First time traveler on vistara - liked everything

The security part at Madras airport was horrible. There was no separate queue for business class, and i almost missed my flight due to the delay in security clearance

Really great service - staff were very respectful and helpful!

UK 708 was an Airbus 320 Neo, one of the least comfortable planes. This was premium economy and the seats weren't really comfortable - but I always travel with a pillow to make up for that. The seat in Row 3 had plenty of leg space as it's behind business class. The food looked sad, and tasted as such too. I miss the old Jet Airways days. Four people at the Boarding were an overkill considering the fact that they didn't really follow sequential boarding. The flight was delayed by 15 minutes while taking off, but landed 5 minutes after original ETA.

It has been an excellent experience travelling with Vistara. Keep it up!!! You will have great times ahead.

Wait too long to check in bags

My connecting International was Qatar and allowing 15kg Carry, Vistara allowed 12.5kg only and made me throw 1 KG plus from my checkin too. Ordered Veg And Available option was Hyd Biryani and got some lemon rice with bad curry and dal.

Vistara had wrong information about the required pcr test I needed to transit Dubai. This cost me much stress and $40. Other than that, great experience on both airlines.

Cabin temperature was too low and uncomfortable

The trip was booked on a Premium Economy, I was moved to standard economy with no compensation. When I boarded the flight crew had already made someone else sit in my place who were reluctant to give me my seat. Quite a few people were found not wearing masks and crew did nothing about it. No choice of food in spite of me with a standard economy ticket that includes the option of food.

Pathetic ground staff and customer care. I paid for an upgrade 3 weeks before the journey, and I was downgraded with no reason.

Comfort and safety. At least packaged food could be served to Business Class passengers.

Surprisingly pleasant experience despite Covid-19 times. Food was too good!

Because wasting my time at the Mumbai airport was not so entertaining for me and the airline did not even seem apologetic about it. Food was bed it was Hindu meat and I am vegetarian called earlier to changed to vegetarian food but only changed whole going back to india and coming back give me Hindi food and it was meat so can’t eat, asked crew to give me some fruit or vegetarian food but no one came to help me out brought sand food again Hindu meal and I told her I am vegetarian stayed hungry since I don’t like only bread either with out subji. Generally, they have on-board WiFi Internet, however for my return route of 21 hours both flights had no wifi which was disappointing. This is unprofessional because if you are planning on having WiFi to respond to work emails and it is not available once you are already in the air there is nothing you could do but get stuck. Never does this happen with Lufthansa, Turkish, Etihad. Disappointing."

We came in a large plane and had to deplane very far from the terminal onto buses, down a long set of stairs. But, they took me out of line and up to the office, I then had to wait 30 minutes to be helped only to then learn that the credit card machine was not working. Then, I had to go back through security and stand in line again just to get my boarding pass. I was at the airport 3 hours early and this disorganized system almost caused me to miss my flight. Check in is a mess. Be ready for a traumatic experience from the unsupportive and rude check in staffs and duty managers at Calicut airport. It’s a chaos and the lines are mostly first in last out, as they don’t care of the passenger well being or the waiting time. They are just concerned of checking in before the boarding call. Personal experience is of standing 2 hours straight just for check in. Flight is ok, food preordered are all the instant ones with hot water mix, which tastes pathetic. Overall, will never take another indigo flight to fly out of india.

Bag check is not as smooth as can be at CST Terminal 2. Passengers are advised to print out and attach boarding passes at home in a bid to avoid crowding at self-service kiosks given the Covid-19 public health crisis. However attendants then say tags need to be re-printed at the counter as the ones provided by the airline at the airport are more secure. While the check-in process is aided by the helpful staff, Indigo Airlines could do a better job of providing more self-service kiosks and clearer guidance during the online purchase process. Suggest calling ahead to confirm situation on the ground.

Based on this experience I would definitely fly with Spicejet again."

We did not have phones to communicate and had to go through hell to find a phone to talk with our kids who spend lot of time buying us the hotel room and air tickets for the next day on a different available airline."

Took us a while to figure that out with the language barrier and lack of internet at the airport... next we took a rickshaw to the international airport which put us just passed 45 minutes early for the flight itself. Apparently that is the limit that we didn’t know about. So we were there 40 minutes early instead of 45 and they wouldn’t let us check in even though we only had carry ons with us. Next we had to buy another air India ticket 12 hours later to Mumbai which cost us 150 dollars per ticket and made us sit at the airport for the interim. This nearly caused us to miss our connecting flight to Newark. We also did not get to use the lounge in BOM as a result of the delay in AMD and BOM. I was travelling in Business Class due to my severely bad health condition. My husband was travelling in economy. AI ground staff was so arrogant and inconsiderate that they would not help my husband get a seat (within economy class) close to the Business Class section so he can attend to me periodically on the 16-hour long flight to Newark. In addition to the ground and flight staff being inconsiderate, the interior of the plane and the food service (in the economy class) are less than mediocre. We had choice of other airlines, but being proud indians, my wife and I decided to give AI a chance. Next time, we will find other ways to show our love for India than patronizing AI."

However, it was showing 47 on another scale (very next weighing scale) and the person was so persistent about weight that he made me remove 1 kg from each bag. My question is how could you expect my weighing scale so perfect when yours are not perfect? it seems they don't care if air india lose a customer for just couple of kg weights. Also, no announcement for boarding, people started making their own queue. Flight was delay by almost an hour however, no courtsey to inform passanger or no monitor/tv to show at boarding gate that flight is delayed."
