Pros: Overall this hotel was fantastic. The staff was as friendly and helpful as you could ask for. My husband and I were traveling with four children (ages 8,7,6, and 2) and the value was amazing. I never review anything online but the experience was so good I felt it necessary this time. The fact that there were drinks and popcorn in the lobby the entire time was awesome especially with kids. Breakfast was awesome and offered SO much more than normal hotels do. Plus the "kickback" at 5:30 was our dinner each night. I know for some it might not be their ideal dinner if they are on vacation but traveling with the kids we didn't want to have to go out and the "kickback" offered enough options for everyone to have a full meal. We don't really drink but if you add breakfast, dinner, popcorn as a snack, unlimited soft drinks, and the 3 free "alcoholic beverages" up the value was amazing. The kids loved the pool and hot tub. The rooms were clean and comfortable also. Just a great stay all around.
Cons: The only complaint I had was that we had pre-paid for the room and when we got there they asked for the card we had used to book the room so they could swipe it. Then when we were checking out I went to check out and pay for the valet ($25 a day and the only option so budget for that as well) and they said it had already been charged to my card. I had no intention of paying for the valet on that card so it bothered me that they charged it and hadn't told us that they were doing it. I do believe that it was a simple misunderstanding though and not dishonest or anything.

Pros: Overall, the facility was gorgeous. The beds were very comfortable, the room was clean, the pool was beautiful and atmospheric, but the service left too much to be desired. When we called to the front desk for assistance of any kind, we were met with tones of condescension. Almost as if asking for a room service menu, as are room had none, or ordering room service was a bother to them. We waited an hour for a Cobb salad to be delivered, only to find that it was missing bacon, egg, and avocado...practically half the salad! For the price of the salad, I expected so much more. I certainly could have called to notify them of the issue, but after having waited at long we did want to waste more time. Apart from the lack of care for customer satisfaction dealt out by the front desk, we also ran into issues with the bell man. At first, he offered to look out for our scheduled taxi, while we waited inside. But, we soon realized that he wasn't going to follow through on his offer as he was standing inside chatting it up with a co-worker as time came for our taxi to arrive. So, we got up and went to look for it ourselves. This is not to say that all of the customer service personnel were lacking. There were certain individuals who were kind, friendly, and attentive to our needs. But, I would say by and far that customer satisfaction is not apparent by their services rendered. If you're looking to feel like you as a customer and a person matters, then stay far away from Hotel Monteleone. If you're looking for a beautiful place to stay, then by all means, book that room!

Pros: Monteleone is marvelous and I will come again. My only criticisms are 1. It is not fully handicap accessible 2. The bathrooms are nice but small and dated, no walk in showers 3. Bedrooms are small by modern standards (limited to 2 to a room comfortably.

Pros: Rooftop Pool and Carousal Bar are a must to see when you stay here. The beds are also very comfortable and plush and the built in mini-fridge was very convenient (not filled with items meant to upcharge which I appreciate). This place is definitely a go to place to stay in New Orleans

Cons: While I don't think most rooms fit this category, we happened to get a very small room with window looking across a dark alley. Room could not have been more than 12' square, with king and furniture closet, one could not help but feel a bit claustrophobic. Be sure to ask for room with street facing widows. Housekeeping kept forgetting essentials - like TP. Had to call to request and then wait 15 min for delivery. Otherwise, excellent experience.

Cons: The bellhop broke a $50 bottle of Baileys, so I had to walk about 10 blocks in the heat to purchase another bottle, then had to walk another 10 blocks to my car to get the receipt from the first bottle, then walk all the way back to the hotel. They reimbursed me for both bottles, but it would have been nice if they would have taken care of this in another way. A free meal at Legacy would have made up for their mistake.

Adding all the factors up, it was probably the worst stay at a hotel I have had. For the price and amenities it was just not worth it. Room was alright but the person next to us was screaming and slamming stuff at 2am. Front desk had to be called and that didn’t do anything. Told them at the front desk on the morning and they were pretty uncaring, more just a “sorry about that”. Water pressure was bad, no parking validation for the attached garage (only alternative is a more expensive valet parking), hotel layout is strange and everyone was confused where to go by hearing them talk. My opinion is to use a different hotel in the area.

Pros: The room was very comfortable to be in. The bed was comfy and lighting was calming. Very little hallway noise and never heard the neighboring rooms. All the staff I encountered was friendly and courteous.

Only other complaint would be how confusing it is to get from the main lobby to the room elevators and the parking garage. The signage isnt all that handy as in some areas the main lobby isn't mentioned at all, either is the parking garage. It's especially frustrating with the arbitrarily named conference halls displayed all over.

