Cons: The rooftop restaurant is terrible! The view is incredible. The food there is as bad as it gets. Take in the view during the free breakfast; the meals they serve there at all other times is not worth paying for (it is disgusting, masquerading as "haute cuisine" The spa is nice but lacks any written guidelines to ensure guest tranquility. Letting children use the spa and having no rules relating to that can ruin the experience for other guests. Kids shouldn't be in the hot tub/heated pool area unsupervised. Nor should they be learning how to swim or doing water tricks. It's supposed to be peaceful. Children shouldn't ruin experience for other guests. We couldn't use sauna or steam room because it was overrun with young kids. I have no problem with children but the lack of any rules or restrictions as it pertains to the spa is really problematic at Electra Metropolis. as a result my enjoyment of facilities was extremely limited.

Cons: The way in which the hotel is new and cutting edge feels like it was put together very quickly, and in a few years time won't be that nice. Showers seem to leak water all over the bathroom. Service at the restaurant/bar on the rooftop is mediocre.

Cons: I traveled with my 2 kids and the nanny. Ordered and paid for a double room with a connecting door (as seen in there photo gallery)so the nanny will have her own room . When we arrived, they gave us one room with 4 beds. I showed my invitation but the guy from the reception could not understand what is wrong because" we are 4 people and there are 4 beds". I explained again that this is not what we paid for nor we want. The only option that was available for us is a room with 3 beds and a connecting door but "since we insist" they will bring an additional folding bed. The connecting door was not used eventually since the air condition was only in one room and the other room was without windows nor air-condition. Must emphasize that I called 3 times in advance to make sure that the room seen in the pictures is the room we can get. There is no connection between the pictures and reality. Staff is very friendly but that not changed the frustration from the room. The room itself was so dirty so I paid the maid extra money as a tip to wash the floor The hotel was very noisy during night and the view that we got was the worst We left 1 day before… Location is good So, if you like nice hotel stuff and would like to take a chance as us with an awful hotel experience …

Pros: Enjoyed my stay here, staff both on the desk and at the bar were very helpful and friendly. Location was close enough to metro that going to the main sites was really easy (normally only one stop). Bedrooms were a very good overall size and i belive they all had a small balcony area. The hotel as a whole was very clean also.
Cons: Sadly the area the hotel is located was a bit more on the rougher side and you do have to be weary of thieves. Breakfast was also slightly limited and bacon was stored touching vegetarian options.

Pros: I was on a tour. The first night was on me. very good room and this extended to second night. Off i went on the tour and returned for last night. This room was very small and nothing like the first night. There was painting and construction on floor and we had to pass through this to get to the room. The hotel did call to let me know about the length of work and offered a new room. I was too tired to move. They did send up a lovely tray of fruit and bottle water. I think the size of the room was picked by the tour not the hotel. The staff was great.
Cons: The business center. Not personal at all. I walked in asking about the getting a boarding pass. The lady pointed to the computer. I explained that I was not knowledgeable about computers. I was told to key in my airline and follow instructions. No help. She was not busy. I guest I look like a tourist and not a business person.

Pros: This hotel exceeded my expectations. The rooms were modern, clean, and quiet. The bathroom was updated and beautiful. Even the toiletries that were provided were quality. There is a rooftop terrace with a great view of the Acropolis and their sister hotel which is a few blocks away also has a rooftop terrace with a bar with the best view of the Acropolis. The breakfast was included in the price and was by far the best part. There was food to please every nationality of traveler. There was even a gluten free section. I would definitely stay here again if I ever return to Athens.
Cons: There was some confusion when checking in regarding how many people were staying in the room so make sure you make this information very clear when making the initial reservation.

Staff is friendly and helpful, and they gave me some useful tips for things to do. One thing I noticed was a small play area for children, but the hotel seemed to be adults only during my stay. Hotel is tastefully decorated. I was happy with my stay.

The one day they were open they only had massage capabilities available (ie no facials or nail treatments etc) so I went ahead and booked a massage with the only therapist available. I found the male massage therapist to be a bit unprofessional and the massage was oddly touchy. For example it seemed like he was trying to rub his body on the sides of mine while giving my massage. The breakfast buffet is 22 euros and a lot of the food was cold including meat and eggs which is dangerous! All food at this hotel is pretty over priced. No hot tub as advertised? Dirty/moldy between bathroom tiles. If they call a taxi for you the ride is 3 euros more expensive

The power in the hotel failed in the middle of the night & we had no AC, emergency lighting came on, which is what we woke to at 3am. The house phone was ignored when I attempted to call the front desk to clarify the situation. I called from my mobile & was told 'this happens all the time'. An appalling 'hotel'.

Pros: Due to extensive flight delays we missed the first night of our reservation at St. George and did not arrive in Athens until 6AM. However, we forgot all about our troubles almost immediately after checking into this superb hotel. 1. Without even telling us they upgraded our room to the front side of the hotel which had absolutely incredible views of the Acropolis from our balcony. While it wasn't a large room (they never are in Europe!), it was clean, the bed was great, and the bathroom was perfectly OK. 2. Despite our exhaustion, we dragged ourselves out of bed just in time to catch breakfast. Went up to the 6th floor and was blown away by the 360 views of Athens. We asked if we could just grab a plate of food from the buffet (delicious selection) and take it back down to our room. Not only did they say yes, but they had someone carry our food down to the room ON A SILVER PLATTER. No jokes. Also, without even asking for it they sent with a hot carafe of coffee with STEAMED MILK. 3. On the last leg of our trip, coming back from an island, we had 12 hours to kill in Athens before heading to the airport. Despite no longer being guests for over 7 days they graciously stored our bags and let us hang out at the roof pool until we had to leave. WHAT. 4. Oh, and the pool is like a dream. Gorgeous pool with gorgeous Athens view with lounge chairs and great music. Happy hour is from 7-9 offering 6 euro cocktails. The neighborhood this hotel is in is really great and completely safe as it is where all the embassies are located. Since it's on a hill be prepared to climb! It is worth it as there are very charming buildings, great cafes, shops, and restaurants. You can be in Kolonaki (walking) in 15-20 minutes. There is a metro stop 7 blocks away that goes directly to the airport. WHY WOULD YOU STAY ANYWHERE ELSE? I know I won't be.... Thank you St. George! You made our trip.

The location is the best as all major sights can be easily reached by walking or the metro. the room was fabulous. We found our room to be very comfortable. We had a balcony with a nice view over Athens. I would definitely stay here again.

Pros: Staff was incredibly helpful. I was traveling with my father who had a cane which lost a piece of the device. The staff gave us excellent directions to a nearby hardware store As we needed to replace it before leaving for a cruise.

Pros: The beautiful view and location.
Cons: The restaurant in the roof was bad. The vegetables atbreakfast were not fresh at all. And in the evening the food I ordered was not tasty. The waitress was sweet and kind.

Cons: Cleanliness waste bin in bathroom full and smell.. Dust over the hair dryer and at the air exhauster not cleaned since a while.. Breakfast buffet very conventional, You don't feel a Greek touch.
