Boston hotels in Charlestown

Pros: Everything. The view is incredible, how big the room is, the bed is very comfortable, the people who works here are super nice and friendly. The hotel has this feeling of the old style American hotels and this is great, i am tired of super modern and shiny looking hotels where everything looks like from the future, without a soul. And sitting by the fire at the loby in the evening is very relaxing and calming.

Cons: For breakfast it would be nice to have bit bigger variety or to change some options from day to day. The basics are oatmeal, eggs, waffles, but no vegetables at all. This is a 3 star hotel and it is not supposed to have super breakfast, I get it, but they could change the choice of fruits for example. In general it is not a big thing, just a suggestion. The coffee and oatmeal are really good though.

Pros: I like that it was reliably corporate. I like that this Residence Inn is actively supporting Home Base Program for Veterans, I actually am impressed Marriott as a corporation chose this and hope there are more across the country. The room is fine but uncomfortable. I like that when the weather dropped to the teens, we could walk to a restaurant for chowder.

Cons: I think this Marriott is an older one. It's shabby. I booked the room way in advance, and then followed up with a phone call. I had two questions, the first was whether I could get Wholefoods delivered. I was told yes. What the fellow should have told me is that there were 'shopping lists' in every room and they could handle the details, I would pick it up at the desk. I got airsick on the flight to Boston, THIS piece of info would have saved me so much trouble. The other was that I was seeing my grandson and could we have a room above street/construction noise and see the boats. I miss boats. I was told that this request was no problem. We were put in a ADA compliant room, near the elevators and the housekeeping staff's space. One hears everything through that door and thin wall. This very sick person heard children happy sounds too early in the morning. This sick person did not have a working shower. This sick hear the gossip as housekeeping got to work. WE had to have someone fix the television. My mate fixed the shower. So I spent three days mostly in this room to get over vertigo and gut obstruction. There is no way a true handicap human could make this room work. The bathroom door swings out, just inches from the head of the bed and so, I am grateful I was with hubby only. There is no exhaust fan for the bathroom nor the kitchen area. Why? I've had nice rooms at La Quintas. The breakfast is mediocre at best. I've stayed at the Quality Inn, up on RT 1, much better breakfast and room.

Pros: Lovely hotel. - the kitchen and seating areas in our room were good. We had one of the PURE rooms - and it was excellent!

Cons: Breakfast rush at 8am meant there was no seats to sit and enjoy.

Pros: Nice location with an awesome view of the bridge and Boston Garden. Breakfast being included was an unexpected surprise and it was very good.

Cons: We did not use it, but the $50 per day parking is insane whether it is common for the area or not.

Cons: The staff was not friendly nor helpful. Especially one lady at the reciption. She was rude always intrusive in a negative way. Doing here best not to help or let others help..

Pros: Having a sitting area and a kitchenette. View of harbour and city.

Cons: The vanity sinks were outside the bathroom and located in the bedroom. The cupboards were broken.