Cons: our AC broke one night so it was 80+ degrees in the room and we had to wait up for an hour at 2am to get someone from the hotel staff to reset the thermostat. There was also quite a bit of road noise, even up at the 10th floor - was woken up by a garbage truck in the middle of the night.

Pros: We stayed here for the Rock n Roll Marathon. It was located right near the starting line, which was very convenient. They allowed us to have a late check out time so we did not have I rush after the race. The staff was friendly and the hotel was extremely nice.

Pros: Beautiful, totally updated and high tech. Not overly luxurious but nice and super comfy rooms. Great gym facility and pool looked nice but we didn't venture down there. Can get busy with conferences and hear it's busy during football home games. Decent location if you don't mind walking. Street car stops right outside hotel which is mostly convenient unless it's running late or comes early. If it's busy (people buying tix, traffic) it can take a while longer than anticipated to get to your destination. We walked back from the French Quarter a few times...not a bad walk, probably around a mile. The location was fine for us but may not be for everyone. For the great rate we got for the amenities, the trade offs were worth it. All staff members were super nice, super accommodating and seemed to genuinely enjoy their jobs.

Pros: I loved the location of the hotel the staff was courteous and friendly. The in hotel restaurant had good food but was a bit pricey. Our room was clean, I am a picky person so it met my standards.

But most importantly I didn't like that they permitted a drunken homeless person to sleep outside of the hotel doors, not a good first impression for many guests.

I'd absolutely bring bikes if you have the means, makes the city a lot more accessible and reduces transportation issues. - Pool - Staff was awesome, very accommodating even at the last minute - it's clear that they all like their jobs - Stored our bikes in the room downstairs so they didn't take up space in the smaller room and the doormen were always available to open it up for us. Before we found this out they kept our car in a gated lot close by to make sure our bikes were safe on the car.
Cons: - Free drinks at bar are slightly misleading... Not a total scam but just make sure you want well liquor and add up the cost prior to making it a double with "premium" liquor. - Valet can be slow but they did give a heads up that it would take 40 minutes at some times. - Depending on where you are in the hotel you may have a way to walk down the halls to your room but this isn't really a big deal. - Truly not that bad - if I HAD to pick bad things this is what I remember but I would absolutely stay there again.

Pros: Staying on the corner of Bourbon Street and Orleans St was perfect. The staff was very friendly, including valet and bellman. We didn't ask for much, but we were given a lot. The free drink at check in certainly didn't hurt! I also really liked the beautiful area in front of check in. It reminded me if a formal living room, and any time I stopped to sit in there I met other guests. It was just so homey.
Cons: I didn't like the parking fee. I booked through Trip Advisor and it said parking, but nothing about the extra fee. I think it was more the surprise of it that kind of bothered me. Also, I'm not certain the air was working. It wasn't hot, but it wasn't cool either. That said, we never mentioned it to the staff, given we were only in the room to sleep, so I think they would have fixed it or moved us had they known.

Pros: i stayed here with a group of 9 women. This hotel was in the very best location to walk everywhere that we wanted to go in the French Quarter. It was a really great price and i would definitely stay there again, group or individually. Having traveled to NOLA many times and stayed at many similar hotels, this was the easiest, cleanest, and best value by far.

Pros: The staff was the best from start to finish!! I have to give props to house keeping for the amazing job they do, Ms Julie moves through the hotel like greased lightning!! Ms Janet, our concierges, made it possible for us to see as much as possible during our stay and is very knowledgeable about the area and the best tours. Our doormen, King Saloman, Sir Larry and Sir Lawrance , as my husband liked to call them, were friendly, fun and very helpful. From front to back, the staff was amazing. Rooms are clean, comfortable and beautiful. The breakfast in the morning was wonderful, so many choices. Can you tell we loved our stay!!??

The majority of the staff was obviously focused on serving the wedding party & not the other hotel guests. - The entrance is very small, has a very steep, slippery incline and is difficult to navigate with luggage and vehicles.

Because of the age of the hotel and the weather while we were there, a lot of condensation formed on the inside of the windows of our room. We mentioned to the Concierge that this resulted in what looked like black mold at the base of the windows and it was cleaned up almost immediately.

Pros: My friends and I were very satisfied with our entire stay. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and the rooms were very comfortable. The coffee maker, microwave, and refrigerator are three amenities that I think are often taken for granted! The PB&J bar is not only charming, but a useful and welcome snack when coming in late and not wanting to spend time or money stopping somewhere else for a snack. The rooftop pool and hot tub had amazing views. Though I didn't get to use it, the fitness center on the top floor also looked well equipped and taken care of. The staff was very professional, enthusiastic, and talented. From our hotel, we were able to walk to the French quarter in 10 minutes or less, had instant access to Canal St and the St Charles streetcar, and we were also able to easily walk to the two stadiums. Would definitely look to book here first upon returning to New Orleans.

