Cons: The walls are quite thin, and because the toilets are vacuum toilets, they are louder than average toilets, and you can hear everyone flushing. The bathroom door is also a stylish (but not noise-blocking) glass barn door, so if you are sharing the room with someone, they will hear everything that is happening in the bathroom. There is a $25 fee to use the gym and pool, which I was not aware of when I booked the room.

Pros: I stayed at the Nikko Hotel for one night during the Nike Women's Half Marathon. Not only was a beautiful, and luxurious hotel but it was also in the perfect location in Union Square for the Nike Women's Half Marathon and Expotique. The customer service was phenomenal and they even extended check out for NWM participants. This was great because it enabled us to shower before our journey home. Thank you Nikko Hotel for such top notch accommodations! I will definitely stay here again next year!

Pros: Everyone from the valet attendant, bellman, and front desk was beyond helpful and attentive. Even on a stormy rainy SF day, they were warm and ever inviting to me. They got me a room on the 27th floor with an amazing view of union square during the holiday season. I highly recommend. Also, the bathroom had great lightening and everything was very clean. Location simply can't be topped. Parking is a choice of valet between $41 around the corner and $60 front door. Wifi is also now FREE.

Pros: The room was spacious and we had a wonderful view overlooking the San Francisco skyline. I also like the fitness center and the location is awesome close to great restaurants and shops

Waiting for the elevators can take a long time, perhaps because we were there during Christmas and there were a big number of families staying at the hotel plus it was hosting a group of collegiate football players for an upcoming big game.

So many many things were wrong about this place.. had to part 2 blocks away because they don’t have parking and there was already like 50 cars parked right in front of the hotel, but I was asked to move 🤷🏾♂️ The king size room was just standard to me.. nothing that stood out as “Woooow” People at the front desk were rude! Then at the end of all that we got charged an additional fee.. the “Destination Fee”… needless to say I’m gonna pass on paying that! I pre purchased my room and that fee was not a part of it! Not worth the money to stay at such a low Brow place!!! I’m certain motel 6 can do better!

Pros: This boutique hotel has so much charm. It was perfectly located for our many day exploration of SF. I also found it to be located in a hip area, being around the corner from the, reservations only, craft cocktail lounge Bourbon & Branch, and the best Thai restaurant (according to expats) in the city, Million Thai. I shopped many (endlessly beige and corporate) luxury hotels in the area, but was won over by this luxury hotel with personality. The room was very clean and quiet. We found the duvet and bed to be very comfortable. The bathroom was very modern with a wonderfully relaxing shower. The reported remodeling was complete when I visited and I found that the photos were an accurate portrayal of the rooms. I would not hesitate to book this hotel again, and would enthusiastically endorse it to friends and family.

The Manager on Duty, I think her name was Susan, was very helpful after one of the reservation agent accidentally mixed up our checkout time- and another Agent Brandon wasn't very kind to us. I ate most of my meals at the hotel, breakfast lunch and dinner- and I had three different bartender/servers during my stay that were all so very pleasant. Some even gave me directions to buy a hoodie at a nearby store because I didn't realize it would be colder there this time of year still. And the chef made me an awesome salad when I wanted to exchange tuna for chicken on the salad that comes with Lemon Dressing- it was absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend this substitution as the combination of greens and dressing go amazing with Tuna! It will cost you 2 dollars more as Tuna is more expensive (rightfully so) but it I ate the entire thing. I couldn't stop myself.

Pros: The room was a perfect size, bathroom is kind of small and dated but the view was incredible and the staff was amazing. We had an issue with something called casting where you can view videos on the TV, to be honest, I really didn't care about it but my wife did. The tech support team was great, they came right up when we reported the problem, determined it wasn't going to work and they offered us 3 free movie coupons for our inconvenience. On our last day at the hotel, our flight didn't leave till 7 pm, we asked for a 4pm late checkout and despite the fact the hotel was booked solid, they gave it to us. I stay at this hotel most of the time I travel to SF, it's a great location, reasonably priced with lots of restaurants and stores at ones fingertips and the Bart station right outside the door making getting to and from SFO painless and inexpensive!

Pros: The location couldn't be more convenient, just steps away from the Embarcadero BART station, and very close to everything off of Market and the Embarcadero. The hotel itself is large and strangely appointed in some ways in the lobby (huge sculptures, dated music, pods of work or social spaces set out in the midst of an overwhelming visual scale reminiscent of Soviet architecture). That said, the staff was so welcoming and pleasant, and the rooms are clean, new, and quite comfortable. I did not try room service, but everything I experienced was worth the very affordable rate. I'll be back.

Toom service took 1.5-2 hours and we even had a package delivered and they never bothered to bring it up. After three hours we told them forget it we'll get it ourselves. Cleaning staff is super nice. They were doing construction there so don't bother trying to nap during the day, because they were jack hammering the lobby. For the money I think there's better.

