San Diego motels

Pros: The common areas and rooms were very clean. The lobby was big and beautiful. Nice Spanish theme.

Pros: For travelors that actually travel, and not lounge, then you will enjoy this hotel for it's location. The hotel is two blocks from the transit center. The transit center is a hub for trains, trollies, and buses. The trolley system is fast, and can reach all of San Diego in minutes with an all day pass of $5. The pass is also good for most bus routes. Old Town is a block away, and has the best food in all of sd. Mission Beach is 15 minutes away. I spent my time in the Gaslamp District and Old Town, and traveled with ease! Also, there is a liquor/mini store 3 blocks away for saving on meals, but most of Old Town has happy hours with super good deals on lots of food. Staff was kind, and room always fresh.

Pros: The Inn was on walking distance from cosy Old Town and the Old Town Trolley station. The rooms were spacious and adequately clean.

Pros: The room was really lovely, I'm thankful there was a coffee maker, ironing board, and all the amenities I needed. The bed was so comfortable I had a really difficult time getting up in the morning.... it was like sleeping on clouds. I wish i got to stay longer, so I will definitely be back to The Atwood on my next trip to the area.

Pros: Loved the location! Very close to the beach and near many delicious restaurants. There were also nice bars within walking distance that my friend and I (ages 24 & 25) had a great time at. The staff was friendly and rooms were neat and clean. Not too bad of a drive to downtown. Overall a great place!

Pros: The staff members were very accommodating. They had run out of towels and promised to deliver them right away. They brought them and apologized for not having them when I first asked. There were muffins, pastries, and fresh coffee in the office each morning. The pool was very clean and mutt kids loved it. It was very close to the beach and waking distance to shops and places to eat. Staff suggested a few places to eat that turned out to be great.

Pros: I'm rating this on the fact we were given an updated room. Room was clean, new and plenty big enough for 2 adults, 12yr old and 5yr old. Can't beat the location and free parking! No resort fees no weird add ons... We will stay again and already planning next trip. We walked to dinner and lunch places everyday, tons of options close by.

Pros: It is a small hotel in a quiet area of a nice beach town, very short walk to one of the easiest beach accesses, and a beautiful view of the beach from the top of the cliff as well. It is also a short walk to numerous eateries and shops and the main street of Pacific Beach. We stayed in a queen deluxe room that has been partially renovated. It was very spacious, with high ceilings and pleasant decor. It was maintained adequately though showing signs of age and effects of the moist ocean environment. Very nice TV in beautiful piece of furniture that also has 3 large drawers for clothes, etc. Though not a complete breakfast, an assortment of high quality pastries was offered each a.m. along with several juices and teas; hot coffee was available throughout the day. The staff was wonderful - always cheerful, helpful and kept the grounds spotless throughout the day. Having covered parking was a plus as was the pool. When my aging mother injured her leg on our last day at the beach and could no longer walk upstairs, they found us a room on the lower level and helped us change rooms at 10 p.m. - we really appreciated their attentiveness to our needs. One building has front patios with round tables and chairs - nice feature if you are in that building, and pleasant to look at even if you're in the other building. It's just a pleasant, relaxing place to stay while enjoying the beach and surrounding San Diego area.

Pros: Was just at pacific shores inn at end of June 2014. This hotel turned out to be nicer than I had expected. Not a glamorous place but it's a beach town and the hotel has a beach shanty sort of feel. Room was clean & bathroom had been recently renovated and was very pretty. Ultimately the biggest plus is the proximity to the ocean. Literally half a block and you're there. Also some good restaurants and shopping within walking distance. I was there with my teenage and college aged children and they both said they'd come back here next year.

Pros: It was a decent location with several restaurants in walking distance and of course the beach very near by. I was worried about parking when I saw the number of spots but we never had a problem finding an open spot.

Pros: Nice location on beachside of larger street (250 yds from beach), noice not bad at all. Ocean glimpse from most rooms, nice patio with chairs and table just outside room, motel style with rooms one stair up Continental breakfast just a muffin. Bonus is fridge and micro in room.

Pros: Price was nice and amenities are simple. If you want an affordable hotel with the basics then this is the place. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Like the on site security and gate. Elevator worked fine. Fridge in room. Shower had hot water, two towels, shampoo & soap dispensers. TV worked fine, AC worked once I plugged it in. Bed was okay, like I said it did the job of what I needed for the night.

Pros: Location was great, and of course we stayed here because of price. Overall we were happy with our stay.

Pros: It was a good experience, I would stay here again, they have hairdryer and other necessities available in the front desk just ask politely, friendly staff, high security for your vehicle and enter/ exit the building, fridge provided only no microwave i had to constantly visit the groceries store.

Pros: Bring your own towels..Theres are VERY thin and cheesy =( NO FREE WIFI...Who does that?! weird...BUT whatev's..it cheap, clean and serves its purpose. It aint the 4 seasons, BUT The steak house up the street is GREAT! Get the sirloin burger! Go eat yourself into a coma and pass out in your room ;)

Pros: It was a good place to go sleep and then leave. The staff was nice when I came in, the pricing was cheaper than most places so I paid about 120 for 3 evenings, and it had clean towels everyday. The heater was also nice and worked very well! :)

Pros: The room was clean and nice. We were right outside the pool and barely heard the noise outside. Checkin was fast and easy as was check out. And the breakfast was very nice lots of food.

Pros: The bed was adequate. There is a microwave and minifridge in each room. The coffee in the lobby was tasty. Upon arrival, the rooms smelled (strongly) recently disinfected, which is both good and bad, as they required airing out for 20 minutes before settling in. It helped to run the air conditioner to circulate the air.

Pros: This motel isn't in the best location, because it's right under the freeway overpass and right next to the train. But I'm not gonna lie this motel was so clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. And if you don't want to spend so much on a nicer motel I recommend you just stay here.
