Cons: The staff is rude and any problems is solved by arguing that the customer is wrong. If you stay at the hotel you must love trains since you listen to them until 02:00 and then they start in the morning again. The hotel did not succeed at any point from checking in to check out.

The hotel is located in a quiet residential neighborhood with lots of restaurant options. A nice side street within a 1 minute walk contains a convenience store and a number of dining options. We even found a reasonably priced laundromat within 5 minutes of the hotel and this offered an alternative to the hotel's pricey laundering service.

Cons: The light switches are a complicated puzzle consisting of two main switches that must be turned on at all times in order for any other night and a couple of plugs to work. We found one of the main switches on the first night. Unfortunately, on the last night we returned from dinner to discover none of our lights would turn on. When we requested help from the front desk, a guy came up, tried a few switches and basically told us "sorry about your luck."
The next day I addressed the situation with the front desk and that's when we discovered the OTHER main switch that has to be turned on at all times. So when I asked the lady at the desk why the man from last night didn't fix it, her response was "well, he's new." Not a great answer. We didn't even recieve an apology. A disappointing end to an otherwise pleasant stay. Hopefully they will train new employees better in the future.

Cons: The room was a little cramped for 2 people but that's too be expected by European standards I suppose. There was one day where our room wasn't cleaned but the front desk staff took it upon themselves to replenish the bathroom towels and make up the bed. Some wear and tear on the room but it is an older hotel so that can't be held against them. The hotel's laundry service was a tad bit pricey.

Cons: It was a bit small, but all newly renovated. Our cards for the door failed the door every single day and we had to go back downstairs to have them reset. Turns out if you have them next to a phone or key they stop walking, whoever the receptionist never told us even when I asked why this keeps happening. The room was clean but the soap container was empty when we arrived and wasn’t replaced for three days. We used the soap from the shower which was fine.

The parallel street of Rue Daguerre also offers plenty of small grocery shops, bakeries and restaurants.

Cons: When we arrived to check in, the family that arrived at the same time had their booking matched to ours. It was very bizzare , even though we explained that we were two separate families and there were two separate bookings, both were classified as one. Only 1 email address and 1 deposit was requested, this caused some problems with checkin. We were not made aware that breakfast had to be pre-ordered the night before it was required, though there is a really nice boulangerie close by.

Cons: Not enough staff were working the day we landed because it was a sunday, there was only 1 person there at the time.
The rooms were VERY small, my husband and I couldnt move around without bumping into each other. The AC was not working and once it started we had to wake up from sleep and turn it on every other hour because it would turn off on its own. The bathroom was so tiny that you would flood the entire place if you simply had a shower and there werent enough towels for 2 persons.

One Sunday night we got back to the hotel after 1:00am and the doors were locked and I staff were around. We called the hotel 5 times and knocked on the door for 10 mins before someone let us in.

Staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful. Our room was light and airy, was very clean and had the most enormous comfortable bed. Tea and coffee making faciities were very welcome. The breakfast was adequate but a bit pricey for what was offered, our only criticism.

Pros: Location was good. Check-in was fast.
Cons: Before the last night, all the towels from my room were missing. I asked at the reception for some but they didn't had any, although, the guy from the reception brought us 2 towels in about 20 min. Thank you. Some other weird rules: - Have to leave the key at the hotel desk every time you leave the hotel - During the last day, in the morning I wasn't allowed to go to the bakery (I was going to do the checkout later) without paying the whole stay. (They had all my information, e.g. card, passport info etc)

Pros: This small hotel is in a quiet residential area, near Montparnasse. Less than 10 minutes walk to the nearest Metro, plenty of restaurants, bars and brasseries.
