The crew assisted the super senior citizen and accommodated her requests. Experience with crew was excellent. However the aircraft did not have a separate business class cabin. Some of the small offer to improve confirmt of passenger like making a bed in helping them sleep, closing the cabin door would go a long way as some of the traveler are not even aware of these facilities. Once they know, they may prefer flying business.
The supporting staff were good and supported a super senior citizen traveling alone. This is much appreciated. It would have been an excellent experience if your staff knew Kannada a local language. Without that, traveler had to scramble to understand the steps, the issued documents. and to find next steps.
There were no vegetarian options on flight from India. Then on the next flight there was no chosen entree available. Movie selection was mediocre
Very courteous and professional flight attendants. At least from Delhi to Tokyo leg where a good number of passengers are of Indian origin should have some items of Indian cuisine on the menu other than that great experience.
Excellent service, excellent food and beverage options, plenty of leg room
Issue 1: We had a 2 hour delay to repair a windshield wiper, during which we sat on board on the runway. Issue 2: it was VERY HOT in the cabin for most of the flight, we were sweating. We asked to make it cooler. They didn’t succeed in doing so. Other than that, it was great. Fantastic food, and extremely pleasant, accommodating flight crew.
We asked for Hindu vegetarian meal in advance and the quality of the food was horrendous. Never flying JAL again!
for a such long and tiresome flight with halt of 10 hrs. during night Indigo should provide night stay arrangeement to such transit passengers we both are senior citizens of nealy 75 with some diability. any responsible air line should provide such arrangements.
WiFi inflight was not working. Then they told everyone they had no beef for the steak option. So that left just sea food and snacks. So all I ate for the 11 hour flight, was an ice cream sundae. Gave out Casper mattress pads, which are always so nice.
Great service. Premium coach seat was uncomfortable. Food was non-descript.
Air India Express operates as a separate airline, so it says. Air India Express is a subsidiary of Air India and is part of the Tata Group, which acquired a 100% stake in the airline. (https://www.tata.com/business/air-india-express). Yet Air India express is not a member of Star Alliance, so Star Alliance gold members do not receive the benefits they would had they traveled on a mainline Air India flight. Even though it's a subsidiary of Air India, which is a Star Alliance airline. Very frustrating.
When landing in Hyderabad, the pilot made a hard landing. Everyone in the plane were shocked. The captain landed the plane hard and felt as if we were going to be thrown out from our seats. It was surprising the captain didn't apologize or make an announcement about. Again a surprise no crew acknowledge this. This was an odd experience!
I appreciated a meal on the shorter flight. It was slightly delayed with no announcement but I was able to determine what was happening.
I don't think there were entertainment options (short flight) - which is why I gave the 'ok' sign. Didn't make a diff in my flight experience either way, however
Really old air craft, broken seats and tray tables. Entertainment screens don’t work. Charging ports didn’t work.
Poor, pilot flew as if he was in hurry and had to coverup for wasted time
seats were not comfortable, entertainment was not working and food could be much better, given the airline calls itself full service and india's flag carrier.
The planes did not have charging jacks for phones or lap tops and there are no monitors for movies. On the flight from Delhi to Hyderabad I was the last person in First asked for a meal choice and only one meal was available so I had no choice.
Crew was polite. Ground crew was prompt in informing about the flight delay. Boarding process was ok. There was no entertainment on the flight. Blankets were not available for an overnight flight. It was very cold & blanket was given upon request. Food was average. It would have been better to serve breakfast instead of a late night dinner as people like to sleep & serving breakfast before disembarking in the morning at Singapore would have been much appreciated. Seats were ok. Plane was old.
Ok, where do I start, hmm! Good things first - the meals/food was tasty, the seats are comfortable and legroom in Economy was ample and foot rest with message roller is simply amazing, Wi-Fi Entertainment works well. Bad things - in-flight entertainment screens and remotes either had physical damage and or simply not working. This was the case for more than 1/2 the flight. Flight that was long haul - 12+hrs non-stop. If you want a cracker or a biscuit with your tea - forget it, they carry none. Feel like having a chilled beer - forget it as they will serve you room temperature always and every time. The crew seem young and inexperienced. Will I fly again, yes I would only because it gets me from Sydney to Delhi in 12.5 odd hours (fastest), otherwise I will never. It has been what a year or so since TATA took over but I have not seen any change, I really hope this changes.
