Cons: "The staff at the Mumbai Airport dealing with Vistara Airline has absolutely no idea how to do their checks for documents. I was asked to wait for almost an hour and a half to get my documents cleared for my travel to dubai. After all that wait I was asked to sign an Indemnity form stating that I'll be responsible for any penalties whatsoever from Dubai Immigration if denied entry in dubai. The staff don't even know the rules and have behaved so dumb while dealing with passenger and have zero knowledge about document checks. Either the airline needs to get them more trained before getting them on the floor or needs to take strict action against them. Because wasting my time at the Mumbai airport was not so entertaining for me and the airline did not even seem apologetic about it. Vistara has hired some really unprofessional and uneducated staff at their Mumbai station."

All Indian airlines are super cheap and low quality--with Vistara at least I did not get pushed around during boarding and getting-off. Traveling by air in India in economy class is like traveling in a greyhound bus. If you are from the US and 30+ year old avoid the Economy class."

The gate was open for more than 1 hour after we reached the airport. We were not issued new tickets and not refunded. The staff was not helpful at all. AS we say Customer should be always first. Anyway we missed flight from Delhi to Amritsar. We bought new one way ticket from the airport that evening. We were 5 adults and one baby visiting Golden temple from USA."

Cons: "Three things : 1) The crew seemed to be relatively inexperienced and just out of college. I observed a couple of informal communication exchanges from their part. But the crew were helpful and tried their best to provide the best customer experience. 2) The boarding process normally starts with business and premium class and then followed by economy. For my flight however the economy class was boarded first while the business class passengers were kept stranded waiting in a separate line. This also reflected the inexperience of the crew which handled the boarding. 3) Vistara was my connecting flight from Pune to Delhi followed by British airways flight from Delhi to London. Though the flights were booked under one ticket, the representative did not checkin my luggage throughout the journey due to which I had to collect my baggage at Delhi and check it in again. The representative explained that vistara still didn't have alliances with most airlines allowing luggage to be checked in till final destination. This is another front on which they can improve."

In eight hours, that’s the first time I have experienced this on any airline. I am a frequent flyer with Qatar and ba and have flown long haul on most airlines. My two colleagues also had the same treatment and they turned there nose up at my Indian wife. Very dissapointed and I will be writing a complaint in person to the airline."

The touch screens on the back of the seats are annoying (especially on a 7-hour flight) to the passenger in front, as they can feel the constant tapping through the seat."

Flight attendents were very unusually rude. Airline FORGOT THE CUSTOMS FORMS, forcing us to wait for them to be retrieved from the airport upon landing. Further, we were then not allowed to disembark the aircraft until they were filled out despite being at the gate. Worst of all, nearly half the suitcases didn't make it to our destination. Half the passengers then had to fill out forms to make a claim. Even worse, this process alone took an unreasonably long amount of time. General logistical nightmare. Very poorly executed operation."

It was a full flight but I have lower back issue which got aggravated due to uncomfortable seat. I was sitting straight through out the flight. it would have been better if I was informed about it in advance. I was never even able to do web checking due to their system error neither at home nor was able to use self checking system at the airport and was informed by staff at airport it's recurring problem. It surprises me that it's not fixed causing passengers pain at the airport and flight."

Air India told me they were legally obligated to get me to my final destination but only got me as far as the first stop where I spent a night in the airport and bought a new flight on my own dime. I've been in this situation before with other airlines and I was ALWAYS taken care of. I am a young girl and I don't have much money after spending it ALL on MULTIPLE flights home. I travel often and I can take care of myself, but this was a stressful and frightening experience. If it weren't for family I wouldn't be home. Will be fighting for every penny owed to me and everyone who helped me get home."

Entertainment selection was sparse and food was dry. The crew however was incredibly responsive and helpful."
