Rio de Janeiro hotels near Cinelândia

Pros: The hotel is an oasis in the midst of the chaos of a huge city. The rooms are spacious, the lighting excellent. I really liked the shower and bath amenities. The whole hotel was very clean and neat. The pool area looked very inviting. The staff are very polite and helpful.

Cons: We heard the neighbors partying all night long. We had to get up at 3AM for a flight, so it was totally disturbing.

Pros: I loved the swimming pool and large amount of pool loungers. I was in a great room in the old section of the hotel, which was amazing. The breakfasts are really good and there was even bubbly available.

Cons: The location is not the best but it has improved from my previous trip a year ago. The bar was never open even over weekends

Cons: Our sweet was in the noisy part of building Very slow service in the reception. Only one receptionist and we hat to wait about 30 min, our friends even 45 min.

Pros: The hotel experience is very nice, you have a nice pool to cool off, a great breakfast and generally it was everything that i expected.

Cons: And the only downside was a moment with the staff, i mean we had a small issue with our reservation and it took a bit longer that needed to fix it. But totally forgivable !

Pros: Good location within Lapa (close to some sights but also in the middle of bars/restaurants). Eventhough street was busy due to carnival within the hotel it was peacefull and not much noise. Solid breakfast buffet options and friendly staff. I would stay here again.

Pros: I really enjoyed my stay. I was here during Carnaval and the location could not have been better. So close to the Sambódrom and close to the rest of the city’s action. Close to the central subway that allowed me to visit the neighboring cities with ease. The staff was super friendly and helpful.

Pros: Very comfortable hotel, with an excellent breakfast. The location was also excellent - down a quiet street, but in the middle of a lively area, with lots os street life, and very close to the subway.

Cons: We bought Samba dance/dinner show tickets from them. The samba was good but the dinner was in a Brazilian grill house churrascaria place. That grill place was very skimpy with their food and the quality was below par. They charged lot of money for very low quality drinks.

Pros: The location of the hotel was convenient.

Cons: We stayed in a triple room - the room wasn't cleaned properly, the phone didn't work well and we woke up the air conditioner spraying water all over the walls and bed someone was sleeping on. After reporting this to the staff, they said they would move us but didn't hear back for 3 hours after we had a full itinerary for that day. After complaining to the reception, they said we would have a room ready upon our return - after getting back the room was no longer available and it was explained the staff hadn't communicated when changing shifts. We were forced to sleep in the room with the faulty air conditioner and the cleaning team just put the beds together as a solution which was terrible. The next morning we were told again they would move us and had to wait for a few hours before being moved into a more basic room on the top floor. The whole experience of interacting with the staff was horrendous, we almost tried to find another hotel for the remaining days but was finding it challenging. We weren't offered any free or discounted stay - instead was just met with the same disrespect we had experienced the entire stay.

Pros: It was great value for money. It has a good location with a great restaurant a few steps away. There is also a good supermarket very close to Hotel.

Pros: I felt that the price was very fair for being Rio. The room and everything was very well kept. The staff was friendly, and the hotel is in a good location/proximity to many of the sites in Rio.
