Passengers are advised to print out and attach boarding passes at home in a bid to avoid crowding at self-service kiosks given the Covid-19 public health crisis. However attendants then say tags need to be re-printed at the counter as the ones provided by the airline at the airport are more secure. While the check-in process is aided by the helpful staff, Indigo Airlines could do a better job of providing more self-service kiosks and clearer guidance during the online purchase process. Suggest calling ahead to confirm situation on the ground."

Cons: "only 3 check in counters staffed. Domestic Flight was routed through International gates & terminal - big pain. Finally a small newly wed bride sitting next to me took up more of my space than a big overweight person, very obnoxious. My aisle seat back did not recline - broken."

Cons: "My seat would NOT recline. For a 15 hour flight with non-reclining seat was painfull. I complained to the crew member and he just passed it to someone who never came and checked. When I inquired again, he told me that it was a mechanical issue with the seat and they other with same issue. He said sorry, it will be repaired once on ground. Mu back is hurting after one full day of rest at home. Just they don't have any courtesy or customer satisfaction mind set. This is why they are loss making airlines. Next time will take another airlines."

Cons: "the web check in doesn’t work. It was a nightmare trying to check in online and get seats. We set food preferences several times and in several ways (on phone , online and even confirmed it at check in) but we were not served the meals we ordered. This is a huge problem since we had the same issue going from EWR to BOM"
Cons: "Entertainment system is broken on most of the seats, 14 hour flight without Entertainment is horrible. Boarding procedure must be improved, instead of lining up all the passengers, they could do a zone wise boarding, food is very boring"
Pros: "We reached airport at 6:45 PM for our flight at 10PM and there were only two counters open and the staff was extremely slow in helping. There was no duty manager at site which explains how poor the service is despite this was checkin for internal flight. It took 2 hours and 30 minutes by the time we got boarding passes and cleared security. Terrible terrible terrible service and I would never ever wish to fly air India again in the future"

No video or entertainment through the entire flight for many passengers. Tray table broken. Life jacket under the seat in front came loose further obstructing legroom. Call button? Forget it. No one ever responds. Old 777 aircraft maybe 15 years old. Food not tasty and under-salted in response to health fads. Timing of meals more for the convenience of staff than for the convenience of passengers."

Not sure offering only meal during 15 hr flight was 3-4 hrs before 7AM arrival was a good idea. Entertainment was not working on my seat on a 15 hr flight. The headphone jack was broken!!"

Cons: "Outrageous Air India policy: after getting a boarding card, it's the passengers responsibility to make it to the boarding gate on time. If you miss a flight due to long lines at Indian passport control and / or security check then, unlike other airlines, Air India won't book on their next available flight as a courtesy. Rather, Air India makes passengers purchase a new ticket. In my case, I managed to reach the gate for my Chicago flight 15 minutes before departure but the gate had closed 5 minutes earlier. Next, Air India insisted I pay $1,400 for a new one way ticket. They said it's my fault that I showed up at the airport 90 minutes before departure instead of "4 hours". So even after getting a boarding card, for Air India it's the passengers' fault if there are long lines at passport control."
Pros: "Easy boarding process with premium economy (or Economy Privilege, for Brussels Air). Flight wasn't so full so was easy to move to an empty row for more space and ease of sleeping on this overnight flight."
Cons: "(1) Unfortunately couldn't do web check-in because I had bought the ticket through Air India; and strangely the e-ticket receipt only mentioned one time that it was co-chaired with Brussels Air, which caused confusion at the departure terminal. (2) Food quality was poor, with a soft soggy sandwich as the first snack/meal on this overnight flight; then a breakfast with soggy egg and tough chicken. As I wasn't feeling well, I asked a flight attendant for an extra bread roll, and she grabbed one from a tray just collected from another passenger and tried to offer it to me!! Then she stopped short, seeing the packaging was open and went to get another. Needless to say, that was pretty appalling -- and also very surprising given this was a Brussels Airlines plane and staff. (3) Given above, I had a surprisingly poor experience on this flight. I have flown on Brussels Airlines before so was really surprised by the unexpectedly less-than-average quality of service and food."

Cons: "The toilet near my seat was leaking urine onto the floor from the start of the flight. The attendant's solution was to spread newspaper on the floor to soak it up! The food is terrible so I carried my own. Why an Indian airline does not serve yogurt/dahii beats me, while almost every other airline does. Entertainment? Forget about it! I sat in the same seat going to Mumbai and returning. When the attendant is told that the entertainment system does not work they just shrug and say they are sorry."

Cons: "1. Too many security checks - the main one was done in Mumbai airport first and once again we had to do one more security at the point of getting into the aircraft! This is a real pain for the customers, is a definite no-no - it just means that there is no confidence in the customer and this sole point could easily bring down the rating for the airline! 2. Having to take a shuttle bus to another location for boarding!"

Cons: "The staff was NOT responsible and did not respond at all when asked why the boarding took so much time @ BOM airport. They made ALL of the passengers stand for 40 minutes without informing why the passengers need to wait for boarding. During the flight, the staff was NOT visible at all even after called up on for assistance. This is ONE STUPID airline that I would avoid in the future."

Cons: "TV was not working and crew did not help to correct it since it was broken. All seats around had broken plastic, maintenance of the equipment was extremely poor. Toilets were not clean and even after placing a call for attendant, no help was forth coming. Crew member response to the call from the seat ( calling button) was non existent. wheelchair passengers were very poorly treated. They provided snacks at night and then breakfast and in the early morning they provided lunch. The sequence should have been reversed. Choices for food were very limited. Chicken was served as only non-veg item. Fish or anything else was not a choice. Bottled water was provided and in the lunch item instead of yogurt or anything else, they provided another small container of water. Food quality and quantity was insufficient."

The TV's didn't work for the whole flight both ways - Headphones didn't work and we weren't even given one on our return flight. My dad's flight was delayed both times - he spent over 11 hours at the airport with no proper information from the staff. It was my first and most definitely the LAST TIME."
