Pros: I stayed at the Nikko Hotel for one night during the Nike Women's Half Marathon. Not only was a beautiful, and luxurious hotel but it was also in the perfect location in Union Square for the Nike Women's Half Marathon and Expotique. The customer service was phenomenal and they even extended check out for NWM participants. This was great because it enabled us to shower before our journey home. Thank you Nikko Hotel for such top notch accommodations! I will definitely stay here again next year!

Pros: The staff were the most friendly and helpful of most of the hotels I've expetienced. We stayed there due to a close relative being in Cal Pacific Medical Center unexpectedaly from out of the area. They were so accommodating and extended our stay when complications arised. The restaurant was great and we loved Bill the bartender. We never felt like we were not welcome. The shuttle to the hospital was invaluable and saved us money in extra parking fees. I would not hesitate to stay here again under similar circumstances. We also enjoyed the restaurants in Japan town. They were wonderful.
Cons: The only thing we didn't like was the road noise in the room. Our home is in an area that u Is extremely quiet so we are not used to city noises. Mew have traveled extensively and stayed in noisy cities where hotels are much quieter. I must say we are more sensitive to noise so take that into account. We would stay there again if we needed too.

And the bathroom is not typical -- I think it has a Japanese influence so perhaps it is a comforting design for those familiar with Japan, but for others it seems strange. A deep thin tub with shower, no shower curtain, then the sink in a middle area that has wall to wall carpeting, and then the toilet in another room that you have to step up and over to enter.

Pros: This boutique hotel has so much charm. It was perfectly located for our many day exploration of SF. I also found it to be located in a hip area, being around the corner from the, reservations only, craft cocktail lounge Bourbon & Branch, and the best Thai restaurant (according to expats) in the city, Million Thai. I shopped many (endlessly beige and corporate) luxury hotels in the area, but was won over by this luxury hotel with personality. The room was very clean and quiet. We found the duvet and bed to be very comfortable. The bathroom was very modern with a wonderfully relaxing shower. The reported remodeling was complete when I visited and I found that the photos were an accurate portrayal of the rooms. I would not hesitate to book this hotel again, and would enthusiastically endorse it to friends and family.

The Manager on Duty, I think her name was Susan, was very helpful after one of the reservation agent accidentally mixed up our checkout time- and another Agent Brandon wasn't very kind to us. I ate most of my meals at the hotel, breakfast lunch and dinner- and I had three different bartender/servers during my stay that were all so very pleasant. Some even gave me directions to buy a hoodie at a nearby store because I didn't realize it would be colder there this time of year still. And the chef made me an awesome salad when I wanted to exchange tuna for chicken on the salad that comes with Lemon Dressing- it was absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend this substitution as the combination of greens and dressing go amazing with Tuna! It will cost you 2 dollars more as Tuna is more expensive (rightfully so) but it I ate the entire thing. I couldn't stop myself.

So many many things were wrong about this place.. had to part 2 blocks away because they don’t have parking and there was already like 50 cars parked right in front of the hotel, but I was asked to move 🤷🏾♂️ The king size room was just standard to me.. nothing that stood out as “Woooow” People at the front desk were rude! Then at the end of all that we got charged an additional fee.. the “Destination Fee”… needless to say I’m gonna pass on paying that! I pre purchased my room and that fee was not a part of it! Not worth the money to stay at such a low Brow place!!! I’m certain motel 6 can do better!

Pros: Everyone from the valet attendant, bellman, and front desk was beyond helpful and attentive. Even on a stormy rainy SF day, they were warm and ever inviting to me. They got me a room on the 27th floor with an amazing view of union square during the holiday season. I highly recommend. Also, the bathroom had great lightening and everything was very clean. Location simply can't be topped. Parking is a choice of valet between $41 around the corner and $60 front door. Wifi is also now FREE.

Pros: We stayed a night since it was near our morning meeting. The layout and lobby is great, and the staff is very welcoming. Unfortunately let down by mediocre room experience (deluxe king) and we could not have a good rest.
Cons: The thermostat in our room was broken and it was way too hot. We tried re-setting it several times but it kept blowing hot air even though it was 75F. It was very difficult to sleep and sweated through the night. The shower pressure was very low. Having both shower head choices was nice, but it was difficult to feel clean because the water pressure was very low and so it took much longer to soap off. For a business hotel, you had to pay for internet. We used a hotspot instead. It felt a bit confused whether it was a luxury hotel or a business hotel, and for the price point I would stay somewhere else that has better value for money. Not having a good night sleep really affected my work day

He required every girl to have a key in their hand to get in, even though we just had one person per room have a key because we didn't think it was necessary. Overall a top quality hotel as far as the rooms, cleanliness, and the decor. Also, the hotel is high-tech with TVs that would mirror our devices and staff available text. Highly recommend this hotel.

Pros: Loved the boutique vibe that the hotel has, it seems SF is lacking modern hotels that are similar to the Ace and plentiful of tacky hotels. The decor is very minimal, with concrete floors- it feels similar to a loft you would want to live in. The restaurant downstairs had a really great brunch and the staff were very friendly. The actual location is pretty central, so it's not that difficult to leave the touristy area of Union Square.
Cons: There wasn't a mention of the $45 (plus tax) for the valet. So that got a bit expensive. You also have to call 30 minutes ahead. The shower is also a lukewarm temperature. And a bit difficult to work with it being stuck.

