The bathrooms was stinking on this long haul flight and the full flight was smelling like hell from boarding to landing
1. The crew was hospitable 2. Leg room was very good
1. The dirty toilets. They don't stock them with tissues 2. Some seats entertainment systems dont work at all and for others the audio doesn't work 3. The selection options in movies 4. Much older flight
The vegetarian menu was boring. A horrid sandwich, terrible croissants, dry breadrolls, potatoes at every meal. No Cabin crew available except during take off and landing and meal service. They were all hidden in the rear of the plane. Rude when came after being called for 30 minutes. No beverages or even water offered except during beverage service. No Wi-Fi, wired remote control in each seat defective. Touch screen not working. Dirty bathrooms. Aged upholstery and uncomfortable seats.
The price and AI staff attitude/demeanor were both very good.
The actual service quality was below the average US flagship airline, far below the average EU flagship airline, and very far below the average Asian flagship airline.
Crew attentiveness, boarding in transit and food were exceptional, and first class!
The comfort of the Air India first class seats was not first class and may benefit from an additional mattress because I think the seats have been worn out too much.
