Cons: A games room would be good (table football, table tennis, pool etc) - we came with kids who'd have loved that in the evening

Cons: Very basic continental breakfast. Dinner menu was very meat heavy. Service during dinner was not very attentive.

Pros: Fabulous location. We had a bunk bed room for 6 of us which was spacious. Toilets and showers downstairs. Catering or self catering options. The staff were stand out brilliant. Knowledgeable about the local area, helpful and so friendly.

Cons: Kitchen wasn't operating during our stay.

Cons: Very tight car parking space (but it's easy to park on the road).

Pros: Good yha standard, cooked breakfast & cold buffet. Staff polite & hard working, if a little under manned for busy hostel weekend. Comfortable yha standard, dorm room, bunks & shower.

Cons: The wifi didn't reach to the annexe we were allocated a dorm, so no internet whilst in room & uncovered carpark to cross to get connected. We weren't given the front door code, with checkin not until 5pm so no access to toilet, sit down, make a drink or deposit luggage; after long journey.

Pros: It is close to restaurants and shops along the street. The shared room was large. There were other places to hang out in the hostel other than the room

Cons: The overnight temperature in the room was just too hot, even with the windows open. There was only 4 of us in the room and it was still too hot, with no other options to cool down.

Pros: Friendly, helpful staff

Cons: Very small room-we had to take turns to stand up, and no storage. Nowhere to sit after our evening meal. Lounge facilities were inadequate for number of guests.

Cons: For a hostel it is very expensive. Although most accomodations in the area are very expensive. If you look for something cheaper you can stay in Sheffield and take the bus to peak district (40 minutes, a few connections a day)

Pros: Lovely building and great location, basic as you’d expect from a YHA but makes up for it with very low price, well equipped kitchen.

Cons: The self catering facilities are separate to the main building and are, to be fair, somewhat outdated.

Pros: It was clean tidy and the service was lovely! Also they have the cutest dog to welcome you at reception! The toilets and shower were clean, and the bed were comfortable. There is also a little radiator in the room to add an extra bit of warmth.

Cons: It was a shame that only one of the two showers was working. It is important to bear in mind that the property is old, so the floor boards so creek and it’s only single glazed, but apart from that it was fab! Oh and the there could have been more loo roll in the toilets... they did run out fairly fast

Cons: The pub and thus the restaurant are not open on Mondays. There was a bit of difficulty organising an early checkout and breakfast on the day we left.

Pros: The Bull is a really friendly place that made me, my friend and her dog very welcome. We arrived wet and muddy, but showers were superb and we soon were warm and clean. Evening meal was excellent as well.

Pros: Great location, great staff, great food. This was my second time at the Ladybower Inn The staff really looked after me I can't praise them enough very welcoming and very friendly. I will be back there soon

Pros: I was very pleased with the facilities at the Ladybower Inn, the room was well equiped. I enjoyed great food in the dining room - both for dinners and breakfasts, all was well cooked and nicely served.

Pros: A brilliant place within good proximity of some fantastic walks. The staff were brilliant and the food service was fast and delicious. The shower and cleaning products were absolutely spot on as were the rooms generally

Pros: Beautiful building, recently renovated. Views from every window I looked through were picturesque. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was delicious. Very pleased with the price (shocked at the high level of quality and value for money to be honest!). Great location, just a few minutes walk from railway station and with lots of beautiful walks and countryside very close by. Could not praise this hotel highly enough.

Pros: The area and building, breakfast was good. Staff was great, very helpful.

Cons: The cleanliness, dog hairs in stairways and cobwebs in room. Only enough hot water for one bath in the morning. Ran the tap and waited for more like recommended, but none came. Very cold in the night even with heating on. Meal size was small evening meal for price.

Pros: The staff were exceptionally polite and helpful, despite the difficulties they were facing with the coronavirus and limited numbers. I liked the view from the lower restaurant which and the gardens looked beautiful

Cons: There was no breakfast extras laid out like cereals, fruit juice and yoghurt, although could ask for extras. The décor seemed a bit tired in places but it was all kept very beautifully.