Staff was not warm or particularly helpful at all, there was an obvious lack of hospitably and willingness to help that you receive at most hotels. The hotel itself is average, its very old and outdated inside, the walls are thin so u hear conversations next door, and the rooms are small. There were very limited hours for the restaurant/lounge downstairs, and overall was just someolace you'd go to sleep and thats it. It really was just ok. Many other hotels in the area that offered more for the price. I wouldnt stay there again.

Pros: This boutique hotel is small but has a lot of character. It was built over a century ago. A renovation to the interior has been done bringing it up to date. The exterior is being repainted now. Being in the heart of Union Square makes it very handy for shopping or anight out. The staff are what make the hotel special though. Edward at the front desk went over the top to make our anniversary extra nice.

Also has a 7eleven convenient store and a walgreens across the street which was nice to grab quick snacks or water for night or morning. Good find! Pros: Front desk was extremely helpful. I needed to cancel my reservation to relocate closer to the hospital where my family member was undergoing surgery for a brain tumor. However, I had booked the room through Expedia. The manager assured me that the hotel would not charge a cancellation fee, given that Expedia advertises no cancellation fees except as subject to the hotel. He was willing to be put on the phone with Expedia to explain the waiver. While on the phone with Expedia, I was put on hold for 30 minutes, then reprimanded by the Expedia representative that I would be charged a cancellation fee of the first night's stay. She refused to let me speak to the manager, and also refused to speak to the hotel manager who had happily obliged to discuss the matter with her. I was continually placed on hold, only to have her come back to the phone to reprimand me. I am grateful to the hotel manager for his hospitality which was in stark contrast to my telephone encounter with Expedia.

Took my wife and baby with me on a business conference trip. Room worked well for the baby with enough space for the crib provided unlike other hotels I saw. Overall very solid hotel.

Went to check in as expected to the hotel but was informed that there was no reservation under my name despite showing them your company's confirmation. Sadly, the hotel has no room available so my only recourse is to go back home and take the last flight. Fortunately, I was able to changed my flight reservation but I have to rushed to the airport and catch the flight. This is disgusting to say the least!

Pros: We loved Hotel Fusion so much! Stayed here for two nights after we drove up the coast. The decor and architecture was so amazing and inviting from a long day on the busy streets. We arrived early and they let us check in a little earlier then expected, because the rooms were ready and we wanted to rest for a bit. The bar was dark but romantic, with a spooky theme for Halloween. The staff went above and beyond everyone so friendly, Espcially the fun doorman with the puppet and the very friendly front desk woman. Thanks so much Hotel Fusion, we will definitely be back!!

Pros: After a day of run arounds, my trip was delayed about 7 hours, I was supposed to check-in at 3pm. I called the hotel to let them know I was going to be late so that they could hold my room. The 2 times I called to push back my check-in time the staff at the hotel made me feel like it was not hassle. Every time they changed my check-in they said drive safe and they would be waiting for my arrival. The staff definitely made me feel welcome when I finally got in and check in was in less than a minute. I walked up to the front desk to let them know I'm here to check-in and they asked for my name. The rooms were cute and clean, and the restrooms and showers in the hall didn't bother me. I was actually surprised that I never had to wait to use either.

The young woman who checked me in was not very friendly. Upon arrival, we were able to check in hours early and were given a room fitting our request. Though the view wasn't anything to speak of, it absolutely inspired us to not get cabin fever. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, the bathroom immaculate, both the heat and a/c worked famously and overall - our stay was great! Pros: Great location and that's about the only plus. I'm not sure the room my boyfriend and I stayed in had ever been cleaned. The sink was clogged with someone else's hair and I ended up using their towels to dust the room myself.

Pros: staff were incredibly helpful and surprisingly flexible. i had a few issues with my schedule that were completely my fault and they were more than accommodating. coffee was great, rooms were modest , prices were fare. i would certainly stay again.
Cons: front side rooms get a lot of street noise, but that's hardly a fault for being in such a large city

Pros: The location is decent.
Cons: We had no a.c. in the room even though the front desk confirmed there was central air. Also our ceiling fan did not work. The downstairs gave us a small desk fan which didn't help much. When we told them about our issue they said again there is central air. I told them the vents are open but nothing is coming out. They said they'd be up to check but never came and did nothing. I gave up. The Windows could be open but they do not open up directly outside to where air can circulate. It was cooler out in the hall than our room. I was disappointed.

