Pros: Lovely guest house, Ideal location for getting around the island. Short walk to the town, beach and pier where there are plenty of restaurants/bars. The walk back is up hill. Owners very helpful, nothing was too much trouble - small bar where we finished our evening off each night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked the friendliness of the proprieter and the breakfast. Winston and Mabel the dogs were very friendly and enjoyed meeting our 4 legged companion, Freddie.
Cons: Hot water was along time coming through but nothing to really speak of.
6.3 Good
Pros: Owner was friendly and the breakfast was tasty. Room was a good size.
Cons: Dogs having free run of property when states in welcome book it would only be between 10am and 2pm. Dog ran and jumped up my partner soaking wet and muddy after a walk whilst he sat in the bar. Then at breakfast it was very awkward having one trying to jump up to get our toast and another trying to lick my partners knife. I had to ask for them to be removed from the room whilst we ate which was done straight away but it felt embarrassing having to ask. My partners jeans and t-shirt both ended up dirty due to the dogs. Decor needs some TLC, pictures on booking.com makes it look better than it is.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was clean and cosy
Cons: Nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: Great for local amenities, good breakfasts & friendly host .
Cons: Property very dated and needs a total makeover. Double bedroom should be a single and ensuite very small. No wardrobe just a rail with coat hangers.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel looks out onto the Solent. Stunning views from the restaurant and our room.
7.0 Good
Pros: The hotel is in a nice location over looking the Solent, it is tidy and well presented. The cooked breakfast was nice and the continental options seemed good.
Cons: The decor in the bedrooms is dated, the exterior visible from our room is in need of maintenance/repair. Sadly in general the hotel lacks inspiration although the building itself is pleasant.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Stayed for work reasons. Best work-related hotel I've stayed in for a long while. Great view. Would even spend my own money on a room - that's saying something.....
Cons: Weather?
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very pleasant and comfortable hotel in a good location on the seafront and a short walk to the center of Cowes. We particularly enjoyed dinner in the restaurant. Breakfast was good and all the staff we met were charming. It was nice to sit in the lounge in front of the log fire too.
Cons: I can see that the car parking is limited. We did get a space, but in the season you would need to park on the street nearby.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and the staff were lovely.
Cons: Bit dated and the breakfast could have been better.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent. Good selection and polite staff
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful, above and beyond. The location is good because it's by the sea and easy walking distance into the town. The room we had was very comfortable. The breakfast was nice with a view of the sea from the dining room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent, but don't turn up too late otherwise the Continental choice could be limited. We were there for a funeral so the Valentin's Night Dinner was not appropriate....whilst the hotel as very busy we received excellent fast service for a casual meal. Bathroom goodies were better than some 5 star hotels.
Cons: Breakfast finishing at 0930 on a Saturday is too early.
Albert Cottage Hotel - Cowes - Building

9.0 Excellent (94 reviews)
₹ 10,791+

Featured amenities include luggage storage, laundry facilities, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Event facilities at this guesthouse consist of conference space and a meeting room. Free self parking is available onsite.
6.7 Good
Pros: The Building is wonderful
Cons: The evening Meal and menus were poor The ladies serving us were lovely
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast and the room. Also the fantastic service.
Cons: We had to ask for toilet roll but other than that we loved everything else.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was very good, dinner also very good but choice a little limited for a meat eater who didn't eat shellfish or pork. Location was perfect, central heating a little random. We were promised a garden view on booking, but first bedroom did not have this. Second bedroom was better but still in front of house, and road traffic noise was very intrusive.
Cons: It was a shame that there were no details about the house/hotel and it's history which would have been interesting. No decaf coffee/tea in bedrooms. Booked through booking.com, payment taken differently than expected which was a little confusing
7.9 Good
Pros: Location perfect working nearby, good quality of food but with a limited menu. Bathroom good size with a bath and separate shower.
Cons: Twin room, single beds felt small, one person had to sleep at an angle to fit in.
7.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was very good and excellent value for money. Though I was offered extra toast it would have been better if I had been asked if I required sauces as there was nothing available on the table.
Cons: It would have been good to known in advance that the bar and restaurant was not open due to low number of guests in the hotel that evening. Though the receptionist was extremely tentative and an absolute star, as a lone traveller I would have like to have known in advance that these facilities were not available to me on that evening. Though I was booked in for B&B only I thought that with having a restaurant/bar on site I thought I would have these option available to me. After a long day I was not up to a long walk into East Cowes to seek refreshments/food. Though drinks were available to the room it would have been good to have a sandwiches option available but not at room service prices due to onsite facilities being closed. On this point worth pointing out that there was no room information folder available anywhere in the room, which is unusual.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent. Night porter also excellent after water leaked onto our bed from the bath in the room above - hardly the hotel's fault!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: North house is beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean with comfortable furnishings .
Cons: The location of our room ( near the front of the property ) meant we could hear the goings on below us- late into the night /during the early hours . We assume preparations for the next day. Hoovering , table setting and a whiring washing machine . Which unfortunately resulted in a poor nights sleep!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great vibe, smelt awesome with the open fire and wood, and had great touches and a homely feeling. Great restaurant and bar as well.
5.4 Okay
Pros: breakfast ok, apart from mould in marmalade. House on main road
Cons: see above
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms had all the facilities you could need, the pool and hot tub were excellent. The owner Jan is really lovely and nothing is too much trouble.
Cons: There was nothing I would improve.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A good location for us and near to the beach. The owner, Jan, is very friendly and willing to help with tips of what you can do on the Isle of Wight. (Some nice chats about our mutual love for David Bowie !) The outdoor swimming pool was an added bonus; especially as we had some warm, sunny weather while we were there. Room to park at the hotel car park. Definitely have plans to visit in the future!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Jan is a lovely friendly hostess, there if you need her and speedily meeting requests and providing information but inconspicuous otherwise. Room was lovely and clean likewise the pool and hot tub. We had the room overlooking the pool and hills so that was a good view. Enjoyed the continental breakfast. Easy walking distance to Yarbridge Inn across the road where the food is great.

Cons: There was some broken glass discovered from my wife under the bed(room 17) looking for her hair band. Nothing to moan about on are behalf although others may not be so impressed?
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Spa area is great - could have longer opening hours breakfast is lovely and they are happy to make you what you want within reason we got a free upgrade into a suite - just beautiful
Cons: the evening restaurant wouldn't serve us dinner unless we ordered by 9pm and we just felt very rushed by them so we had some cocktails and olives instead. What restaurant closes for new orders at 9pm!
