Pros: I liked everything at this hotel. It is such a cosy and warm place that invites you to just chill out and relax, order a cup of wine and drink it by the fire. The host was very friendly and even we arrived late he served us a perfect dinner. My room was beautiful and giant, very comfortable and with amazing views. I would definitely repeat if I ever come back around.
Cons: Nothing.

Pros: Everything was fabulous, the executive room, the food, the staff, the ambiance........ Even the little things weren’t overlooked, like mugs in the room instead of minute cups & saucers, fresh milk in the fridge etc. Bathroom very nice too, highly recommended!

Pros: Connection to the pub, fantastic food and access .
Cons: You can hear everyone’s doors open and close as well as hear every step the room above us made.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast amazing value for money, room was very modern and felt like home.
Cons: Nothing.
7.0 Good
Pros: See above
Cons: The food. Myself and my husband both follow a vegan/plant based diet. When we have been previously, there was a lot more choice on the menu. Saying that, the host did tell us that the vegetarian dishes could be "tweaked" - we both opted for the garden burger. It was the driest/stodgiest burger I've ever eaten. It needed a vegan mayo or sauce to moisten it. It was just too dry and crumbly. We looked forward to breakfast however this sadly also disappointed. We waited 35 minutes for 4 vegetarian sausages....by the time they came, we had lost our appetite. This was our 3rd stay at the Peak Edge Hotel which is testament to the idyllic setting, beautiful hotel and great staff. Such a shame as we left considering if we would ever come back. Please review your menu and provide more options for those that follow a plant based diet rather than adapting what is already on there and perhaps have some veggie sausages already cooked for those that do not eat meat, saves on having to wait!

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The bacon in the cooked breakfast was amazing. The rooms were very comfortable and the owners were extremely attentive and nice.
Cons: Not very much I can think of, although there was a couple of issues I had with the bathroom - the toilet roll holder was a bit loose and sometimes fell off the wall. Also sometimes the toilet would flush but not get rid of the paper in the toilet bowl and require aditional flushes.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The people were extremely nice
Cons: Very helpful
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What is not to like at this Guest house its a home away from home
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable. Friendly owners. Lovely old house, beautifully extended. Excellent cooked breakfast. On street parking is available right outside.
Cons: My room had a separate shared (with one other room) toilet (but I knew this when booking).
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Good parking, pleasant proprietors, very comfortable beds, lovely breakfasts.
Cons: I’m 5’7” and found the sloping ceilings in the apex of the room to be a little tight. Was able to move around freely in most of the room, but the luggage area was a bit low. This was a very minor point. My husband is 6’ 7” and would have found it a bit tight, which is the only reason for mentioning it.
8.0 Excellent
Cons: Only small shower room and toilet, but a listed building so perhaps they couldn't
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean. Quiet. Comfortable. Nice touches like a teeth cleaning kit in case you forget. Breakfast was fresh, to order and hot!
Cons: The WiFi connection in room 5 was non-existent on the night we were there.

7.0 Good
Pros: We didn't have Breakfast. The centre location was perfect and the room was very spacious and clean.
Cons: The only criticism is that the Water in the Shower could have been a bit hotter and also the Shower Curtain came off slightly and was a bit technical to fit back. Other than that it was very good and we'd definitely recommend the place and stay there again. Also there was Litter left in the lift which was a good welcome so we were relieved to see that the room was clean and tidy in comparison to the lift.

