoms suggestive of COVID19, they should immediately self-isolate and report to their nearest health facility or call National helpline number (1075)/ State Helpline Number.