Cons: If I’m being picky the bed was too soft for me and it would of been handy to of had a boot brush outside to get the worst of the mud off, although all walkers are welcome even with muddy boots

Pros: Fabulous breakfast with lots of choice. Cereals, yogurts, toast and the option of a cooked breakfast, or something lighter like beans on toast, eggs on toast, etc. Coffee, tea and a selection juices and spreads. Room was so relaxing and comfortable, the shower was excellent, which was much needed after a long day walking in the peaks. Lisa the host was very friendly and helpful. The view from our room was lovely. The owners have a bar as part of the guest house which is a lovely addition. Will definitely be returning. There was on-site parking and you were given your own key to come and go as you pleased without having to hand it back in. There was a huge selection of hot drinks in the room and a kettle. The owners have taken water bottles out of the room to try and reduce single use plastic and there are hand soap and body washes to utilise in refillable pump bottles.......this is fab to see........maybe go a little further and take away the single use hot drink sachets and just leave a kettle (I take my own everywhere anyway) but I am not putting that as a negative as the whole experience was fab. Thank you

Pros: Breakfast was excellent. Location in a very interesting village. Food in two of the local pubs The Miners Arms and The Bull was very good and large portions needed them after long walks. Tea rooms in village to grab coffees'.

Cons: Didn't realise when we booked that the shower room/toilet was in a corridor outside the bedroom but we were moved to a much nicer room which was en-suite as soon as it became available, The hosts were both very helpful.

Pros: The hosts where very polite and friendly, the food was great (breakfast) kept me full most of the day aha. We had our own bathroom with a shower and a bath, which was very clean and perfect for coming back after long walks in the cold, just to soak in the bath. Our bedroom was very comfy, and tidy. All in all this place is very quiet and secluded, when we was walking through the village it was soooo quiet it was creepy I'm not used to outdoors being so quiet aha, anyway I highly recommend innisfree cottage, Eyam is a beautiful little town filled with history and community.

Pros: Arrived on the day the govt announced all pubs were closing that evening due to the coronavirus. The pub still did us lovely breakfasts for the next 2 mornings and in the evening. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially given the bad news about their livelihoods.

Pros: The room was spotlessly clean and the food and hosting was great in the pub. Can not fault it.

Cons: The noise outside was horrendous! For a relaxing stay in the King Size Premier (room 7) which I paid £110.70 for, I didnt realise it was on the main road. The traffic noise was persistent all night. They had double glazed windows but the walls were a wooden partition on the roadside. It was like staying in a lay bay on the M25!! Not worth the money. When my partner mentioned it at breakfast about the noise they staff members response was. "yes it it noisy, you clealy didnt drink enough!!" This was not the response that I would class as a response from someone in hospitality. I myself and partner run a bar/restaurant and this is not what I would of expected. For the price of that room,, it is not value for money.

Pros: There's a reasonable selection of beers and spirits. The food was lovely although £7.50 for a small dessert was steep I thought and £15 a night for the dog was also more than we normally pay. Overall, despite the awful weather, we enjoyed our stay very much.

Cons: The cost of food and drink was high for what you got. The room was also up a fire escape which wasn't ideal in wet weather.

Pros: Beautiful room, excellent food, welcoming staff and proper "guv'nor" making sure all was as it should be. Would definitely like to return.

Cons: Little way out of town, made up for by views. As most guests seemed to be walkers, we don't think that would be a problem for most and the restaurant food was varied and tasty.

Pros: The food was some of the best I've had, the room was really nicely finished, the shower was excellent and the staff were very accommodating. Always ample parking even though it was constantly busy.

Cons: It was such a lovely stay so this is VERY picky - would be nice to have a small lamp in the room rather than having to rely on the big lights!