Cons: No lift, room on 2nd floor, heavy cases.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely staff and rooms.
Cons: Only dairy milk available in machines. Please provide soya in the fridge.
7.5 Good
Cons: The parking was limited and we had to park offsite. Arrived late due to travelling time. Was assured on the phone that although the restaurant kitchen closed at 10pm there would still be room service. Not told room service would only be a sandwich.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Well decorated well maintained well equipped pleasant hotel.
Cons: Hotel can be a bit too warm both corridors and rooms
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It was very clean and only a short walk from nice shops and restaurants near Endcliffe Park. Good value with breakfast included too! Breakfast was pretty tasty and room was good. Staff were friendly and helpful and parking was free. The cookies were very tasty too!
Cons: It lacked atmosphere a bit, especially in the evening when I would’ve liked to have gone to the bar - I didn’t end up having a drink as no one was there! Not much else to do other than stay and have breakfast in the morning, which was practical but not as relaxing as I would’ve liked.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Leafy setting, close to university halls of residence, so ideally located for parents like us delivering 1st year student for fresher week. Mostly young staff, all friendly, obliging and polite. Coffee machine and giant cookie jar (sometimes empty!) on each floor. No bath in our room, but very good shower, which has almost converted my bath-loving, shower-hating spouse. Breakfast and attentive service excellent.
Cons: Shower plughole blocked, so had to keep turning shower off to allow water to drain away - very slowly. Much to my wife's annoyance, bathroom extractor fan refused to switch off, keeping her awake. No view from our particular room, unless you consider a flat roof populated with air-conditioning units a view. No clean cups left at coffee-making station even at 7:30 am.

Pros: Very comfortable bed
Cons: Toilet seat didn't fit properly and moved all the time when sat on it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfy, nice decor, lovely views, clean and tidy.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Stayed over at the venue as we were guests at a wedding. The facilities were superb and clean. The staff at all points, reception, MC, bar staff were all friendly, polite and helpful.
Cons: More a booking.com issue than the hotel as I had thought the option selected had included breakfast but nothing in the booking confirmation showed this. Breakfast booked on site during check-in was at a reduced rate though.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: 70s throwback in the corridors.
Cons: There was no running water in the room apart from one cloudy boiling hot tap, and the management staff are trying to ignore my complaints. For the same money, I could have stayed at the Ibis (which is very close by) where I could have had a drink and a shower.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Location of hotel. Bed in room was comfortable.
Cons: The room was far too small. I could not open my small suitcase and walk around the room. The bathroom was very small. I could not shave with the door closed. The towels were over the top of the button for the toilet due to there being no other space for them to be - not hygienic. The sink was far too small to use, the floor got flooded!! Room in annex from hotel, when raining needed to go outside to enter main hotel.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Evening meal was superb, breakfast was very good with many options, although vegetarian sausages for the gluten free option was odd. Location was perfect for our needs and would use again when on business as well as personal.
Cons: They might want to clear the cobwebs in the bathroom but this didn't detract from the overall standard of the room which was excellent.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The convenience to church for a wedding.
Cons: Standard room was very small. Very little storage space and heating was not very effective (It was very cold and snowing outside)
7.7 Good
Pros: for the price I thought the room and food were very good the bed was very comfortable
Cons: no complaints
6.0 Good
Pros: On arrival there is a lovely gas fire which was welcoming and a big smile from the staff:)Our room was a luxery one which was! I loved the bathx
Cons: the price in the the bar was way too steep £13.00 for a G@T and a lager? crazy! The breakfast had been cooked way in advance and was hard and tasteless shame:(
4.3 Okay
Cons: Unclean room, hairs in bath, broken tap, tv remote didn't work and very bad reception on tv. Cold breakfast in room and out of date products served
6.3 Good
Pros: Room nice and clean and comfortable. Staff very hardworking and polite, they did what they could to make my friends' wedding breakfast and reception go well and look after the guests. Food was very good for the wedding breakfast, evening buffet and breakfast the following morning. Bar prices very reasonable considering the environment etc.
Cons: Minor point, but at a few times, the single bar man on the residential bar could have done with some assistance to reduce queing time - but very minor point.
6.4 Good
Pros: Good size room, relaxed atmosphere & excellent dinner Saturday evening
Cons: Additional lighting in room would have been useful. Unfortunately both our main courses had to be sent back Sunday evening but the matter was dealt with courteously and promptly.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: How friendly the staff were . The accomdation and setting Convenience for visiting family in Dinnington and Sheffield
Cons: no
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous location, fabulously presented
Cons: Saturday night on the first floor was disturbed by wedding party revellers in the garden below. Please consider internal secondary glazing for noise attenuation. We appreciate it must be a listed building. Our second bedroom, Empire Fork, had no mirror at reasonable height to apply make up, consider a mirror stand on the desk. We are optimistic that these can be easily rectified and remember only the fabulous presentation.
6.4 Good
Pros: the bed and the view out the back
Cons: bathroom was in need of an update
6.8 Good
Pros: Very peaceful and relaxing.
Cons: No

Cons: The veiw from the window wasnt very good in the room we was in it was just a veiw of the other side of the hotel (it is in a square shape building) also a cleaner came and knocked on the door and woke us up at 9am then apologised and went even though check out is 12 noon.

