For restrictions that apply to vaccinated visitors, please check the official guidelines from Kenya for the types of accepted and permitted COVID-19 vaccinations, requirements on proof of vaccination certificates, vaccination validity period, and persons and/or groups that may be exempt from vaccination restrictions.
These entry restrictions do not apply to returning unvaccinated Kenyan citizens or residents, travelers under the age of 18, or travelers with medical conditions precluding vaccination. Such travelers are required to provide a letter from a recognized medical practitioner detailing the medical reason precluding vaccination, fully vaccinated travelers with a valid vaccination certificate, and travelers who have recovered from COVID-19 with accepted proof.
Travelers will be screened for flu-like or clinical symptoms on arrival.
Unvaccinated visitors from India must present a negative RT-PCR (NAAT) test taken within 72 hours before departing to Kenya.
Fully vaccinated visitors with approved vaccination certificates do not need to present a negative COVID-19 test.
Visitors from India are not required to quarantine after entering Kenya.
