Pros: Overall this hotel was fantastic. The staff was as friendly and helpful as you could ask for. My husband and I were traveling with four children (ages 8,7,6, and 2) and the value was amazing. I never review anything online but the experience was so good I felt it necessary this time. The fact that there were drinks and popcorn in the lobby the entire time was awesome especially with kids. Breakfast was awesome and offered SO much more than normal hotels do. Plus the "kickback" at 5:30 was our dinner each night. I know for some it might not be their ideal dinner if they are on vacation but traveling with the kids we didn't want to have to go out and the "kickback" offered enough options for everyone to have a full meal. We don't really drink but if you add breakfast, dinner, popcorn as a snack, unlimited soft drinks, and the 3 free "alcoholic beverages" up the value was amazing. The kids loved the pool and hot tub. The rooms were clean and comfortable also. Just a great stay all around.
Cons: The only complaint I had was that we had pre-paid for the room and when we got there they asked for the card we had used to book the room so they could swipe it. Then when we were checking out I went to check out and pay for the valet ($25 a day and the only option so budget for that as well) and they said it had already been charged to my card. I had no intention of paying for the valet on that card so it bothered me that they charged it and hadn't told us that they were doing it. I do believe that it was a simple misunderstanding though and not dishonest or anything.

Pros: Overall, the facility was gorgeous. The beds were very comfortable, the room was clean, the pool was beautiful and atmospheric, but the service left too much to be desired. When we called to the front desk for assistance of any kind, we were met with tones of condescension. Almost as if asking for a room service menu, as are room had none, or ordering room service was a bother to them. We waited an hour for a Cobb salad to be delivered, only to find that it was missing bacon, egg, and avocado...practically half the salad! For the price of the salad, I expected so much more. I certainly could have called to notify them of the issue, but after having waited at long we did want to waste more time. Apart from the lack of care for customer satisfaction dealt out by the front desk, we also ran into issues with the bell man. At first, he offered to look out for our scheduled taxi, while we waited inside. But, we soon realized that he wasn't going to follow through on his offer as he was standing inside chatting it up with a co-worker as time came for our taxi to arrive. So, we got up and went to look for it ourselves. This is not to say that all of the customer service personnel were lacking. There were certain individuals who were kind, friendly, and attentive to our needs. But, I would say by and far that customer satisfaction is not apparent by their services rendered. If you're looking to feel like you as a customer and a person matters, then stay far away from Hotel Monteleone. If you're looking for a beautiful place to stay, then by all means, book that room!

Pros: Monteleone is marvelous and I will come again. My only criticisms are 1. It is not fully handicap accessible 2. The bathrooms are nice but small and dated, no walk in showers 3. Bedrooms are small by modern standards (limited to 2 to a room comfortably.

Pros: Rooftop Pool and Carousal Bar are a must to see when you stay here. The beds are also very comfortable and plush and the built in mini-fridge was very convenient (not filled with items meant to upcharge which I appreciate). This place is definitely a go to place to stay in New Orleans

Pros: Friendly doormen, bellman, front desk. Love the gracious old hotel. Criollo's Restaurant had excellent food and service. One could not ask for a better location as a base of operations for leisurely tour of French Quarter.
Cons: While I don't think most rooms fit this category, we happened to get a very small room with window looking across a dark alley. Room could not have been more than 12' square, with king and furniture closet, one could not help but feel a bit claustrophobic. Be sure to ask for room with street facing widows. Housekeeping kept forgetting essentials - like TP. Had to call to request and then wait 15 min for delivery. Otherwise, excellent experience.

Pros: I loved the location - only a block from Harrah's/Poydras, nearby lots of great bars and restaurants. The hotel was really nice and I loved all of the artwork. The room was also very nice.
Cons: The bellhop broke a $50 bottle of Baileys, so I had to walk about 10 blocks in the heat to purchase another bottle, then had to walk another 10 blocks to my car to get the receipt from the first bottle, then walk all the way back to the hotel. They reimbursed me for both bottles, but it would have been nice if they would have taken care of this in another way. A free meal at Legacy would have made up for their mistake.

The hotel bar closed at 12:30, the room service was from like 4-10 and was provided by a third party, in the morning I called for a sprit and it took FOREVER for it come. I paid 450 for that room. I should have been at the Four Seasons level.

Pros: The location was the best feature of this hotel, footsteps from both bourbon and royal stress dead center of french qtr. The staff was friendly and helpful. If it was warmer when we stayed I bet the pool area would have been a nice place to kick back.

Pros: I loved the location of the hotel the staff was courteous and friendly. The in hotel restaurant had good food but was a bit pricey. Our room was clean, I am a picky person so it met my standards.
Cons: I thought some areas could have had better house keeping. Large dust bunnies were all over the floor near the stairs. The main area that was traveled by the guests were kept cleaner. But most importantly I didn't like that they permitted a drunken homeless person to sleep outside of the hotel doors, not a good first impression for many guests.