China, the current manager, was absolutely the rudest manager at a hotel that I gave ever encountered. I couldn’t reach the valet the bring my car around for a flight that I needed to make. I asked for the manager at the front desk and requested that that try to reach them and have my car pulled around. This is what valet should do and a manager should be able to take care of this. She told me to take care of it myself and I told her that’s why I am asking her to do it. She hung up on me. But that’s not all. I tried for 2 days to get the concierge to book a dinner reservation. It never happened. We tried to eat at the Desire restaurant attached to the hotel. The food was cold, not prepared well and took 45 min for 1 breakfast dish that we ordered at 7am when they opened. We were told it was a new cook. Ultimately, the entire bill was comped. We just walked out. I will never stay there again and I’ll make sure to tell everyone I know about my experience.

We were “upgraded” to a suite which had a queen spring with a twin mattress with the springs sticking out so we were unable to use this for our kids but still had to pay the upgrade price. Therefore the “upgrade” did not provide us with any additional sleeping space. The room door key did not work because they had to charge the lock. The concierge desk was impossible to reach to get towels, sheets, ect. It would just ring and go to voicemail. We tried to order food from the in house restaurant and they directed us to their in room menu which did not exist. Our room was two levels with an exit door on each level. I asked if they could deliver our sheets to the second level because we may not hear the knock on the first level and they said they were unable to go to the second level, even though this is a normal hotel floor with a normal hallway door entry so I was confused by this. Many of these issues are likely because they are short staffed with COVID-19 and hopefully will be improved.

Cons: We were unable to reach our hotel. No one told us when we made our reservations that Mardi Gras parades (at least two) would be passing by our hotel after 4:00 p.m. (which is check in) making it impossible to get to our hotel. We waited in traffic for over 3 hours trying to reach our hotel, then the New Orleans police started diverting all the traffic and set up barriers making it impossible to be anywhere near Canal Street. The front desk at the Marriott told us they couldn't guarantee we could reach the hotel by midnight. We had to drive to Baton Rouge to get a hotel and missed out being with family the next day for our grandchild's 1st birthday.

Pros: We only stayed one night but the staff were excellent, very welcoming and friendly. They let us check in early and gave us drink tickets for the hotel bar May Bailey's, even giving us an extra ticket since there were 3 of us. The bartender at May Bailey's was great too, very amiable, and told us the history of the bar and humored my friend when he asked about ghosts. When we came back late at night and were taking pictures, one of the staff recommended a good view from the second floor balcony if we liked pictures. The beds were heaven. I didn't even want to leave the room, those beds were soooo comfortable! Breakfast in the morning was pretty good with lots of options, better than any continental I've ever had. We had a wonderful time, only wish we had been able to stay longer! In future trips to NOLA, I will definitely be staying at the Dauphine Orleans again.

The location is great, close enough to the French Quarter but far enough that its quiet and calm. They are doing some construction but we really wouldn't have known if they hadn't brought it to our attention. This was my 2nd time staying here and as long as the prices stay reasonable, I'll be back!

Pros: The location was great and the staff was very friendly. They had citrus water in the lobby and the bartender there made the best Pimms Cup I’ve ever had. The beds are comfy and you don’t hear any street noise since the area is quieter than the French Quarter. It is an doable walking distance from the French Quarter and also just a 2-3 min walk from the street car line...although don’t rely on the street cars to get you anywhere on a timetable. Especially on the weekends. They have a computer stand in the lobby if you need to print out tickets or anything.
Cons: If you are looking for a relaxing getaway where you sleep in past 9am, then this is not the hotel for you. The housekeeping staff starts their rounds before 9am and bang in and out of each room several times before moving on. I could hear them even when we’re on the other side of the floor. Also, unless you are out of the room by 8:30 and stay out until 8pm, they won’t clean your room. I stayed here for a relaxing getaway four 4.5 days and only had the room serviced once...after we had to ask to have it done on the third day.

