Cons: "Didn't like the fact that I was never notified through email that the flight was from a different , newer airport in Islamabad. Originally my booking was from Benazir International Airport Islamabad but on the day of flight when I went to that airport , it was totally closed for operations and flights. And I asked people in the street e.g taxi drivers etc which airport my flight could be from. They told me that a new airport in Islamabad had become operational and my flight could be from the newer airport. I went to the new airport but I was late for boarding because my time was wasted in going first to the Benazir International Airport and then rerouting to the new airport. Fortunately the fight from Islamabad to Qatar was delayed and I was able to make it to the boarding and flew from Islamabad to Doha."

Reason: There are two queues 1 For people who did a web checkin 2 people who didn’t do a web checkin The Qatar staff at Hyderabad experienced a technical glitch because their only system failed and there was no backup option. There was no apology from any of the staff. No one values the time of the people who chose Qatar making it a very bad experience overall"

Pros: "This review is for return travel from ATL to MAA (Chennai, India) and back. Route: ATL-DOH: about 14.5 hrs; DOH-MAA: about 4.5 hrs; Likes: 1. Baggage check-in process was simple and easy. 2. Meal preferences was good - I'm a vegetarian and on the onward journey forgot to specify the meal preference but the crew had enough inventory to meat the requirements. 3. Every seat was provided with a small plastic pouch/packet/goodie bag that consisted of a eye mask (very thoughtful), pair of sock, toothpaste+brush (very thoughtful), hand cream. This was very useful and effective. 4. Entertainment - options were good and current."
Cons: "Dislikes: 1. Online check-in wasnt easy; towards the end of the process, there is an option to email the boarding pass but this never worked. Not sure if this is something to do with the browser (tried with Firefox, Opera) 2. It would have been good, as part of the online check-in, if the users reminded to specify the meal preferences, etc. I forgot to specify the meal preferences but thankfully the crew had enough of what I wanted. 3. Take a relook at the packaging of the toothpaste tube in the goodie bag. It was sealed in such a way that it was difficult to open it w/o a sharp object. This should have been easier. 4. Seats were the worst part - poor legroom. Worst, the seat cushion is the worst. I think it was just a fabric over a metal seat with minimalist of cushion. ATL to DOH leg was the worst (and the longest leg of the trip). Unless you have open seats next to you it would be a back breaking and painful trip. Seat comfort wise, I would rate Qatar as the worst. Luckily on the return leg (DOH-ATL) next two seats to mine was empty, so was able to stretch and sleep well. DOH-MAA or MAA-DOH seating was little better (think its a older plane; newer planes have worst seats) 5. The website was damn slow while accessing from overseas. Even in the US, at times the website hangs-up, freezes or spins often. 6. Food was ok -dinner and lunch but minimalistic; I didnt see any specific breakfast menu or any coffee served separately (was part of beverage option during lunch or dinner) 7. There was no alert, communication, notification, reminder of upcoming trip via email or text, etc. Many airlines does this very often but Qatar was totally silent on it (they did have my email during checkin). Not sure why."

Initially charged $1000 for 3 tickets for modification of return trip - confirmed the same and tickets issued (i'm fine with this). But, after i made arrangements for new date, I got a call saying calculation error and asked to pay another $500 leaving me no choices. How can such a reputed airline have no tools to calculate the pay? Other airlines offered one-way for half of the price i paid. On top of it, online helpdek promised front line seat to satisfy me but nothing was offered even if i ask explicitly. Simply declined saying i am not in priority list. Why do they make false promises? Friends, Just don't fly for food ....."

I said iwas not charged extra at miami why you are charging extra here ,they said rules are different at miami but in hyderabad this is the case I am very much frustrated on this service ,atleast once in a year i will travell on qatar from next time i never prefer to travel on this carrier. Cons: "I have used Kayak many times but I am afraid I may not use it anymore. We booked tickets to India from Boston few months ago. We booked for Emirates. But we got the tickets issued through web jet. With the recent travel ban we wanted to reschedule our tickets. And then the whole problem unravelled. We called kayak to reschedule. Kayak team said its not their responsibility and forwarded me to Web jet. We called emirates directly but they said since we booked tickets via Web jet they will be able to help. So we called Web jet and they charged a hefty 250-300$ extra to what Emirates would have charged for difference in pay. They said its basically the processing fee. We were disappointed as the reason for postponing was not in our hands, and the fact that kayak passed the buck to Web jet in dealing with the issue. If we had bought our tickets directly from Emirates the process would have been very smooth."

I have been suffering from Back pain since several years, underwent surgery. I had to walk a larger distance at LHR to hotel and back to to catch flight. His inept handling of rescheduling my family caused us to not only be split up in our flight from London to Vienna, but the majority of us had to wait 10 hours for the next flight. He could've rescheduled us together, but instead he ignored my sister's request to do so, rudely told us to get back in line, and rescheduled another family on the same flight as my sister, thus eliminating our seats together, and forcing her to travel alone."
