Venice hotels in Lido

Pros: Room was "large" by European standards. Great breakfast. Beautiful grounds and friendly staff.

Pros: The style, size and cleanliness of the rooms were good. Spacious rooms kept clean. The style was italian but not too bold. Was only 10 minutes boat journey to centre.

Pros: The location was fantastic for a trip to Venice, the hotel was a beautiful grand building inside and out. Staff were polite and helpful, Rooms were magnificent and clean. Breakfast was plentiful with good choice and nice coffee. Would absolutely recommend it for stay in Venice, and even better - the price!

Pros: great hotel, we stayed here last year too and the rooms were better than this year after the renovation (I think the renovation was not as good as it could be - the rooms lost their "warmth"). The hotel services though, are excellent.

Pros: The hotel was very beautiful, especially the exterior and the interior had lovely old fixtures and photographs. The staff were very helpful.

Pros: A great hotel with charming and helpful staff. Very Clean and nicely designed rooms. Highly recomend.'Nearby beaches, a 5 minute walk, and 5 minute walk to the Waterbus/Vaporetto.

Pros: The hotel staff were so kind and helpful to us and our 19 month old daughter. The lady at the front desk went as far as giving our daughter a pail,shovel and rake to use at the beach. That may probably seem meaningless to some but for us who were travelling from Canada and were ending our 3 week trip in Venice it was very much appreciated as it kept her very busy at the beach!!!!!! Thank You!!!!

Pros: Its location was ideal for waterbus access to and from the airport and to the City. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Pros: The staff there were extremely helpful, knowledgeable of the area, polite and would bend over backwards to be of service!!! The hotel also has a terrace where guest can go and relax. What a great surprise!!

Pros: Breakfast was excellent, the dinnig room was very elegant and frendly. Before sleeping it was nice to stay for a while on the terrace of the hotel to admire Venice by night. The hotel has its own private place on the Lido for hot summer days, when you don't want to go to Venice for sightseeing.

Pros: Location by the water bus station was very good. Breakfast was included and there was a nice restaurant right next to hotel, on water front.

Pros: the bath tub but it made noise and what are those strings and the toilet looking thing with a spout.

Pros: Great location, first hotel you get to when you arrive at Lido. Waterbuses to Venice only take a few minutes and go all through the night

Pros: It was lovely being on the Lido... . It was a very friendly area and all the people were friendly and helpful.

Pros: The hotel is extremely well situated to waterbuses going into Venice. The staff were cordial, the rooms clean and they provided an excellent breakfast at a reasonable price.

Pros: All of the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Good selection of foods on the breakfast buffet. The location of the hotel just across from main boat stop made getting to and from the city very easy. This is our third visit to Venice, but first time at this hotel. We will stay here again. Good value for money.

Pros: The hotel was ideally placed, close to the ferries to Venice. The view from our room of Venice was lovely and our room was a good size. Breakfast was plentiful and varied

Pros: The desk staff were friendly and helpful. Very clean hotel and great location - right across the street from the vaporetto stop. The breakfast buffet was excellent - choice of fruits, cheese, meat, yogurt, oj, croissants, breads. Definitely would recommend and stay here again.

Pros: Ideally situated on Lido Island, a stones throw from the boat, which take you to other parts of Venice, including Piazza San Marco. The staff was excellent - very professional, polite and answered every question; the breakfast was delicious!! We loved the setting - beautiful with gardens, by the water, with a terrace for an evening glass of wine or spritz. We would return to Hotel Villa Mabapa!!!

Pros: Our final night here and the dinner was the best of our whole holiday. Bedrooms good but pillows hard. Location to ferry excellent but hotel should warn guests with cars that queues for early ferry can be llong. Recommend buying return ticket when boarding in Venice so separate short queue for pre-bookers.

Pros: The hotel was in a great location with fantastic views across the lagoon. The terrace garden was really nice, the breakfast good and the room was spacious and well equipped.

Pros: first room offered was small with one tiny window and a sloping ceiling making it quite claustrophobic, second room had been sprayed with a very powerful chemical spray to cover up dog smells and it was filthy and damp, the third room was what we should have got in the first place and was roomier, with much more light.

Pros: The location, size of the room and all facilities worked - the air con was tremendous & the safw worked. These don't often work in Italian hotels. Everything was very clean and well maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Pros: The B&B was quiet and clean with a very big room and neat en-suite bathroom. Free Wi-Fi was a bonus.

Pros: The 500 B&B was amazing, and went far beyond our expectations. The Island of Lido itself is beautiful, peaceful, and a wonderful escape from the bustle of Venice. The B&B was so cute, and the room was cozy. It was a short 3 minute walk to the beach, and 10 minute walk to the shopping and eating area. Or you could take the bus which stops in front of the B&B! But we always walked, it's too beautiful not too. Breakfast is served everyday and the statff cleans your room while your out playing tourist. And no one bothered us! Perfect for our honeymoon! Going back next year for sure!!

Pros: I really liked the room we were in. Very spacious and comfortable with a TV and air conditioner, everything was new. For being part of venice it was a very good deal for your money. I also enjoyed that it was on Lido. Lido is a very nice small island and also not so crowded as Venice can be. Boats to Lido cost 6.50 but all the same I wouldnt change a thing. The people running it are nice the breakfast was good. Not huge varriety but there were choices. I'd stay there again for sure.