Cons: I booked a room more than 6 months in advance. After I booked, I called the hotel directly because I needed a roll away bed. They said no problem, because I had booked an oversized room. Then, about a month prior to my trip I called them directly again to ensure that I would have a roll away bed. The person that I spoke to said that they would put a note in my account - which they did. When I got to the hotel to check in I was told that they did NOT have a roll away bed available because it’s a “first come first serve” basis. I had 5 people in a room with 2 beds, and no where to put that 5th person!! So we paid $566 PER NIGHT for someone to sleep on the floor because nobody told me either time that I called that they could not guarantee a roll away bed!!! Everywhere from the bell hop during the day, to the bartender at night, to the front desk reception. The in-room service was excellent, the food and wine hit the spot. The location was a bit farther from the convention center then I anticipated but it was nice to have a little stroll to and from the conference to the hotel. I really like the decor at Le Meridien. The pool and gym were fantastic!

Overall just OK place, not worth the effort to stay here.

Pros: This was a great hotel and a great value! I enjoyed my stay in the staff did a nice job cleaning the room each morning. The room was very well-equipped and the hotel had a nice lobby, great bar, pool and fitness center. My room even had windows on two sides giving me great views and a feeling of openness. Only low ceiling heights, a tight. Anthropomorphic and carpet as opposed to wood floors keep this hotel from being one of the very best. It has a great boutique feel and killer location near downtown and the French quarter.

Pros: I liked how clean and modern it was.
Cons: It was very expensive for what we got. The only parking they had was valet and it was 47$ a night. After paying 415 for the room seems really steep. We were also really crunched for time Sunday am and had to wait about 20 minutes to get our car which was frustrating. When they tell you to call ten minutes ahead to have your car ready for you.

Pros: The Hotel Modern is close to New Orleans museums, warehouse district that's packed with great galleries and good restaurants. It's also on the streetcar line. Accommodating staff here! I checked into a room with wet carpet--coffee spilled--and then was given a room that was so small that there was not space for a closet and no window. The third room was perfect.

Pros: The location, staff, and amenities at Hotel Modern were wonderful. Everyone that we encountered were really nice and knowledgable. Our room was small but cozy and the bed was unbelievably comfortable.
Cons: The bathroom door didn't stay propped open on its own, so you had to put something in front of it to be able to do your hair and make-up and still be able to converse with anyone else in the room. The drain stopper in our tub was broken--it should have lifted up and down to accommodate filling and draining the tub, but the lever that lifted the stopped did not work. Housekeeping removed the stopper when they saw that we had stuck coffee stirrers in it to prop it open.

Pros: The room was decorated with books and the interior was not like a typical hotel room. The staff was friendly and helpful. Carl at the front desk help went out in the middle of the Lee Circle to get us a cab. Thank you, Carl.
Cons: The walls between the rooms were thin. We could hear a bed shake in another room and clearly hear the noise. In the bathroom, the body soap, shampoo and conditioner bottles were in the dispensers mounted on the bathroom walls, which was fine, but I could get enough body soap from it. The bathtub drainage was very slow. It was a good 20 min walk to Canal St. it was fine with us, but may be too far if you don't like to walk a lot. it's in the Watehouse district where it's quieter, which we preferred.

Cons: We had to ask for things like fresh towels and shower gel repeatedly over the course of the stay. Staff were friendly but slow to help guests. The air conditioning seemed to be motion activated so the nights got pretty warm. The hotel restaurant was delicious but uneven. One meal was incredible while another was served cold and yet another (rabbit sliders) had large pieces of bone. There just wasn't attention to detail.

Pros: The staff was really friendly and helpful! The location is also great! It's about a ten minute walk from the French Quarter and near many of the popular museums in the Warehouse District.
Cons: The stupid AC. It's very hot in New Orleans during the summer and they have an AC unit that's activated by movement. This means every time we went to sleep, it would turn off in 15 minutes and we'd wake up sweating and have to get up so it would turn back on.

Pros: I was a late night check-in that left early morning and the gentleman tending to a few others and myself at that hour was genuine, friendly and super helpful Instead of annoyed or rude. The decor is different yet Inviting, location quiet for the most part and the rooms offer unique niceties (soaps, coffee, etc not like what you'd find at most chains). Loved the books too, what a thoughtful touch!

Pros: Excellent location, can walk to the quarter and streetcars in minutes, can take longer walk to garden district, tons of high quality restaurants nearby. Staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful.
Cons: Make sure you bring drinks for if you get thirsty while in the room. They put out a nice fruit infused water pitcher during the day, but overnight there's no water to be found, just ice machines on alternating floors and a $6 bottle of acqua panna in the room.

Cons: This property is in serious need of a renovation. Carpets are dirty and stretched. Decor is outdated and shabby. The restaurant is not operating. The mattress was painfully old. I requested more pillows because the two provided were insufficient. They never arrived. I called down again to request more and the desk agent finally brought them which means she was the only one on staff. One of the elevators was out of service. It was overall a depressing place to stay.
