Cons: - small small rooms - the toilet is totally unbearable, my knees were hitting the structure for the paper toilet it was so small... for 5 star hotel, I never saw such a small toilet, very impractical, I had to be in a certain body position to actually be able to.... - shower water pressure very very weak. -staff needs to be more professional, one gets the sense that they are not from the hotel training, but hired from outside, there is a lack of understanding or listening on what the customer wants or basic understanding of hotels level rules (i.e. not clean a room and enter a room where the notice indicates no service for today, and when you confirmed it on the phone with the cleaning lady. So they still went into my room, and all my belongings were disclosed on the table, but I got a sorry note and chocolates. But this is un professional).

The hotel restaurants are excellent , the staff very honest in their help thinking for us benefit.We inquired for a special dish -well the waiter suggested that maybe we should share it as it might be enough for sharing.We got this italian speciality it was excellent and indeed enough for two and it was not the most expensive choice on the menu.
They give us cards for public transport in Geneva good for train, bus or tram, or the boat in front of the hotel to take us over the lake in the middle of Geneva downtown.

Pros: My stay at Grand Hotel Kempinski Geneva was unbelievable! I enjoyed a lot! Perfect location, high-level services, very helpful and friendly staff. I had my birthday in the day of my stay - a hotel made for me free room upgrade with a nice view and presented for me Birthday Cake. It was an awesome surprise. I liked a lot SPA in the hotel - relaxing massage was really great. The gym and pool are so modern and clean. Also, want to mention that the gym and pool are working from early morning till late night - that makes it very comfortable to visit it in anytime you want. And all the SPA treatments I have booked in advance before my arrival via email without any problems that were very important for me. Great experience of staying in this hotel! I recommend it! I will come back for sure. And my special thanks to the staff - you make a good job!

Cons: This was a honeymoon trip and within we have visited Rome, Capri, Venice, Geneve, and Paris. This hotel is the only hotel that didn't even bother to give us an upgrade in any way not even a better view room. Other hotel all upgrded us and one hotel gave us thier best suit and it was a 5 start hotel.

Cons: Mon Repos has no air-conditioning in the rooms. You are forced to open the window! Terrible noise from the cars on the road ! The fan in the room was inadequate. The service is poor and slow. The waitress at breakfast was rude and nosey. The bar at the hotels mediocre, closed on Fridays and Saturdays and charges high prices for frozen reheated pizza. In the end I fled to the Intercontinental. For a pool, air conditioned room , respectful service and good food, I'd rather pay more. Avoid at all costs !

Cons: The elevator is tiny (one person plus large suitcase), but our experience, this seems to be 'the norm' in Geneva. There was a little noise coming from other rooms, but again this is quite normal in almost all hotels. Renovation work was being carried out in the lobby, which we didn't know about ahead of the visit, but it made no difference to our very short stay.

Cons: After the first night, I found a 5€ banknote left at my underwear location on the drawer. And it seemed 20-30CHF banknotes were missing. I was staying in a bunk bed 2 persons' room alone at the room 224. I locked the door and put the luggage for baring the door at night. I taped the windows for safety also. But someone seemed to be invaded. After the second night, I found my underwear damaged. I kept my stuffs in bags and suitcase, so any moving things or theft to be clear than I left things on the table. Thus, I found some damages as the possible room invasions at my room every night of my stay - I stayed 2 nights only. 80€ a night location but theft at the property seemed not worth staying here. An expensive hotel might be safer in Geneve!

Cons: The hotel is close to the city centre and train station. Only be aware of the activities after sunset. We were approached by drugs dealers and hookers on or way to the hotel. Behind the Ibis hotel (hotel next to the Novotel) is a brothel with hookers on the street. Not ideal if you’re travelling with children.

Cons: I did not like that it is located in the red light district of Geneva. I only found out about this when I already checked in into the hotel.

Cons: All ok at the property, but while checking out they charged me extra 5 euro and said that it is city tax. Once I received the bill it said used mini bar I informed them that I hadn’t taken anything from the mini bar then they checked and reimbursed me the money. Not a big issue but the receptionist should have apologized, but had so much attitude she didn’t thing apologizing was necessary. Not all staff were like her, all other who I had spoken to were very friendly. Anyways it’s up to the hotel management to get such people trained, they might have not been though how to treat a customer.

Cons: The smell of the toilet/bathroom smelt like sewerage, along with the reception area when entering the hotel smelt sooo bad. The hall ways also smelt strongly of some sort of sewerage which is soo bad that it would not be good to inhale.

Pros: Great location and very courteous staff. The "Churchill" motif is quaint and the room spacious (we stayed in the Ceasar room). A block away from lake Geneva and the water jet. A couple blocks from a lively bar scene (recommend the Little Barrel).
Cons: The ameneties are dated and the joined twin bed we were given would split halfway through the night. Not romantic. Shower was also one of those typical European showers where it's just a hose with attached shower head.

Pros: I loved the staff, their friendliness and willingness to help. It is clean and well kept and cozy. They had umbrellas for you to borrow which was great since it rained all day while I was there and I was unprepared.
Cons: It is rather small, so not good for multiple people and the beds are not the most comfortable but they served it's purpose.

Pros: very convenient location, very close to the jet d'eau and the lake. Nice breakfast but no much varieties. rooms were clean and cosy, furniture is a bit old but in good condition

Cons: Our double room bed was twin single bed. It kept moving apart from each other. Me and my husband got bit annoyed. Most of the hotels I have been to until now had water boiler, tea and coffee. I do not know if it was same everywhere in switzerland but I was hoping for it. Specially when you want late night light tea or very early coffee in bed.

Bring your own hairdryer, ancient old wall connected one which felt like a fire hazard before it dried my hair : (
