Cons: I liked everything about this hotel.
6.7 Good
Pros: Very nice clean room and nice bathroom
Cons: Breakfast finished to early so we missed it and no option of extending check out which we needed as we had an appointment later in the day and bedroom doors had no sound proofing and could hear every word being spoken outside the bedroom
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were just super. Friendly, attentive and just wanted you to enjoy your stay.
Cons: Only thing that let it down was the grouting in the shower. It gave it a look of not being clean which actually was.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely old character building, the room was so clean and recently refurbished. The bedding was crisp clean and fresh. The staff were really friendly, and looked after your every need. Evening meal was lovely, as was breakfast. Who didn't like warm croissants ?
Cons: No toilet brush in my room
6.0 Good
Pros: Great food. Comfortable room.
Cons: I was kept awake until at least 4 am by ducks quacking. Never knew ducks were nocturnal. Mentioned in the morning and told a duck had been attacked recently by a fox, which had left physical and mental scars. So it quacks all night. The duck is being rehomed so hopefully won't affect others. Still a good curtain instead of a blind would help reduce noise.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cooked breakfast. Owners lovely.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice room. Great shower. Excellent breakfast.
Cons: Bathroom a bit small. Busy main road to front. But we did not notice from our room at back.

Pros: We had our group Xmas party night here and it was great! Staff looked after us well and the food was good. It’s a lovely quaint hotel, very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. I had a lovely room, very stylish but most importantly very comfortable as it was refurbished to a high spec. Highly recommend and will be sure to stay again!
Cons: A minor thing really... Hotel is on a main road so was a little bit noisy in the room assigned.

