Pros: Location is very good. It is walking distance to port vell, La Boqueria market and Gothic Church. If you like wondering small streets for quaint shops, La Rambla is a good place to stay. Very convenient. There's a flamenco show place about 200m away. The room is decently clean but the receptionists were very helpful in recommending places and helping us get our ride to the airport.

Cons: It could be suggested a more and tailored bathroom, in terms of structure and fashion. Notwithstanding the best effort of Cleaning Staff, the Bathroom remains a bit dull and the tails (old) seems to be always opaque. The showers are full of calcium although cleaned. I would encourage the Management to refurbish the bathrooms, at least.

The breakfast spread was perfectly adequate. And the location is ideal in my opinion, in the heart of the Gothic Quarter, near La Rambla, a short walk to the port and Plac de Catalunya. Apart from the trip to Sagrada Fanilia, we walked everywhere, it was so well located.

Cons: Not the hotel's fault but there was a family with children that turned the hallways into their playground. That resulted in a lot of yelling from 7 am. We asked them to stop and it only got worse. Sound proofing the rooms would help for such cases :).

Then at 3:00 am some fight went over the street and heard some screams, it was frieghtning :( Joint bathroom was not comfortable for me. Found the bathroom in a bad condition at night (which is not hotel’s fault at that late time of course)

Pros: The staff were extremely helpful and friendly no job was to difficult to ask. Location was fantastic so close to major sites and transport. There was a direct bus service from Barcelona airport to near the hotel ( then a 10 minute walk from the bus stop to the hotel). The hotel was very clean with modern facilities.

Cons: We usually take this hotel for my parents because it’s in a good location but this time the room was bad and full of problems. First the window didn’t close, and in January it’s cold to have all day long the window open, second the AC didn’t work properly, was kinda of broken and they couldn’t get warm in the room, and third the bathroom was also broken and they came to see it 2 days later.

Cons: I think in the rooms where You have tables must be at least one chair for diferent reasons as like people have a laptop or want to eat or any other reason. You shold isolate the pipes of blak waters where they pas through rooms. And windows should be isolated to reduce the noise of outside. The room next door had visible door with glas, i think they should be painted from inside the room.

Pros: The hostal has a great location, 5 minutes to Casa Batlló and Casa Milà, 10 minutes to La Rambla, several metro stations are in the walking distance. The building is very nice with very high and beautiful ceilings. There is an elevator so you don't have to walk up the stairs and pull the luggage. We were staying in a separate room with our own bathroom. The room was neat and clean, there was a fridge, an AC, a hairdryer, towels, a wardrobe. Although the windows looked on the street we didn't hear any noise coming from the outside as well as from other guests. It is great if you have a business trip or if you are a light sleeper. The hostal offers an amazing price/quality ratio. I would recommend it to my friends.

Cons: the rooms are in indeed in need of renovation. there is mould on the wall! they tried to cover it with wallpaper. doesn't really help the smell of mould! every single time we came back to the room we had to open all Windows due to this disgusting smell. the sanitary facilities were a little bit loud at night!

Cons: This was my worst experince. We last the power for 3 days in row. The room fasilities was so bad, the bed is horrible and the door of the room to the balcony was broken and due to that the room was freezing all the time since the power was off and can not turn on the oven. I had to pack my stuff on the dark as you will see in the photo.

Cons: Our roomwas on the 5th floor. That wasn't mentioned on our booking. No elevator (this was there). We had to pick up our keys on the other building (this was mentioned). It was more than 1 kilometer away. They were refurbishing the place where we stayed at, so there was lots of hammering and drilling, and laughing out loud, so we couldn't sleep in the late morning that we arrived. It was caos. They didn't mention that either. We told them about our problem, tried to change to another building or have any kind of compensation, but they were very cold and said that it was on the booking information. That's was a lie. After that we had many other problems, such as having our food on the fridge messed around and taken out of the bag we organized it in. Someone even tored the bag and put the food out, apparentley for no reason. Just for fun. The shower was great on the first day in one bathroom. But on the last day, it didn't get hot. It was cold and there was no one around to help out. We were about to leave to the airport. The shower on the other bathroom was bad from day one. It needed lots of fixing. The curtain fell evertime you went in there. I really had the worst experience ever. Don't stay in there. People are not nice, and they really don't care about you - neither the employees, nor the manager. They are terrible. I really think I deserve my money back.