For a business hotel, you had to pay for internet. We used a hotspot instead. It felt a bit confused whether it was a luxury hotel or a business hotel, and for the price point I would stay somewhere else that has better value for money. Not only did they book me in, but they beat the original price and converted it for me to $AUD for my small brain. But there was black hair on the bathroom hair which I assume was from the maids or people who stayed before me. There were two things left behind from the people before, so it made me question how clean the room really was. I didn't sleep well because of where the room was located. I could hear the outside door to the stairwell open and slam shut. A group of people tried getting into my room because the front desk gave them the wrong room number. Overall I was disappointed and if I knew it would have been this way I could have saved myself some money.

Once we got to room can clearly tell it was not fully cleaned, the shower had hair in it the shower curtain inner liner was missing . There were no trash bags in the room so couldn’t tidy up. The parking lot was also a party scene people hanging out and then bottles of alcohol all over floor.

Pros: Our stay at Hotel Zephyr was great! We booked a King Bed w/ balcony room for two nights and had absolutely no complains! Our balcony was waterfront and faced the fisherman's wharf as well as had a direct view of Alcatraz. The room was very clean, spacious, and had all the amenities we needed. The staff at the hotel were all very helpful as well as provided us with coupons for restaurants and activities. We really enjoyed the location and our entire stay at Hotel Zephyr.

Staff was not warm or particularly helpful at all, there was an obvious lack of hospitably and willingness to help that you receive at most hotels. The hotel itself is average, its very old and outdated inside, the walls are thin so u hear conversations next door, and the rooms are small. There were very limited hours for the restaurant/lounge downstairs, and overall was just someolace you'd go to sleep and thats it. It really was just ok. Many other hotels in the area that offered more for the price. I wouldnt stay there again.

Other complaint, probably more universal: really going to charge $14 to use hotel WiFi in one's room?! In 2015? First time rentimg hotel in San Francisco. Is this the norm? Free on lobby, though. Very not cool.

There were large cobwebs above the bathroom door frame, the top sheet of my bed was yellowed on the underside and there were a few small stain marks on the sheets that were either wine, juice, or blood. King size bed was not comfortable at all. I HATE the hotels TV/entertainment system. The remote has a rollerball to control a mouse on the screen that is so small you can't read it unless you are sitting in the chair at the desk. Least user-friendly system I've ever used in a hotel. It's like you are watching tv through the computer's "tv application". Really strange.

Pros: The hotel was clean and convenient to getting around the city, especially the piers and fidi, which is why we chose it. The neighborhood is very touristy, which means the restaurants aren't great, nor is the shopping, but it's close to some tourist attractions if that's the purpose of your visit. The outdoor pool and spa were an added bonus! The hotel also offered laundry machines on each floor which was nice (though detergent should be included in the cost!). The room itself was very clean, comfortable and modern. There were USB plugs and big, bright windows as well as an ottoman for lounging while working. The included wifi isn't super fast, but can be upgraded if needed.
Cons: Some of the desk staff was less knowledgeable and friendly than I would have expected, but others were great and made up for it!

Pros: Great location for a "staycation." We live in SF, and spent the night downtown. First dinner, then movie (at Embarcadero Cinema), then a stroll to the Ferry Building. All this within about three blocks. When we arrived, we were given a free upgrade to a slightly larger room (maybe it was a slow Friday night, but they didn't have to have done this). The room and bed were comfortable, although the TV was a bit on the small size (not tiny, just not huge). The room had plenty of room for the two of us, and the queen bed fit our two larger frames nicely. The "Living Room" on the lobby level was quite comfortable, with free espresso drinks and computers available. Free wifi throughout the hotel. We didn't try the restaurant, but there is a Starbucks on the corner (two doors down) that opens quite early, so we had a nice breakfast and coffee there. We enjoyed our stay, and thought the price was great for a downtown SF hotel room.
Cons: Our only complaint was that the window was dirty. It looked like some cleaning had gone on above us, and the soap/water had streaked our window.

Cons: The hotel was much overpriced to begin with and as we checked in, we were encouraged to upgrade for an extra $70 per night for something that didn't seem like an upgrade. The room itself was not luxurious by any means. We felt that it could get away with anything because it was right downtown. The long lines for both check in and the "continental breakfast" were not convenient.

Cons: This is frustrating experience because I was not expecting such a hassle regarding the booking of my hotel. Went to check in as expected to the hotel but was informed that there was no reservation under my name despite showing them your company's confirmation. Sadly, the hotel has no room available so my only recourse is to go back home and take the last flight. Fortunately, I was able to changed my flight reservation but I have to rushed to the airport and catch the flight. This is disgusting to say the least!

Cons: Rooms are very small and doors are ill-fitting. That means you get to hear what is happening in the hallways all night long. Every conversation, every slammed door, everything. If that's not enough for you, there are noisy air conditioning units in the lightwell just outside the window. The acoustics are not favorable for sleep at this hotel, but that's OK, because the beds are tiny and the pillows are lumpy, so you probably wouldn't sleep much anyways.

