Pros: Hotel was well maintained and in a good location. Reserving through Kayak was a mistake.
Cons: Kayak sold this reservation as a King Size bed. When I arrived the hotel provided me with a downgraded room and two queens. Not exactly what my wife and I had in mind for our 10 year anniversary. Next time I will purchase direct from the hotel (or any hotel for that matter) to have my room guaranteed.

Cons: The only problem we had was with valet that we told the front desk and they forgot to tell the valet guys and 45 minutes later waiting for the car we approached the guys at the valet and they had no idea that we were waiting for the car. But it wasn’t their fault. They were very nice.

Pros: The room is very nice and modern. The front desk staff were very nice. The shampoo and conditioner they provide smell amazing. And the fitness center was very nice.
Cons: The glass shower in the middle of the room is just plain weird. There are not a lot of people I want to see shower. It just feels intimate in a very out-of-place kind of way. My friend and I went out for the evening and came back for an nightcap at the bar. Much to our disappointment, they did 'last call' early, so we missed out on a final drink. It feels like a new hotel needs to create some consistency if it hopes to catch on. The hotel seems very focused on the pool and making the 'pool scene' a thing. The cabanas, the artfully arranged pillows, the champagne buckets. It felt like they were trying too hard to woo locals, as opposed to cater to hotel guests. And there were a lot of staff standing around talking to each other whenever I was in the lobby or at the front desk. I often felt like I, as the guest, was interrupting their work. :)

Pros: The hotel was beautiful and the rooms were very clean. The staff were all pleasant, professional and very helpful. The hotel is in a great location. It's a very short walk to great restaurants, shopping and Petco Park. I would definately stay here again.
Cons: Parking at the hotel was very expensive ($47 per day). The rooms were a little small for the cost of them and it would have been nice if there was a mini-fridge in them. There is also no "sundries" store, so if you want a drink or a snack there is no where to get that. We also called for room service and no one answered the phone.
This family-friendly San Diego hotel is located near the airport, within a 10-minute walk of Petco Park and New Children's Museum. Gaslamp Quarter Station is only a 3-minute walk and Convention Center Station is 6 minutes.

Cons: Too expensive for what you get plus we had maintenance problems with no apology from the hotel. When you're paying $380 a night this is unacceptable! There are other hotels within the same block, we will stay there next time and I suggest others do the same. I like nice things and don't mind paying for them but will not return to this Omni and will not recommend it!

Great proximity to the convention center. Staff was accommodating. Concierge and valet staff were very knowledgeable on good places to eat/see in San Diego and other surrounding vicinities such as La Jolla, Coronado, etc. Also, got a little discount on zoo tickets by purchasing them at the hotel.
Cons: Valet parking is a little steep. They charge $40.00/day. I agree they should charge for the service as its quicker and easier for someone to park your car and bring it to you, but $40.00/day is a little high. On the upside, you can use it as much as you want.

Pros: Excellent service--definitely well attended and pampered. Beds are comfortable and maid service spot on. The location of the hotel makes it peaceful, good views, and quiet. But it requires driving around to the beach, any activities, and food is extremely limited in options/budget choices for miles.
Cons: There are two parts of the resort, a distance apart on a hill. While they are great about providing shuttles, it does really make a difference. The Summit: where the kids club room is located, so it was important for us to be here. But the pool is smaller, and the spa/restaurant are a distance away. The Meadows: feels a bit swankier, the main lobby of the hotel where to get beach equipment and movies. So staying here might be more central/convenient. NIcer pool and longer food service for pool.

Pros: If you rent a car, the location is perfect, giving you easy access to everywhere in the San Diego vicinity. Except at the heaviest traffic times, everything is less than 25 minutes away by car. I can see not having a car being an issue, and I'm not sure how convenient Uber or Lyft is in the city. The hotel was very modern with a large lobby area complete with large tables that have multiple ports for your laptop or tablets. There is a really nice fireplace with 6-7 TVs and multiple seats that are somewhat outdoors and overlooks the pool. They had multiple sports games on at once. The rooms are new, clean, and while they have a basic design, they include a mini-fridge and a microwave, which a lot of "nicer" hotels are lacking. There is also the standard Holiday Inn Express breakfast included, which is nothing special but still a very nice feature. Unless you absolutely need to be in the Gaslamp Quarter or within walking distance of a particular place, I would highly recommend this hotel.
Cons: I'm sure this is a standard San Diego policy but the hotel charges 18 dollars a day for parking on site. I saw that in the gaslamp quarter these prices were closer to $35 dollars a night. Just keep that in mind if you are on a budget. That being said, our car rental was very reasonable ($110 for a full size car x 4 days) and I still think its worth having your own car as the sights to see in San Diego are very spread apart.

Pros: Great Hotel situated very close to the Waterfront and downtown San Diego. Easy to get to. I walked away from the cruise port which was only four blocks away.

The check-in process took a ridiculously long time. The restaurant food was acceptable. However, when we went there to order food to-go, the person at the front told us to ask the bartender, yet the bar was jam-packed. I don't know why he couldn't have taken our order straight away. That would have made way more sense. The "Starbucks coffee" served at the cafe was disgusting and a far cry from the real thing! The room and amenities were good. Location and walkability were excellent.