Pros: I really loved how modern/chic-ish it looked. The room sizing was decent, if it's just you and one other person. That was what I intended when I booked my room. The maids are really nice and considerate. The free coffee/hot drink maker downstairs made the best early morning coffee! The manager was really nice, asked if I needed directions. The towels provided were really nice, helped dry us off really fast. Location is wonderful, literally a few blocks from the Painted Ladies and Alamo Square! The neighborhood it's in is also very beautiful if you like Queen Victorian Homes.
Cons: -The "shared bathroom" had rusty shampoo/conditioner hangers in the shower. -The sink in the bathroom was blocky and was just in the way. Really out of place. -There was a small stain on our bed sheets. -Room is stuffy. No A/C. -Walls are a little thin, especially if you have the windows open. -The window opens into this huge open center of the hotel, virtually everyone has their windows open as well, so the noise privacy was virtually non-existent. -You can see people in their rooms if your window is open. Particularly bad because of nudity. -The workers there are very strict and a little over-bearing. It was as if we couldn't have visitors just coming to our room. -Room is really small if you have more than two adults.

Pros: Comfortable bed. Decent view of city lights. Lots of nearby restaurants, bars and cafes. Fantastic Peet's coffee machine in lobby! Friendly staff.
Cons: Room was a little stuffy even with window open. Could use better ventilation. If you can't handle shared (single occupant) showers and toilets, you probably won't be happy - but they were clean, readily available and not a problem for me.

Pros: This was my second time staying here and the experience was even better than the first. We got an outside facing room with an excellent view of the city (wish I could upload a pic). Clean rooms and facilities.

Pros: The staff were all great ...... very helpful. The location is excellent. Away from the tourist area but within walking distance to tourist spots. A very nice residential area...close to many restaurants and cafes . It reminded me of many European hotels. If you like to,walk, this is the place for you

Pros: It was comfortable, had a window view looking out towards Fillmore street. Cable kinda sucked but who cares, explore San Fran. Everything was walking distances, should try stacks its like half a mile away from the hotel. Affordable, but remember its a Mom and Pop kinda hotel not the best but you get what you paid! Awesome coffee machine they had, its 10x it's size and less simple than a keruge. We lobed our stay at Casa Loma.
Cons: The beds creeked, sink was in our room, whites sheets were rough. Towels are rough, toiletries are mounted on the wall in the room in a container, overall simple and self explanatory, me and the boyfriend did't really need to call any type of room service. Friendly people and we made a lot of noise in the day no one seemed to complain or had a fuss about the love making we were making haha, so yeah Casa Loma was cute not to much to complain about. BTW WiFi sucked.

Pros: If you're a traveler on a budget and you're more concerned about the sights and sounds, this hotel is for you.
Cons: Bring slippers if you don't like dank bathroom floors. Bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper. The ventilation isn't good. The walls are thin too, so you probably shouldn't have sex here. Just saying.

Cons: Everything was dirty! The walls were disgusting. The bed was hard and covered in plastic. The bathroom... I'd rather pee in the street, like everyone else was doing. There are windows in the bathrooms on the first floor. Had some chick crawl through the window into the men's stall right before I was about to do my business. you have to step past transients fighting to get to the door, and wait to be buzzed in. There is no parking. Unless you want to park three blocks over and carry your stuff. Wouldn't recomend that. There were needles and razor blades on the street behind this place. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Cons: We couldn't fall asleep for hours because the walls were so paper thin. We had to open a window because the rooms were so small that we became claustrophobic. We left the next morning with tons of bug bites. Not to mention, we paid $75 for this room, and got a way better one on our travel for $50.

Pros: My boyfriend and I wanted to stay at the budget inn for 3 nights as we were going to a few shows. We were forced to stay the first night cause all hotels were booked at the time of mine & my boyfriends arrival. We literally took shifts sleeping & neither of us showered or used the facilities as they were "shared" which meant Port a potty status. I read a review after we left that said "if I had to chose between sleeping on the free way or here. I'd choose the freeway." I agree 10000% never going back

Cons: Pretty 'dark'. They allow folks to smoke, apparently, which seeps into room. Front door was stuck, owner (?) Didnt seem to want to own up to it. Took a ridiculously long time for him to let me in. Ill probably look at hostel next time. Bath along way down hall. Overall probably a real bargain considering the area.

Pros: There are a few changes that would make this inn much better, one thing would be trash cans in the rooms. I think they should put some toilet paper in the restrooms, in case the guest forgets theirs. The room served it's purpose and was nicely located. I like how we had the new sink and paint on the wall. If they put trash cans in the room- I would be more compelled to stay there again.

Cons: There was no air conditioner or fan in the room and at night, it was too hot to fall asleep, even with the window wide open and using no blankets. The first night I spent there, I was in a cold sweat the entire night and I felt like I was sweating out the flu. Then, early in the morning, it would get a lot colder all of a sudden and I had to wrap myself up in my blanket. Another thing that happened in the mornings was loud construction work right outside of the building and I could hear dogs barking down the hallway. There were flies in the common areas and only one place in the building had wifi. Another thing missing from the room was anywhere to hang up even a single set of clothes. I can say more but I don't feel like taking the time to do so.

Cons: Do not stay here under any circumstances. Room stank and had no bathroom only 1 sink. Disgusting corder view outside window full of garbage and bird poop. Window couldn't lock. LOUD banging occurred in the hotel ALL NIGHT. Public restrooms and showers were filthy and nasty like out of a horror movie. Do yourself a favor, pay a little more and say at another hotel
