Cons: Cheaper breakfast

Cons: The only drawback was that everything has a cost. The coffee in your room is considered mini-bar and is a charge.

Cons: My room #632 was the size of my cruise ship suite. One suite case was kept in storage, no room!! Value for the money, not worth it.

Cons: Restaurant on the lower level is a bit bland but good quality. Ok for breakfast but Go out for dinner

Cons: The prices are very high. The facility is great particularly from a high floor with espectacular views of the sea and Barcelona. Breakfast was hard to get in the morning and had to wait to be seated But there are many bars and restaurants near by that we decided to use instead of waiting and dealing with the dart at the hotel to get service

Cons: Everything tries to have a super trendy vibe that just doesn't seem realistic. Too much loud music and emphasis on parties that seem over blown. The pricing for everything is easily twice any other place that we visited in Barcelona, and there just isn't a reason for it beyond the hotel just charging more because they can. Its very far away from anything else.

Cons: Got a good rate online for a Premium Deluxe room. It was nothing special - not premium or deluxe by my standards - very basic. When we arrived, needed to use the toilet facilities - no toilet paper in the large one on the 1st floor - went to dining room to inquire for paper or another facility to use. Was given napkins for the restaurant to use.

Cons: hotel should be mostly for gays. There were many straight couples, guess they did not know they arrived in a gay hotel. looks like too many straights for the gay community, to many gays for the straight guests. I am gay but this time the mix was not good. Check in lasted forever, they write you a guest pass by hand, it takes forever... worst check in in my life. Hotel was not able to provide service to print out my online boarding pass.. what a shame. I did not feel anything of the original gay concept, I felt they just sold out the hotel to anybody just to make money ( whats ok), but this was not my axel hotel from some years ago. It was just a very busy hotel and not sure if the value for the hotel was very good this time. Just my opinion.

Cons: Rooms smelled of cigarette smoke.

Cons: All the rooms have kettles. Upon plugging in said kettle I received quite an alarming electric shock followed by a loud bang, sparks and smoke coming from the plug socket and a consequent power cut in the room. Whilst I accept these things happen as electrical appliances get older and need replacing, what alarmed me was the total lack of concern on behalf of the staff when I notified them that of what had happened, and of the fact that I had actually been electrocuted in their hotel room. In fact their only response was to send up a handyman to replace the kettle and reset the fuse. I mentioned what had happened twice at the reception desk and quite frankly other than showing some slight surprise they couldn't seem to care less. Another disappointing factor was the view. Many of the reviews, and indeed the website boast a fantastic panoramic view of the Barcelona skyline, whilst in reality the view, even from the 8th floor, consists of a massive pylon (which sits directly in front of the hotel) and an average vantage point of the Barcelona skyline at best.

Cons: Take some teabags as you only get 2 per night with powdered milk. Breakfast was extra for my stay and eating out is a lot cheater than the hotels food. But the hotels food is excellent as a last resort. Just minor issues, other than those I have no real complaints at all about the hotel as it was amazing.

Cons: Choose this hotel partly because it was announced to have a roof top pool. Now it turned out the pool is about 5x3 m and less than a meter deep. Disappointed about this!

Cons: Overpriced for what you get. Staff was friendly and room was clean but that's not saying much.

Cons: the bathroom tub was leaking. when you turned on the shower, it would spray water all over the room.

Cons: I don't like the staff they are really not friendly make you feel like you are not welcome.

Cons: AirConditioner doesn't go much lower that 22. Also, hair dryers are not standard nor is a coffeemaker in room. Piano lobby can get loud as noice can be heard from rooms at least 5 floors up.