Pros: Overall I enjoyed my stay at the Sheraton. I stayed in the Bay Tower. The hotel was very quiet and relaxing. My room had a great view of the bay and the balcony was large. The hotel is located closer to the airport, so you don't get a lot of street noise or foot traffic (which adds to the quiet/relaxed vibe of the hotel). The room was large/spacious. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was spacious. The room was very well decorated. The staff was very friendly and professional. Initially, I was placed in a room on the 2nd floor which is the lobby level, i.e. ground floor. When I got to the room, I didn't like the location, so I called guest services and requested a new room. They were more than accommodating, and moved me to a higher level.
Cons: The balcony furniture needs to be updated. I enjoyed the balcony, however, the furniture is cheap in comparison to everything else in the room. The resort fee seems unnecessary. I was charged a fee, but never told what was included with the fee. The price increases for higher floors (so my room change cost me more money per day). The rooms could be cleaner. As nice as the hotel was, the room needed to be dusted. There was dust everywhere (on the coffee maker, in the mini bar, on the lamps, and on the remote control). It appeared as if the room hadn't been used in a while.

Pros: Parking is $30, which seems to be the norm in California! The deposit required on the room was about 80 dollars more than the actual room called cost me. The staff seemed rude when I decided to pay this in cash rather than the normal credit card. The next day at checkout they took about 20 to 30 minutes to "check" my room and make sure I didn't take a ten dollar candy bar. Then finally paid me my cash deposit back in small bills so I felt like I was going to a strip club. Not to mention this is next to a Navy Base with constant helicopter traffic. As a combat veteran on an anniversary date of a brother's death the helicopters reinforced some horrible memories. The one pool we found was in good shape. Everything is super expensive there and they really like to charge you for any fee they can. I would not go back nor recommend it to anyone. I actually left a night early and forfeited my paid night because I didn't want to be there.

The location was fairly convenient - right across from the street from bay, nice view, easy walk to Little Italy, Seaport Village, and a few ships across the street to tour. Hornblower was also close. There was a park right across the street with a splash pad and playground - great for kids. The staff was very nice an helpful. Pool was clean and enjoyable. It was very nice to have a balcony and get fresh air in the room. The deli downstairs was very convenient. As was having Ruths Christ which had great happy hours.
Cons: I know the facility was previously a Holiday Inn - so it's not the higher-end Wyndham you may think of. While the overall cleanliness of the property was great, be aware that there are 3 "towers" and you may be a short walk from the lobby. The overall property is not all fenced off, but the hotel does have safety features. The outside isn't that wonderful, but it's do-able.

Cons: The hotel room was very underwhelming for the price point. The bathrooms were outdated and not the cleanest. We had asked the cleaning staff to come back later on our first day and they didn’t until our 3rd day being there, which was rather disappointing. The outdoor pool is beautiful, but isn’t heated so that was another let down.

Pros: The hotel was clean and was in a great location. We ran the San Diego Marathon and you couldn't get closer to the end of the race. The room was nice and big. It was mostly enjoyable.
Cons: The pool and facilities seem a little dated and maybe need some freshening up. The rooms in the tower we were in (Tower III) could all be interconnected. The room next to us had very young children and we could hear every last thing they said through the adjoining door. Not really the kids' fault per se, but something to be aware of if you are looking for a relaxing getaway. Parking at the hotel was kind of a pain.

Pros: Location was perfect, service was exceptional. David, who was on the front desk when we arrived, was outstanding. He gave us great recommendations for restaurants and other activities in the hotel and the surrounding area. Housekeeping was outstanding, with turndown, chocolates, And room set up with lighting and mood music upon return at the end of our days out. Concierge was very helpful with information and ticketing for tours. Great pool area on third story patio deck. One of the best hotel experiences we have had! We recommend it highly.

Dirty ice bucket containing a good amount of water/alcohol remains 5. Stepped on a very sharp furniture tack that must have come loose and was on the floor by my bed

Pros: Very classy, beautifully appointed hotel. Staff helpful, polite and wanted our stay to be as comfortable as possible. Our room was lovely and the turn down service was appreciated - especially the music playing and the low lighting when we returned in the evening. I agree the C street side of building a bit noisy, but would not deter me from staying there again when we are in San Diego. The valet was very prompt to deliver our car and 2 young men helped us with our luggage. We had room service breakfast.. Very, very good...Thank you for a lovely stay...

Pros: As mentioned, the location is excellent for walking around Little Italy and the Gaslamp district. The staff are friendly and helpful. I like the showers as they are quite spacious and can function as a mini-tub. Overall it was a clean and comfortable environment.
Cons: The room was aligned with the light rail. Every time a train left the adjacent station, the conductor tested the horn. It was too much noise for the hotel not to give us a heads up. Two stars for this "oversight".

Cons: There was a few (2) pieces of trash on my bed when I got there (a piece of tissue and a cap to a water bottle). The thermostat dial was broken and I immediately had to call for a repair. My room was directly over train tracks that ran ALL NIGHT LONG!