Pros: - Location, location, location. Traveled with a friend and this was incredibly convenient to everything we wanted to do in NOLA. I'd absolutely bring bikes if you have the means, makes the city a lot more accessible and reduces transportation issues. - Pool - Staff was awesome, very accommodating even at the last minute - it's clear that they all like their jobs - Stored our bikes in the room downstairs so they didn't take up space in the smaller room and the doormen were always available to open it up for us. Before we found this out they kept our car in a gated lot close by to make sure our bikes were safe on the car.

Not a total scam but just make sure you want well liquor and add up the cost prior to making it a double with "premium" liquor. - Valet can be slow but they did give a heads up that it would take 40 minutes at some times. - Depending on where you are in the hotel you may have a way to walk down the halls to your room but this isn't really a big deal. - Truly not that bad - if I HAD to pick bad things this is what I remember but I would absolutely stay there again.

Pros: Staying on the corner of Bourbon Street and Orleans St was perfect. The staff was very friendly, including valet and bellman. We didn't ask for much, but we were given a lot. The free drink at check in certainly didn't hurt! I also really liked the beautiful area in front of check in. It reminded me if a formal living room, and any time I stopped to sit in there I met other guests. It was just so homey.
Cons: I didn't like the parking fee. I booked through Trip Advisor and it said parking, but nothing about the extra fee. I think it was more the surprise of it that kind of bothered me. Also, I'm not certain the air was working. It wasn't hot, but it wasn't cool either. That said, we never mentioned it to the staff, given we were only in the room to sleep, so I think they would have fixed it or moved us had they known.

Pros: i stayed here with a group of 9 women. This hotel was in the very best location to walk everywhere that we wanted to go in the French Quarter. It was a really great price and i would definitely stay there again, group or individually. Having traveled to NOLA many times and stayed at many similar hotels, this was the easiest, cleanest, and best value by far.

Pros: The staff was the best from start to finish!! I have to give props to house keeping for the amazing job they do, Ms Julie moves through the hotel like greased lightning!! Ms Janet, our concierges, made it possible for us to see as much as possible during our stay and is very knowledgeable about the area and the best tours. Our doormen, King Saloman, Sir Larry and Sir Lawrance , as my husband liked to call them, were friendly, fun and very helpful. From front to back, the staff was amazing. Rooms are clean, comfortable and beautiful. The breakfast in the morning was wonderful, so many choices. Can you tell we loved our stay!!??

Adding all the factors up, it was probably the worst stay at a hotel I have had. For the price and amenities it was just not worth it. Room was alright but the person next to us was screaming and slamming stuff at 2am. Front desk had to be called and that didn’t do anything. Told them at the front desk on the morning and they were pretty uncaring, more just a “sorry about that”. Water pressure was bad, no parking validation for the attached garage (only alternative is a more expensive valet parking), hotel layout is strange and everyone was confused where to go by hearing them talk. My opinion is to use a different hotel in the area.

The signage isnt all that handy as in some areas the main lobby isn't mentioned at all, either is the parking garage. It's especially frustrating with the arbitrarily named conference halls displayed all over.

Can get busy with conferences and hear it's busy during football home games. Decent location if you don't mind walking. Street car stops right outside hotel which is mostly convenient unless it's running late or comes early. If it's busy (people buying tix, traffic) it can take a while longer than anticipated to get to your destination. We walked back from the French Quarter a few times...not a bad walk, probably around a mile. The location was fine for us but may not be for everyone. For the great rate we got for the amenities, the trade offs were worth it. All staff members were super nice, super accommodating and seemed to genuinely enjoy their jobs.

It's the same mass produced powdered egg bacon pancakes....that you get at crapy hotels for free. I stayed there for Mardi Gras and they shut down a lot of streets, so you have to walk because the taxis won't and can't take you down town. and its a long walk to Burbon street. It is located right next to the stadium if that's where you are going.

The majority of the staff was obviously focused on serving the wedding party & not the other hotel guests. - The entrance is very small, has a very steep, slippery incline and is difficult to navigate with luggage and vehicles.

Because of the age of the hotel and the weather while we were there, a lot of condensation formed on the inside of the windows of our room. We mentioned to the Concierge that this resulted in what looked like black mold at the base of the windows and it was cleaned up almost immediately.