Pros: Lovely and clean, almost boutique style which was fab. The room was massive and had everything and more. Netflix is an added bonus!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We booked this room last minute and weren't sure what to expect. Great location from Gatwick airport only 5 minutes in a taxi. Excellent rooms very spacious and clean and modern. Smart TV and warm rooms, bathroom was great shower was powerful enough for a decent shower. Had a continental breakfast - toast, pastries, cereals, a selection of fruit, tea, coffee and juices available. Excellent value and a bonus that it is included in the price of room. Price is not over what you would expect for such a lovely place to stay. Staff were so friendly and helpful really made it feel like a home away from home. Very family friendly.
Cons: Nothing everything was amazing.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The people working at the inn were absolutely lovely. They went out of their way to make me comfortable and give me anything I needed for my visit. The room was well decorated and the bed quite comfortable. The breakfast (included) and dinner were delicious.
Cons: The only thing I would suggest is using Uber over the suggested taxi company, as of the two taxis I took from the hotel (that the innkeeper called for me), neither took credit card. They should have, but both insisted on cash. This was not the innkeeper's fault, but if you prefer to use credit card, go with Uber, just in case.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Spacious and comfortable bedding. Nicer than expected breakfast. Nice staff.
Cons: Breakfast was slower. Be sure to save time.
7.0 Good
Pros: The room was very small, but clean and quite functional.
Cons: Costumer service could be improved
5.0 Okay
Pros: Comfortable bed. Good parking.
Cons: Room totally different from the advertised. Stayed in a shed.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! Great customer service
Cons: Cheaper restaurant in the hotel
6.0 Good
Pros: This hotel is really lovely, in a beautiful setting - huge room, sky movies included and great food served in the restaurants - especially the Pass. We had a lovely meal there and excellent service. The spa itself was lovely - great main pool (we had to ourselves at one point!) and a lovely warm outdoor pool, loved the salt steam room in particular. The changing rooms for the spa are the best I've ever seen, all staff were pleasant. Our bedroom was massive with a great shower and even a TV over the bath! (Per below - our complaints about the service were dealt with by the management and we did get a bit of the money back without any pushback).
Cons: The nut allergy which we flagged to staff 2 hours earlier was ignored, which then lead to a pretty dramatic entrance to our private spa room as we were getting undressed.. not being able to use half the oils kinda then ruined the experience really, wish we had known this beforehand as it was a bit of a wasted experience tbh. After the bamboo massage (which was great though) we were led to the 'relaxation room' in which 2 women were chatting very loudly across the room - so we left after 5 mins. Not the best end to an otherwise great massage, which was a shame. The bed was only a king, which felt a bit odd considering the vast size of the room, and the sheets were a little bit scratchy. We got woken up both days at 9am, 1st day by housekeeping (despite us staying for 2 nights). We had tried to locate a DND sign the night before, but there was no card and so we figured it would be ok with them knowing we were there for 2 nights/this being 5 star hotel etc... The do not disturb sign was apparently the tie on the teddybear (obviously..!). On the 2nd day we were awoken by the fire alarm (which can't be helped of course), but this made us realise there were no signs guiding the route out once you left the room .. so that was a bit of a stressful start to the day. Thank god it was just a drill! We also ordered some wellies on the Saturday to walk around the grounds (an option on the in-room ipad) and there was never arrived/no follow up on that. The breakfast at the spa took over an hour to deliver (basically toast) despite not being very busy, and then they brought our drinks after we'd finished eating. It was a pretty chaotic experience, but luckily in a really beautiful setting. Our complaints were dealt with professionally on check-out, but in hindsight, and since realising a couple of other minor points, it wasn't enough of a discount tbh.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely location, exquisite food, luxury weekend to remember.
Cons: More bottled water in the room would have been nice.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The spa is fantastic. We booked very last minute so couldn't get into the two "main" restaurants for dinner so eat at the botanical restaurant in the spa. The food was amazing and well priced and I think on our next visit I would choose to eat here again.
Cons: At breakfast I had to ask for butter for the toast as it didn't seem to be delivered with the toast and there was none available at the buffet. Obviously very minor complaint but I do love butter!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The excellent provided by all of the staff
Cons: Nothing we loved everything and have booked again
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: We arrived at 12 and our room was ready for check in.
Cons: We arrived at South Lodge with one goal in mind: get changed and spend the afternoon by the pool. When we arrived, at around noon, we headed straight to the SPA only to find the pool was absolutely crammed with people, with not a single bed free for us. We decided to go to lunch and check the pool afterwards. Again it was so crammed we couldn’t find a single bed free for us, so our only option was to head back to our room. We came back in the afternoon at 4PM, but the situation was anything but improved. We previously booked a massage at 4:50PM so we had to wait around for 50 minutes as we couldn’t again access the pool area. We complained to the Spa and hotel manager, who explained how busy it usually gets on weekends due to local memberships, hotel guests, outside guests and so on. He offered us to be able to spend a few extra hours on the Sunday to make up for the issue (without even knowing if on Sunday it was going to be less busy) which wasn't a feasible option for us as we had to get back home, and we did tell him that right away. It’s also not a great solution considering we could still use the pool up to 11AM as this was our check out time. Again we told him that, but he couldn’t do anything else for us. So, what we were left with was a hefty bill of 319GBP for a stay (plus 250GBP for two massages, and 91GBP for food) which we weren't able to enjoy at all, given the only reason we decided to stay at South Lodge was the pool and heated area of the SPA. This was supposed to be a very special and celebratory weekend for us (birthday & first pregnancy) and the hotel was notified months in advance, and it turned out to be extremely upsetting and stressful. It is not acceptable that paying hotel guests cannot enjoy the SPA and pool facilities during their stay due to external visitors. We were literally only able to spend 1 hour at the pool (after our massage and before rushing to dinner!).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Dog friendly, fab barman, dogs allowed in the bar, amazing pool
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a beautiful hotel set in 93 acres with huge rooms, lovely staff and a fantastic high tea! Brand new gym, pool and spa are fabulous
Cons: We didn’t know that “splash times” in the pool were only from 4-5pm in the afternoon....kids were disappointed

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location for exploring in and around Horsham, and Springfields hotel was a very pleasant surprise. The breakfast was excellent and the staff very friendly, we would definitely stay here again.
Cons: With such a spacious room I would add a small sofa to sit on as well as a chair.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Sewage stench from bathroom drains. Bedding not sufficient and cheap and too small for the bed. No heating at night. Curtains broken. Very noisy. No reception at 5pm. Had to lock up the entire building ourselves! Not safe. No one at reception. Breakfast staff available for 2 hours then again no staff on site. Not safe at all and not worth £100 per night! Premier inn is cheaper. Better breakfast and more comfortable but mostly, safe! Old dated furnishings and carpeting.
7.0 Good
Pros: Everything was very good except the below.
Cons: Shower curtains should be replaced with glass screens Breakfast should start at 7am or an exclusion should be allowed in the booking. We had to leave at 7.30am for a flight and breakfast was charged but not available until 8am. This is too late.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Our bedroom in Springfields Hotel was spacious and comfortable, with a large ensuite bathroom. A full English breakfast was included in the 100 GBP rate: excellent value. The hotel is very close to the centre of Horsham which would be convenient for anyone without their own transport. This small hotel is very clean and run by very congenial staff. It is next door to The Malt Shovel pub where an evening meal can be found. Great value!
Cons: Nothing.

