Pros: V comfy bed. Good host.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property is lovely, the owners have really gone above and beyond and paid really close attention to detail. My room was spacious and comfortable, it had everything I would expect if I stayed at a hotel. It is a nice modern guest house and the hosts are great. I was worried being a lone traveller out in the sticks, but I felt very safe, It feels like a nice, safe residential area. After reading some other reviews I expected it to be in the middle of the field!! There is a massive Tesco not far from the Guest house that has a great cafe serving hot food in the evening which was great and the host stated the pub is not too far from the hotel. I honestly look forward to staying here again.
Cons: I didn't realise when I booked that there wasn't an ensuite to my room (totally my fault for not checking) my bathroom was just down the hallway. When I was told where my bathroom was I had a bit of dread, however all the other guests were in their rooms and it really wasn't that much bother going down the hall. I believe all the other rooms have an ensuite and I was the only person using the bathroom. It was lovely and clean so I can't complain.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is arguably the best B & B I have ever stayed at. The room was really lovely and big. The bed was nice and comfortable, the best sleep I have had for a long time. The bathroom was massive and had both bath and separate shower. Breakfast was cooked to order (ordered the night before) to a time when you want it. Lovely grounds with wildlife. Would highly recommend it.
Cons: They wasn't anything I didn't like
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: The breakfast was good.
Cons: I stayed in the “family room”. The bed is way too hard. When I told the owner he said that it is an orthopaedic mattress which is definitely not needed unless you have particular issues. Concrete is more pleasant. The bathroom is outside the bedroom.
4.6 Okay
Cons: The rooms are extremely cold during night! My friend and i were awakened by the cold!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: room was beautifully decorated and supplied with courtesy water and tea/coffee making facilities Breakfast was well cooked and well presented with a varied choice, using lovely china crockery, ( particularly likes the scrambled eggs and smokes trout) which were taken in the lovely conservatory overlooking the beautiful gardens. The hosts were very accommodating and there to give local advice, we also purchased some free range eggs and their own honey made from bees in their own apiary. we would highly recommend staying at Pointers

4.2 Okay
Pros: The location is very good, and the room we stayed in was big and quiet. The hotel has a wonderful courtyard if you go for lunch or drinks in good weather.
Cons: There were cobwebs on the windows, and old dust on the furniture. The doors leading to the ground floor rooms had not been cleaned for some time, and the furniture in the lobby is old and uncomfortable. There is no lift and nobody to help with your luggage up a long staircase. The staff tries hard but there are not enough persons to do the job.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was superb for my needs . Room was exceptionally clean . Breakfast was nice though you do have a little wait for this service but it is freshly cooked ( no preheated food ).
Cons: Price is expensive unless you can get good deal .
7.0 Good
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and as it faced the inner court it was quiet. The hotel is centrally located so ideal for the shops and restaurants. The dinner and breakfast was good. Parking is free and you can actually stay in the car park after checking out so very handy if you want to wander in the town.
Cons: The door key got stuck initially but we worked it out with some help from the staff. The heating control was not working initially but had been turned off by a previous occupant. It was rectified by the staff very quickly.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Really good value for money. Beds were comfortable, bar was great. Rooms were clean. Perfectly serviceable in a good location. There's a pub in the nearest village of Sawtry (a 2 minute drive) which does decent pub grub.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location very friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: Nothing
5.8 Okay
Pros: The towels were very good quality. The staff were welcoming and helpful. Parking was easy and safe. TV and Wi-Fi all worked well. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good.
Cons: The room and particularly the shower needed refurbishment/redecoration. The shower was very small. There was no chair in the room so the desk could only be used standing up. There was a sofa but it was in poor condition. I had a 'Premium' room but the standard rooms were better, with better furniture (and chairs). The hotel is close to the A1(M) and as the room was on the road side of the hotel even with the window closed there was a lot of road noise..
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was a bonus i wasn't expecting. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for my work
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfy bed
Cons: Kettle wasn't clean inside
7.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast good, coffee good , staff pleasant.
Cons: The bathroom was OK however the finishing was poor. Any sealing around shower base or edging around facings looked as if it was done by an infant. This can be a breeding ground for dirt as it cant be wiped properly. Perhaps needs some attention.
3.4 Mediocre
Pros: Leaving.
Cons: Booked a double...Given a twin. Old and tatty.