Pros: My friends and I were very satisfied with our entire stay. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and the rooms were very comfortable. The coffee maker, microwave, and refrigerator are three amenities that I think are often taken for granted! The PB&J bar is not only charming, but a useful and welcome snack when coming in late and not wanting to spend time or money stopping somewhere else for a snack. The rooftop pool and hot tub had amazing views. Though I didn't get to use it, the fitness center on the top floor also looked well equipped and taken care of. The staff was very professional, enthusiastic, and talented. From our hotel, we were able to walk to the French quarter in 10 minutes or less, had instant access to Canal St and the St Charles streetcar, and we were also able to easily walk to the two stadiums. Would definitely look to book here first upon returning to New Orleans.

China, the current manager, was absolutely the rudest manager at a hotel that I gave ever encountered. I couldn’t reach the valet the bring my car around for a flight that I needed to make. I asked for the manager at the front desk and requested that that try to reach them and have my car pulled around. This is what valet should do and a manager should be able to take care of this. She told me to take care of it myself and I told her that’s why I am asking her to do it. She hung up on me. But that’s not all. I tried for 2 days to get the concierge to book a dinner reservation. It never happened. We tried to eat at the Desire restaurant attached to the hotel. The food was cold, not prepared well and took 45 min for 1 breakfast dish that we ordered at 7am when they opened. We were told it was a new cook. Ultimately, the entire bill was comped. We just walked out. I will never stay there again and I’ll make sure to tell everyone I know about my experience.

We were “upgraded” to a suite which had a queen spring with a twin mattress with the springs sticking out so we were unable to use this for our kids but still had to pay the upgrade price. Therefore the “upgrade” did not provide us with any additional sleeping space. The room door key did not work because they had to charge the lock. The concierge desk was impossible to reach to get towels, sheets, ect. It would just ring and go to voicemail. We tried to order food from the in house restaurant and they directed us to their in room menu which did not exist. Our room was two levels with an exit door on each level. I asked if they could deliver our sheets to the second level because we may not hear the knock on the first level and they said they were unable to go to the second level, even though this is a normal hotel floor with a normal hallway door entry so I was confused by this. Many of these issues are likely because they are short staffed with COVID-19 and hopefully will be improved.

They let us check in early and gave us drink tickets for the hotel bar May Bailey's, even giving us an extra ticket since there were 3 of us. The bartender at May Bailey's was great too, very amiable, and told us the history of the bar and humored my friend when he asked about ghosts. When we came back late at night and were taking pictures, one of the staff recommended a good view from the second floor balcony if we liked pictures. The beds were heaven. I didn't even want to leave the room, those beds were soooo comfortable! Breakfast in the morning was pretty good with lots of options, better than any continental I've ever had. We had a wonderful time, only wish we had been able to stay longer! In future trips to NOLA, I will definitely be staying at the Dauphine Orleans again.

The beds are comfy and you don’t hear any street noise since the area is quieter than the French Quarter. It is an doable walking distance from the French Quarter and also just a 2-3 min walk from the street car line...although don’t rely on the street cars to get you anywhere on a timetable. Especially on the weekends. They have a computer stand in the lobby if you need to print out tickets or anything.
Cons: If you are looking for a relaxing getaway where you sleep in past 9am, then this is not the hotel for you. The housekeeping staff starts their rounds before 9am and bang in and out of each room several times before moving on. I could hear them even when we’re on the other side of the floor. Also, unless you are out of the room by 8:30 and stay out until 8pm, they won’t clean your room. I stayed here for a relaxing getaway four 4.5 days and only had the room serviced once...after we had to ask to have it done on the third day.

Cons: I didn't like the fact I had to change rooms at midnight due to there being a MOUSE in my room. I was told I'd have a $100 credit to my room and that someone would assist me in moving. Whoever came up just handed us a key to the new room and left. I wasn't assisted with a cart to move. The new room was 12 floors higher but way more spacious. I was content until the next morning I went to shower and there was pubic hair or something slapped across the back of the shower meaning no one bothered to clean the shower....it probably could have been easily removed with a wipe of a cloth but apparently that was too much effort. As I checked out I mentioned my $100 credit which I now learned went back to the hotel. The fact that it was $100 to spend within the hotel was not communicated to me and in my opinion I thought I was going to be refunded $100 from room cost. I was very unhappy with that. How would I know to use the credit before check out and when would I use it between the time I had to transfer all my stuff to another room with no help,sleep,get ready and overcome being disgusted by the shower,and checkout by noon. I would like a refund for my stay. The manager supposedly is communicating with this company since this was a third party ordeal.

Cons: This property is in serious need of a renovation. Carpets are dirty and stretched. Decor is outdated and shabby. The restaurant is not operating. The mattress was painfully old. I requested more pillows because the two provided were insufficient. They never arrived. I called down again to request more and the desk agent finally brought them which means she was the only one on staff. One of the elevators was out of service. It was overall a depressing place to stay.