Pros: Comfy beds. Clean. Modern bathroom. Quiet street. Could open windows at night without being disturbed. Got UK Adapter for charging our phones. Friendly stuff
Cons: 1)Way to the entrance is not trolleyfriendly.we had to Carry our bags from the sidewalk over the parking slot. 2)Costs for airport shuttle (5-8£ one way) 3)Extra Cost for hot breakfast and normal breakfast was really basic. Toast and Marmelade. Some fruits. Some cheap Joghurt. Some cereals with milk. 4) small sink next to bed.
4.0 Okay
Pros: they kindly allowed me to store my bags between check-out and my late afternoon flight. the bathroom was very clean. lovely house.
Cons: •WIFI: the wifi internet was super slow, and then shut down entirely. unacceptable in a developed country. •DIRTY: there was a old fan in the room that turned on, but didn't blow any air. the wiring around the fan was entirely coated in dust. disgusting. it clearly had not been cleaned in months, which shows a lack of attention to detail. •CHECKOUT: checkout is at 10am. considering people have afternoon flights, would it really kill them to allow guest to checkout at 11am or noon? i never heard of a 10am checkout at such a small guest house. •ODD: the owner quoted a 7 pound taxi to the airport but it was 8. i don't care about the money, but this again shows a lack of attention to detail considering they must send several people to the airport daily. not knowing the price of such a core part of the stay seems strange.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner was amazing. He explained everything, inspected the room with me, made sure I had everything I needed, even told me to go help myself in the breakfast room with anything I wanted as I was leaving very early in the morning. This is a very well managed guest house!

Pros: Excellent staff, Perfect location, the room was decorated to a high standard. I will stay at this guest house on future business trips. David from Sheffield.

Pros: Friendly host!
7.0 Good
Pros: Comfy bed and nice shower.
Cons: Walls very thin, can hear kids running up/down stairs and conversations in room above and to the side.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Even though we arrived after 8pm we could still easily get in to the building and our room key waiting for us. The room was clean, warm and very homely. The shower was hot and all the facilities worked. We were also asked if we wanted breakfast the next day and whether we wanted to book a taxi to get to the airport which I thought was very nice good customer service.
Cons: The left hand bedside table lamp in our room nr 8 buzzed unless it’s on full brightness. The dimmer switch perhaps needs attention. A part from that there wasn’t anything we didn’t like about staying here. Many thanks
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Quasim was friendly, attentive and very responsive. Very comfortable bed and clean room. Highly recommend for a transit stay.

5.4 Okay
Pros: Close to airport Bed very comfortable Lady serving breakfast extremely kind and polite. Breakfast ok
Cons: The woman on the desk greeting and arguing with me re the carpark fee. This was not taken at time of booking and I had read a message that said to a customer no charge of you are staying for the night. When I mentioned this she basically called me a liar! When she gave the room key she was very unhelpful to where my room was, and when i asked again; abruptly said I’ve told you already! I read good reviews on this place however due to the rudeness I will never stay again and will not recommend. There are plenty of guest houses along the same road which is close to the airport so plenty to choose from. Courtesy doesn’t cost anything. In this case tho, rudeness lost you a customer
7.5 Good

Cons: Not big enough but fair for the price

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful. Went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. Our room was stunning and everything felt very luxurious.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We had our group Xmas party night here and it was great! Staff looked after us well and the food was good. It’s a lovely quaint hotel, very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. I had a lovely room, very stylish but most importantly very comfortable as it was refurbished to a high spec. Highly recommend and will be sure to stay again!
Cons: A minor thing really... Hotel is on a main road so was a little bit noisy in the room assigned.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: I really want to clone that bathroom in my house! A really well designed and laid out room. The whole layout of the main room was great too!

Pros: Spacious room and bathroom, breakfast was large and freshly cooked. It was a long cold journey but staff were welcoming and friendly throughout my stay.
Cons: I had difficulty locking the door from the outside
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff, comforting bed and room, and a great, accessible location in the heart of Horsham.