1.0 Poor
Pros: Breakfast was freshly cooked and prompt. location ok but by a fairly busy junction
Cons: Room was extremely poor. Faulty electrics and lighting. Disgusting black mould on bathroom grout and sealant and the shower head itself. Taps on washbasins were faulty. One bed had not been changed from previous occupant. Only one spare socket outlet.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Good parking, quiet village location, nice proper old pub.
Cons: Bed was uncomfortable, the room was not very clean, the bath was cracked and had been repaired many times but was falling apart again. At breakfast I was not asked if I wanted tea or coffee.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Staff friendly and helpful, good location, bed comfortable, nice towels.
Cons: Bedroom needs a lot of TLC particularly plumbing and lighting.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything clean tidy lovely food
Cons: Nothing
1.0 Poor
Pros: The bed was comfy and at least that was clean and it was a large room. *(Cold at first but quickly warmed up)
Cons: Dont go simple as that. The noise was crazy ridiculous. I had called booking.com to cancel within hours of arriving. My room was directly of the bar and it has zero sound proofing. Good luck anyone trying to get to sleep before closing time. The bathroom was covered in mold.. the tiles... even the walls! Everything creaks when you walk across a room A ridiculous 15 inch tv One light bulb was blown One actual lamp was blown and the other blew when I turned the kettle on! The socket on their extension cable 3rd along blew! There is only one socket you can use so no laptop unless you bring your own extension cable. The tap didnt work so couldn't wash your hands with a hot cold water mix. The toilet seat fell off! It's a small local village pub nothing around there. Muddy car park. I swapped my knife at the table for another as it had food still stuck to it.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Easy to reach and within distance of working area, easy booking in and great food. Good parking facilities. Travelled alone and was given a family room, loads of room.
Cons: Not many sockets within the room for electrical items. I had a bathroom with shower attachment which was too small to fit in...lol. Not a big problem though as I was only there 1 night.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Easy check in and nothing too much trouble. Helpful staff.
Cons: My TV didn't work on arrival but it was sorted quickly. Unfortunately the next morning it wouldn't work again!
2.9 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Dirty towels on the floor. Stained towel folded on my bed. No food because the gas isn’t working but they do Chinese food? I booked the ‘Deluxe’ room, there was nothing deluxe about it. Shower was boiling I mean far too hot. Couldn’t get it to cool down was a terrible experience. Condensation dripping from pipes in the bathroom. Cobwebs everywhere! And spiders on the ceilings. Teabags and coffee in the room but an empty sugar bowl and no milk. No official check in check out service. As the welcoming book stated “please advise us time of arrival before check in” anyone reading this welcome pack would have already checked in. Breakfast is not available because there is a shortage of staff according to the welcome pack. Full of excuses from the get go. I booked for two nights and just stayed one.
2.5 Mediocre
Cons: No wifi. It was closing down. We were the only guests. Greeting very rude. She was not happy to see us as she did not want the booking!
5.8 Okay
Pros: Room was very basic. Served a purpose. Shower nice and powerful and hot.
Cons: Could do with a little TLC. TV didn’t work, no hot water to basin. Plug sockets operated from extension leads sat on top of the chest of drawers. No spare loo roll so we ran out ! Cobwebs on the walls.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff here were warm and friendly. The food was really good. The room was in a separate building and was spacious although basic. For the price paid I would happily stay here again.
Cons: The Elephant and Castle is tired and really needs some investment to improve it, although the room rates reflect this.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Friendly and helpful lady who showed me to my room. Good to be able to park right outside your room. Bed was reasonably comfortable, pillows not so much unfortunately.
Cons: Very run down facilities, despite having microwave, fridge (poor condition), kettle and toaster available. Needs updating. Accommodation is not suitable for tourists as is very basic. Nearby train could disturb some customers. WiFi was also not very reliable. Shower floor and toilet bowl was stained.
6.3 Good
Cons: It wasn’t very clean The fridge in the corner sounded like a train all night The TV remote wouldn’t work so you couldn’t watch the tv. The mattress was like a soft sponge.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: The was nothing around
Cons: Room was cold and there was no pub as it was getting done up but had a look and there was nothing happening she said she told booking.com and was sorry

Pros: Booked this hotel very last minute based on its location. Really easy to find. Checking in was no hassle. Staff very friendly. Food was lovely in the restaurant and definitely value for money.
Cons: I don't think its necessary to charge a £50 deposit, but it is refundable and there were no issues.