Cons: The box spring had no skirt. The ceiling had multiple holes in the plaster. The carpet was torn up in spots. The sheets were stiff. The bathroom had a hole punched into the ceiling tiles to expose the sprinkler. The room looked very dingy.

Pros: This trip was my first time to the south, and the staff at Le Meridien were very polite and professional. Everywhere from the bell hop during the day, to the bartender at night, to the front desk reception. The in-room service was excellent, the food and wine hit the spot. The location was a bit farther from the convention center then I anticipated but it was nice to have a little stroll to and from the conference to the hotel. I really like the decor at Le Meridien. The pool and gym were fantastic!
Cons: I did not like how expensive the in-room service fee is. I was charged $4 fee plus another $10 fee, both labeled as in-room service fee's to order dinner up to my room.

Pros: Loud hallways with zero insulation. In the morning I counted the doors slamming from maids....are you ready...143 times in a three hour period lying in bed. Do the two know how to leave a door ajar. It is hard as the doors open in a awful direction. But I literally heard every single noise from 8-11am. I felt it I farted, you would hear it 14 rooms away, major design flaw. Insultstr the hallways and tell the housekeeping staff to stop letting the doors slam every time they enter a room.

Pros: The location was perfect for us. Not too much congestion, but close enough to walk to the French Quarter and other shops. I also like the decor of the hotel and the beds are very comfortable.

And whats with the $45 valet per night? Do they wash your car and paint it?? We thought it was fleecing as they knew that parking is an issue around that neighborhood. Overall just OK place, not worth the effort to stay here.

Pros: This was a great hotel and a great value! I enjoyed my stay in the staff did a nice job cleaning the room each morning. The room was very well-equipped and the hotel had a nice lobby, great bar, pool and fitness center. My room even had windows on two sides giving me great views and a feeling of openness. Only low ceiling heights, a tight. Anthropomorphic and carpet as opposed to wood floors keep this hotel from being one of the very best. It has a great boutique feel and killer location near downtown and the French quarter.

Cons: It was very expensive for what we got. The only parking they had was valet and it was 47$ a night. After paying 415 for the room seems really steep. We were also really crunched for time Sunday am and had to wait about 20 minutes to get our car which was frustrating. When they tell you to call ten minutes ahead to have your car ready for you.

Pros: The Hotel Modern is close to New Orleans museums, warehouse district that's packed with great galleries and good restaurants. It's also on the streetcar line. Accommodating staff here! I checked into a room with wet carpet--coffee spilled--and then was given a room that was so small that there was not space for a closet and no window. The third room was perfect.

Pros: The location, staff, and amenities at Hotel Modern were wonderful. Everyone that we encountered were really nice and knowledgable. Our room was small but cozy and the bed was unbelievably comfortable.
Cons: The bathroom door didn't stay propped open on its own, so you had to put something in front of it to be able to do your hair and make-up and still be able to converse with anyone else in the room. The drain stopper in our tub was broken--it should have lifted up and down to accommodate filling and draining the tub, but the lever that lifted the stopped did not work. Housekeeping removed the stopper when they saw that we had stuck coffee stirrers in it to prop it open.

Pros: The room was decorated with books and the interior was not like a typical hotel room. The staff was friendly and helpful. Carl at the front desk help went out in the middle of the Lee Circle to get us a cab. Thank you, Carl.
Cons: The walls between the rooms were thin. We could hear a bed shake in another room and clearly hear the noise. In the bathroom, the body soap, shampoo and conditioner bottles were in the dispensers mounted on the bathroom walls, which was fine, but I could get enough body soap from it. The bathtub drainage was very slow. It was a good 20 min walk to Canal St. it was fine with us, but may be too far if you don't like to walk a lot. it's in the Watehouse district where it's quieter, which we preferred.

The air conditioning seemed to be motion activated so the nights got pretty warm. The hotel restaurant was delicious but uneven. One meal was incredible while another was served cold and yet another (rabbit sliders) had large pieces of bone. There just wasn't attention to detail.

Cons: The stupid AC. It's very hot in New Orleans during the summer and they have an AC unit that's activated by movement. This means every time we went to sleep, it would turn off in 15 minutes and we'd wake up sweating and have to get up so it would turn back on.

Pros: I was a late night check-in that left early morning and the gentleman tending to a few others and myself at that hour was genuine, friendly and super helpful Instead of annoyed or rude. The decor is different yet Inviting, location quiet for the most part and the rooms offer unique niceties (soaps, coffee, etc not like what you'd find at most chains). Loved the books too, what a thoughtful touch!
Cons: Their green initiatives are a great, conscious model of what should be done to protect Lake Ponchartrain but I found stray head hairs in the bed & think that "reusing" linens shouldn't be an option, hygiene wise.