Overview Reviews
This hotel is set in the stunning Mayfield Valley amid picturesque countryside on the edge of the Peak District. The Norfolk Arms is a recently renovated, historic Grade II-listed coaching inn. It offers fantastic views, a restaurant and bar, meeting rooms and conference facilities. The hotel is an excellent base from which to explore the Peak District National Park or Sheffield city centre.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, friendly staff good location
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff in this hotel and bar were all very welcoming - the rooms were very nice - definitely on our list of places to stay in again.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Very little. I suppose the heating worked OK. It was warm in the room, even with the radiator turned down and the window open. The white bedding and towels seemed clean, but note my comment about the bleach smell... Another wash after the bleaching might be a good idea, so they smelled more fresh.
Cons: Arrived in the evening, as Storm Ciara was starting. No fire lit in the bar, which was full of customers who turned to stare as I walked in... I don't think that was just for me, but they probably do this to every stranger... I found reception (not obvious, or signposted,) where a young boy stood, and an older man sat behind, on a computer, older man didn't acknowledge me at all. Boy said I was in Room 13...an outside room round the back of main pub... Needed to walk along the roadside to get from the pub to the room. I asked for a room inside... I was a woman staying on my own, would feel much safer within the main part of the building, and fancied a cosy night inside, eating at the bar and enjoying the fire... Although rooms inside the pub were available, the staff were reluctant for me to have one. The older man, who had ignored this conversation so far, when asked by the boy, said "only twins" were free. I said I didn't mind, but he said "well, go and look at 13... If you really want to change, you can come back," I felt as if that would be a huge imposition. Neither man was welcoming or accommodating. I was not offered breakfast when I checked in, nor on checking out in the morning. The boy said he would take me to my outside room, and that we could go two ways: upstairs then back down again to a back door, , or through the bar and round the outside... He decided to take me through the bar, "so you don't have to lug your bags up and down stairs, "... At which, the young lad set off, arms swinging, whilst I walked behind, dragging my luggage. We went through the bar, outside into the rain and wind onto the roadside, walked along the pavement by the main road, round the back of the building, down a dark alleyway into a small courtyard behind the pub. Old furniture was stacked in front of doorways.. The room was in a converted stable block, one of 3 or 4, with the pub kitchen doorway and beer cellar nearby.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great atmosphere. Nothing too much trouble for the staff
4.0 Okay
Pros: The location. Staff were friendly
Cons: I didn't like sitting in the reception area for my dinner, surrounded by coats, phone calls and no other people. They moved us but to a coffee table and 2 leather chairs which would have been difficult to eat at. Also the food wasn't nice.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The new beds are so comfortable.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: What a great find. A really welcoming family-run hotel and pub, just outside Sheffield and in a lovely setting. We had two nice rooms, one overlooking the hills and fields at the back. The bar is very cosy with open fire and wood stove and has a varied menu. The food was very good and portions huge. Nice breakfast in the morning. Above all, the owners/staff could not have been friendlier and more welcoming. We will be back!
Cons: The bedroom was a bit cold on arrival but did warm up later.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our second visit here and once again it did not disappoint. The staff are always warm friendly and professional a real asset to the Hotel,

Pros: BREAKFAST AND DINNER, BOTH EXCELLENT. EVERYBODY VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL.
Cons: NOT BEING VERY MOBILE THE STEPS DOWN TO THE LOWER ROOMS WERE A BIT OF A NUISANCE. THE UPPER ROOMS WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER, BUT THE STAFF WERE NOT TO KNOW THAT.

7.0 Good
Pros: We didn't have Breakfast.