Pros: We loved Hotel Fusion so much! Stayed here for two nights after we drove up the coast. The decor and architecture was so amazing and inviting from a long day on the busy streets. We arrived early and they let us check in a little earlier then expected, because the rooms were ready and we wanted to rest for a bit. The bar was dark but romantic, with a spooky theme for Halloween. The staff went above and beyond everyone so friendly, Espcially the fun doorman with the puppet and the very friendly front desk woman. Thanks so much Hotel Fusion, we will definitely be back!!

Pros: After a day of run arounds, my trip was delayed about 7 hours, I was supposed to check-in at 3pm. I called the hotel to let them know I was going to be late so that they could hold my room. The 2 times I called to push back my check-in time the staff at the hotel made me feel like it was not hassle. Every time they changed my check-in they said drive safe and they would be waiting for my arrival. The staff definitely made me feel welcome when I finally got in and check in was in less than a minute. I walked up to the front desk to let them know I'm here to check-in and they asked for my name. The staff said we were waiting for you here's your key and I needed to sign after they swiped my card.

Cons: Horrible customer service. My fiancé and I were treated very poorly and when I talked to the manager Jeff, he was very apathetic. We asked for 2 bowls from Jeff later on and they never came. I had to go down to the front desk to grab the bowls myself. We also needed assistance with the television and no one ever came to help. If you are looking for a place where you are ignored and treated poorly for $200 plus a night then is your place. I am astounded that a place like the Hilton could hire such an awful manager as Jeff.

Cons: Oh boy..where should i begin? i was on a long business trip, checked in for 21 nights. Unfortunately i've experienced more issues in this hotel than in any other hotel i have ever stayed in, not just Hilton.. and trust me i stayed in many of them! Here's a summary of my experience at the HILTON SAN FRANCISCO FINANCIAL DISTRICT: [Air conditioning] At the very beginning, i was given an 'Upgraded' room with a nice city view, a balcony, and a non-working air conditioner. I called the front desk, who sent a technician that fixed the issue for an hour then it died again. The day after, i called the front desk and they sent a technician for the 2nd time, who told me this time that i either need to change my room or let him replace the entire air conditioner unit which will take 2-3 hours. Since it was 9 PM,i suggested he will enter my room during the day while i am at work and replace the unit, the technician confirmed and said he will come back the day after. a day passes by, i come back from work at around 9:30PM , and the air conditioner is still dead. I go to the front desk and they appologize and suggest to replace my room, i agree to do it the day after. [Water leakage] Overnight, at around 3AM i hear the sound of drops.. i turn on the light, and there is a WATER LEAKING FROM THE CEILING directly into my open luggage!!! I had to empty my luggage in the middle of the night and put it upside down to dry. clothes are now wet and stinky! The hotel management appologized and changed my room immediately. The managers (Anthony / Alonso) suggested to take my clothes and send them to the dry cleaning and so i did.. I thought that this will be the last incident i'll have..but of course i was wrong! [The noisiest room] Next, They put me in a new room which had a scenic view to the Bay, but unfortunately located next to the elevator which is the busiest area in the floor. Quickly enough i realized that the Elevator is not the only problem in the room, because right next to the elvator there's the floor's vending and ice machines which was used 24/7 so it was probabely the noisiest room in the hotel. (Who doesn't like to wake up in 2AM to the sound of a coca-cola bottle dropping of a vending machine right next to your door?) In that room (2701) i also had neighboors who: - brought a dog and put the dog in the balcony for hours, - smoked a bunch of blunts and threw the butts on my side of the balcony - Partied all night with loud music (till 4 AM) even though i called the front desk and the front desk confirmed that they will take care of it (which they never did. obviously!) [Keys that never works] Over a week or so, Digital key (Hilton app) wouldn't work anymore. I had to ask for Physical keys, which unfortunately didn't work more than once or twice. Eventually i had to go to the front desk and replace my Physical keys about 5-6 times in a week. [Elevator with a surprise!] At te evenings, you'll enjoy a long waiting line to the elevator. one of the evenings i waited in the lobby for 20 min just to get into an elevator! Eventually it seems like taking the elavator is slower than taking the stairs But that's not all, one day the elevator door opened and a revealed a very surprised couple who had sex inside the elevator!! (March 27th around midnight) So, if your'e into kinky sex scens you might want to wait for the elevator after all. [Overcharged] To make this stay epic - the final reciept shown that i've been overcharged $605 for parking that i never used!!! Called the accounting department and they admitted their mistake. [Conclusion] SOMTHING NEEDS TO CHANGE IN THIS HOTEL! and i say that as a Hilton Diamond club member who spent 100+ nights in the last year only. Due to tis stay, I am currently re-considering keeping my Diamond status, already registered to IHG and Marriot for my next stays.

Cons: I booked via kayak and which routed me via priceline. I paid extra for a queen bed with a bayview on a premium floor. However when I got to the hotel they said there is no such combination only the king beds have that combination. They either had a city view on a premium floor or a bay view on a low floor - where you could not see the bay. After some negotiating I settled on a double bed on the 18th floor with a bayview. Be careful when booking thru third party sites, it seems the descriptions are misleading.
